Auto news on Youtube Nov 2 2018

(scooty approaching)

(scooty falls)

(running)

(panting)

(running)

(girl screams)

Dude, Why do you want to die young? Take a slightly longer route.

Shall I book an auto for you?

Don't worry. I will not die so soon. You are so chicken-hearted.

Everybody has fear of ghosts

But I can understand. When the ghost is a beautiful girl. it's a different matter.

Bro, if you are so frustrated, then visit that road. I go there only for short-cut.

Whom are you talking to. Do I have any scarcity? My office is exactly in front of girls college.

(sigh) There is lot of eye-pleasure (tongue click sound).

Just eye-pleasure or eye-assault too.

Arre! It's just that sometimes my eyes blink.

Just some winking will not harm the girls.

And look who's talking! Don't you whistle to them.

The sound just comes out of my mouth sometimes; that is not eve-teasing!

Ahaa! Then what is eve-teasing?

When people deliberately brush their bodies against females,

while walking, or make dirty remarks, that is eve-teasing.

Ok, for a moment let's assume that winking and whistling to girls is also eve-teasing,

but definitely there is no problem in just watching them.

Right?

I too see the beauty of women, I am a man too, you know It shall not hurt them, this concern troubles me though

Ohoo! Pious man! Have you never read T-shirt quotes which are written here

Where does your eyes point to, then?

If somebody has wore it knowingly,

then gaze will fall upon to read it.

If the skirt is too small,

then the gaze will go down to see it.

See buddy! everybody has become poet in your company. Reply now.

I don't have any answer,

but as far as eve-teasing is concerned, it happens irrespective of whatever a female wears.

Is attire the only culprit for eve-teasing.

Aren't the females who are wearing traditional saari or salwar get eve-teased too?

You said it right.

The girl who died on that dark road, also died due to eve-teasing.

But she was wearing salwar-kameez that too with "dupatta"

it came in news.

And police closed the case terming it as an accident...buggers

Exactly! Instead of taking any action on eve-teasing, police blamed the girl,

that she didn't know driving.

In fact many people are even saying that girls should not be allowed to drive,

they get killed and kill others too.

But according to her father's statement, she was a good driver

and she had driving license and helmet too.

It came in news.

Definitely, she didn't die in a bike accident, as the bike

was found on the road, but her dead body far into the stream. Hence proved!

Buddy! Aren't you scared

even after listening so much about it.

what if her wandering soul meets you on that deserted dark road?

If I meet her, I will call her on date. (laughs jokingly)

Bro! Sam is right. People have seen her ghost,

that's why nobody goes on that road after sunset. -Well! some people..

even don't go there in daytime.

But I have never seen a ghost;

I am going via that road continuously from last 1 week, that too in night time.

You guys are really chicken-hearted.

Anyway. I am leaving. Bye.

(running)

(panting)

Can I walk with you for some time? (panting)

Some guys are following me.

But there is no-one there.

May be they have returned back.

Can we quickly move on, Please.

Ok..let's move.

You must not walk alone on this dark deserted road.

Why? Just because I am a girl?

You are also using the same road.

I too have equal right to go via this road, as much as you have.

Yeah definitely you have. I meant only about your safety.

Your forehead is bleeding. How did it happen?

I was going on a scooty to my home.

Some guys started following me.

They were making dirty remarks on me.

I got scared and I sped;

the scooty skidded and I got hurt.

I started running leaving the scooty there itself, and then I met you.

Maybe the wound is very deep

You shall take first aid once you reach home.

Or shall I take you to some doctor?

No it's ok. I don't feel any pain.

There is no concern or tension about pain, even after such grim wound.

Maybe she wants to show herself tough

I am sorry, my tone was bit rude.

Actually this route saves me 4 kms

so that I can save on petrol money and time, both.

Also my exams are nearing.

Are you not feeling cold?

Without any sweater in December's cold.

Do one thing, You can take my jacket

Thanks! but you can keep it.

I am not feeling any cold this year.

Has she become iron-woman this year?

that she is not feeling any cold. She is wearing only a thin Kurti

Maybe she forgot to bring her sweater, and now hesitating to take mine.

Anyways! Somehow I forgot to ask your name.

What's big deal in the name.

For today, you can call me "stranger".

So much reluctance about even telling name.

Anyways! (sighs) My name is Kabir, Miss Stranger.

Actually I am afraid to share name, address,

its scary to tell these things There are some bad experiences from past.

Don't worry. I will not ask.

What happened? Why did you stop?

Where did you vanish suddenly.

I was talking to you, and you were untraceable.

I was here all the time.

I don't know why people feel weird about me.

Even my family had stopped giving any attention to me these days.

At least they were not like that before.

Since when all this is happening?

Since 20th Sept.

People have started ignoring me.

After so many weeks

you are the first person who is talking to me normally.

Is she really some ghost?

It's necessary to touch this girl to confirm whether she is a ghost or not

This is a solid hand. 100% real.

Leave my hand, let me go.

First tell me, why were you pretending to be a ghost.

What else shall i do?

Today you have come, tomorrow other guys will come,

and harass me. I have to stop going to coaching class then.

I don't have enough money to take a ride in auto daily and go by the longer router.

And hence you started scaring people.

So you are the ghost of this road. And why you need auto, when you have scooty?

I don't have any scooty; this was also a part of this drama.

It's only a matter of two months till my exams.

Till date nobody have dared to walk with me up to the end of this road,

but you didn't get scared and ran away.

Please keep this secret to yourselves. - Okay fine! I can understand.

I will leave now.

Bye... Take care.

Hey! You have come alive.

Did you meet that lady ghost?

No dear. But yeah..the road is scary.

People should avoid going there. - Then you will also not go via that road. Right?

I will go buddy; it's a short-cut route.

Hey hey hey hey !! Your blushing tells clearly that there

is something red in lentils.

Eehh... but it's black in the idiom. - I know dear!

But here it's the redness of love blush.

Tell us!! whom did you meet?

It's nothing.....ok! I will tell you, but then promise me that you

will keep it a secret. This is for her safety too.

Dark night, deserted road,

a stranger girl

Seeing this kabir's heart pounding, and passions rising!

Shameless butts!. Meet you tomorrow. Bye.

You are very stubborn.

You came back on my way.

Would you come daily on this road? Same time?

Destinations may have reservations, but who owns the paths.

The issue of co-travel is just for moments, who cares for long term pacts.

Impressive! You have poetic inclinations.

The journey becomes delight, when one has a travel mate like you.

But then promise that, you will accompany me daily till my exams.

The fellow is available as long as you want. I am still wondering what's your name, stranger lady.

You are master of words. My name is Oorjaa.

Oorjaa..a pretty name indeed. Now tell me what you do? Which exam are you preparing for?

CLAT PG, it's an entrance exam for law; in feb.

