Ha, I'm sure of it.
Before we kick off this episode, let's do a recap of the boys performance on New Years!
I did't get to watch it myself but i saw clips on twitter and just oh my f*cking god,
we are so blessed to have such men in our life?
Like look at these f*cking men, i just can't stress it enough they're so beautiful.
Okay, so today we're gonna discuss the I NEED U era, and like if I'm being honest
i already want to die.
This was such a game changer for the boys and they got their first big win during this
era!
But i'll get more into that later on, anyways okay so on the 29th of April 2015 BTS dropped
an album titled "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 1", And the album consisted
of 9 tracks, with I NEED U as the lead single and it also included Dope which the boys promoted
later on, but i'll talk about that in a different video.
This album included tracks that all the boys participated in writing and working on, and
on the 17th of April an animated comeback trailer was uploaded to BTS's youtube channel.
And on the 19th of April Big Hit released the
first set of concept photos for the new era and revealed the album's title name.
And then on the 23rd of April, Big Hit uploaded the teaser for the I NEED U music video.
And finally on the 29th of April the music video was released and we were all left in
a state of mysterious nostalgia
and i don't know like deada** i was like, "what the
f*ck just happened?
Because it had a different feel from their other music videos, and you could tell there
was a plot just beginning to build up but we had no clue what that plot was yet.
tbh we still really don't :/
But anyways like i said before, this song really kind of gave BTS some recognition.
Like right after the release of the album, I NEED U became the top trending search on
Korean Portal sites, and ranked number one on various music charts.
The song also cracked the top 10 on Melon, Bugs, and the Naver Music's real time music
charts.
Anyways, i'll get more into it later, but yeah the album featured tracks that were like
raw as f*ck and talked about their struggles and stuff, and then other tracks were such
bops and left me shaking my a**, so it was pretty versatile and like i can listen to
it whenever.
okay so now onto categories.
First Category: Style Alright so the boys really just rocked such
aesthetic looks during this era and it's definitely one of my favorites style wise.
They filmed the jacket shooting and in it they wore such unique outfits, and like i
won't go too in depth on them because i just want to talk about their looks on stage
and for the music video, but just know I'm not leaving that out, look at these gorgeous
men, ha alright anyways, They all rocked really simple looks and if we talk individually Jimin
wore white t shirts with ripped skinny jeans, and i don't know there were just a lot of
different looks for him, like sometimes he would wear button ups with blazers or they
would wear clothes that kind of reminded me of like a sailor's outfit lmao
Jin wore white button ups quite often, and in the music video he wore these capris with
the shirt and he looked like such a man wow.
RM also wore like white t shirts with black pants, and i remember him wearing a choker
one time ha ;) In the music video he wore a short sleeved red flannel with suspenders,
and he also was filmed wearing a grey sweatshirt with a jacket and a baseball cap and just
wow he looked like such boYFRIEND MATERial and i am so deada** in love with this man,
okay i don't know how we got on that topic, but w0w such a look, godd*mn.
J Hope really looked so gorgeous during this era and he wore white t shirts pretty often
and sometimes paired them with bomber jackets, he also wore hats sometimes and just yes,
what a look.
Alright now onto this hunk of a man called Suga, oh my gosh yes here we go!
Okay so he wore lots of white t shirts with these ripped jeans and a belt and yes, i am
scREAMING.
I remember in those star cast episodes he also wore a jean jacket with a white t shirt,
and just they were such simple looks, yet they were so beautiful.
I remember this being the time where the boys deemed V as the "fashion terrorist" and just
awe poor baby boy :,(
I remember him wearing a pair of sandals with these pants that had a really wide cut at
the bottom, and just lmao i don't know what I'm even saying but yeah, this was before
he was the Gucci King ;)
In the music video he wore a hoodie with a jacket, and on stage he would also wear lots
of white short sleeved button ups and things like that.
Jungkook was really beginning to turn into such a man, like wow(?)
This was when he started to become known for only wearing white t shirts and his tims,
lmao and he wore lots of t shirts and button ups like the rest of the members.
So yeah, overall they had so many different outfits they wore, and like i don't know
what to call it, but they were so aesthetic and had a like wet look, i don't know, this
era's style was such a blessing holy f*ck.
