Hey Y'all, it's Keisha Shields I just finished up mastermind call and my mentor and
coach Lindsay we were talking about the story of this woman named Mary Dixon
Kies "Keys" (or some people pronounce it as "Kies") and kind of the legacy of her story where was she was the
first woman in the U.S. to be able to author a patent in the early
1800s before then women were not allowed to do so and what was so profound though
about this discussion was that as the legacy of the story goes there was a
fire in the US Patent Office and the only records of her patent approval
burned in a fire right so essentially the legacy that she was known for the
proof of it burned and it kind of got me thinking as I am about to release my
Awaken Your Voice class and I'm gonna host it live I'm super excited because
it ties directly into this. What would you do if the only proof of your legacy that
existed vanished? Whether it burned in a fire or drowned
in the ocean or some other thing happened, what would you do --
what would you do to keep your story alive? How would people know who you are
and your contribution and the powerhouse that you have been like the reason why
we know about her is because of the stories that were passed down and a lot
of us are not telling those stories a lot of us leaders are not telling those
stories. Most of the stories we're talking about surround our business but
what about the personal experiences that you have that have truly shaped who you
are would anybody know if someone says hey
do you guys know about Keisha Shields-- if my proof had vanished would they
know the stories that really exemplify and define who I am and the contribution
I want to leave behind? If someone was to utter your name 100 years from now would
they know the stories that really really tell about who you are and what you've
done and who you're becoming or would there be a blank? "No, we don't know about
her tell us about her." Well ... would there be a blank? That's a
really big deal make sure that your legacy is not only tied to physical
proof and validation make sure that there are stories about you the stories
that you want to be out there that you want associated with your name make sure
that those stories are being told in a way that makes you feel safe that makes
you feel like you are actually being in your truth that makes you feel like
you're actually building a legacy that's not just based on your expertise but
that's based on the experiences that you have made it through don't let your
history your legacy vanish and no one be able to stand up and stand in for you to
talk about the impact. So my question to you is if your proof was to vanish would
we know who you are? Would we be able to understand your legacy? Are you sharing
those stories? Are you afraid to publicly share some of those stories? If you are I
encourage you, strongly encourage you to join me in Awaken Your Voice. I'm running
it live for seven weeks and it is gonna be profound and engaging and fun and
we're gonna cry and laugh and we're gonna have these conversations right
taboo discussions or open discussion because it's important to me that I see
more of our men and women putting their stories out there and using their
stories as a part of legacy as well. That's so important, so tell me would
there be a legacy to pass down about you if poof everything else was gone? I would
love to hear your thoughts about it. Bye!

What is OM | Power of OM | Meaning of OM | Patanjali Yoga Sutras | Part 27 - Duration: 10:25.
Sutra number 27 "tasya vachakah pranavah"
translation he is represented through the sound vibration OM. Any entity when
it needs to be communicated needs to have a designation or a name. Without a
designation or a name how do you communicate? So God needs a name and that
name for God in the Vedas amongst other names is OM.
this OM is also called Pranav. It represents the formless aspect of God
without any attributes, without any designations, without any forms - is
all-pervading formless aspect is represented by the OM. This OM is
particularly significant because it is a cosmic sound, this whole universe is
pervaded by OM. So
in the Vedas the OM comes in the beginning of mantras as the beaj as the
seed. "Chanting Vedic mantra" the OM comes
there. So OM is uncontroversial, anybody, everybody can accept this OM
There are many Yogi's who are drawn to the formless aspect of God, they enjoy
meditating upon OM but what is important is the name of God, whichever
name you wish to take do remember his name. The Bible says in the beginning was
the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Vedas say when God
created this world before he created the physical entities earth water fire air
sky he created the sound OM and from that sound game sky and then everything
else unfolded so there's a parallel between these different scriptures and
there all of them emphasize the name of God. So what is the advantage of the name of
the of God? Our mind it fluctuates in its thoughts
we don't keep the mind focused in one place, so in a minute you're thinking
this and then thinking that and then thinking a third thing and so on it goes
so if we can develop this habit of taking God's name the mind gets yoked to
it. So that in order to bring the mind under control the chanting of his name
becomes very advantageous. This chanting of the name can be done in different
ways. One is Upanchu. Upanchu is where your lips are closed or or slightly open
and you are chanting but nobody can hear you.. you're chanting nobody can hear you
one is Maanasic you're just chanting in the mind Radhe Shyam Radhe Shyam
and one is Vachak when you are actually speaking it out.