Law! ...Why you want to become a lawyer? Any specific reason?

Yeah..(deep sigh) yes there is

My sis-in-law had put a false domestic violence and dowry case on entire family.

She took their son with her and even doesn't allows my bro to meet him.

She grabbed money, house, everything in the guise of maintenance.

Due to the police case my bro lost his job, and his reputation in the society as well.

I am sorry, but this is misuse of law.

Indeed. Sis-in-law misused the law.

By studying law, I will try to fetch justice for innocents, irrespective of their gender.

I thought that you are a hard-core feminist, but you are...

I am a "humanist".

Everybody should get justice,

without any prejudice, any bias.

Like no molester should get away scot free,

at the same time no innocent should be punished on false charges.

Law, shall not become legal terrorism.

And this will happen only when people will be punished for perjury.

Perjury?

Deliberately lying in court, registering false cases,

for bogus framing, or for exploiting.

Oorjaa, you have impressed me a lot.

I have become your fan.

If I can be of any help for you, it will be my pleasure.

Just be my travel mate like this.

Sure. Let's have a nice tea.

Okay. Let's go.

How's sister-in-law?

Huh!, whom are you talking about? whose sister-in-law?

The same girl,

the ghost of dark road; your girlfriend

Hey! Oorjaa is my good friend.

And remember, don't tell anybody about Oorja.

hhmmm..Orjaa..hmm..

hmmm

hmmm...Oorjaa

Dude, Dont worry, we will not tell anybody

We both are very happy for you.

We shall meet her sometime.

After her exams, in feb, sure.

hmmm. Oorjaa...

Oorjaa! I wanna ask you something...

Yeah ask me

You have not put-on your jacket today? -What?

Huh!? So what? You too haven't put-on

This is what you wanted to ask?!

I meant that...

Is someone, Your...I mean..

Do you with someone..Are you...

Yeah I have a boyfriend.

But don't worry, he meets me only in night

Fine.. It would have been better if you would have told me earlier

He is companion of my nights.

It's a pleasure to talk to him.

But he didn't even hug me till now.

My travel-mate,

partner of my journey

we sing the same tune,

you are my desire, Your arms are velvety and silky'

You are my suppressed and unsaid sigh

Your gaze have made this journey dreamy

My travel-mate, partner of my journey

Here comes the spring in the blazing desert Here comes some music in the barren body

ha ha! Music in the body! Is it a body or a sitar

Ok listen! I want you to come with me to meet my family

And I wanna introduce you to my friends. But!

I am going out of town for a week; after that.

I am worried how will you live without me

How will you go alone on this deserted road? I will not be there.

Don't worry. Like I used to go before.

People are still afraid of the ghost of the dark road.

Aren't you late today?

This time, I will surprise Oorjaa from behind;

otherwise she always comes from behind

So today you will scare the ghost?

Not a ghost Rakt, she is more lively than you.

I will give her a pleasant surprise.

Kabir...

I have stopped whistling to girls.

And I have given up winking.

Kabir! (running and panting)

Kabir those guys are following me.

This road is mine too.

But there is nobody there... Why all this drama again?

You are not believing me.

Oorjaa, listen to me.

Stop ..Oorjaa...Oorjaa...OORJAA

OORJAA..OORJAA ..... OORJAA

(Doorbell rings)

What happened? You came back?

Oorjaa disappeared; right in front of my eyes.

What? - Are you kidding?

According to the latest breaking news, a dead body of a young woman, aged 22

who is wearing a jeans-top have been found,

n the dry stream near Rajendra-Marg.

The investigation team at the site of incidence, have estimated the time of death

of this young girl to be 8.30 pm

By examining the belongings of the girl, it seems that she was a law student.

It's difficult to speculate now, whether this was an accident, murder or suicide.

Coincidentally, 3 months before, on 20th Sept. night, a dead body of a young girl was found at the same spot.

This is to be noticed that this road is dark and though there are some street lights, but they don't work.

At this place, the road passes over the dry stream, becoming a small bridge.

It's easy for anybody, to fall off the bridge, by slipping here.

You can see the picture of the deceased girl on the screen, which was found by Police, in her own purse.

If you know anything about her, please inform us on this number

100-88-180-22

Our correspondent reported just now, that this girl used to return from

coaching class to home, by this road, daily

It's also found that today the coaching class was cancelled and so all the students left early at 8 pm only.

It's also being said that some rowdy boys use to

eve-tease the girls coming out of tuition class on their way, regularly.

The girl who died 3 months before, was also running away from the eve-teasers.

It's said that she would have slipped from here and fallen in this dry stream

and due to this, her head would have banged against a stone and she died.

Although the government and police have denied completely about any eve-teasing angle in that incident

but the locals here, know it very well that eve-teasing is very regular in this area.

Especially those areas which don't have street lights, are worse.

This is definitely

my Oorjaa.

I am responsible for her death.

If I would not have left her on her own, that day

she would be alive today.

No my friend!

Forgive me. I am responsible.

2 days before

I was taking tea at that bakery

there...

they were talking about the ghost of this dark road

Listening to that, I got little excited and I said that there is no ghost there

its my friend and his girlfriend who walk on that road, daily.

There were some guys at that time

they might have heard this

I realized my mistake, but till then, I had already said.

I didn't imagine ever, that it will turn out to be so bad for Oorjaa.

I shall not be forgiven.

Rakt!

Oorjaa wanted that

roads shall be available to the girls too, to everyone.

She was trying to tell me the same, even after dying.

I will definitely fulfill her wish.

I am with you Kabir

Free Beats Instrumental Dark Trap Type Beat [No Tags] - Perfect Dark (Produced by Kontact) - Duration: 4:34.

What's up guys this is Kontact. This beat that you're about to hear is a Travis Scott type beat.

It's a very dark, cinematic, futuristic, like sci-fi type of beat.

And the inspiration came from one of my favorite video game soundtracks of all time.

From a game called "Perfect Dark".The music in that game was like so well put together. It was.

The melodies were catchy, it had cool beats. Every song fit with

like the environment that you were in. I pretty much like every single song on

that soundtrack. And so I thought to myself, if they were to make that game

again today, with the same talented team. And they would have asked me to make a

record for that soundtrack. This is the beat that I would have done and I'm

really proud of it. I hope you guys enjoy it too. Let me know what you guys think

of the beat. Let me know your favorite parts and what type of beat you want to

see me do next. Also listen to the end of the beat because I always add new

melodies and I'll throw in different instruments. Let's fire up that beat.

Days Before Midterms, Leading Dem's Dark Closet Of Skeletons Bursts Wide Open - Duration: 21:11.

The gubernatorial race in Florida has been a controversial, heated one that as usual

finds the Democrats rolling around in the muck and then having their closeted skeletons

being revealed just before an election.

