What is Tantra?
You can not answer this question in one sentence.
But we try to find one in this video.
We are at open house of Tantra Institute NAMASTE
They exist for 20 years now.
And we will have a sitdown with one of the best known
Tantra Teachers of Europe: HELENA KRIVAN.
And after watching this video hopefully
Tantra is no longer stuck in the esoteric corner.
Helena asked me if I
could transform my understanding of Tantra
in a composition.
As promised: Helena Krivan.
Author of this masterpiece.
Her doctoral dissertation.
"Tantra Workshops and tantric peaces"
The plural of peace!
And the impact of tantric workshops
on participants.
Thats right!
I think whats most interesting for my viewers:
What does Tantra have to do with sex?
Well, Tantra deals with sexuality.
But that is often misunderstood:
Many believe that Tantra is ONLY sex
They think Tantra is about orgasms, sex positions,...
longer, more often, further, higher...
That's just a small part of
what Tantra really is.
Tantra wants to pick you up from a point
where you may be a bit frustrated:
from your environment,
where you have difficulties in your relationship
where you do not feel comfortable with your body
where you think the world is no good place.
Tantra picks you up from this point and
brings you to a point where you say:
No matter what, I'm fine.
I am calm inside, i feel the joy.
Did your answer already include
my question what Tantra really is?
Rudimentarily.
Sexuality is part of it
because
Not as an end in itself but as
a vehicle. Imagine a car
but you need to drive that car
if not your car is useless.
Sexuality in Tantra
has the purpose of taking you, like a car,
to your final destination.
But at a Tantra Workshop Sexuality is not
present, practiced or explored because it
is so much fun...
It is there because you gain energy from it.
That's why you often hear that Tantra is not about the climax.
That's one of the big features
you will notice a difference between providers.
If it is about having more and intenser sex
of if it is about something beyond that.
Many viewers wrote me that they heard:
At a Tantra workshop, I can learn to delay my orgasm
because I always come too quick.
Is that right?
There are ways to teach that
Tantra is not about: You are not allowed to come any more.
But you will get to know your body more
You will learn to trust your body,
To use your energy better or in different ways.
Not only to make "it" happen.
You will decide how you want to use your energy.
And if you want to have an orgasm or not
thats what YOU decide.
Let's talk about your dissertation.
Your 411 pages.
What did you find out?
What does a Tantra seminar do to people?
What you get when you stay tuned...
with a little something you will only get a small output.
It's like jogging...
You will be able to jog down your stairs but
thats a little something
but it is far away from a marathon.
So what you get is:
more self confidence.
Literally: You become more aware of yourself
You become more aware of your body.
You will feel better, especially as a woman.
You will be in peace with your body
no matter how your body looks.
You will start embrace how you look like
and start to value yourself.
I worked with women who where unhappy with her appearance
even though they were fantastically beautiful.
If you are more concerned with the
preciousness of your own body
When you get to know your body better
You will learn to appreciate him.
You will be yourself.
He offers you sensations, experiences
and they will carry you on your way.
So if you are having troubles with your self-esteem...
if you are questioning yourself if you are enough,
beautiful enough, you can
work on that at a tantric workshop.
Absolutely, your values will shift as well.
You start to recognize what is really important
or more exciting.
Than worring about your cellulite.
Is Tantra very spiritual or esoteric?
I already talked about that in the beginning.
Esoteric means: for an inner circle
not for everyone.
There are things that are protected
like informations, methods,...
that does not have to be distributed everywhere
So, esoteric is kind of the right word... literally.
But if you enter that inner circle
if you say: YES. I want to learn all that
it will be very valuable for you.
But if you understand the word esoteric
as it often happens:
Nonsense, unscientific
not detectable
strange or something else...
My thesis has the goal to prove
that tantra is a very serious method.
Tantra is a form of working on yourself
to make self-experience
through WORK.
Sure it is also entertaining, it's funny
but it's also work.
That's why Tantra is not esoteric at all :)
You invented a word: "Peacability".
You wrote that in your thesis.
Well I didnt really "invent" that word.
It is already excisting.
But it is not really in use.
My dissertation is wrote in english.
and as i looked for the right word,
it did not exist:
The ability to create inner peace
Pacific could be a translation but
there is no determination.
Peacability is not just the ability
to create and hold inner peace
but also the willingness
to engage with others
not to evade crises,
not to avoid fears.
This is very brave:
Peacability.
A beautiful word!
Is Tantra only for old people?
This is a very good question!
Our participants are indeed 35 years old and up,
and that has a good reason
Sorry but that is not really "old" ;)
Yes thats right!
It's certainly not for teenagers.
As Teen or Twen, you are still exploring:
Who am I?
How does Sex work?
How does spirituality work?
There is still so much to do
you have not experienced any frustrations.
Whatever went wrong you can always say:
It is the others fault.
Like: It's because he is not the right one for me,
because my boss did something bad...
There will be a phase in life where you realize:
it is not only because of the others.
And then you start reflecting:
where is my share in all of my misery.
Anf that's when people start with tantra and
most of the time that starts at the age of 35.
One last question about relationships...
Would you advise me to come alone
or with my partner?
And if I come alone, is my relationship endangered?
It depends on your relationship!
I've been watching for 21 years
and there's everything.
There are couples that come together but you can clearly see
that one is there to guard.
Then thre are couples who say:
Honey, you make this training,
I stay at home and watch the kids.
I will do mine next year and that really works.
There are relationships
that get better through tantra
and there are relationships that break
but not because of tantra or what tantra did
With Tantra you look like through a
magnifying glass on this relationship
and the good things get bigger and stronger
but also what is difficult.
That's why it breaks easier.
The good news is you save time.
So Tantra is for the brave.
But I think that my viewers are VERY brave.
If there is an open house again
just try it out, that did no harm to anyone.
Noone will be naked or hurt you.
See! Just get your info folder.
On their website: https://tantra.at
You will also find that information below the video.
If you are only looking for sex
this is not the right place for you.
You would not enjoy it.
It is too exhausting.
You can get Sex much easier.
It is not our goal here.
Before you listen to other people's prejudices
or if you still have some in spite of this video
just try it out, you can only win!
And as always you can send me an e mail
with your questions about Sex:
sandra.raunigg@kronehit.at
I will answer your question
in one of my next videos.
Thank you Helena and thanks for watching.
