Hey.
What's up, guys?
This is Kevin The Tech Ninja and today we're going to talk about VPN.
Now VPN may not be the sexiest subject to talk about, but with everything that's going
on in the world as far as hacking, leaked information, and stuff like that, VPNs now
are more important than ever.
And if you're wondering what a VPN does, it protect your privacy and encrypts your connection
to servers when you browse the Internet.
So this means your Internet service provider cannot spy on you and know exactly what you're
doing, to sell this information or block you from accessing certain things.
NordVPN has over 1,000 servers in 61 countries and they're always adding more servers.
NordVPN is based out of Panama, which is a premiere location for VPN.
In my use I didn't notice any speed differences, as they have super fast servers.
It didn't matter if I was accessing the Internet via a server in Mexico or Latvia.
The Internet was just as fast if I wasn't using NordVPN.
You can access VPN servers through a super intuitive map with pop-ups that give you all
of the available locations to connect to.
You can also type in any country in the search field and connect from there.
So NordVPN is the only VPN service to get all the green checks from PCMag's VPN line-up
of 2017.
If that hasn't convinced you yet, it was also given the Editor's Choice from PCMag
and is recommended by CNet, Buzzfeed, and Wired.
So pretty much everyone is jumping on NordVPN right now just because of what it offers.
So, speaking about what it offers, let's actually take a look into what VPN offers
for the subscription.
So, unlike other paid VPN services, NordVPN actually allows you to have up to six simultaneous
connections of one account.
This means you could share it with friends or family, or just have all your devices running
at once downloading stuff, if that's what you're into.
Not only that, it's also one of the only ones to give you unlimited and unrestricted
bandwidth for each and every device.
Which means you can pretty much use exactly what you want and when you want on every
single device that's active.
With NordVPN you're given full control of where you're connected and when you're
using iOS, Android or Windows or Mac app.
And there's a dedicated 'Kill Switch' to just kill the connection if you want to
switch off the VPN for a minute.
So let's look at some of the features that you get when you sign up for NordVPN.
For security you get military grade encryption, you get CyberSec which is going to shield
you from intrusive advertisements and malicious online threats.
You also get Double VPN which is going to encrypt your Internet traffic twice to create extra
layer of online privacy.
Now when you use a VPN, you do always lose a little bit of speed, it doesn't matter
who the VPN is.
So, you gonna lose some speed in terms of how fast it is with your regular Internet
with no protection at all and then with a VPN.
So these are the speeds that I got with the VPN and then without the VPN.
Check this out.
Now without a VPN I was getting anywhere between 93 and 73 down, upload speeds were about 34,
33.
And then with the VPN on I was getting speeds of anywhere between 33 and 50.
So download speeds did drop a significant amount.
But you've got to remember those are still very decent speeds and I'm getting way more
protection than I was before.
My upload speeds almost untouched.
Remember, they were 34 on the other one with it off, but with it on I got anywhere 32
and 30.
And again, that's pretty much the same.
The other interesting thing was that actually my ping time were actually lower with the
VPN on vs. with it off.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte BLASTS board: I need THREE strikers
ANTONIO CONTE has piled more pressure on the Chelsea board by insisting he needs three strikers to stand any chance of winning something this season.
And Conte, at odds with the Chelsea hierarchy over signings all season, for the first time held out the chance that Michy Batshuayi may have a future at Stamford Bridge after his two goals condemned Newcastle to FA Cup fourth-round defeat.
Chelsea are still in talks with Roma over a £30million deal for striker Edin Dzeko, which they hope to conclude before the transfer deadline on Wednesday night.
Previously Conte had hinted that if the Bosnian arrives Batshuayi, who wants a move, would leave on loan, with Sevilla interested.
But Batshuayi made it an astonishing 19 goals in 18 starts in his Chelsea career with his double strike, and after Marcos Alonso added a third, he said: "When I have a chance I take the chance.
I work hard every day.
What happens is not up to me – it is better you ask the manager.".
Conte would not answer directly, but said: "When you play Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup, three strikers is the minimum.
If we are able to take another player, it doesn't mean Michy has to go on loan.
"We only have two strikers, Alvaro Morata and Batshuayi, and Morata is out injured.
Batshuayi has been told by Belgium coach Roberto Martinez that he needs to be playing if he is to be in contention for the World Cup finals, but Conte said: "Every player wants to play to push the coach of their national team.