The midterms this year are no exception to this leftist spectacle.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum is facing claims of the misuse of office

funds and corruption, as well as his ties to shady leftist groups and George Soros.

First, from Breitbart:

The ties between the Israel boycott-promoting and anti-police Dream Defenders organization

and Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum run deeper than previously reported.

A Breitbart News investigation published today documented that until last year, Gillum worked

at the George Soros-financed People for the American Way, where he served as Director

of Youth Leadership Programs from 2005 until January 13, 2017, and oversaw a radical training

outfit calling itself Young People For, or YP4.

Philip Agnew, the co-founder of Dream Defenders, is a 2005 graduate of Gillum's former YP4

group, it has emerged.

Also, at a January 17, 2014, YP4 summit, Gillum's YP4 gave Agnew the Norman Lear Award, named

after the producer and activist who founded People for the American Way.

Gillum has faced controversy over his refusal to disavow Dream Defenders, which has engaged

in activism to promote the boycott of Israel, and espouses anti-patriotic, anti-capitalism,

anti-military, and anti-police ideology and with which Gillum has already been associated.

Dream Defenders' website refers to the entire state of Israel as the "site of a continued

settler colonial project," and laments U.S. military aid to the Jewish state.

A large section of the site promotes the group's anti-Israel activism.

Breitbart News reported two weeks ago that Gillum's Dream Defenders allies compiled

an education tool for U.S. teachers about "liberation" movements and that glorifies

the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a deadly terrorist organization.

Republican challenger Ron DeSantis has repeatedly called for Gillum to distance himself from

Dream Defenders.

During a debate nine days ago, Gillum claimed that he had "no idea" what DeSantis was

referring to when he brought up a Dream Defenders pledge Gillum reportedly signed that supports

a "radical manifesto."

"The fact is, Andrew signed a pledge with the Dream Defenders pledging his support,

this radical manifesto," DeSantis said at the televised debate.

"I have no idea what pledge he is talking about," Gillum replied.

Gillum's claim of ignorance about the pledge came despite his already known close relationship

with Dream Defenders.

Gillum has talked about aiding the group's activism and has written in strong support

of Dream Defenders and its co-founder, Agnew.

In turn, Agnew himself recently described a long and close working and personal relationship

with Gillum and said he considers Gillum to be "part of the movement."

Gillum was taped at a June debate saying that he is "pleased and proud" to have sneaked

food to Dream Defenders activists during a 30-day sleep-in protest at the Florida State

Capital, referring to a 2013 month-long anti-gun protest in the wake of the Trayvon Martin

shooting.

"I hope you keep at it," Gillum said of Dream Defenders activists during a June event.

Now revelations about Gillum's former YP4 training outfit bring his association with

Dream Defenders even closer.

Not only is Agnew listed as an alum, Gillum himself penned a glowing 2014 profile at the

far-left Alternet publication boasting about how Agnew graduated the 2005 inaugural class

of Gillum's YP4.

"We need more Phillip Agnews," was the title of the piece.

Gillum wrote:

Focused from the start on collaboration between progressive young people, Agnew's YP4 fellowship

project was organizing a statewide, student-led coalition to lower tuition rates and increase

Pell Grant funding in higher education.

He worked with other young leaders across Florida to host a training preparing students

to lead the advocacy for accessible higher education.

Through the YP4 fellowship, he was introduced to critical social issues and learned how

to conduct effective community organizing around these issues, including how to champion

their message in the media.

Agnew became an organizer with the Student Coalition for Justice, a cadre of students

from Florida A&M University, Florida State University, and Tallahassee Community College

angered by the death of 14-year-old Martin Lee Anderson at a Florida youth detention

center.

We must learn from the successes of young leaders like the Dream Defenders and recruit,

train, and connect thousands more local organizers and activists, particularly in underrepresented

communities and regions of the country.

Breitbart News reported that Dream Defenders organized a flash mob in Israel to officially

endorse the BDS movement against the Jewish state.

In June 2018, Gillum signed a Dream Defenders pledge containing specific language stating,

"I pledge my support to the Freedom Papers."

The organization's "Freedom Papers," in turn, exclaim that "police and prisons

have no place in 'justice.'"

The Dream Defenders "Freedom Papers" also advocate textbook socialist principals such

as claiming that "by virtue of being born each of us has the absolute right to adequate

food, shelter, clothing, water, healthcare, effective public transportation, dignified

work, living wages."

As Breitbart News reported, a simple perusal of the website of Dream Defenders, the organization

so feverishly championed by Gillum, evidences the group's open radicalism.

The organization calls for an "end" to "disaster capitalism," rants against Independence

Day and spreads anti-Israel charges.

Much of that extremist rhetoric mirrors the phraseology posted on the official "issues"

sections of the YP4 website while Gillum not only served as its active director but while

his picture, position, and bio were brandished on the same site on the "staff" page.

The YP4 organization said its mission was to challenge U.S. "predatory capitalism,"

abolish the prison system, fight a "spiritual resistance" battle against "Christian

hegemony," redefine the meaning of "borders" while aiding "undocumented" aliens, and

enact the "collective liberation" of "communities of color" amid what it described as the

scourge of "white supremacy."

Gillum's group accused the U.S. of being a "colonialist" power perpetrating "structural

violence" and "continued genocide."

It claimed conservatives in the U.S. judicial system were "justifying white supremacist

policing practices."

Even while he was a Tallahassee city commissioner and later the city's mayor, Gillum was heavily

involved in the controversial YP4 youth leadership program as youth director, announcing multiple

hires and headlining fundraising and group events.

In his position of youth leadership director at PFAW, Gillum was in charge of both YP4,

the organization's youth training program, and the organization's Young Elected Officials

(YEO) Network, which he founded and which describes itself as "the first national

program singularly-focused on providing a network of support to young progressive state

and local elected officials."

At a PFAW dinner in 2011, Gillum said that even though he served as vice-mayor of Tallahassee

at the time, his "best job" was actually his position as the organization's youth

director, where, he explained, he led YP4.

He said his job there was to counter "the radical right," singling out Ann Coulter

and Karl Rove as individuals who needed to be opposed.

A review of an archived version of YP4's website from December 2016, while Gillum was

still overseeing the group and while he was listed on the "staff" page, finds a site

bursting with extremist rhetoric.

Much of the same language still exists on the current version of the group's website.

The "Economic Justice" section of Gillum's group's website demanded that activists

challenge what it described as U.S. "predatory capitalism" and instead work toward socialist-style

economic ideals.

That section, which is part of the mission of YP4, stated:

We know that voracious predatory capitalism is a threat to the safety, well-being, and

survival of our communities and our planet.

As wages stagnate and intergenerational wealth is concentrated in the hands of the few, pathways

to opportunity are becoming less and less accessible to the rest of us.

