Meghan Markle has perfected the art of wearing black and navy together.  While it was once considered a fashion no-no, Meghan is proving it's one of those old sartorial "rules" that stands to be disproved

The Duchess of Sussex looked chic in a navy belted top with ruffled details by Oscar de la Renta and black flared pants by Altuzarra for a sporty outing with Prince Harry on Monday

Between outings with the Queen and royal walkabouts, Meghan is learning the ups and downs of life as the Duchess of Sussex

Although she has quickly adapted to many of the minutiae of royal dos and don'ts, she "has found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand, like the fact that the Queen prefers women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits, and is often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way," a source previously told PEOPLE

"I think she finds it a little frustrating at times, but this is her new life, and she has to deal with it," the source added

She has also taken fashion cues from her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, by opting for pantyhose instead of her usual bare legs and smaller clutches instead of larger handbags

But she's not adhering to all the royal style protocols. She's still wearing off-the-shoulder dresses and her go-to messy buns on official royal outings, proving that Meghan is changing the royal fashion game

Fall Fashion Trends for Women over 40 | How to Style Leopard Print Lookbook - Duration: 12:22.

Hi guys! Welcome back. So a couple of weeks ago, we had a fall trends video

where we showed you all the new and latest different trends that were coming

out for the season. And we thought that it would actually be a good idea to kind of

break down in particular the leopard-print fall trend. Yes and this is

really any animal print you want but I think that we both tend to gravitate

toward the leopard print so we always refer to it as leopard print but that

could be cheetah, giraffe, zebra, whatever you like. So we looked for some

different ways to incorporate this into some outfits and we actually had some

comments after our last video that people really wanted to see like

different ways to wear this because a lot of people kind of get stuck with

just wearing it with the neutrals. So we wanted to kind of take you out of that

and show you some unique ways that you can pair your leopard print or whatever

animal print. Exactly some different color combinations maybe that you guys

haven't thought of before so stay tuned. See what we come up with.

So this first outfit I put together it's actually using a dress I've had in my

closet for several years but really what I wanted to focus on was different color

pairings that look great with leopard print. So green is an awesome color like

a nice vibrant emerald green is a great way to wear a pop of leopard. And I

used a green dress but you definitely don't have to use a dress, this could be

like a green Portofino blouse, it could be a green t-shirt, it could be a green

short, green skirt, green pants. The most important part is that it really looks

the best with that like bright emerald green shade it just really popped.

So in this first outfit I put together

Green mini-dress, I also put some Brown blocked heels that are studded that we

also have links for below, and a leopard clutch. And this is an old leopard clutch

that I have that I really enjoy but there's tons of them out there so we

linked a few that are very similar and I just think Green is just a really great

fun color to put with leopards. Exactly and if you don't have you know that like

you said you can wear it either with a green Portofino and maybe some ripped

jeans. You know it's really looking at different color combinations with the

leopard print that you just haven't thought of before. And I really love this

especially, I don't know if you can tell, but Kelli has some hazel eyes

that really helps to like bring out the color in your eyes. It's one of my

colors but I definitely like. Now the outfit you're wearing is my second

favorite color so I can't wait to see this one because I love the shade.

So I had on a fuchsia portofino shirt and then some ripped denim, along with

these really super cute little loafers that I actually picked up from

Nordstrom. It was in our Nordstrom haul. I ended up getting these. So I've

actually worn this quite a bit and one of the things that I really

you know found that works for us is we tend to only incorporate leopard

print in one item we're wearing. You know I've seen other people

and you know it's okay. Yeah it's all about taste. Right but

we prefer just to pick one item. So whether it's a shoe or a belt or a bag,

you don't really want too many items,

multiple items, kind of competing for the same thing. I think it helps to make a

better statement just to kind of pick one leopard print item to incorporate

into the outfit that you're wearing for the day.