Second Category: Hair Alright so all of the boy's had pretty similar
styled hair for this era, and only Suga and RM had like unnatural colors going on, okay
so Jimin's hair was brown and just aw he looked so cute ! ! ! he wore it in his face but
it always looked so fluffy and soft and just wow, I'm sad i wish i could touch this boy's
hair, alright Jin also had brown hair and he wore it down and it was usually parted
to one side, and just jesus he always looked like he was straight out of an anime! like
godd*mn this man is so gorgeous, RM like i said was one of the two who had an unnatural
hair color, and his hair was dyed like a silver kind of blonde
I don't know, but he wore it down in his face, and tbh i love when joon wears his hair
in his face cause its all cute and messy, so i really liked how he looked during this
time.
J hope, oh my gosh i seriously just can't stress this enough. his hair was so beautiful
and i want everyone to hear that in like a determined tone(?) so just hear that tone right
now, J hope is sO BEAUTIFUL & THIS ERA'S HAIR ON HIM WAS SUCH A LOOK BIH.
Okay that's all, but his hair was dyed black and he wore it in his face and like i don't
know man. he's worn it like this before in the past, but something about this time
around looked so nice on him and his bangs were kind of sparse, but it worked so well
for him and yep okay thats all!
Suga was the second of the two with the unusual hair colors, and his was a really light pink,
almost looked kind of faded, but i think it really added to the aesthetic, He also wore
his down in his face and had his bangs all long.
V and Jungkook both had dark brownish hair and they both wore it down in their face,
but V's bangs were cut like straight across his face, and kook's hair was parted to
one side similar to Jin's.
Once again their hair was usually always like damp, and they performed with it like that
and they always had an overall wet kind of look going on… hmmmmm theories.
Third Category: Makeup.
Alright we do this every episode, and each time there's really not much to say, and
it's like that for this episode too.
I'm pretty sure they of course wore like foundation and stuff so that they looked all
flawless, but this era and music video really didn't portray them as famous idols(?) like
if you watch the music video there isn't even any dancing or anything, the music video
makes them come off as just like an average group of friends, so i think thats why they
weren't out here with smokey eyes and bold statements lmao, they just rocked a more natural
kind of look.
Fourth Category: Variety Shows.
Alright so i also want to make a video on the Dope era, but that era was during the
same time period as the I NEED U one since both songs are on the same album, so like
what i'm trying to say is that if you think i missed a show or something, it's probably
because i'm saving it for the next episode, Alright but one show they did participate
in was the Naver star cast series, and like i think i can show these in my vids because
the videos are on youtube and have been for years now, but anyways so it wasn't like
a real variety show, but the boys would draw little papers out of a bowl and do whatever
challenge/activity was written on the paper, and they did so many cute challenges
and just here's a quick compilation.
The boys did reappear on Weekly Idol though!
They also appeared on YaMan TV, and i loved this episode so much and i wish they'd go
back on this program because deada** it was so funny.
They also went back on the After School Club and talked about their new album and what
we could expect from the boys in the future.
They released their summer package DVD of them in Kota Kinabalu as well.
Fifth Category: Awards Won Alright ladies and gentlemen here we go, let's
just get this one out of the way and talk about it first, BTS scored their first ever
M Countdown win with I NEED U, they won first place and took home a beautiful trophy that
we all know Suga loves and adores and just yep!
Our babies deserved it and as a way to celebrate they put on lipstick and performed their encore,
lmao you never know what you're gonna get when you stan bangtan.
Alright anyways, they also won Best Male Dance at the Melon Music Awards
and lastly they won first place at KBS Music Bank.
Sixth Category: Some of my Favorite Moments.
Alright, lets kick back and start with bangtan bombs, the first one is just the video where
the boys are playing Jenga and Jin shows his skills, and it ends up with Jimin having to
kiss Suga and just wow my Yoonmin heart! <3<33! !
I also really just love the one of J Hope filming and going around and messing with
the boys while they're sleeping and Suga curses him out, so iconic.
And then outside of Bangtan bombs i really like that one video where the boys are playing
the game where you steal the bone from the dog, and all the boys get scared and its just
so cute.
I also really enjoy the festa radio where the boys switch parts in the song and Suga
nails those high notes.
Another is the clip where the boys are reacting to old videos, and they play Suga's audition tape
And there we go, era explained.
I wanted to do a whole category on theories, but deada** it would be so long and i really
don't even have a solid theory in my head that i agree with, because everyone always
says something different oh my lord, but that's why i want you guys to comment what you think
the f*ck is going on and explain to me what your theories are, that way i can comment
back to everyone individually and actually have conversations lmao, and we all can be
open minded and see what others say.
I really want to read some good theories and be left in a state of denial for a few days
so give it your best shot.