At YP4, we are uniquely aware of the importance of challenging our system of predatory capitalism

and working towards a set of institutional arrangements which allow us all to access

the necessities of life — from housing, food, sustenance, and healthcare.

In that spirit, we are committed to supporting the work of organized labor, cooperative economists,

and those organizing against politics of austerity, both in the US and abroad.

We believe in leveraging the power of our network to support Fellows engaged in this

work — from those doing worker organizing to those providing direct services to under-resourced

communities and researching tax justice issues.

One "issues" section of the website accuses the U.S. government of being a colonialist

power which must be held to account for perpetrating "structural violence" and "continued

genocide."

Gillum's YP4 said it "operates daily with the understanding that the lands upon which

our movements organize–– and upon which our own offices are situated –– have been

ripped from the hands of their historical inhabitants through the sustained, continued

genocide of Native and indigenous peoples."

"By stripping Native Tribes of their sovereignty, divesting resources from indigenous communities,

and consigning Native peoples to the dustbins of history, the U.S. government and agents

of imperialism continue to perpetuate the structural violence which began hundreds of

years ago," continued the site.

"YP4 believes strongly that we as an organization have an obligation to name our complicity

in colonialism, support Native activists in their necessary work, and hold communities

of colonizers accountable to our actions."

The organization implies illegal activism is acceptable: "As freedom fighters committed

to lasting, meaningful change, we know that, while legal change cannot be the sole path

to liberation, it is certainly a tool for agents of social justice seeking to reduce

the harm of repressive legislation and winning long-withheld constitutional rights."

The "Racial Justice" section of Gillum's website called for no less than the "the

liberation of communities of color in this country and around the world," and deployed

socialist rhetoric demanding "collective liberation" amid the "obligation to state

clearly that white supremacy kills."

Gillum's group exclaimed on its website that "white supremacy" manifests in "colonialism,

imperialism, slavery, and voracious predatory capitalism."

Gillum's group called on activists to emulate the work of Dream Defenders, which, it said,

fights "a prison industrial complex that disproportionately affects people of color."

The "Community Safety, Police Brutality, and Prison Abolition" section calls for

what the title implies — an end to the U.S. prison system.

Gillum's group said it was working toward "ending the carceral State and challenging

the presupposition that our communities are made safer when our fellow human beings are

locked in cages."

YP4 rhetoric warned of "police forces procur[ing] increasingly militarized arsenals, and prosecutors

shield[ing] police officers who've murdered members of the neighborhoods they purport

to serve."

The "Spiritual Resistance" mission section calls for the "birthing" of a "movement

for transformative justice" working to "push back against Christian hegemony which alienates

and belittles other spiritual traditions."

The "Immigration" page says the Gillum's group believes global events should cause

"critical conversations around the ways our movements conceptualize and articulate

issues of empire, national identity, and the construct of borders."

In the U.S., Gillum's group said it works to "support young undocumented people, efforts

to expand and protect immigrants' access to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

(DACA) and Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA), as well as campaigns to halt the deportations

of undocumented peoples and families."

The "Legal and Judicial Activism" mission page accuses "conservative legal opposition"

in the U.S. of "suppressing the vote, expanding the role of money in politics, reinforcing

patriarchal and heteronormative policies" and "justifying white supremacist policing

practices."

The "education" section of the YP4 website advocated "alternatives to formal education"

with the "raising" of "political consciousness throughout liberation movements."

Gillum could not stay at PFAW since the organization cannot legally be involved in partisan politics.

But when he departed PFAW he didn't go very far.

He instead joinedP&P Communications, a leadership consulting firm in Tallahassee founded by

Sharon Lettman-Hicks, who served as Executive Vice President at the PFAW Foundation and

reportedly recruited Gillum in 2002 to the PFAW.

"We recruited him because of his advocacy and tenacity as a student leader," she said.

PFAW has been aiding Gillum's mayoral campaign, and described how it helped him win the Democratic

primary earlier this year:

Gillum is endorsed by PFAW's Next Up Victory Fund, a program that helps young progressives

win state and local elections.

In the closing weeks of the primary, PFAW sent on-the-ground organizers to Florida to

push people to the polls in support of Gillum.

The group also launched a series of social media advertisements promoting his campaign.

Gillum, Lettman-Hicks and Dream Defenders' Agnew each are graduates of an Oakland, California-based

training school for progressive revolutionaries that has spawned a list of activists who have

gone on to become the who's who of the far-left leadership world, with many taking senior

positions at organizations financed by Soros.

In scores of cases, graduates of the Rockwood Leadership Institute founded or directed notorious

Soros-financed activist groups, such as Black Lives Matter, Media Matters for America, MoveOn.org

and the Tides Foundation, one of the nation's largest funders of progressive groups.

Soros's own Open Society Foundations sent top staff to Rockwood for training.

Notorious radicals Van Jones and Linda Sarsour are among the many famous names listed as

alums.

Then from Politico:

TALLAHASSEE — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum was visiting potential campaign

donors to talk about his run for governor when he used an official Tallahassee mayor's

office expense account to pay for a private flight that ferried him there, according to

documents released Monday.

Gillum paid for the Feb. 12, 2016, round-trip flight from Tallahassee to St. Pete-Clearwater

International Airport with an official mayor's office expense account, the Tallahassee Democrat

reported last year.

The newspaper quoted Gillum's mayoral office spokesman Jamie Van Pelt saying Gillum took

the trip on official city business of talking with Tampa affordable-housing developer Peter

Leach about wraparound social services in schools and housing developments.

Gillum also found time to meet with high-profile Democrats like Alex Sink and now-Rep. Charlie

Crist (D-Fla.), Van Pelt had said.

However, the newly released records provided by the lawyer of former Gillum ally Adam Corey

under a subpoena issued as part of an investigation by the Florida Commission on Ethics indicate

the flight was expressly for Gillum to meet with potential donors to his gubernatorial

campaign.

Gillum's 2014 mayoral campaign finance reports show he had moved $10,000 to his official

mayoral office account about the time he won the local office in 2014.

State law restricts use of the account to only official city business.

Monday's release of records was the third time Tallahassee lawyer Chris Kise provided

the public with a glimpse into Corey's consultant relationship with Gillum amid a highly publicized

FBI corruption investigation of Tallahassee City Hall.

The documents do not implicate Gillum as part of the federal probe, and they were released

as part of an investigation into a potential violation of state ethics laws.

Records that Kise released last week indicate Gillum accepted tickets to a Broadway show

that were furnished by an undercover FBI agent.

Gillum campaign spokesman Geoff Burgan has repeatedly called the documents a campaign

stunt by GOP gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis.

"Once again, Chris Kise, one of Rick Scott's most high profile political hatchet men, is

trying to confuse and distract voters with information that has long been public,"

Burgan wrote in a statement he provided on Monday.

