This friend of mine was a bass player, who used to be a busker in London,
asked me to film his music video. He gave me a sample of his music.
He plays pretty well. Wow, this is cool!.
The song was about two minutes long.and.
I said, what if we film in the subway, pretending that you are a busker!. Yeah?, that could be a good idea. Let's do it?
Yeah, Let's do it! boom. That's it! We are done with the idea!
Busker. Tunnel. let's get a girl in the video, just to energize atmosphere!
Man I don't know about the video, but this tunnel here did a great job! didn't it?
it is funny to see like how clothes can inspire you to make an
editorial story. movies can also inspire you. news, like stuff that you see on TV or
Newspaper or whatever. also music, but in this case here, man, it was the tunnel!
I always want to photograph something here, but never had a chance!
then I got a phone call from a friend, saying that there was a film crew in town, and the videographer was in need of an assistant.
he asked me if I could give the guy a help.
I said yes, let me do it! I have always been curious about video making!

to make a long story short, me and the videographer got along very well and after the shooting was done,
He asked me if I was interested on photographing one of the models somewhere around town, just for fun.

Yeah, we have a red cat suit!! wow, when he said that, the very first thing that came across my mind,
was the Batgirl! The batgirl also wore a cat suit, right? and I asked
What's the name of the model? he says Alicia!
Bloody hell, Alicia Silverstone was one of the very first batgirls, wasn't she?. What a coincidence!!
What if we get Alicia wearing the cat suit.
Pretending that she's the batgirl.

I had a 28-70 mm zoom, with a handy flash and
I was shaking the camera like a maniac,
to give this motion blur around
the model. yeah? that is what I was looking for.
Also say in the beginning of this video, man
I was assisting this videographer and I was really impressed by the passion he had for his work.
This guy was having the best time of his life.
And I could totally relate to that because when I'm shooting for magazines or catalogues or whatever I'm also
having a great time!. I said to myself, bloody hell,
I'm gonna go and buy a video camera and film some videos just for the hell of it!
I just want to learn, you know, and then I went out,
bought this camera, a canon g5x, a little gimbal, and went out to film the
craziest event in the world!!.
The Tokyo Halloween, you can't believe what this event is like, it is like we talk about
hundreds of thousands of people dressed to kill!!
Literally dressed to kill, everyone was having a great time!
And I filmed this video there, and then I posted on Facebook and a friend shared it on his timeline.
And one of his friends, who supposes a zombie,
saw the video,
Got out of his grave. and gave me a call asking me if I could
film his
Music video!!. the guy was a musician and he had a new song out there
and He wants me to go and film his music video.
And I said, what? I said, sure!! why not? let's get together and see what's up, so we got together
We had a little chat and blah blah blah, and a few days later
He sent me a mp3 file along with the lyrics of the song, and the song was very suspicious!!.
it was something about
Somebody who's pushed off a building by somebody else and by the end of the story, finds himself even happier to be
Dead. it's like, life after death is more interesting than being alive!!
I was like wow!! that was very intense!! how I gonna film a video
based on this song?
Then I listened to it over and over and over and over and over again.
Then guess where I filmed that video? guess where? check this out!
So my point is, you are photographer so you are an image maker!
The same way you composes a photo
Is the same way you compose a video. in both ways you're telling story. A guy who I know out there
told me that eventually photography will die.
I don't really think so!. but seems to me that the world wants to watch more videos!.
So, since you are an image maker you can take photos and you can take videos too!!
It's the same way right? in both the ways You're telling story.
Can I give you an advice? Why don't you also shoot some videos?
It's a lot of fun!! editing can be a bit of a kick in the eye, but it's fun!
what if you have a photo shooting, then you film a behind of the scenes videos and
and blend it together with the stills. put a soundtrack on the top, and then
Upload it to your Instagram! who knows? maybe one day, some zombie will check your Instagram and call you to film his
music video!!