Definitely I like it to be like that one focus you know it's just some people

like to do the matchy thing, I just I don't know, I feel like this looks more

modern and younger. And you know we're all about looking younger. I think it

almost like takes away when you wear too many multiple items. We did

our summer brights and we had two to three of those summer bright items that

we were incorporating but particularly for this trend. Right for any kind of

bold print. One is really the way to go. So the next outfit that I

picked was something that I really hadn't done before but I kind of liked

the way that it turned out. Pairing stripes with a pop of leopard. So

that can be a little scary. Sounds a little crazy but this black and white

striped long-sleeved t-shirt from Old Navy that I picked up. I just really

liked that little bit of stripes with the leopard on the bottom. I broke it up

by throwing on the denim jacket because for me horizontal stripes for sure

I'm not super comfortable with that. It looked super cute. But I liked it with a

denim jacket. I tied it a little bit which is a fun little trick I've been

using a lot lately you know. I'm really partial to the front tuck but sometimes

to change it up I like to just like give it a little knot on the side throw the

jacket on put this with my old trusty white denim and kept the leopard print

to the ballerina flats on the bottom which I also picked up at Old Navy. So

the jacket, the shirt, and the ballerina flats all from Old Navy but I really

like the way that it turned out, I can definitely see myself like wearing this

to a school event or a lunch or out shopping. Yeah and I think that that

front tie that you were doing I think that that's the perfect way, if

you're not going to do a front tuck, is particularly when you have with a

cardigan or a jacket or blazer something over you. And you want to still help

create some definition and a little bit of shape to your body without having it

be a little too... like I wouldn't do it if I didn't have a blazer on. I

wouldn't do it you know. It kind of depends on the shirt. I feel like sometimes it

can tug a little. It depends on the fabric. It's not as forgiving. Yeah that one was definitely like a

stretchier fabric so for me without the jacket I wouldn't do it but I have done

it with like sometimes you know like a t-shirt kind of loose and you want to do

something with it and I feel like that's a great way to kind of tie it. But

anyways stripes and leopard who knew but I like it you know. I think you have to

be careful with it. It has to be you know maybe like a black and white stripe

or a navy and white stripe. I wouldn't go for a crazy colorful stipe exactly

but I think that if you do just a little bit it can definitely work. I think

also if you're paying attention to the width of the stripe.

You also don't want to have something where the stripes on the shirt

are really really wide you know something a little bit slimmer, smaller

stripes I think are also a lot more flattering.

And for my next outfit I

paired a white portofino shirt that I picked up from Express with my red pants

that I got from Old Navy from actually are our last haul a few

weeks ago. And I paired it with a leopard print belt. What you're actually wearing

right now. Yeah that it was a find. I love that belt. Express, right? Express, yes.

I love that belt. And then I also bought some black high heels with it but it's

really an easy switch, you could put it with some black little ballet flats,

with a little pointy shoe, in order to make it a little bit more casual. You

know for every day probably like how we would usually wear it.

Although I loved it like this! Like I definitely feel like this would be an

awesome date night look or like something dressier but

you know probably have our ballerina flats on. Yeah but you know I usually - I would

probably pair it with a black shirt. Oh that might be pretty. Yeah but I like

the white you know just in to change it. I really like this outfit a lot.

Really pretty and I love the belt. It was just such a great find. So super cute.

So for my next outfit I was dying outside because here in Florida it's like 95

degrees but for you guys. I had on this yellow sweater that I actually got during the Nordstrom

anniversary sale. It's from there BP brand. Super cute. I'm kind of like

embracing yellow lately which I did not wear yellow for decades. I never honestly

would have thought of the two colors going together but I really love them.

Yes and it's funny because like I've definitely been into yellow and I don't

know I saw it somewhere with the leopard and I thought ooohhh I really like that

combination. So it's another way to use leopard and doesn't have to be in a

sweater like I did. It could be in a silky Portofino, it could be yellow

shorts with the white top and a leopard belt you know there's lots of ways. So we

really wanted you guys to like take away from this video something that you

learned that you don't necessarily have to have the same pieces we're wearing

but just ideas for how to use your animal print. And yellow's a great way so

I used the yellow sweater, my leopard print is in my scarf but I could easily

switch that out and put it in my shoe, in my bag, and a belt. So I use it in this

scarf which is also from Nordstrom's BP brand that I picked up during the

anniversary sale but I believe it's still like $20. It's a great piece to have for

fall and I paired it with these. Which I have been getting a ridiculous

amount of use out of from Old Navy. They're the faux mule suede booties and

um yeah I really like the way that it turned out. definitely you know is

another great way to use your leopard prints putting some yellow with it.

