Auto news on Youtube May 2 2018

- Whassup, crazies?

It's your girl, LaToya Forever and my husband, Adam.

- What's goin' on, everyone?

Adam here, let's get this rating going

what we doin'? - Adam won't lose.

And in today's video my husband

yeah, this is my

("Pony" by Ginuwine)

love you - Love you, too.

- You look nice. - You look good, too.

- Thank you, babe.

In today's video my hubby will be rating

my Fashion Nova outfits.

- Fashion Nova, fashion. - Yeah.

- Everywhere you look, Fashion Nova.

- Fashion Nova, it's takin' over the world.

I saw Meet the Vloggers, Laila and Yasmin.

I love them, they did a video where Laila rated Yasmin's

Fashion Nova outfits and I'm like,

"Yo! I need to get my hubby

"to rate my Fashion Nova outfits."

So, click the link in the bio to check out

their version of the video.

On a scale from one to 10,

one being the worst,

10 being the best.

Okay? - Okay.

I am not the best when it comes to like,

describing the outfit,

but I can definitely do a rank.

I'll give my insight, but I'm not that great

with all these fashion terms.

- Let's jump right into it.

(humming)

Whatchu' think?

The white two-piece, y'know?

I love matching sets, you guys.

The jean jacket over it, you can wear it on,

you can wear it off the shoulder.

- I feel like this is an Instagram photo.

Such an Instagram look.

- How 'bout you go to Atlanta and see how the girls

dress out there?

Then come back to me, awright?

- You sure?

Can I take that next flight to Atlanta by myself

to go look at these girls?

- We, well we goin' together.

to look at these girls. - You just gave me

the green light to go look at these girls in Atlanta.

(laughing) You straight up, are you sure

you wanna do that? - Listen.

This is a cute outfit,

y'know I'm gettin' ready. - Home of the peaches!

- For Atlanta. - Ya feel me?

- Yes! The peach!

Anyways, on a scale from one to 10?

- On a scale of one to 10,

give it a 6.7.

- 6.7?

- Yeah.

- Awright.

Heeeyyyyyy!

Thoughts?

- Y'know what, the quality is

up there, man. - Yeah, good quality.

- It's up there.

It's not like. - Cheap.

- Yeah. It looks,

it looks, it looks, high designer,

so kudos to them.

- Yep.

But the look? The style.

- I think, - The feel.

- I think you rocked it really well.

I'm gonna give it a strong 7.7.

- Thank you, with my, what kinda shoes on?

- Yeah. (laughing)

It's such a social media outfit.

- Are you crazy?

I would wear this

on the street. - You would.

- Put on some black like booties with it.

- I just don't, I personally have not seen

people dress up like this.

I know they probably do,

but it's like it's very rare. - So then people just don't

have swag then in real life, is what you're saying.

The only swag people have is when they're on Instagram?

- Correct.

- All right.

Well we gonna swag out in real life then.

Heeeeyyyyy!

- Woah.

- Fashion Nova they're known for their jeans.

- Yeah, this seems like a more

typical outfit. - Every day.

- You would see people dress like this

at the Cheesecake Factory.

(laughing)

I see you pushing a cart, baby cart with that

- Yeah.

- Shoppin'. - Yeah.

- I'm gonna give this one a good eight point,

8.4. - Okay, so you're rating

looks based on if I can wear it in real life?

- These are my standards.

- Take off your sunglasses, bruh.

I can't see your eyes.

There we go. - It makes no difference!

You just now, just went to 8.2.

Because of that.

Shoulda let me keep it on.

(drumming)

It's crazy, 'cause it's like you planned this out.

This is a nine.

- What?!

This is see-through!

I'm surprised that you gave it a nine.

You liked it? - I like the outfit.

- This is my least favorite so far.

I feel so angelic in it, in this all white.

I can't wait to wear all white when we have our wedding.

Our five year is coming up,

next year - Right.

- So we need to plan a wedding.

- Right.

- Thoughts?

- Will there be thoughts?