"Since Kise has so much to say these days, Florida voters deserve to know whether he's

coordinating with the DeSantis campaign, who's gotten $60,000 from Kise's law firm."

Kise was a member of Republican Gov. Rick Scott's transition team after he was elected

in 2010.

In response to Burgan, Kise pointed to several contributions he made to Republican Adam Putnam,

who lost to DeSantis in the August primary for the party's nomination.

In response to Burgan, Kise said Gillum is only attacking him because Gillum's attacks

of Corey failed.

"The documents establish Andrew Gillum, not Mr. Corey, has serious criminal and ethical

exposure," Kise wrote in an emailed statement.

"This criminal and ethical exposure explains why Andrew Gillum will not address personally

any of the details, as his lawyers have likely counseled him on waiver of his Fifth Amendment

rights."

The Real Clear Politics average of polls of the race show Gillum is ahead of DeSantis

by 3.2 points.

Burgan told POLITICO that Van Pelt's comments to the newspaper last year about the trip

being official business are still accurate.

The records released Monday show Gillum was to be introduced to potential supporters at

a lunch by high-profile Democrat and former state Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink.

Corey, one of Gillum's closest allies, planned the event with affordable housing developer

Peter Leach, who is vice president of Southport Financial Services.

Emails included in the records show Leach offered Corey and Gillum the use of Southport's

plane to travel to the lunch.

"Do you want the plane to bring you guys down and back?"

Leach wrote to Corey.

Corey replied, "Yes please."

The documents included a briefing that called the event a "Meet and Greet with Tampa Donors."

Emails also show that Corey and Leach finalized the plans to accommodate Gillum's wishes.

"Adam, can you give me a sense of the time of day we'd be targeting on Friday, February

12th?"

Gillum wrote to Corey a month before the event.

"I would like to make this work but need to know a little more about Peter's availability.

"Does lunch on that day work?"

Gillum added.

The emails also show Leach had taken steps to follow political campaign law.

He asked Corey if the cost of the flight should match a commercial flight from Tallahassee

to Tampa International Airport, which is a statutory requirement.

"Adam, can I assume we'll need and (sic) invoice for this trip to the Gillum campaign

for the prevailing RT ticket cost TLH to Tampa International?"

Leach wrote.

The campaign reimbursed Leach for $400, which was deemed to be the cost of a commercial

flight on the route.

Monday's records release was the third time in a week Corey's lawyer had shared with

reporters the records he had submitted to the state ethics commission.

Records released on Oct. 26 showed an undercover FBI agent known as Mike Miller may have helped

pay for an April 11, 2016, fundraiser for Gillum's political committee, Forward Florida.

The first round of documents, released Oct. 24, showed that Gillum received a ticket to

the musical "Hamilton" from Miller during an August 2016 trip to New York.

Text messages show that Miller had the original tickets.

But Gillum's campaign has maintained that the tickets were first given to his brother,

who later gave them to him.

Inverted Power Chords, fat & dark - Guitar-Nerdery #023 - Duration: 6:24.

Hello and welcome to my new Guitar-Nerdery video! In my last videos I explained the

drop D tuning and a drop B tuning and the reason why we choose down tunings is

most of the time we want the guitar to sound fatter and today I'm gonna show

you a way to let the guitar sound fat even in standard e-tuning with

inverted power chords!

What is the definition of a power chord? You need a root note and the perfect

fifth and that's all. I guess the most famous guitar chord for a power chord is

this shape ...for example a c-power chord.

A G power chord, or an F power chord

With this shape your lowest chord possible on the standard e-tuning guitar

is the E power chord.

And if you wanna play lower you need a down tuning, but wait a moment! What you

can do is put the fifth underneath the root C power-chord

and now with the fifth on the bottom.

This is why it's called an inverted power chord. You just turn it upside down

and the power ch ord with the fifth on the bottom sounds somewhat brutal darker

than the regular power chord.

Let's compare a regular E power chord with an inverted B power chord.

For me the B power chord, the inverted power chord, sounds darker than the

regular E power chord, even if the notes aren't lower. This is very useful! That

makes our standard e-tuning E power chord not the lowest sounding power

chord. We can even go lower with an inverted D power chord for example.

Or an inverted C power chord or B-flat power chord. The last in line

would be

...an inverted A power chord with open strings, but it tends to mud up.

the fretted chords sound better.

And if necessary you can even make them inverted power chords sound fatter by

adding a fifth for example. This is an inverted C power chord.

The G on bottom is the perfect fifth and I add another one on top.

so

And if you want to fatten that up, just add another root!

It's cool and fat!

I hope you can make any use of it and if you liked the video,

please like and subscribe and see you next week!

The Dark Side of Neverland - Duration: 4:43.

When you think of Neverland, you probably think of adventure and fantasy and infinite play

But there is a dark,

irredeemable side of Neverland that we rarely confront.

Wendy and her brothers leave their comfortable and familiar home in London for the adventures that await

with Peter Pan and the lost boys in Neverland.

Neverland is timeless and

this quality is part of its appeal.

Peter Pan has no memory and without time or memory, imagination becomes his identity

Wendy though is the one to be admired.

She wanders with a purpose and finds an important balance between the spontaneous play of Neverland and

the controlled play of London.

You see there is an important difference between the kind of play that

Neverland perpetuates and the kind of play possible when you visit Neverland in your imagination.

The contemporary writer, Seth Godin, defines the difference:

"There's a huge difference between being childlike and being childish.

When we embrace joy and look at the world with fresh eyes we're being childlike.

When we demand instant gratification, and guarantee that everything will be okay, we're only being childish.

The tendency is to think that Wendy and her brothers returned to London and fall back into the social order,

pursuing a life sucking job just like their father.

This is the modern-day equivalent of pursuing money and status while emphasizing efficiency over creativity.

I believe traveling to Neverland left Wendy and her brothers forever changed.

Through the timelessness of Neverland, they learned the greatest lesson of all -

Time is a gift and it's up to you to redeem it.

Redeeming the time requires childlike wonder and curiosity and a willingness to wander.

This is the posture of the gamer.

In a collection of essays called Play/Write

Stephen Holmes invokes Byron Hawke invoking Martin Heidegger

invoking

Aristotle all to explain how Aristotle supports a vitalist combination of

describing techne as both art and

intuition.

He writes

"techne is both a rational, conscious capacity to produce and

an intuitive,

unconscious ability to make.

In other words, the impulse to produce and make is part of who we are.

This is most fully actualized in the space of the game.

In "Procedurality as Play," Grace Hagood describes the environment in which this impulse thrives.

You need both paidia and ludus. The Greek concept of paidia -

which is the idea of spontaneous play and ludus - which is the notion of controlled play.

This is often achieved in sandbox type settings like Neverland,

"Where the character can act freely without consequences precisely because the end is predetermined."