Yeah really pretty. I really like that outfit.

And of course we couldn't end

this video without touching upon the classics, our neutrals, the browns, the

blacks, the whites. So in this next outfit I paired it with a white camisole, a

nice brown chunky sweater. Yeah your turn to suffer. I'm like sweating. My eye makeup had dripped all

the way down to my lip liner. And then I paired it with some black jeans. And the

same thing, the black faux mules that we also picked up from Old Navy.

It's important to you know be able to venture out into different

colors but you know obviously don't forget the classics and my leopard print

came obviously in our tote bag. Which is you know our favorite kind of bag that

Kelli has. We picked that up at our Nordstrom Haul video though. That's

another one you know a lot of use out of.

Yeah I really liked it with these neutrals but like it was still

a little bit different because I loved the black and the brown together was

actually one of the fall trends that was listed in our video. So it was really

cool to see that like all paired together. You can also do it with the denim you

have on now. So many options which is why I have a closet

full of leopard. Exactly so next time when you guys are you know looking to

incorporate leopard print don't think that you know you have to kind of stay

within a certain box, really start to try to experiment with some different

colors and patterns and really kind of be daring and see what colors look best

on you and then trying to incorporate it with the leopard prints.

Yeah I think we've covered a lot of good ones, we've got fuchsia, red. I'm sure we'll come up with more.