(laughing)

Back to the outfit,

your toenails are white,

everything is white,

it just looks clean!

It just looks like, clean look.

It has nothing to do.

This coulda' been sleeveless,

I dunno, I just, I like the pants.

I would, I would wear

(drumming)

- Trust me, I hate this outfit.

So listen to this,

I was on Instagram browsing around

and I saw.

- Go back. Go home.

- (laughing) And I saw Angela Simmons in this outfit

and she looked good.

Listen to me, I have to post a picture of her

in the outfit, okay?

Why does she look bomb in this outfit

and I look dumb?

I don't understand, I look so stupid!

I look like our drapes here.

- I would look better in that than you, go.

- You wanna try it on?

- Minus 17. - Right?

Okay, so I don't know if I like this outfit together,

I just didn't wanna go upstairs

and get like black denim jeans to wear with this.

- Right, right, right.

- But I really love the top, okay this is.

- The pants is from Fashion Nova, too?

- Yeah, the pants are from Fashion Nova,

it has a black top to match it.

But I wanted to show this top off,

'cause it's cute, I like it.

- Got that early '90 vibes. - Yeah.

Do you like the outfit?

- I'm tryin' to figure out a rating for it.

I think the outfit is good,

it's nice.

I'm gonna give it a strong 7.5.

- 7.5?

So you actually,

so you like the outfit?

So you would go outside with me rocking this outfit,

just like this?

- I like the outfit,

that's all I'm sayin', okay?

Again it's - Where can you picture

me wearing this outfit to?

- A theme type of event.

- Right. Like a Afrobeat,

like African 'ting, like a Caribbean vibe,

y'know what I'm sayin', like. (singing)

- Sure.

- This is my favorite.

- Is it?

- Yeah, I like it.

It's so. - Those pants look

so comfortable. - Yeah, they are comfortable.

The material is so. - Like it probably

feels like you're just wearing air.

- Yeah, feel it.

It's so good quality.

- Oh, yeah.

- And this top, it came as a matching set.

The quality's so. - With this?

- No, not with this, with the biker shorts.

It's so thick.

It's like double layered.

- Mmhmm.

- I love it.

It's so comfortable.

- In terms of rating.

- Oh, look.

You know what I'm sayin'?

- Social media post right here.

I mean if it's your favorite outfit, what do you rate it?

- I rate this outfit a 9.5,

just because I feel so. - 9.5?

- Because I feel so comfortable in it.

I'm comfortable.

I have to feel comfortable,

I have to look good in it. - 9.5?!

- Yes!

- Wow!

- Because I can wear this. - But, wait.

- Every single day, right?

Literally, I would wear this every single day.

Challenge me.

- C'mon, man!

I ain't doin' these ones.

You didn't rate it.

- You should've just said 10.

Anyways, thank you so much for watching this video.

- Like, comment, subscribe y'all.

- Yes! Like, comment, and subscribe!

We've been super consistent on this channel,

I've been pumpin' out videos every single week.

Anyways, thank you for watching, love you guys.

CCAD 2018 Fashion Show Preview - Duration: 6:24.

MUSIC

>>> THE CCAD ANNUAL FASHION SHOW

IS REALLY THE CULMINATION OF THE

STUDENTS' FOUR YEARS WORTH OF

STUDYING AND THEIR ENTRY INTO

THE WORLD OF PROFESSIONAL

FASHION DESIGN.

GOT A LITTLE BIT SMALLER GROUP

THIS YEAR.

WE GOT ABOUT 15 STUDENTS, ONE

MASTERS STUDENT.

AND IT'S A REALLY WIDE OF WORK

THOUGH IN THAT 15.

WE'VE GOT SOME MORE CONCEPTUAL

PIECES.

>> I WANT TO MAKE ART THAT'S

WEARABLE.

