BREAKING News Out Of California…
This Is NOT Good A California maniac who pleaded not guilty
after being accused of waterboarding and torturing his wife earlier this year could be looking
at life in prison.
Richard David Schlosser, 36, of Newport Beach, was hit with a slew of charges in January,
including torture, and criminal threats, after allegedly attacking his 65-year-old wife,
the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.
Schlosser "kept her captive in the apartment for hours," Senior Deputy District Attorney
Mark Geller told Southern California's City News Service.
"He actually waterboarded her."
Geller said the 36-year-old held his wife inside their home in January while under the
influence of drugs and alcohol, City News Service reported.
After Schlosser reportedly "sobered up," the woman, who has not been publicly identified,
was able to contact a friend, who called police.
She was reportedly hospitalized to be treated for her injuries, Fox News reported. In a restraining
order request, that was later dismissed due to the her failure to appear in court, the
woman claimed Schlosser attacked her for six hours from Jan. 5 until Jan. 6, the Times
reported.
She alleged he "punched her — leaving her with a black eye — kicked her, hit her
with a candelabra and cut her with scissors," according to the newspaper.
Court documents reportedly state that Schlosser allegedly choked the woman and shoved a towel
down her throat.
He also faces possible sentencing enhancements on allegations of causing great bodily injury
and committing an offense while released from custody.
At the time of the incident, Schlosser was out of jail on $50,000 bail in connection
with a separate domestic violence case in Riverside County from December 2016.
He has pleaded not guilty to felony charges in that case, court records show.
Schlosser, who's scheduled to appear in court in August for a pretrial hearing, has
reportedly pleaded not guilty to one count each of torture, corporal injury on a spouse,
false imprisonment and criminal threats.
He could face up to life in prison if convicted.

California is Staring Down Another 2016 - Duration: 5:42.
Hi, everyone. Alison Hartson here, running for United States Senate in California.
I want to update you about an article that just came out regarding a poll that
was just released with some pretty surprising results regarding this race
in particular. And what this can mean for our state and what it can mean for our
country is pretty dangerous. So there is a person who has risen out of nowhere,
out of left field. And, according to this poll, would win second place on June 5th
for the primary. And if you remember we have a top-two system, so really you
need first and second place and then those two people go on to the general
election. So this person who has risen in the polling -- we know that we can't
necessarily trust polls -- but it is still good to follow them to see if they're an
indication of anything. Well, this guy if if this poll is in fact an indication,
what this means is that we're going to wind up with another 2016, where our two
options, the lesser of two evils, will be between a corporatist and a white
supremacist. Let me tell you about Patrick Little. Patrick Little is running
as a Republican, and that is extremely dangerous of course because people vote
down ballot. You know, most people really do vote based on party, their party being
Democrat or largely their party being Republican, and they vote based on the
names they recognize. Most people are not voting based on policy. Most people are
not voting based on a person's record, their experience, their character what
they bring to this particular race and what they will in office. So it's no
surprise that this guy Patrick Little would be rising in the polls just
because people are like "I'm just gonna vote for a Republican." And that's why we
have to make sure that people know about this guy. Because the Republicans I know
here in California would never support someone like this. He is a white
supremacist through-and-through. A straight-up neo-Nazi.
This guy has said that he believes Jews should have no say over white non-Jews.
He supports a neo-Nazi website. He believes that Jewish people should be
removed from our country. This neo-Nazi website in particular advocates for
violence against Jews, and their kids, and their families, if they do not leave the
country and if they do not stand down against white supremacy. And the violence
that they specifically have mentioned includes murder. The murder of these
people and their families. This is this is no joke, people. This is really serious.
The votes, the elections that are coming up, really are a fight for our lives. A
fight for our future. And we have to make sure Democrats and Republicans and
Independents all across the board are very well aware of this.
He's also, this guy Little, is also a fan of Christopher Cantwell. If you're not sure
who he is, he's kind of risen in popularity as a neo-Nazi. And he, in fact,
actually was interviewed and commented on this race in regards to
Little. Let me read you a quote that he said. He says, "I have my doubts that
Holocaust revisionism polls well among Californians of any party." Therefore he
doesn't believe that Little has a chance. In other words, if California Republicans
were supportive of having another holocaust, then maybe Little would
actually win. Because Little is advocating for that, and so is Cantwell,
and neo-Nazis, and white supremacists at-large. So this guy is running for office,
rising in the polls, and could very well win on June 5th, unless we get out and
vote. This is no joking matter. We have to hit the streets. We have one month left.
And this is the time when people are paying attention to elections. So there's
a lot of good news to be had here that if we just get out there,
knock on doors and make phone calls. How do you do it? Get involved. Sign up for my
campaign. Take action. Do something every single day for just the one month that
we have left. But really, truly, if we don't want another 2016, if we are sick
and tired of having the lesser of two evils, if we don't want to wind up
with having to vote between a corporatist and a white supremacist, we
have got to spread the word and we have got to get out that vote. Like our life
depends on it. This is our chance for redemption, everybody. This is our chance
to get it right. We finally have people all across the country.
Look at the Justice Democrats slate. Look at the Brand New Congress slate.
We finally have people we can vote for. We finally have some real, true
options. Some real hope. But we also have, at the same time, the extreme opposite
of that. And so we have to get involved and take this back and do every single thing
we can. Go to my website: AlisonHartson.com. Sign up to volunteer and follow
through. Again, let's take it back, let's have some redemption, and let's get it
right this time.

