The Dark Side of Being an Empath That You Rarely See

Empaths are typically known as the healers of the world.

They're the people whose senses are heightened, the ones that not only see the different energies

of the world, but actually feel them, experience them.

Those who are not empaths might think that this ability to feel what others feel is a

gift, but if you can convince an empath to talk about their gift,

they might tell you that it's not always sunshine and rainbows.

In fact, it's quite often not a very fun gift to possess at all.

Because of their gift, so many people rely on them for support.

Empaths are almost always trusted because they make people feel safe.

And while the empath is capable of handling the emotions of others, they also experience

quite a bit of stress because of it.

The dark side of being an empath comes in the form of having two conflicting voices

constantly roaring at each other inside of their heads.

Constantly feeling both the good and the bad, the negative and the positive, to the point

that they feel overwhelmed.

Empaths are more susceptible to the negative energies in life.

Their intense ability to feel can't get away from the deep-rooted evils that exist

in the world.

Their deep understanding of how the world exists and operates is enough to confuse and

sadden them.

What they can't understand is why this type of energy exists in the first place, if all

it does is hurt others.

The dark side of being an empath is constantly being exhausted and fatigued from the energies

you absorb.

But, you'd never know it.

Because the empath never dares break down or lose composure.

They quietly observe, acknowledge and feel.

As many others do, empaths want to be loved and accepted for who they are.

But, it is their generosity and kindness that often sees them being taken advantage of by

those who only take, never give.

Empaths are 'givers' by all means, ready to show kindness to those in need at all times.

The dark side of being an empath is not knowing that being so selfless places an incredibly

heavy burden on one's self.

Even the empaths that do recognize the burdensome nature of their selflessness often choose

to ignore it, because carrying that weight is more meaningful

than letting it fall on someone else's shoulders.

The dark side of being an empath is knowing that you willingly neglect both your body

and mind for the sake of others.

A neglect that builds over the years, eventually resulting in the need to go soul, searching

once again, a practice that we only take up when we feel completely lost.

The dark side of being an empath is knowing that even when they fall in love, they never

do so entirely.

They simply aren't capable of giving every ounce of their heart to someone else.

They know that if they tried, the intensity of the passion would most likely be too much

to handle, for themselves and their partners.

Which is why they always keep a little part of them hidden away from the rest of the world.

They keep a guard up out of necessity, even if they want nothing more than to let it down

and succumb to an overwhelming love.

The dark side of being an empath is the war that is always being waged within.

The war they wage against the sadness, the darkness, and the sorrowful side of themselves

that is always trying to rear its ugly head and lead them into self-destruction.

The only way they can fight this successfully is by learning to distinguish between emotions

that are their own, and emotional energies that are imposters,

invading from the outside.

Empaths need people who understand who they are, people they can talk to and who will

listen.

Empaths need to be able to let down the wall they've built up around their feelings so

that they can let their empathic selves do good in their own life.

Otherwise, empaths are destined to fight a war within themselves that never ends.

So, that's the dark side of being an empath that you rarely see, what do you think about

an empaths?

The Dark Side Of Empaths That You Rarely Notice and Must Always Be Cautious Of - Duration: 3:16.

The Dark Side Of Empaths That You Rarely Notice and Must Always Be Cautious Of

It is important to understand others.

That includes when you are dealing with highly sensitive people such as empaths.

Empaths are the people who have a heightened sense and the ones that not only see the different

energies of the world, but actually feel and experience them.

Normal people might think that empaths ability to feel what others feel is a gift, but the

truth is, they might tell you that it's not always a good things to be able to feel

what others feel.

In fact, it's quite often not a very fun gift to possess at all, since empaths also

experience the feeling of other people pain and sorrow.

Mainly because of their gift, most people often rely their ability for support, some

of them even take the advantage of empaths.

While the empaths are able to handle the emotions of others, it also comes with a great burden

and stress for themselves.

The dark side of being an empath comes in the form of having two conflicting voices

constantly roaring at each other inside of their heads.

Constantly feeling both the good and the bad, the negative and the positive, to the point

that they feel overwhelmed.

When that time comes, here is some of things you need to know for understanding empaths

better.

#1 - Filled with negativity

Empaths are highly sensitive for both positive and negative energy.

However, most of the time, people approach empaths when they have negative energy.

They want to share bad news to empaths so that they can be motivated and energized.

This actually leaves the empaths feel helpless and weak since they absorb the negative energy

of people talking to them.

This is the dark side of empaths that many people do not know.