She continues,

"While the game is designed to be mercilessly bounded by its simple rules,

offering typically ludic restrictions,

it is those same constraints that allow the paidiac play of character development.

And this is precisely why Wendy is the heroine and Peter Pan is the dark tragic figure.

In choosing to never grow up, Peter Pan squanders the gift of time,

forfeits his memory, has no ability to love, and will forever remain a wanderer with no purpose.

Peter Pan is a timeless story because the tension between the kind of childish play that Neverland represents and

the kind of childlike play you can find in games

continues to pulse in our contemporary moment.

The Truth About My Depression...(the dark truth) - Duration: 10:41.

alright then yo so boys and girls welcome back to a brand new video I

think I just got possessed for about a second I don't know what the hell that

was so today oh my god what the hell was that

today we're joined by a special guest... now who is the special guest is it your

mom your dad I mean no it's not it's Paul...haha, frick..so Paul is the

special guest in today's video he's beautiful he's gorgeous admittedly I

didn't know who he was until about 10 minutes ago but he's featuring in this

video Paul stop being shy come on come on camera please because everybody's

gonna think you're a kid and I've just called you gorgeous and I'm having

called the kid gorgeous, it's not a kid I promise Paul is here is Paul the pumkin

I mean I block it out of his fucking face but he looks he's better-looking

than me in here let's be fucking honest so he's Halloween and punching the sheet

our Paul and I'm putting pumpkin all over my monitor great I've just keeps

the pumpkin why why ever done that but a thousand lights and I will chop Paul

against that wall oh my god that rhyme Jesus Christ Bob he may slash through

the wall into the next-door neighbor's house Oh a thousand likes and I almost

kill my neighbors like I don't know put in today's video boys and girls you

gonna like see a different side to me that you normally don't see that's kind

of like a fucking rap or some shit but yeah I'm opening up a lot more in this

video and I hope you enjoy this side of me I really do you know what these

videos will be more intensive to turn my big light off one moment right okay that

was hopefully really cool on the video you'd probably look terrible been in it

alright so I took two instruments napture and asked you boys and girls to

ask me oh my god I'm already confused some really deep questions and you boys

and girls produced some had hitters why am I talking like this so yeah I'm not

gonna hold back in this video I'm just gonna answer their questions you all

want to know what I say you all there's about three people who asked a question

anyway so one thing I'm actually gonna do in this video I know I say that I'm

gonna do it but I never do is like stop making jokes at the end of every

sentence I like I struggle so hard to do it because it's cringy that I just wanna

make you laugh do you mean that all my god I hate myself so good yeah I just

want to make you all laugh though and in this video I'm gonna hold back from

making snide little fucking dirty comments and that were weird but yeah me

like then for example I was just being idiot and I'm just gonna

back in this video and just know not hold but I'm gonna be opening up in this

Obama talking about so the first question comes from a links underscore X

on Instagram I'll put the point on screen do you wear contacts eyes I guess

that's a comp I didn't at least that a comma but I think it is and if it is I

thank you so much for that if it's not a compliment

thanks again I guess but no seriously I am I don't wear contacts no and I don't

wear glasses either I mean you clearly tell I don't wear glasses but I don't

put contacts in I'm scared of contacts yes an 18 year old scared of icons are

my I need to grow up next question is do you believe in second chances

alright so very good question to be fair and I do believe in second chances alike

because everybody fucks up like everybody makes mistakes and I don't

know maybe I'll get hate for this like saying or you shouldn't forgive this

person for this or this person for that job or I do honestly believe like we all

make mistakes and presume everybody watching this video

deep down you may have made a mistake I don't like Fergie judgy but have you

made a mistake and you'd help people who'd give you a second chance I don't

know I just think each life we all fuck up we are here to make mistakes and just

live and learn I don't know did that come across right but yeah live and

learn we all make mistakes and hopefully I answered that really well I mean I

probably didn't but yeah hopefully I did so a meteor is asked what's the meaning

of life now what a great question first I mean I've said that for all the

questions but genuinely these are all really good questions the meaning of

life oh my god I've just traveled professional I think it's just being

happy like doing what makes you happy and to be perfectly honest like what

I've started to believe in recently is like sound weird but speaking positive

energy to myself I know this is kind of going off-topic but like if you speak

positive energy yourself oh my god that even make sense

if you speak policy positive energy to yourself and just like tell you so if

you're gonna be successful you're gonna make it I think it does pay off like

hopefully it will time will tell because I've recently been like believing in

myself for a change because I never really believed in myself I honestly I'm

gonna try to make you feel sort of me but now I'm trying to believe in myself

and I'm trying to think we can do this jet I mean ice cream jeez I know the

short answer to what's the meaning of life is just being happy whatever that

means for you so Pearson boxer 2 is asked what would

you do if all your family left here I'll for cryin out loud

I mean what will that voice crack so let's say like this house is already

paid off or it's not already paid off a brief it was and like my whole family

left you know I do is I probably asked

kalamaki Lewis book if they want to move in with us

with me sorry not to be like disrespect to my mom or anything but because

otherwise I'd just been literally so lonely like if all my family had gone

Giuliani and I'll be so lonely and I mean I don't really have many

friends as it is to be perfectly color McCleary sound not even change shit but

yeah I've got to get them to move in with me and we just create content and

be as successful as possible and then I'd tell my mom and dad and just be like

I'd go to their graves or when the dead so the next question is by the makeup by

Beth or Instagram and have I ever had my heart broken oh gosh I hope I'm okay I

bought my last - well deed right okay I'm gonna tell you a little story about

the girl I was last kind of with so yeah I don't want to say this in an arrogant

way but there was a girl who was like messaging me but I I was just so focused

on YouTube so I didn't really correspond back to her he's correspond the right

word I don't know what I'm talking about but yeah I didn't really speak to a much