BREAKING NEWS Out Of California…
IT'S HAPPENING NOW!!!
The world's largest active geyser has erupted three times in the past six weeks at Yellowstone
National Park, including once this week, in a pattern that is highly unusual, according
to geologists.
And scientists cannot explain what is causing the geyser to erupt.
One thing all scientists can agree on is that, as they've repeatedly told us before, the
supervolcano churning below the serene scenery in Wyoming is not going to erupt anytime soon.
We shouldn't be taking any of the anomalies to mean as much either.According to Reuters,
the Steamboat Geyser, which can shoot water as high as 300 feet (91 meters) into the air,
erupted on March 15, April 19 and on Friday.
The last time it erupted three times in a year was in 2003, the U.S. Geological Survey's
Yellowstone Volcano Observatory said.
The last time it erupted prior to March was more than three years ago in September 2014.
As always, there's nothing to worry about.
"There is nothing to indicate that any sort of volcanic eruption is imminent," Michael
Poland, the scientist in charge for the observatory, said in an email.
This year's eruptions have been smaller than a usual Steamboat eruption, but the two
in April were about 10 times larger than an eruption at the park's famed Old Faithful
Geyser in terms on the amount of water discharged, he said.
Geologists have not pinpointed a reason for the latest series of eruptions, but say they
could indicate a thermal disturbance in the geyser basin, or that Steamboat may be having
smaller eruptions instead of one large.
–Since most geysers do not erupt on a regular schedule, "it might just reflect the randomness
of geysers," Poland said.
While the Steamboat eruptions are unusual, what would be far more worrying would be the
water in the hydrothermal systems drying up, which could indicate that the super hot magma
deep below was making its way to the surface -and an eruption could occur.

Why Didn't The Police Ticket The Other Driver? – California Injury Attorney Frank Nunes explains - Duration: 3:41.
You were just injured in a car crash where the other driver clearly ran the red light,
but was speeding.
Why didn't that driver get a ticket from the officer when they arrived?
Hi.
I'm Frank Nunes.
I'm a California personal injury trial attorney practicing in the state of California.
Join me as we answer that question.
So many times, clients come to my office and they say, "I know the other driver ran the
red light.
I know he or she was speeding.
I know they made an improper turn, but the officer didn't give them a citation," and
that frustrates them to no end.
Why does that happen?
Well, in California, most often the law requires that the officer observe the crime committed
in his or her presence, particularly in traffic cases when the violation such as running a
red light, speeding, or make an improper left turn is an infraction.
It must be committed in the officer's presence under the criminal standards in order for
that conviction to hold up in the criminal traffic courts.
That's why a lot of times when the officer gets there, the cars have already been in
their places of rest after the collision.
One party says the other party ran the red light.
The other party may admit it or may dispute it, but the officer looks at it and says,
"Well, I didn't see either party run the red light, so I can't issue a citation for it."
Even if a citation is issued, it isn't always the end-all, be-all.
While the issuance of a citation to a driver can give rise to a presumption of negligence
in California, it's not necessarily required to proceed with a civil case against the careless
driver.
On the other hand, certain offenses are more serious if they rise to the level above an
infraction, which is a misdemeanor, which typically in California is a crime or offense
punishable by up to one year in jail.
Then, the officer does not necessarily have to see it committed in his or her presence
to issue a citation.
The most common example of this is a crash caused by an impaired driver.
The officer will arrive at the scene, take statements from the parties, form a reasonable
suspicion that one of the drivers involved may or may not have been impaired and then
begin to question and investigate that potentially impaired driver to a higher level to determine
if, in fact, that person was impaired at the time of the collision.
In those situations, the officer will arrest that person for driving under the influence
if there is probable cause to do so.
Felonies, the largest, most serious offense in California, crimes that are punishable
by over a year, those can be arrested whether or not committed in the officer's presence.
Well, that's it for a brief overview of why the officer didn't cite the at-fault driver.