They have heavy burden which actually can make them suffer.

#2 - Self-negligence

Another dark side of empaths is self-negligence.

They tend to understand other people quickly and they want to help others.

This in turns gives less time for the empaths to take care themselves.

Unfortunately, it is not really good thing since the empaths will neglect their needs

of attention, kindness, and positive energy.

#3 - Fraction of love

Empaths feel things more intensely than others.

That also includes positive energy such as love.

Intense love is exhausting instead of satisfying or exciting.

That is why empaths usually tend to be more passive when it comes to love relationship.

Empaths just cannot give full love to others since it will only make them hurt.

People around them definitely need to understand this dark side of empaths to avoid misunderstanding.

Those are all some dark side of empaths that you may not think exist.

Empaths, despite of their extra care to others, are quite fragile.

Can you solve the dark coin riddle? - Lisa Winer - Duration: 5:26.

You heard the traveler's tales,

you followed the crumbling maps,

and now, after a long and dangerous quest,

you have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is you've managed to locate the legendary dungeon

containing the stash of ancient Stygian coins

and the eccentric wizard who owns the castle

has even generously agreed to let you have them.

The bad news is that he's not quite as generous

about letting you leave the dungeon, unless you solve his puzzle.

The task sounds simple enough.

Both faces of each coin bear the fearsome scorpion crest,

one in silver,

one in gold.

And all you have to do is separate them into two piles

so that each has the same number of coins facing silver side up.

You're about to begin when all of the torches suddenly blow out

and you're left in total darkness.

There are hundreds of coins in front of you

and each one feels the same on both sides.

You try to remember where the silver-facing coins were,

but it's hopeless.

You've lost track.

But you do know one thing for certain.

When there was still light,

you counted exactly 20 silver-side-up coins in the pile.

What can you do?

Are you doomed to remain in the dungeon with your newfound treasure forever?

You're tempted to kick the pile of coins

and curse the curiosity that brought you here.

But at the last moment, you stop yourself.

You just realized there's a surprisingly easy solution.

What is it?

Pause here if you want to figure it out for yourself.

Answer in: 3

Answer in: 2

Answer in: 1

You carefully move aside 20 coins one by one.

It doesn't matter which ones: any coins will do,

and then flip each one of them over.

That's all there is to it.

Why does such a simple solution work?

Well, it doesn't matter how many coins there are to start with.

What matters is that only 20 of the total are facing silver side up.

When you take 20 coins in the darkness,

you have no way of knowing how many of these silver-facing coins

have ended up in your new pile.

But let's suppose you got seven of them.

This means that there are thirteen silver-facing coins left

in the original pile.

It also means that the other thirteen coins in your new pile

are facing gold side up.

So what happens when you flip all of the coins in the new pile over?

Seven gold-facing coins and thirteen silver-facing coins

to match the ones in the original pile.

It turns out this works no matter how many of the silver-facing coins you grab,

whether it's all of them,

a few,

or none at all.

That's because of what's known as complementary events.

We know that each coin only has two possible options.

If it's not facing silver side up, it must be gold side up,

and vice versa,

and in any combination of 20 coins,

the number of gold-facing and silver-facing coins

must add up to 20.

We can prove this mathematically using algebra.

The number of silver-facing coins remaining in the original pile

will always be 20 minus however many you moved to the new pile.

And since your new pile also has a total of 20 coins,

its number of gold-facing coins will be

20 minus the amount of silver-facing coins you moved.

When all the coins in the new pile are flipped,

these gold-facing coins become silver-facing coins,

so now the number of silver-facing coins in both piles is the same.

The gate swings open and you hurry away with your treasure

before the wizard changes his mind.

At the next crossroads, you flip one of your hard-earned coins

to determine the way to your next adventure.

But before you go, we have another quick coin riddle for you –

one that comes from this video sponsor's excellent website.

Here we have 8 arrangements of coins.

You can flip over adjacent pairs of coins as many times as you like.

A flip always changes gold to silver, and silver to gold.

Can you figure out how to tell, at a glance,

which arrangements can be made all gold?

The aureole is a giant apron of chaotic material around the volcano

perhaps formed by enormous landslides off the flanks of the giant volcano.

These blocks of layered material have been eroded by the wind into the scenic landscape we see here.

Simon: My life has changed forever

I've been in love before but never like this

Ruth... my whole body is on fire.

I mean this whole ceremony's about love, but...

I know what it is, and I feel like the luckiest man on earth.

Ruth: Creatively we were on fire as well.