WELL, I WAS LOOKING FOR AN

UNIQUE FIBER, AN UNIQUE TEXTUAL

SO I WAS THINKING WHAT I WAS

GONNA USE FOR MY THESIS THIS

YEAR, WHAT FABRIC IS GONNA

REALLY INSPIRE ME AND LET'S BE

DIFFERENT AND I LANDED ON HAIR.

FOR MY LINE, FEATURES KANEKALON

HAIR WHICH IS A SYNTHETIC FIBER

THAT'S VERY POPULAR AMONG BLACK

WOMEN.

BEEN USED FOR DECADES AND I

MYSELF WAS BRAIDING WITH THE

HAIR YEARS.

THE ONE THAT I REALLY LIKE ABOUT

THIS COLLECTION TOO IS THE

ATTRACTION FROM WOMEN.

I FEEL LIKE WOMEN COME UP TO

THIS COLLECTION, AND YOU KNOW,

INITIALLY IT WAS MOSTLY BLACK

INITIALLY IT WAS MOSTLY BLACK

WOMEN WAS LIKE "I KNOW THAT

HAIR, I'VE USED THAT HAIR."

>> YOU KNOW, CERTAINLY

CONCEPTUAL WORK I THINK PEOPLE

ARE INSPIRED BY AND THEN IT

TRANSLATE INTO WHAT YOU'RE GOING

TO FIND, BUT IT'S REALLY KIND OF

PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES AND, YOU

KNOW, MAKING PEOPLE TAKE CHANCES

MAYBE USING UNUSUAL MATERIALS OR

USING REGULAR MATERIALS IN AN

UNUSUAL WAY.

SO, ABOUT TEN YEARS AGO WE

INSTITUTED A JURY PROGRAM.

SO ALL THE GARMENTS ARE JURIED

ABOUT A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS,

INDUSTRY INDIVIDUALS, AND THEY

CHOOSE WHAT'S GONNA BE SEEN ON

THE RUNWAY.

SO, THAT MAKES IT A LOT MORE

COMPETITIVE.

STUDENTS KNOW THAT THE WORK HAS

TO BE AT A CERTAIN LEVEL TO BE

ON STAGE.

WE USUALLY HAVE ABOUT SEVEN AND

NINE JURORS RATE THE GARMENTS

AND SAY IF IT'S IN OR OUT AND

YOU HAVE GET A MAJORITY OF YES

VOTES TO GET THAT GARMENT IN.

>> THIS YEAR THERE WAS ONE

PARTICULAR DESIGNER THAT

COMPLETELY FLOORED ME.

WHEN HER COLLECTION OUT, I MEAN

IT WAS SOMETHING UNIQUE WHICH IS

WHAT I LOOK FOR.

IT WAS SOMETHING JUST

JAW-DROPPING WHEN IT ACTUALLY

CAME ONTO THE RUNWAY.

IT WAS A HUGE STATEMENT.

IT WAS REALLY JUST GREAT.

IT WAS REALLY MY AESTHETIC AS

WELL.

IT'S KIND OF TATTERED BUT AT THE

SAME TIME VERY STRUCTURED WHICH

I THINK IS KIND OF HARD TO

SOMETIMES.

DID NOT LOOK LIKE A DESIGN

STUDENT DID IT.

YOU CAN TELL ALL THE WORK AND

DETAIL THAT WENT INTO IT.

EVEN FROM AFAR, YOU COULD SEE

ALL THE TEXTURES WHICH REALLY

IMPRESSED ME AS SOON AS I SAW

IT.

>> IT'S KNITTING, BUT NOT REALLY

LIKE TRADITIONAL WAY.

I WAS INSPIRED BY BAROQUE AND

ROCOCO TIMES, ARCHITECTURAL --

ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURES.

FOR EXAMPLE, THAT ONE, LIKE THE

DRESS, THE BOTTOM PART WAS LIKE

SINGLE STRIPES I KNEAD USING

THAT MACHINE AND THEN I HAND

BRAID THEM TOGETHER AND USE THE

SEWING MACHINE TO ATTACH THEM

TOGETHER.