Hare Ram Hare Ram Ram Ram Hare Ram and one is kirtan where you're singing it loudly with the playing of
musical instruments. So all these are different ways of taking the name of God
and devotees of the Lord they take advantage of all of these. Kripaluji
Maharaj he says, "Shwasa jab khicho to 'Ra' kahu man he manatee pyare, shwasa jab chodu
to kahu 'Dhe' dhyan bhi karu pyare, dhyan bhi karu pyare"
says when you breathe in, in your mind chant 'Ra" and when you breathe out in your mind chant 'Dhe' so
with every breath you will remember Radharani Radhey Radhey alternatively you
can chant Radhe Krishna or Sita Ram or Namah Shivaya in other words use your
breath to remember God. The Saints have reminded us "shwaas shwaas sumiran kuro yaha
upaya bado neek" Saint Kabir ji says, this is a beautiful strategy to remember God with
every breath
so while remembering we must also create those sentiments and for that the Saints
inform us that remember there is no difference between God and his name. That
distinction is there in the world the word water and the entity water they are
separate. If you are thirsty mere repetition of water water water will not
quench your thirst but in the spiritual realm
God is non-different from his name. God's names, forms, virtues, pastimes, abodes
associates. Naam, Rupa, Leela, Guna, Dham, Sant they are all one so because they are all
one God is sitting inside his name
there is no difference. If you can have faith then when you take the name the
sentiments will naturally be there that he is manifesting in the form of his
name when I am chanting it and with that kind of sentiment when we take the name
Lord Shankar, Shivji says..Jesus rock our Adina nomination motto mama Parvati mana
Prasanna tamati namah namah bashang gaya he says Oh Parvati when I hear someone
say rah I feel that he's going to see more he intends to say Rama he may say
one afterwards round one but I get thrilled merely hearing rah this is Lord
shoes sentiments towards the name because he
sees the name is not different from the Lord so even in the world the name does

What If The Mothman Was Real? - Duration: 5:00.
Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, I'm Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey.
The Mothman is a dangerous flying creature first reported in West Virginia on November
12, 1966.
It has since enjoyed a good deal of fame, thanks in part John Keel's book The Mothman
Prophecies, which would go on to become a film starring Richard Gere.
Many assume that it's simply an urban legend, but what if this freaky flying fella actually
existed?
Let's explore.
If you want more What If videos, check out our "Biggest What Ifs" playlist on the
channel.
Now get ready, it's time to ask the question: What if The Mothman Was Real?
There are a number of tales put forth by people who claim to have seen The Mothman, and while
the description varies somewhat, there are definite similarities between them.
Despite its name, The Mothman actually resembles a moth rather little, aside from the fact
that they both fly.
It's said to more resemble an owl or crane in appearance, standing 7 feet tall, with
a wingspan of over 10 feet.
While there's some disagreement, many reports included references to large eyes that seem
to glow in the dark.
It's said that he can fly over 100 miles an hour, but when on foot, shuffles along like
a penguin.
The first Mothman sighting in 1966 involved five men who were preparing a grave in a cemetery.
All of a sudden, they noticed a large, brown winged creature rise from the trees.
The scary part?
They all swore that it was humanoid.
The second sighting that would bring fame to the Mothman came 3 days later, when two
young married couples saw a winged creature with two large eyes, looking to be six or
seven feet tall, and resembling a man.
This time, they fled, only to be pursued by the beast at speeds of up to 100 miles an
hour.
Talk about terrifying.
That same week, a local building contractor named Merle Partridge reported his TV screen
suddenly going on the fritz, going dark and showing strange patterns.
When he looked outside, he saw two red orbs that resembled eyes, but not those of any
animal he knew.
His dog made chase, and was never seen again.
At least, not alive.
The next few days saw a number of sightings of a similar large, flying creature.
Then, when a bridge collapsed suspiciously the following year, the Mothman legend was
born.
These stories certainly sound farfetched, leading most people to assume they were either
a trick of the eyes, or dishonest stories told for attention.
