</form> Police are hunting for a driver who allegedly reversed into the head of a teenage girl as she lay badly injured in the road

The 16-year-old, who was part of a motorcycle group, was thrown into the back of a Citroen which was being "driven like a complete idiot", according to a witness

The car had cut up the girl and her friend, who were on a motorbike when the crash happened, Derbyshire Live reports

The motorcycle rider, Mike Golden, said the car came to a sudden stop near the Blue Peter pub in Alvaston, Derby, which sent them crashing through the back windscreen

The incident happened at around 3.45pm yesterday.  The crash took place on Shardlow Road, between the Blue Peter Island and the island for Raynesway

He said the pair were lying in the road, badly injured and covered in glass, when the driver reversed straight into the head of the girl, who was left unconscious

Luckily, she still had her crash helmet on.  Mr Golden, of Osmaston, said: "It was absolutely horrendous

He was driving like a complete idiot and was cutting me up and didn't like it when I had originally been in front of him

"He overtook near the Blue Peter pub and just suddenly came to a halt. I managed to stop but we were sent flying over the handlebars

"We both went crashing into the back window and ended up on the floor. There was glass everywhere and the pain was excruciating

My friend fell on top of me.  "Suddenly he reversed right back when we were both on the floor and he reversed into her head

Thankfully she was wearing a motorcycling helmet. He then just sped off, leaving us both in a really bad way

She was totally unconscious and could not move. It was very frightening." Read More Top Stories from Mirror Online  He said the police arrived very quickly and they were taken to the Royal Derby Hospital

She regained consciousness but later passed out again. She is still in hospital receiving treatment

Mr Golden was released around eight hours later and suffered broken ribs, a "smashed up" knee, bad swelling and cuts all over his body

He said he was "incredibly angry" over the incident. He said: "I think what the man did was absolutely disgusting

He was very impatient and was very angry because he was behind us. He then was driving very dangerously

"I could not believe it when he came to a sudden halt. I managed to brake before hitting the car but we just went flying into the back of the windscreen

It was surreal. It was a horrible experience and for my friend as well."  Mr Golden was on the way to a meal in Chaddesden with other riders from the East Midlands Riders club when the incident happened

He said the 16-year-old had become a recent member of the group.  The business manager said he was urging members of the public to help trace the driver

He said: "There will be somebody driving around Derby now with no back windscreen and another window missing which was also smashed in the incident

Somebody will know who is responsible for what happened.  "I would urge them to get in touch with the police

It was an incredibly dangerous thing to do and it could have ended very differently

"  A spokeswoman for Derbyshire police said they were called to a collision between a motorbike and what has been reported to them as a blue Citroen car and that the driver of the vehicle had appeared to have left the scene

She said nobody had been arrested and the force was appealing for anybody who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact them on 101 and quote the number 18000419040

Officers Who Fatally Shot ER Actress Vanessa Marquez 'Acted Appropriately,' Authorities Say - Duration: 3:04.

Police in South Pasadena, California, shot and killed Vanessa Marquez after she allegedly "armed herself" with what was later confirmed to be a BB gun but local authorities are defending the actions of the officers involved

On Saturday, two days after the ER star's death, city officials released a statement warning the public to not make rash judgments about the incident

"We believe our officers acted appropriately under a tragic set of circumstances," City Manager Stephanie DeWolfe said in the statement

"We support our officers and stand by them during this investigation. We believe the facts will show that our officers, along with a mental health professional, made every attempt to resolve the situation peacefully before the use of deadly force became necessary," DeWolfe added

"In the meantime, we are asking the public to be patient and wait until the facts of the case are confirmed before making judgments about the incident," she said

When contacted by PEOPLE, a spokesperson for the South Pasadena Police Department did not provide further information about the shooting, including how many officers fired on Marquez

Two separate investigations are currently being conducted into the former star's death

Marquez, who appeared for three seasons on the long-running NBC medical drama as nurse Wendy Goldman, was shot and killed by South Pasadena police on Thursday following a welfare check at an apartment complex for someone "who was possibly suffering from a medical condition

" She was 49.  In a sheriff's department statement shared on Friday, it was revealed that South Pasadena officers found Marquez "having seizures" and "possibly suffering from mental health issues

"  The star allegedly "became uncooperative" and "appeared to be unable to care for herself" leading authorities to bring in a county mental health expert for assistance

According to Sheriff's Lt. Joe Mendoza, Marquez armed herself with a BB gun and pointed it at the officers, causing them to open fire

Officers were not harmed in the incident.  The sheriff's department and a coroner's spokeswoman confirmed Marquez was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead

 An autopsy is pending.