I didn't really apply too much I'm gonna ignoring her I just didn't really go on

the messages as such because I was just so focused on YouTube anyway one night

we got talking and from there we'd like met up and we like stats each of a sort

of thing and then on like the third time of seeing when I went to hers she was

getting all done up getting all ready and everything like that and I didn't

really think much of it because she literally just said she was offered a

meal with a family and I was like okay and that's pretty nice it's pretty late

to go for a meal but whatever anyway it turns out and Ladd she was also speaking

to it was coming to pick her up so she sent me home early and then he Kayla

picked her up and the when and just did whatever which fucking made me feel

great but yeah at this point I TV really like hers we met up and stuff and I

gently started fanciness so much more cuz like when you like someone you fancy

them even more than you did at the stack does that make sense hopefully it does

but yeah literally I'd fancied like the balls off that I

mean she didn't have balls and it let me just finish his story so pretty much I

forgive her because I like like - so much

turns out she then went and slept with one of her exes which yeah whatever man

like so shit but I'm over it now don't get me wrong but at the time I was so

hurt because lay before her I also got cheated on I mean this is a fucking

common occurrence clearly bought I got cheated on before her and I don't know

II just I put so much trust in her and she just she destroyed that trust so to

speak and it fucking hurts so much anyway let's move on to the next

question so Maria winter

three to seven I'll quit the answer this one she asked am I scared of getting

into a relationship in this generation to be perfectly honest as I said before

I'm just worried about being cheated and again like falling in love oh my god

what the hell is it screams fall in love with someone and then getting my heart

broken Jeremie light hurts right so the next

question or topic so to speak just cook fan one two three that page amazing it's

not run by me I promise sake friends Wow okay let's

talk about this fucking topic then I mean why that's rare so we all know who

fake friend dies the people who are friends who are fake I mean I cannot

describe anything yeah we all know who fake friends out or I hope we do anyway

because I have no idea how to describe it it's just it's just those people who

pretty much use you sort of thing when the know you like doing well and then

they think they can gain from you but when they think they have nothing to

gain from you that don't really give a shit about you but like one day we will

be successful I fully like I want to speak pussy but it's myself I don't

wanna say that in an arrogant way but I really do believe he knows and I've just

nearly burnt my chair poor high school there's a guy you found the old channel

and I was like please don't tell anybody about it please like literally just

please don't anyway he went behind my back and I told absolutely everyone

taking the piss like I put it on Twitter the other day actually and then suddenly

to my face he was like oh no he's cool I really want to start YouTube like being

deadly serious tonight son sarcastic but he genuinely wanted to start YouTube

anyway he did start YouTube and and recently around a week ago actually he

did actually ask me for a shout-out you know what I'm just gonna say it

literally straight up fuck you that felt so good

holy shit that felt amazing Declan James for he on snapchat asked how much of an

impact did losing your last channel have on your mental health holy Sh

what a fucking question what a question it fucked me up May I'm gonna be honest

it fucked me up big-time after losing the old channel I found something called

cryptocurrency and I'm just you know what I'm gonna say

if I didn't find cryptocurrency and was like distracting my mind with

cryptocurrency I don't want to say I don't think I'd be here I don't like

saying that I don't like saying that I genuinely don't think I'd be here to be

honest I that was my everything I turned down going to Australia with my

family I turn now going to America with my family just the folks on YouTube I

know he sounds fuckin Stu people that's how much I just wanted to

I want you know it was what I thought in the mind at the time like turning down

the holidays and stuff is I want to be successful and then I'll treat myself to

these sort of trips away and stuff but if it wasn't recruiter currency like I

said I hate saying it I hate saying it but I don't think I would be here mate

to be honest and to be honest I don't know about that answer don't know if I

want to leave the answer in because if I finally see this he's like fuck you no

I'm saying oh I don't know maybe but yeah very good question dude dude am i

American so the question is when do I think I will stop doing YouTube videos

right now in my head I could never see myself stopping I mean I will stop one

day having bored right now I can't see myself anytime soon at all why I'm so

motivated I honestly we are going all out myself lose bokkun kalamaki we are

moving into a one of those youtuber house so to speak all my money is going

into it and that's how much I want this so yeah I don't know hopefully that kind

of answers the question I know a boys and girls that is gonna be it for this

video hopefully you did enjoy the side to myself I mean imagine this being my

normal side like this side of my face I ain't what the fuck shut up Josh anyway

if you and ooh it'd mean the world to me if you could subscribe and turn on

upload notifications for all videos like literally if you do that I'll kiss the

camera now I don't think anybody want that but yeah do please subscribe but

you're on the road to 10,000 subscribe oh my god it just makes me so happy

we're so close also if you have any more questions comment them down below and I

will answer them in a pan too if this video gets like 555 likes we'll say a

pat two will happen also a thousand but oh Jesus also a thousand likes and I'll

smash the pumpkin against the wall I mean my mum will literally kill me for

doing that but anyway thank you so much watching this video we'll have an

amazing day I will hopefully speak to you all next time until then oops

Is The Dark Knight Liberal Or Conservative? - Duration: 4:35.

is the film The Dark Knight liberal or conservative? Why does that matter? Well

what would it say about you if we found out you and the Joker had the same exact

ideology? The Dark Knight is widely considered the best superhero film of

all time. Now ten years old, the film also joins the ranks as one of the best

sequels of all time. Now I love Batman Begins, but come on, this one's got the

Joker in it. It single-handedly changed the Academy Awards, it was the first

superhero film to make over a billion dollars at the box office, and is ranked

number four on IMDb's list of top rated movies. Really? Number four? I mean I like

it but geez, number four? Clearly this film was a massive hit with audiences when a

movie makes this much of an impact on our culture, it's got to be said there's

something more to the film than just another Batman adventure of him running

around trying to get rid of a bomb. Instead you save that bomb plot for the

next film in the trilogy. Somedays you just can't get rid of a bomb! There was

an idea that resonated with audiences. In an ideological sense people tend to

think and behave liberally or conservatively, so I want to know how a

film like this actually conveys its ideology. To be clear this is not a

political discussion, this is strictly one about ideas and having some fun so

if you want to talk politics, why so serious? To assess the film's ideology

we're gonna need to focus on three key elements which is content, characters, and

message. Oh and I'm given a spoiler warning to those who haven't seen The

Dark Knight yet but if you came this far in the video and are surprised by this,

you should probably just get off the internet. Content. The Dark Knight is an

epic crime saga about Batman's ethical struggle to stop the Joker from

destroying Gotham City. The film was rated PG-13 for intense sequences of

action violence and some menace. People have argued that this phone should have

been rated R because, let's be honest, it does get pretty intense at some points.

But I personally think a 13 year old could handle this. Man up! Director

Christopher Nolan uses classic filmmaking techniques to tell the story

with the one exception be that he used IMAX cameras for some of the action

sequences. Although that is indeed a more liberal idea, this is still old-school

filmmaking at its best. If I'm judging it as a standalone movie and not as a

sequel or a Batman film which indeed would probably put in the category of

being more liberal, I'm gonna say the content is more conservative. Characters.

Picking three central characters to analyze: Bruce Wayne, the Joker, and Harvey

Dent are the most prominent figures in the film. Bruce Wayne leads the film as

he struggles with his limits as a crime fighter

and with the idea that the mere existence of his Batman has led

criminals to adapt more extremes, ie the Joker. He's the traditional hero who's

willing to sacrifice it all in the name of justice, but seriously, what's with

that voice? This city, just showed you, that it's full of people, ready to believe in good.

