How to shoot a fashion editorial, #6, how to shoot a music video, どのようにファッション誌を撮影するか - Duration: 16:10.
GoPro, have you ever heard that quote? There is always a light at the end of the tunnel? Have you ever heard that?
The Road Runner, my favorite cartoon ever!
just loved watching it and I was so good.
That stupid dog, the coyote there. always ends up having his face smashed by a train coming out of the tunnel.
oh my god!. What a loser!, and talk about tunnel.Check this tunnel out!
I don't know why but I love tunnels.
maybe it is because I am an underground kind of guy, but this tunnel here is quite special, isn't it? it's kind of cold.
dark.
Suspicious and these
Lights going all the way down there. I just love it!
It's quite an interesting location for video or photo shooting, isn't it I?
I Love it!
I have known this place for ages.
I've always wanted to photograph here! check this place out!
It's pretty cool! what kind of clothes can you photograph here?
You don't just photograph a guy wearing a suit here! d o you?
it doesn't work like that! you need something special.
This friend of mine was a bass player, who used to be a busker in London,
asked me to film his music video. He gave me a sample of his music.
He plays pretty well. Wow, this is cool!.
The song was about two minutes long.and.
I said, what if we film in the subway, pretending that you are a busker!. Yeah?, that could be a good idea. Let's do it?
Yeah, Let's do it! boom. That's it! We are done with the idea!
Busker. Tunnel. let's get a girl in the video, just to energize atmosphere!
Man I don't know about the video, but this tunnel here did a great job! didn't it?
it is funny to see like how clothes can inspire you to make an
editorial story. movies can also inspire you. news, like stuff that you see on TV or
Newspaper or whatever. also music, but in this case here, man, it was the tunnel!
I always want to photograph something here, but never had a chance!
then I got a phone call from a friend, saying that there was a film crew in town, and the videographer was in need of an assistant.
he asked me if I could give the guy a help.
I said yes, let me do it! I have always been curious about video making!
working with a pro is the best way to learn. Isn't it?
just tell the guy that I am in.
what time do I have to be there?
5AM
Oh my God!...it is ok! I am in!
to make a long story short, me and the videographer got along very well and after the shooting was done,
He asked me if I was interested on photographing one of the models somewhere around town, just for fun.
sure, why not? have you got some clothes?
Yeah, we have a red cat suit!! wow, when he said that, the very first thing that came across my mind,
was the Batgirl! The batgirl also wore a cat suit, right? and I asked
What's the name of the model? he says Alicia!
Bloody hell, Alicia Silverstone was one of the very first batgirls, wasn't she?. What a coincidence!!
What if we get Alicia wearing the cat suit.
Pretending that she's the batgirl.
posing some crazy stuff! crazy poses! going Wow! and
What if we photograph her,
in the tunnel!
What if I show you the video that we filmed, the pictures also, it is crazy stuff! Out of this world! Check this out!
Buh-buh-buh-buh-buh that was a bit too fast. Yeah, sorry. Sorry. Let me show you the pictures one by one, and
Let me explain how I took it.
I had a 28-70 mm zoom, with a handy flash and
I was shaking the camera like a maniac,
to give this motion blur around
the model. yeah? that is what I was looking for.
Also say in the beginning of this video, man
I was assisting this videographer and I was really impressed by the passion he had for his work.
This guy was having the best time of his life.
And I could totally relate to that because when I'm shooting for magazines or catalogues or whatever I'm also
having a great time!. I said to myself, bloody hell,
I'm gonna go and buy a video camera and film some videos just for the hell of it!
I just want to learn, you know, and then I went out,
bought this camera, a canon g5x, a little gimbal, and went out to film the
craziest event in the world!!.
The Tokyo Halloween, you can't believe what this event is like, it is like we talk about
hundreds of thousands of people dressed to kill!!
Literally dressed to kill, everyone was having a great time!
And I filmed this video there, and then I posted on Facebook and a friend shared it on his timeline.
And one of his friends, who supposes a zombie,
saw the video,
Got out of his grave. and gave me a call asking me if I could
film his
Music video!!. the guy was a musician and he had a new song out there
and He wants me to go and film his music video.
And I said, what? I said, sure!! why not? let's get together and see what's up, so we got together
We had a little chat and blah blah blah, and a few days later
He sent me a mp3 file along with the lyrics of the song, and the song was very suspicious!!.
it was something about
Somebody who's pushed off a building by somebody else and by the end of the story, finds himself even happier to be
Dead. it's like, life after death is more interesting than being alive!!
I was like wow!! that was very intense!! how I gonna film a video
based on this song?
Then I listened to it over and over and over and over and over again.
Then guess where I filmed that video? guess where? check this out!
So my point is, you are photographer so you are an image maker!
The same way you composes a photo
Is the same way you compose a video. in both ways you're telling story. A guy who I know out there
told me that eventually photography will die.
I don't really think so!. but seems to me that the world wants to watch more videos!.
So, since you are an image maker you can take photos and you can take videos too!!
It's the same way right? in both the ways You're telling story.
Can I give you an advice? Why don't you also shoot some videos?
It's a lot of fun!! editing can be a bit of a kick in the eye, but it's fun!
what if you have a photo shooting, then you film a behind of the scenes videos and
and blend it together with the stills. put a soundtrack on the top, and then
Upload it to your Instagram! who knows? maybe one day, some zombie will check your Instagram and call you to film his
music video!!
If it happened to me it canalso happen to you!! right?? yeah, try it out!!
Now let me show you the preview of the video gonna be posting here next week!. check this out!.
Now let me ask you something.