Let's be real; the people who DID see something probably just saw a sandhill crane.
However, we're not asking if the Mothman actually is real, we're wondering what would
happen if he WAS real.
So let's set aside the improbability of the thing, and use these stories to figure
out how a real life Mothman might change the world as we know it.
Of course, if there was a giant man-moth flying around, there would be grave consequences.
First of all, Karl Pilkington would be awestruck.
Let's see how many people get THAT reference.
But this would also, of course, result in a number of attacks.
The beast seems to be aggressive and highly dangerous, and would likely assault anyone
it found in the open.
It would also attack pets and livestock.
However, if there was a large, flying dude snatching people and killing animals, there's
a good chance that people would want the thing dead.
And in this case, the large number of guns in the United States could come in handy.
Now, it's true that West Virginia is not the most heavily armed state in the US, with
only 9.4 registered firearms for every 1000 citizens.
However, between those guns, illegal firearms, and any police or army presence, there's
a pretty good chance that the thing would eventually be spotted and shot.
Unfortunately, this could have some unwanted side-effects.
If people were on high alert for a figure that resembles a human, they could well pull
a Dick Cheney and accidentally shoot another person.
This would, of course, be terrible, so it would be important to hunt the Mothman down
professionally as soon as possible, to limit the hysteria in the surrounding area.
This would be easier with a coordinated effort, especially with the use of technology to search
for the creature.
However, this could prove rather difficult for a number of reasons.
For one, despite a relatively large number of reports, the Mothman has been seldom seen
over the years.
And when it is seen, it tends to move quickly.
This, combined with the intense fear and paranoia experienced by those who run into it, would
make it rather difficult to hunt it down and kill it.
Furthermore, the story about the Mothman interfering with electronics would have some serious consequences,
both good and bad.
On the bright side, this might allow people to know when the Mothman was nearby; if their
electronics began to malfunction, they should be on the lookout for the beast.
However, this would make hunting the creature more difficult, particularly at night, since
it could result in various lights and sensors malfunctioning whenever you were close to
catching the thing.
However, it should be noted that it doesn't seem to affect the electronics in cars, so
it could be that this ability is not quite so potent.
And now we return to our question: What if The Mothman was Real?
Well, as is common in these videos, people would probably start dying.
However, since there's no indication that the creature would be especially durable,
the prevalence of firearms in the US would likely make it easier to deal with.
This would, however, likely result in accidental collateral damage, which would necessitate
a quick and professional attempt to locate the beast, and either capture or kill it.
It's possible that this would be made more difficult since it might have the ability
to inhibit technology, but if the attacks continued, there's a good chance that it
would eventually be killed.
So at the end of the day, it would likely keep away from humans, in which case we wouldn't
be affected, or it would eventually be killed or captured.
Thank you for watching Life's Biggest Questions, I hope this was interesting and informative,
and maybe even inspired you to look into it further on your own.

BREAKING News Out Of ATLANTA… THEY ARRESTED HIM! LOOK WHAT HE WAS DOING!!! - Duration: 2:40.
ATLANTA – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO)
removed an MS-13 gang member from the United States Friday who is wanted in his home country
on felony charges of illicit involvement in a terrorist organization and aggravated homicide.
Juan Saravia-Salamanca, an unlawfully present Salvadoran national, was located and arrested
by an ICE ERO Fugitive Operations Team outside his Raleigh, N.C., residence Dec. 12, 2017,
after the government of El Salvador informed ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)
National Gang Unit Nov. 21, 2017, that it had issued a warrant for Mr. Saravia-Salamanca's
arrest.
He was subsequently ordered removed from the United States by a federal immigration judge
April 18, after receiving appropriate legal process before the federal immigration courts.
Since Oct. 1, 2009, ERO has removed more than 1,789 foreign fugitives from the United States
who were sought in their native countries for serious crimes, including kidnapping,
rape and murder.
ERO works with the ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Office of International Operations,
foreign consular offices in the United States, and Interpol to identify foreign fugitives
illegally present in the United States.
Members of the public who have information about foreign fugitives are urged to contact
ICE by calling the ICE tip line at 1 (866) 347-2423 or internationally at 001-1802-872-6199.
They can also file a tip online by completing ICE's online tip form.