He was really into the idea of making films.

Simon: Thank you very much.

Ruth: Literally on the cusp of when he was beginning to do well,

MND came along at the same time.

You are in a room in Dublin...

A man walks in, whom you've never met...

He tells you not to go home tonight

The journey he is asking you to take

is death.

See I could just give you the stock answers, but...

if you already want to hear the truth, it's harder.

I looked into his eyes...

I knew he didn't want to die

and so we fought with everything.

Ruth: I don't think anybody would make a different choice to Simon

It's how you cope after that really that counts.

Simon: I start to write full-time again with my eyes using my new computer.

The film I desire to make is "My name is Emily"

Robert: This is who we are!

Come on!

Assistant: Moving on, close up on Stella face.

Simon: We'll talk to actors.

I was just blown away that he could do that

to be back, directing his movie is a dream come true.

That's a really powerful thing because you begin to really believe in yourself

And you begin to believe in each other, and

it hasn't broken you, I think, is the thing.

MND is defined by loss...

by what is takes away

but this was me taking something back.

How to Treat Dark Spots, Acne Scars, and Improve Skin with Minimal Downtime - Duration: 9:01.

Thank you for your question.

You're 45-years-old.

You submitted several photos and you state that you are dealing with essentially discolorations

and acne scars that is reducing the quality and appearance of your skin.

And you're trying to decide whether laser versus peels will help you get younger looking

skin.

And you state that there are so many options out there.

You want to know which is the best option.

Well, I can certainly share with you how I discuss these exact same concerns in my practice

every day.

A little bit of background, I'm a Board-certified cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial

plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

I have been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island for over 20 years.

Helping people achieve younger looking skin is a critical part of our daily practice whether

a patient comes in for a surgical procedure or specifically for skin issues.

We have a system that we use to apply what is essentially one or two or maybe more of

the many options that you are referring to.

It's understandable why there's such confusion.

There are so many procedures that essentially say the same thing: improve the appearance

of the discoloration, improve collagen, increase collagen, reduce wrinkles.

And so you certainly have a very valid request.

So to begin with, we start by first doing an evaluation.

And what I find is that you want to really come up with a treatment plan.

When it comes to skin, it's not usually a single one-off process where we do one thing

and then you're done.

Now this is of course in comparison to surgical procedures.

For example, if someone comes with under eye bags, well there's a surgical solution.

We do something called transconjunctival blepharoplasty and we reduce the fat pockets and it works

out well.

It's the same thing for upper eyelid surgery or facelifts.

When it comes to skin, there is often the difference between what the patient sees which

are irregularities and discolorations but what's going on underneath.

And what I am referring to is volume loss from bone loss, volume loss from fat loss

as well as what defines healthy looking skin.

For decades now and I've been using lasers for patients since the mid 90s and certainly,

there was the always the gold standard of peels.

The challenge we always have to wrestle with is how much can we do with minimal downtime.

Essentially, we learned from the years of doing ablative procedures which is CO2 laser

or Erbium laser that was fully ablative that the healing process is often something that

requires so much additional time for the patient to be away from work and other obligations

that we've learned to figure out ways to mitigate that even though those are very effective

treatments and sometimes the best option.

So when it comes to skin quality, I often recommend a regular treatment using something

called PRP or platelet-rich plasma.

This is derived from your own blood.

And essentially, the goal of stimulating collagen and improving skin that we would do with laser,

I do with your own natural healing and growth factors which is, as I said, derived from

your own blood.

Now that's like the foundational approach to help the skin improve and glow.

I would say that in comparison to peels, I would say that there is a certain advantage

to certain ablative and also certain non-ablative technologies.

Discolorations have a lot of success using something called a Q-switch laser for pigmentations

and using different wavelengths to treat these different pigmentations whether it's something

called laser toning or specific reduction of brown spots.

Now there's also overlap.

These treatments also have an indirect effect on the acne scars.

We also have strategies using lasers for acne scars.

Acne scars are also very often well served by treatments such as microneedling as well

as injectable hyaluronic acid fillers.

So, although it's very tempting to say ,well what's the one thing I can do to make everything

go away or improve.

It really is more about having a treatment plan.

And this is where selecting a physician who can work with you and really define for you

what your options are, what are the predictable results that would be expected and what kind

of timeframe would that entail and of course, what kind of expense.

We see in our practice that these variables often help patients develop a prioritization

scale for themselves as well as it also has to work with the person's schedule.