I want my shoes to be practical but also

let people know that I know about

politics and I'm smart AF like why do

these even exist he looks like he has no

soul in his eyes are just black

bottomless pits I wonder if these shoes

need their own car insurance because

what are these what are those we got

some Mercedes shoes like I want to know

where these actually made my Mercedes or

is this some type of DIY project

someone's created that has surfaced the

web and I found it and put it in a video

are these real shoes it's somebody wore

you know those people who are like very

proud of being a certain car owner and

then they started like dressing all the

swag and they're like they just need to

let the world know this sweater is

horrible but I also need one right now

there's cats all over it like what it's

very kind of scary-looking I kind of

like it I kind of need it I feel like

you just always have a friend to cuddle

with remember when I made the video

about the jeans like this ages ago and I

said this is gonna become a trend I mean

I'm not gonna tell you I told you

somebody told yourself

they've become a trend I mean

unfortunately for the world they've

become a trend because you cannot rip

jeans more even if you tried you can't

like there's no more fabric left to rip

my oh my question though is like aren't

you gonna be cold so the winds just

gonna be gonna move through the jeans I

mean why even wear the jeans and like

what do you wear with them now you've

got to put thought into your underwear

that's like just adds a whole nother

level of thinking that I don't want to

deal with what I'm dressing myself I

don't want have to think about my

undergarments and they look good with my

outfit no no no no no that stuff is you

just put it on blind you don't care what

you put on if there's lion roars it's

gonna be a little stinky up in here am i

right cuz that's all you can think of is

why would you put the placement of the

animal head area mmm it just doesn't

doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy

inside it makes you feel like cringe not

to lie this is kinda trippy like I'm if

you look a little bit cross-eyed you can

see something happening also another

thing she kind of runs Eva kite like do

you think she's tried flying with those

because my work

I know sometimes with fashion you gotta

take risks but tell me one thing why is

this woman wearing a urinal on herself

oh you're not does she not know that

people he and that thing like I feel

like lady you're doing it but you should

not be dressed as something that makes

me wanna puke I mean I know I shouldn't

be talking I should be the last person

talking because I don't nothing about

fashion like literally nothing like zero

like I'm here wearing bell sleeves

yellow bell sleeves I mean I kind of

like them because like they go like this

and then they fall in my food and then

it's just a disaster but maybe I should

be in this video as well I mean I am in

the video but I mean like Hawking above

myself and being like oh what you're

wearing go

Nicki Minaj Queen but no matter how much

of a queen anybody is I don't think they

can pull up his hair like this hair

looks like cotton candy and Connie candy

should be in my tummy and not on my hair

Cassius I mean she almost pulls it off

I'm still like not a fan of the hair

band of her not of the hair don't get it

twisted

wow those are shoes that just want to

break your ankles like that is a ankle

break waiting to happen I am actually

terrified for her ankles I know I said

this a million times ankle ankle ankle

but protect yourself don't wear those

shoes first of all there's no heel

sacral they're hella high you can pull

upward hella high shoes but they got to

be properly supportive this is not look

support her she just looks like she's

gonna fall back and then someone's gonna

have to run and catch her and it ain't

gonna be me because I don't know where

she is I mean if I knew where she was I

try now you guys couldn't say what you

want about the fashion but my first

instinct was to jump on her back and go

magic carpet and I feel like if that's

people's first instincts you probably

shouldn't wear because I feel like it

doesn't lead to a lot of uncomfortable

situation people are gonna get sued I'm

not actually I'm jumping her back I'm

saying that's kind of what I want to do

because that's what it looks like I can

show you the world shining shimmering

splendid hope this guy really doesn't

get the urge to kick someone in the butt

because that's gonna hurt who's that you

need to be that pointy like I can't

think of any reason why they need to be

that pointy like does it help you

balance oh my god whatever he can rock

back and forth like this on the shoes

like money well spent

now look I'm all for looking both ways

when you cross the street but I don't

think we need to start wearing cones in

our head not now not ever

it's never gonna be me I'm gonna eat my

words next thing you know people are

gonna be wearing cones in their head and

then Gooch is gonna start making cone

head paths and then I'm gonna feel bad

about saying this in the video because

once you say something that the Internet

is there forever

sorry two future people who wear cones

on their heads it wasn't a thing now

okay I don't know what's happened in the

future but right now it's not a thing

now I really appreciate people who reuse

things and try to save money and try to

save the environment wearing a garbage

bag as a shirt I think and I think they

should too because bag is a little

see-through I mean I'm just not living

for it okay I need to be living for it

and I'm not living for it it's just I

just have no words I don't even know

what to say about it it's just it's just

not work you know okay let's not wear

bags do you ever feel like a plastic bag

especially when that plastic bag is a

bag of flaming like Cheerios a flaming

hot cheetos to him I can't even speak

flaming hot Cheerios needs to be a thing

though why isn't that a thing the only

time you should wear a camo suit to prom

is when you're taking out a girl to prom

you don't want your girlfriend to find

out cuz nobody can see you because you

cam a boy yeah I don't think it's how

that works

or does it can you guys even see him

like where is he it's just a girl right

there's nobody there okay I know I'm

supposed to hate this but I kind of dig

it this is like some woman who's a

superhero

oh geez Mon who thinks that I'm like

okay girl you go you go fight em oh

Jesus or with emojis I don't know I

don't have the plot like exactly lay it

out yet but I know there's something to

do with superheroes and emojis and

that's I know you guys make the rest