Thus far in FY18, ICE arrests comprise over 66 percent convicted criminals.
Of the remaining individuals not convicted of a crime, approximately 60 percent of those
persons came into ICE custody following their criminal arrest — reflecting the agency's
continued prioritization of its limited enforcement resources on aliens who pose the greatest
threat to public safety.
ICE's strong interior reinforcement is demonstrated by a 25 percent increase in ICE removals stemming
from an ICE arrest over the same time in FY2017, nearly offsetting a 20 percent drop in removals
resulting from border apprehensions.

Intro to Soc: What is sociology? - Duration: 7:03.
Hi this is Pat Johnson your sociology instructor and in this mini lecture
we're going to answer the following questions. First of all what is sociology?
Then we're going to talk about what sociologists mean by a sociological
imagination. Finally we're going to ask what is a social construction.
Sociology is the systematic study of human society. For example if I ask you why are
you taking this class? You might say, "well duh I signed up for it; I have to take it
for my program." But in sociology we go deeper than that. Really why are you
taking this class? You could be taking it because your parents want you to get an
education. You could be taking it because you need a Pell Grant for financial
reasons. You might be taking the class because it's part of a program of study
that will get you a diploma that might get you a job that might get you pay. So
when we use sociology we look at how society affects our individual choices.
In other words we live in a society where education is deemed necessary for
our advancement in the society and the bottom line is that's usually why most
people are here taking this class. A sociologist by the name of C. Wright
Mills used the concept of developing a sociological imagination. When I think of
C. Wright Mills I always think of the picture that was shown of him in my
introduction to sociology class and that was C. Wright Mills traveling on his
motorcycle. C Wright Mills was thought to be somewhat of a rebel and a free spirit
but more importantly he's known for this concept of developing a
sociological imagination. C. Wright Mills said we need to apply
imaginative thought to asking and answering questions about how the
society a person lives in affects that person's life.
So for example let's suppose a person is having problems getting a job and we ask
well why is that person having problems getting a job? We might say things on the
surface like well maybe the person just hasn't applied to enough places or maybe
the person is too picky and doesn't want to work at a fast food place. But if we
use our sociological imagination we go a lot deeper than that. We might imagine
the economic opportunities in that area. Are there enough jobs? Is there a
competing educated workforce that precludes a young 18 or 19 year old from
getting their first job? Is the person experiencing any bias by the person
doing the hiring? There's all sorts of reasons why a person might not be able
to get their first job more so than just he or she isn't trying enough. So when we
use our sociological imagination as C. Wright Mills says we can never really understand
an individual unless we also understand the society, the historical time period
in which the person lives, personal troubles and social issues. So we need to
go deeper than just the surface possibilities for understanding what's
going on in society. Another thing we're going to look at in
this course is social constructions. So what is a social construction? A social
construction is an idea or practice that a group of people agree exists. For
example a social construction might be college admissions. People agree that
some colleges are competitive in who they admit and who they don't admit. This
is a social construction. Colleges might use criteria such as the person's
GPA or what classes the person has taken, the person's extracurricular activities,
their essays, or their standardized test scores. Some people might argue that they
look at characteristics like race or gender or age in admitting people to a
college. But needless to say everyone agrees that college admissions exists
and we have an idea among us about this practice. When we use a social
construction of dating and we talk about how people agree what dating is, we can
see how specific times might disagree about what dating is. In other words talk
to your parents or talk to your grandparents about what dating means to
them. They might see dating as something totally different than you see it in
your time period and your place. Another example of a social construction could
be marriage. Some people think of marriage as only one man and one woman.
In some cultures marriage includes a dowry where a woman is exchanged for
goods given to the bride's family. In other societies as we'll see later on in
the course marriage can be between more than two
people and as we've seen change in recent years in our culture that society
has expanded the idea of marriage to include same-sex marriage . So the social
construction of marriage is changing. It changes based on time; it changes based
on the society that a person lives in. In sociology we look at human society and
we look at all the influences of society on a person's life. That's what we'll be
doing this semester-- seeing how society affects a person's
life.

There we are. Can you say something? No???
Hey, man! How you doing? I'm doing well. You're doing well. You look great!
You can buy all kinds of weapons here. Fake, but very realistic.