The Joker steals the entire movie by being a full-blown anarchist who's so

crazy, he doesn't even think he's crazy. His radical philosophy outsmarts Batman at

every turn and he believes that anybody can be as evil as him and he proves it

in Harvey Dent, Gotham's District Attorney who's so desperate to take down

criminals but finds himself being pushed to his limits when the Joker kills the

love of his life. Harvey ultimately becomes the second

villain of the movie two-face, and is the focus of the story's climax. I just want

to know where he found his original suit after the burn accident? I mean look at

that he's got the suit and tie everything. Where in the world did he

find that? Although the Joker is pretty consistent in his philosophy throughout

the whole movie, Harvey Dent and Bruce Wayne definitely

go through some major changes including straying from hardened principles. It's

not about what, I want it's about what's fair! So I'm gonna say with the character

arcs that are seen in the film, it's definitely a little more liberal on this

side. Message. The Dark Knight is a classic story of good versus evil but

it's also about what makes us good and what makes us evil? Needless to say,

Batman films have come a long way since the ethical use of a credit card. Seven

million. Never leave the cave without it. When all

is said and done, good triumphs over evil, and Gotham is safe, but not without some

personal sacrifice from our heroes. All of these ideas seem to be more

traditional themes so I'm gonna say the film's message is more conservative. So

with a final score of 1 to 2, I have to say that Dark Knight is actually a more

conservative film. This is not to undermine the liberal qualities that

definitely propelled this movie to be the mega blockbuster that it is, but come

on the main hero's a rich billionaire.

This is just my opinion so if you disagree let me know in the comments.

Ramaphosa says corruption inquiry shedding light on dark period in South Africa World news - Duration: 4:53.

Ramaphosa says corruption inquiry shedding light on dark period in South Africa World news

President says he will account for his actions as a senior official under Zuma

President says he will account for his actions as a senior official under Zuma

Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa, has said he will appear before a judicial anti-corruption inquiry to account for his actions as a senior official during what he described as a "very dark period of our recent history".

Ramaphosa took power in February, three months after winning a close-run internal party election, but has struggled to overcome the legacy of his predecessor, Jacob Zuma.

Zuma has been accused of presiding over an immense system of corruption and patronage that drained billions from the exchequer and damaged the reputation of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) beyond repair. Ramaphosa served as deputy president under Zuma.

Speaking to a small group of reporters in Johannesburg on Thursday Ramaphosa spoke of a "new dawn" for South Africa and for the ANC, which has been in power since the country's first free elections in 1994.

"There is a new confidence, a new hope in the ANC. The shine that had been tarnished is coming back," the 65-year-old tycoon and veteran politician said.

However Ramaphosa admitted there were concerns about his years serving under Zuma.

"The question has been raised: 'You were there, you were deputy president, and many of these things were happening under your nose. Did you know?'," said Ramaphosa, who has never been accused of any personal wrongdoing. "In time I guess I am going to be required to appear before the [inquiry] to answer certain things … So I will be going to give an account myself of what I knew, what I didn't know and all that."

Hearings of the judicial inquiry into the accusations – set up earlier this year on the orders of the powerful public anti-graft watchdog – have already led to revelations that have deeply embarrassed senior officials, and forced the resignation of the respected finance minister.

On Thursday Ramaphosa sacked Tom Moyane, the head of the tax collection agency and Zuma ally, on the recommendation of the judicial inquiry. In a letter to Moyane, Ramaphosa said the investigation had painted "a deeply concerning picture of the current state of [tax revenue authority] SARS and the reckless mismanagement which characterised your tenure".

Ramaphosa said the judicial inquiry was working in an organised way to "shed light" and "when the moment comes the criminal justice system will kick into action".

A former trade unionist who was one of the leaders of the struggle against apartheid in the 1980s, Ramaphosa spoke to journalists after addressing a business leadership summit and a conference on gender-based violence.

The South African premier, who appeared tired but determined, faces challenges on every front. The economy is weak, expectations are high and his broadly centrist market-orientated policies face strong opposition from within his own party.

Entrenched networks of government and ANC officials loyal to Zuma are still powerful, while international investors, though interested by South Africa's undoubted potential, remain wary.

The economy is in recession. Unemployment – already very high – is rising and inflation is hitting poor people's budgets hard.

Twenty-four years after the end of the racist, repressive apartheid regime, South Africa remains a country with enormous resources and great wealth but also vast inequality.

Much of the focus in recent months has been on the possible redistribution of farmland – largely owned by white people, who constitute less than 10% of the population. Late last year the ANC committed to more effective measures to redistribute land.

This, and a decision to press ahead with a constitutional amendment to allow expropriation without compensation has rattled investors, as well as prompting Donald Trump to tweet an unfounded rightwing claim that white farms were being seized by the government and farmers suffering "large-scale killing".

Ramaphosa said he had sat next to Trump at a lunch on a recent visit to the US but the issue had not been raised. Instead the two leaders had spoken about golf, with Trump quizzing his counterpart on South African golf champions.

"We exchanged pleasantries … He spoke about [his] golf courses, so that is land, I guess," Ramaphosa said.

The ANC faces a difficult election next year, which could see its share of the vote dip below 50% for the first time. The leftwing faction within the party, and the populist opposition Economic Freedom Fighters, have pushed for more radical measures to redistribute resources.

The president said he was confident the party would win an "overwhelming victory" in the polls, though admitted it had lost ground in recent years and that party officials continued to commit "misdemeanours" .

"We went through a real period of decline …because many people felt we had departed from our value system but there is a new mood in the country, much as it is tempered by the economic conditions we are going through. We need to do more," he said.

Though successive ANC governments have made huge efforts to build homes and supply basic services to millions of people, they have been unable to meet expectations. Many people still live without electricity or sanitation. Schooling and healthcare are often rudimentary. One recent survey found eight out of 10 nine-year-olds in South Africa are functionally illiterate. Levels of violent crime are among the highest in the world, with poor South Africans suffering most.

Dan O'Neil's Take on Dark Money Mailers - Duration: 1:17.

You know, you don't have to look at the calendar

to know that there's an election coming up.

Just go to your mailbox.

Every year you see more and more

mailers like this.

And they're always the same, right?

It's the darkened out picture of the candidate

and some scary message about what's going

to happen unless you vote for this

candidate or that candidate.

I mean look at this poor guy!

He looks really sick! He ought to

go to a doctor!

Probably doesn't have any health coverage.

And you know, you never know where

this stuff is coming from.

It's always 'Citizens for This,'

or 'Americans for That.'

Truth is, it's dark money!

And candidates these days don't seem willing

to stand in front of the voters and tell them

what they think.

They hope you'll make important decisions

about the problems we face

based on crazy stuff like this.

And it's not just Republicans.

Democrats do it too.

But there's a difference.

Larry Inman voted to make it easier to spend

dark money in our elections,

and I'll vote to stop it.

So if you're like me, and you're tired of this

kind of politics, and tired of being asked

to make important decisions based on

this kind of stuff,

then I'm asking for your vote.

I'm Dan O'Neil. Thank you!