no but seriously her hair like perfectly

important it's just like like one big

furry suit the sex she reminds me

something so there's this like really

cute like faux fur like black jacket I

wanted and it's like I'm really really

really debating it cuz the jackets

really cute but like on the website it's

like a blonde model wearing it to her

hair like obviously stands out again

it's like a black faux fur and I'm like

my hair so dark it's not black but it's

so dark that I feel like it might blend

and I might look like this this lady and

just like one big ball of fur and I'm

afraid I'm just gonna look stupid so I

haven't I haven't bought it but it just

looks so cozy

cuz it's soft and cuddly and it's

cruelty free so I'm like yeah I'll never

forget you your memory will live on in

my clothing that's what I feel like this

interaction was like he's like putting

his couch on the curb and you say I'm

pretty much you right now again guys no

hate I mean I got equally as odd fashion

sense odd it's still odd odd doesn't

always mean bad now how can I wear this

Fedora without hiding my dreads my

dreads through the hole it just looks so

strange and like makes me feel

uncomfortable like I feel uncomfortable

for his hair very very much so like do

you really need to show your dreads that

much that people can see it coming out

of the sides oh maybe it's cuz he has it

in a ponytail oh I get it now Oh Eureka

the D added his hair in a ponytail and

the Hat just wouldn't fit over it so

he's little screw loose cuts a hole

through it and then puts it through his

ponytail if you really like want to

protect yourself in the Sun I'm not

hating it

just mirrors his woman wearing a shirt

that looks an awful lot like cheesy

fries need like the shirt and the fries

can I get both can I get both up in here

when you have a doctor's appointment at

6:00 but your heavy metal concert is at

7:00 I don't know who this man is or

where he came from but that Pikachu made

it go

I mean I'm laughing but I literally have

a shirt like this it's just not orange

it's like baby pig I think I wore it and

like a few videos I think I wore it in

like a past video like maybe two days

ago or a day ago or a few days ago I

literally was wearing the same thing it

just looks funny because of the rest of

that but I think it's also probably just

cosplay good for everybody in their

creativity you know it may not be

fashionable fashionable passionate

fashionable Wow why is the word so hard

to say fashionable might in saying that

right sounds weird fashionable

fashionable what I'm trying to say is it

may not be fashionable most of this is a

winter outfit which makes me wonder lady

where are your pants

okay you have frostbite on those knees

yeah these don't look weird at all I've

always wanted to wear fish on my feet

and now I finally can dreams do come

true I've seen this picture many times

and every single time it makes me wanna

krill cheese sandwich nicely isn't like

what kind of what he looks like he has

wrapped around him I bet he was just

cold

he was just like oh somebody give me a

blanket I don't even this probably

wasn't even fashion he's just staying

warm and cozy under a blanket okay what

what are we what are we discussing in

this picture is it is it grandpa's hat

honestly I don't even care what he's

wearing look how happy

I wish all of us were that happy look at

his savato he's just like 52 ttttt

anyways guys I hope you enjoyed this

video I love y'all so much

stay awesome stay sweet and don't forget

me know each other

Meghan Markle toes ROYAL FASHION line as she slips into SAME OUTFIT as Princess Beatrice - Duration: 3:42.

The Duchess of Sussex launched her new cookbook Together: Our Community cookbook, at Kensington Palace, inspired by her time helping the women survivors of the Grenfell Tower disaster to host a community kitchen to help feed those displaced by the fire

At the launch, the elegant Duchess was spotted wearing a sleek black top and matching skirt designed by Misha Nonoo - a prominent designer who was credited as being partially responsible for setting Meghan up with her husband, Prince Harry, who she wed in May of this year

The Duchess paired the pleated mini-length skirt, which adheres to strict royal style protocols, with a black turtleneck jumper and a blue coat

But days later, Princess Beatrice, 26, wore the exact same Misha Nonoo skirt while attending a Big Change charity event in Manchester on Friday

In similar style to Meghan, the daughter of Sarah Ferguson the Duchess of York, also paired the black top and skirt ensemble with a beige overcoat

So was Beatrice echoing Meghan – or was Meghan's choice just a wise nod to the stylish but conservative dress-code of the royal family

Princess Beatrice not only echoed the Duchess' acute sense of style, but also her hands-on approach to charity work

In June, celebrity stylist Rochelle White told the Daily Mail that Meghan, the latest addition to the modernised monarchy, had a positive influence over Beatrice's sense of style The similarities come despite the young royal being featured on the cover of magazines such as Vogue alongside her sister, Princess Eugenie

She also said that Meghan had marked her own influence on British fashion, with Beatrice also keen to follow in the Duchess' footsteps

Mrs White said: "Beatrice has definitely been taking notes on the royal fashion of Meghan

"She has been a big influence on fashion, trends and style and I think she has seen the power in that

"This has probably made her look at her own fashion and style choices. "Looking at her, she has grown into a more sophisticated, trendy style

"The styles she is choosing now are much more fashionable and on trend. I think they look much more flattering for her

"I think she is coming into her own with her fashion and style choices and is great to see

This could open up the door for her." Princess Eugenie is due to wed her fiancée Jack Brooksbank in October, in a wedding ceremony at Windsor Castle that has regularly been compared to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's fairytale day

However, in a reversal of leading the style trends, all attendees on the big day are required to adhere to a strict dress code, including Meghan and her sister-in-law, Kate the Duchess of Cambridge

The compulsory code says that all attendees must wear a hat to the wedding, a nod to the York sisters' sense of style and fashion

All male attendees must also rock morning suits, which Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William are expected to wear

And Royal ladies are expected to wear more conservative dresses according to royal fashion etiquette - and partly because Eugenie's ceremony is being held in a church