So a lot of our procedures are minimally invasive and are done over the course of time with

the expectation that over the course of, let's say, 3 to 6 treatments of a given laser treatment

which doesn't require any downtime will eventually lead to an improvement or combining these

with PRP.

One of the things that I really try to leverage when I try to help my patients with skin is

the synergistic effect.

So PRP combined with hyaluronic acid, combined with laser can really make a much greater

impact.

Basically, the take home message is, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

So it goes back to strategy.

Too many people bounce around from different entities whether it's a medispa or somebody

offering some kind of a discount for a laser treatment and they keep bouncing around and

they never get a satisfactory outcome and they're often frustrated because they hoped

that what was presented to them as a single device, single solution.

And just name the year and you can name the device that was hot for that year until a

new device was hot the next year.

So it's more about a treatment plan and a strategy that it is about a single option.

So find a doctor you're comfortable with and then start getting to the process of helping

your skin look better.

So I hope that was helpful, I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your question.

Fight Dark Spots on Your Neck with 5 Natural Remedies - Canada 365 - Duration: 9:50.

Fight Dark Spots on Your Neck with 5 Natural Remedies

Do you know how to fight dark spots naturally? Darkening of the skin around the neck is a problem that arises when the cells that produce pigmentation are out of control.

The appearance of these spots is a result of direct exposure to the sun and toxins in the environment, although it has also been associated with hormonal changes and a condition known as acanthosis nigricans.

While it's not considered to be a serious health problem, the people who suffer from it tend to lose self-esteem thanks to the thickening of the skin and those notorious spots.

In addition to excessive dryness in the area, it also causes the skin to look slightly dirty, preventing sufferers from wearing certain types of clothing.

Fortunately, there are some natural treatments that can remove these dead skin cells and generate new ones, to give your neck a more uniform tone.

In today's article, we want to share five interesting options with you so you can try them at home.

Check them out!.

Plain yogurt, lemon, and sugar.

The lactic acid contained in yogurt binds with citric acid from the lemon to form a complete treatment for dark spots.

Both products benefit from the exfoliating effects of sugar, removing dead skin cells and revealing healthier skin.

Ingredients.

5 tablespoons of plain yogurt (100 g) The juice from 1/2 lemon 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar (24 g).

Preparation.

Pour the yogurt into a bowl and mix in the juice from half a lemon and the sugar.

Once you have a gritty paste, you can proceed to apply it.

Mode of application.

Rub this treatment over your neck using a gentle circular massage.

Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse.

Repeat this two to three times a week for the best results.

Note: only use this treatment at night because exposure to the sun could have unwanted side effects.

Tomato and apple cider vinegar.

A natural mask made with tomatoes and apple cider vinegar can help lighten your skin while antioxidants repair it.

This will moisturize any dry areas and minimize that pigmentation that causes such an unsightly appearance.

Ingredients.

1 ripe tomato 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (20 ml).

Ingredients.

2 tablespoons of baking soda (20 g) 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (30 g).

Preparation.

Mix the baking soda with the coconut oil until you have a homogeneous paste.

Mode of application.

Apply this product to the skin of your neck, focusing on any pigmented areas.

Leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse.

Repeat its use two to three times a week.

Oatmeal and olive oil.

The mixture of oatmeal and olive oil gives you a natural exfoliant with properties that will lighten your skin, which is ideal for those pigmented areas.

Ingredients.

2 tablespoons of oatmeal (20 g) 2 tablespoons of olive oil (32 g).

Mix the oatmeal and olive oil together in a bowl.

Mode of application.

Apply this product to your skin and leave it on for 30 minutes.

Rinse while using a circular massage to remove any dead skin cells.

Use this three to four times a week.

Onion and lemon.

Thanks to the high content of sulfur compounds, onion is one of the best ways to reduce the appearance of dark spots.

Lemon juice will be used to enhance this treatment, to eliminate dead skin cells and obtain a more uniform skin tone.

Ingredients.

The juice from 1/2 onion The juice from 1 lemon.

Preparation.

Extract the juice from half an onion and mix in the lemon juice.

Mode of application.

In the evening, rub this treatment on any spots on your neck and let it act for 30 minutes.

Rinse and repeat it every night before going to bed.

Note: thanks to the lemon juice, you should only use this treatment at night.

Be sure to put on sunscreen the following day.

As you can see, you don't have to spend huge amounts of money on expensive treatments to get rid of those dark spots on your neck.

Choose the one that catches your eye and use it regularly to get healthy tone back in this area of your skin.
