9 Fashion Moments You Probably Missed From Golden Globes 2018, Between the beauty looks,
sparkly accessories and the fact that most celebs were dressed in black in support of
the Time's Up movement, there were probably a few standout style moments you didn't catch
at the 2018 Golden Globes.
Don't fret—there was a lot to process.
From Diane Kruger's superwoman cape to the way sheer sleeves wafted through the air or
how a train was draped on the red carpet—these are all important details that could make
a good look that much greater.
For instance, Dakota Johnson's Gucci dress was already stunning from the front—the
silver belt buckle brought the simple, streamlined dress together.
However, from behind, it was a totally different-but-just-amazing story.
A pleated bow, embellished and embroidered, transitioned into rays of sequins that glittered
down all the way into her train.
It was eye-catching, if not stunning.
On a more relatable note, you may have missed Gayle King's accoutrements.
On top of a write of bling, we could spot Under Armour fitness tracker bracelet.
We're thinking Oprah's BFF probably got her steps in.

ISSA RAE From the front, the strap details on the Insecure
star's Prabal Gurung dress just looks poufy.
However, from the back, you can see how a long piece of fabric transitions from the
shoulder down into a train.
It's business in the front and a party in the back.
GWENDOLINE CHRISTIE The Game of Thrones star's Giles Deacon dress
features layers of different fabrics, flowing in varying directions and creating a current
of multi-dimensional textures that seemingly wrap around her body until it all forms together,
like canals into the river that is her train.

GAYLE KING Oprah's BFF sure does love her bling, but
look closer and you'll also see an Under Armour fitness band as well.

MANDY MOORE You probably didn't notice that the This Is
Us star's Rosie Assoulin gown has pockets!
We're also loving how the halter neckline flows over the shoulder into a train.
JAMIE CHUNG The former Real World star may look like she's
wearing mismatched shoes, but the Sophia Webster Black and Silver Rosalind Heels are intentional
and give the overall look more interest.
DAKOTA JOHNSON The back of Dakota's Gucci dress made a statement,
to say the least.
ANGELINA JOLIE When the actress twirled in her custom-made
Atelier Versace dress, so did the sheer overlay with feather trim.
The proportions of the bottom of the dress and the top mirrored each other in the best
way possible.
Plus, it just looked fun!
CHRISTINA HENDRICKS At first glance, the Mad Men star looks like
she's wearing a beautiful, off-the-shoulder A-line gown.
However, on closer inspection, you'll notice the skirt opens up to cropped pants.
The Christian Siriano velvet bodice is a subtle but perfect complement to the simple bottom.
MARGOT ROBBIE While the metallic accents on the front of
the Gucci dress is visually stunning, it's not until the actress turns to the side do
you really appreciate how the same detailing pops on the sleeves.

Over the weekend, we all watched the Golden Globes,
and you know, what was really beautiful about
-the Golden Globes was the #MeToo Movement. -Huge.
-Yes. -As a woman, it felt very empowering.
We saw Oprah speak, brought a lot of us to tears.
But I would love to know
-your thoughts on the movement, as well. -Yeah.
It is so beyond necessary,
and when I think of my years of being a model,
I was very lucky that I didn't have a photographer
or somebody do any of those types of things to me.
Very lucky.
However, I would go on a casting,
and meet with the photographer in his apartment, in Paris.
He'd look at my portfolio and say thank you.
Then, the next model would come out,
and meet me back at the models' apartment,
she's like, "Oh, my God, did he try to... with..."
-And I'm like "No." -Whoa.
So I've been so close to those experiences,
and I've seen them, and heard them.
But they became so normal, we didn't even report it.
It would be, like, "Oh, he's just a creep,"
and "He's a this," and da, da, da, like,
it was just a normal thing that you heard.
That you just got used to it being disgusting,
and part of your job.
But can you also say,
is it kind of like a demeanor thing?
If you hold yourself as a certain demeanor,
-It's kind of like, stop them from trying... -No...
...because they're like "Maybe she's aggressive"?
I think I was just lucky.
I honestly think I was just lucky.
You know?
And I don't-- I can't teach it, because it's just luck.
-Mm-hmm. -And I think that the fashion industry has
a lot of crazy stuff that possibly will be coming out.
-TAMARA: Oh, interesting. -But at the same time,
a lot of the fashion industry is run by women.
And that-- tend to not be on the aggressor side of this.
So maybe it won't be as prevalent as Hollywood,
but I do think that things will start coming out.

For her first official outing of 2018, the bride-to-be stepped out alongside her royal fiancé Prince Harry for a visit to Reprezent 107.3 FM, a youth-led radio station that supports broadcast training for young adults. The American actress set the laid-back tone for their friendly visit wrapped up in a Smythe camel collared midi coat ($795) nipped at the waist and coordinating scarf from London-based brand, Jigsaw.
Her future husband followed suit in a Club Monaco olive topcoat, gray sweater and slacks. With all of her public appearances scheduled in the winter months, Markle has expertly sported an array of outerwear, including the white Line the Label wrap coat she wore for her and Harrys first photo op after confirming their engagement, the Sentaler tan coat she picked for Christmas day with the royal family and the navy Mackage double-breasted military coat she wore for her first official visit. As for the Smythe topper this time around, Meghans Mirror editor Christine Ross told E! News, It was nice to see a touch of her Canadian home in the look.
Meghan actually owns this coat in two colors. She wore the same style in Salt and Pepper in 2016. It is clear that Meghan loves the Smythe brand, and I expect she will continue to wear their styles in the future. .

Her sweater was the best surprise of the day, Ross told E! News.
It comes from the U.K.s high street shop Marks & Spencer, which is probably the equivalent of a Lord & Taylor or Dillards in the United States.
It is very accessible, and theres an M&S in almost every city and town in the U.K. It definitely brought a down-to-earth vibe to Meghans look.
Any woman, pretty much anywhere in the country, could snag her jumper at a reasonable price. For her hair and makeup, the TV star kept her beauty look fuss-free with a messy bun and radiant rosy makeup. As has become routine for the star, she sported a mix of brands from two significant places in her life—Canada and England.
While the coat is from one of her favorite Canadian brands, the top, pants and scarf come from British labels—a mix she previously donned to Queen Elizabeth IIs Christmas luncheon. .

Combining a designer from her former home with one from her new home is a great nod to her past and her future! However, while shes clearly taking notes on the methods of royal dressing, there are some fashion protocols she seems willing to bend. Meghan is already showing us that she is carving her own path as a royal.
She is pushing the royal envelope with her style choices. Royalty almost never wears black, except for somber occasions, so todays look was a surprise for royal watchers.
The no-black rule is followed by every major royal woman around the world. Meghan looked very chic and professional, but I dont imagine we will see much more black after the wedding, Ross noted. .
Judging by the newest look, Markle is also willing to try looks outside of the royal box. Her choice to wear trousers was a pleasant surprise to many as well.
Bootcut black trousers are such a professional, timeless style, especially for more formal events. We almost never see the Duchess of Cambridge wearing them and this really shows that Meghan is not taking style notes from anyone, Ross observed.
Shes doing it her own way, and staying true to herself as her role in the royal family grows..