Do you think that photography will die? I personally don't think so, but it's 21st century
And I have seen in my facebook feed that more and more and more videos are coming up and it makes me wonder.
I would love to hear from you man. Drop me a comment down below. Let me know what you think about it, okay?
since you there
Why don't you subscribe?! I got an email from YouTube saying that if I don't have 1,000 subscribers
They will not promote my channel!!. those losers!!. so would you please
Subscribe, and drop me a comment, and click like, and buy me a beer,
okay?
Okay, I am off for beer man!! See you!
Beer beer cold beer beer beer cold

FASHION FRIENDS 8 - Rikki Part 2: Work Experience - Duration: 5:37.
Hi, I'm Emily Keller and this is my friend Rikki. She's the founder of Ikki
'Small But Brave' which is a baby clothes line based here in Shanghai. And then
after you graduated so you started working like for companies. Yeah so then
I had this thing in my head that I wanted to live in Italy and so I
basically yeah I remember actually took the train down to Biella and then I was
wearing this wool little suit with my mom's boots that my father had given to
her when she was young. These long suede boots and I walked up the Valle Mosso
Valley, which is the valley near Biella, which is the textile town in Italy.
Other than Prato. Prato is near Florence and then there's Biella, which is between Milano
and Torino which is famous for all the wool processing. Yeah so I took the train
there and then I walked up this little valley which was just one factory next
to the other so like all those Luigi Botto, Loro Piana. Yeah I've been there.
So I walked and I handed my CV to all the factories and yeah I just really wanted to prove that
I could do it you know by myself because I come from a wool family you
know so and my dad was very involved in the textile industry as was my
grandfather but my first job I really wanted to get by myself so I went off
there and walked up and down there I mean if I think now what I did it's just
I just laugh, because then later I actually moved there and I saw that no
one actually walks there, ever. But somehow I loved that but you know when you're so young
you're just so ignorant in a way and ignorance is bliss. And then one of the
mills actually called me for interview which was Luigi Botto and the
owner of the company actually had the interview with me which was really funny
because I you know there was nothing really could ask me because I had no
experience you know it was like it was really employing me on goodwill you know
him maybe liking me and then just giving me the opportunity but once I was
employed his daughter actually told me that the thing that made him employ me
was that I at the end of the interview I mean even this you know it's just crazy
I said him yes so this is my first proper interview ever and at the end of
the interview he said to me, "Okay is there anything you'd like to say?" and then I
said, "I'd just like to know within two weeks if you'd like to have me or not
because I need to get on with my life you know." As if I was already this
really professional and well-known and then he just they laughed and then I
I think I even said are they laughing at me because I couldn't speak Italian at
that time I could speak yeah yeah could speak a little bit of Italian. I think I
did the interview in Italian. and then I said are are they laughing at me and
then the owner said no we laughing with you you know and so it was it was a very
interesting interview and then and the end and they employed me. I don't know why. There I was. How long were you there for?
I was there for four years and then I moved to another company and still in
Italy. It was a wool trading company and I was there for two years and then I
moved to China. Do you want to talk about the company you worked for here? Yeah so that
was a Canadian startup and I was one of the first five employees there and it
was a great experience because it was getting into the whole startup
culture and very exciting and we grew very quickly and they basically hired me
on the spot because they needed someone who knew about fabric and I loved their
vision the two founders were very two young guys and yeah and so then I
started working with them and working with the factories and buying
fabric and doing all the sourcing for everything that went into them. We were
doing men's suiting online and the company is still running and I was there
for four years and it was amazing experience yeah really that's where I
really learned a lot and I have felt like I made a big contribution because I
yeah when you're in a start-up you're just doing everything you know there
were so few of us and we were very connected with what the vision was
of the founder and yeah it was just a very exciting time. I remember at the
beginning I really loved loved working there and going to work every day
because you really felt like what you did made that contribution and I was
making you know, you just had to decide things and go for it you know
because when you're in a start-up you you have to take risks and and so we did
and it turned out well so that's good. So what do you do now? So now and so then
after four years at the Canadian startup I decided to leave and start my own
company which I actually always knew I would do since I was nine years old I
used to play when I was young with my sister and I was always the owner of Kin
Done. Kin Done is like an Australian brand and they did all these like
beautiful bright colored textiles. It used to be really nice toy accessories
like little bags, toiletry bags and I would always sit and I'd be the CEO of Kin Done.
so then I yeah and then over the years you know I saw that there was
a niche for mums because I had a lot of friends who were having kids and they
couldn't find good certified product here and so I sort of put two and two
together because I knew wool is really beneficial for babies. And I wasn't finding really beautiful soft product.

Burglars get away with $500K in high-end goods from Fashion Valley
Authorities Tuesday asked the public for help in identifying a fast-working crew of burglars who broke into a luxury-goods retailer at Fashion Valley mall and made off with more than half a million dollars worth of merchandise.
The group of 10 thieves, all wearing gloves and hooded sweat shirts, used a crowbar or similar tool to pry open the front door of the Hermes De Paris store at the Friars Road shopping center shortly before 4:30 a.m.
Sunday, according to San Diego police.
While inside the business for about two minutes, the bandits stole a variety of items, including purses, jewelry and clothing.
The total loss was estimated at in excess of $500,000.
The burglars arrived and fled in three vehicles -- a white Chevrolet Suburban and two blue sedans of unknown make and model -- with paper license plates.
Officials have released no detailed descriptions of the perpetrators.
Investigators believe the thieves may have taken part in a series of break-in thefts at high-end department stores across California, police said.
Anyone with information about the case was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