If the club decides to add another player, I don't know if Michy wants to stay or go on loan.
"It will be the player's decision, not my decision.
I'm ready to continue to work with these players.
"I'm happy for Michy.
This performance was very important for him and the team.
We are talking about a young player with great potential.
"For me the most important thing is the present, not the future.
Otherwise I would have taken other choices.
Michy has improved in many ways.".
Batshuayi is likely to play again in Wednesday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth – unless he is on the move – with Morata still recovering from a back problem.
Disappointed Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez said: "We started well, but after we went two goals down we were more open.
"We have time to bring in new players.
Time to do some business before the 31st".

How much content do I need to create? - Duration: 6:09.
Hi Rachel Lindteigen, President & Founder of Etched Marketing.
I'm so glad that you've joined us today for marketing tips or Monday's marketing tip
This is a new segment that I'm bringing you. Every Monday
I will jump on here and do a Facebook live where we talk about one marketing tip.
One thing that you can learn in a quick session, I promise that they'll be less than 10 minutes
and it'll give you an actionable item that you can walk away with and implement in your business. Today's marketing Monday
marketing minute
discussion is how frequently do I need to post content?
This is one of the most common questions that I receive from
people. They want to know how often do I need to do video?Hhow frequently do I need to post to my blog?
If I'm doing a podcast what do I need to do? The thing that I always tell people is
consistency is going to be the absolute key here.
In my experience working in SEO and digital marketing for the last 15 years what I've seen is that
consistently publishing great content is more important than anything. I think
that you need to publish once per week.
One blog post, one email
one video or one podcast episode. Whatever it is. I know that you may hear different recommendations.
I know you will hear different recommendations from different people. I know that within the industry we often have told clients
to blog two or three times per week
and there is a
definite correlation between the number of times each week that you post and the number of leads that are generated from a blog.
However the caveat for that is that
if you are doing this on your own or you have a very small team and you really don't have someone who is
dedicated to content creation and you are trying to do it yourself or everybody's trying to write blog posts in addition to what they're doing
you're probably not going to be able to consistently
write, research, optimize and publish two or three posts in a week.
The reason that I think this recommendation applies
to large businesses where have full content teams
but not small businesses, startups, solopreneurs, and entrepreneurs is just that.
The lack of time that you have, there are a finite number of hours in the week, and when you are
working on all the different things, and you have a million responsibilities
content creation can become the item that goes to the bottom of the list. This is something that I hear from clients,
it's something that I hear from friends and relatives who are small business owners.
They struggle with creating content consistently. This is why I say once a week.
I think one post, one podcast episode, one video,
whatever it is once a week, is enough.
For the average small business owner you have to do what you are able to do on a consistent basis.
Google, YouTube
The search engines are going to reward you for
creating
consistent content. You will get further by doing one post a week
than you will if you post two, three, four, or even five days a week for only a few weeks
and then you burn out and you're not able to keep up with that cadence.
That's where you will run into issues. So once a week. That's it. It's pretty simple.
Decide what type content you're going to create. Are you going to blog if so blog once a week?
Are you going to do a Facebook live video show or are you going to post videos
to YouTube once a week? Are you going to do a podcast episode once a week?
It's really simple, one time a week is really what you need to be able to make enough impact
with your content to show your audience that you are producing
consistently so they know they can come back and see you and read your content each week and
to signal to the search engines that you are producing content on an ongoing
basis. It's that that simple to answer the question. How often do I need to blog?
Start with once a week. If you're thinking but Rachel,
I really feel like I want to get to 2 or 3 a week.
I want you to do once a week for at least a quarter and make sure that you can keep up that
schedule and then the next quarter do once a week and in the background
I want you to write that second post and I want you to make sure that for an entire quarter
you are able to consistently create that second post even though you're not posting it yet.
Then you will have a little bit of a backup in case something happens.
You'll have a few in the back that you can pull out if you do ever have an issue when you move to that
twice a week cadence
but
don't jump in it twice a week start with.
Once you decide you want to go further than that, you want to do more than that, then test it.
Don't publish more than once a week until you have consistently written two posts a week for for a full quarter for 12 weeks.
Then you will have
12 backup posts that will be there & available
to you should you ever need them. should you ever run into a crazy week or a vacation or a deadline.
Something where you can't hit that second post that you've promised. Don't start with a whole bunch and
fall apart.
That's it. Hope that you found something quick and easy
here so that you can implement it in your business today.