>> WE HAVE ONE STUDENTS THAT

USED VICTORIA ANNA AND FETISH

WEAR AS INSPIRATION, SO THAT'S

GONNA BE WILD.

WE'VE GOT SOME CHILDREN'S WEAR.

WE'VE GOT TWO GROUPS OF

CHILDREN'S WEAR.

AND ONE OF OUR STUDENTS HAS DONE

ADAPTIVE WEAR FOR CHILDREN SO

THAT'S EXCITING.

>> I WAS BORN WITH AMNIOTIC BAND

SYNDROME, SO MY LEFT ARM DIDN'T

DEVELOP PAST THE ELBOW, SO

LEARNING TO SEW WAS REALLY HARD.

I KIND OF KNEW HOW TO SEW WHEN I

STARTED HERE, BUT JUST BY HAND

OR ON A DOMESTIC MACHINE, BUT I

FEEL LIKE ONE I OVERCAME JUST

LEARNING HOW TO PLACE THE FABRIC

ON THE MACHINE AND HOW TO HOLD

IT DOWN TO THE MACHINE WITHOUT

LOSING IT, ONCE I OVERCAME THAT

IT WAS SO MUCH EASIER.

NOW IT'S NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL.

BUT, I KNEW THAT THE INDUSTRY

THAT I JUST FELT LEFT OUT BY.

NONE OF MY CLOTHES EVER FIT

RIGHT.

THEY WEREN'T COMFORTABLE, THEY

WEREN'T CUTE.

SO, I WANTED TO CHANGE THAT.

I DECIDED THAT FASHION SHOULD BE

INCLUSIVE FOR EVERYBODY.

SO, I THOUGHT MAYBE IF I WENT

INTO FASHION, IT COULD BE

INCLUSIVE.

SO, I DID ADAPTIVE KID'S WEAR,

SO THAT MEANS EACH OUTFIT IS

ADAPTED TO FIT THE FUNCTION FOR

THE CHILD THAT HAS A SPECIAL

NEED.

SO, THE PIECE THAT BROUGHT WITH

ME TODAY IS FOR, HER NAME IS

JOHANNA, SHE HAS AMNIOTIC BAND

SYNDROME LIKE ME.

SO, WHEN WE WENT THOUGH THE

FIRST INTERVIEW HER MOM SAID

THAT SHE CAN'T BUTTON THINGS BY

HERSELF, SO IN THE FRONT OF THE

SHIRT, WHERE THE PLACKET, WHERE

THE BUTTONS WOULD BE, I PUT

MAGNETS ON THE INSIDE AND THEN I

SEWED SEW BUTTONS ON TOP SO THAT

SHE CAN DO IT BY HERSELF.

IT'S DEFINITELY A MARKET THAT

REALLY HASN'T BEEN TAPPED INTO

AND I DEFINITELY THINK IS THE

TIME TO START MOVING FORWARD

WITH THAT.

>> I THOUGHT THIS YEAR WAS

AWESOME.

EVERY YEAR IT GETS BETTER AND

BETTER.

IT'S SO EXCITING TO SEE ALL THE

UNIQUE TALENT, ALL THE YOUNG

TALENT, YOU KNOW SHOWING STUFF

THAT I'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.

SO, THIS YEAR I THINK IS GONNA

BE REALLY IMPRESSIVE.

THERE'S MANY DIFFERENT

VARIATIONS OF LOOKS.

IT WAS ALL OVER THE BOARD.

BUT, IT'S DEFINITELY GREAT TO

HAVE SUCH A WIDE VARIETY OF

DESIGNERS HERE AT COLUMBUS.

CCAD DEFINITELY PRODUCES THAT.

How to dress for uni | Practical fashion at UON - Duration: 3:08.

Ok, oh my gosh, Layla.

I need your help with this presentation.

I don't know what to wear.

What if it's too hot, or too cold, and all I've ever known is a uniform, and

Hey, hey Gabe it's ok.

Yak has got your back.

Here's what you, and you can wear to UON to be practical and comfy all day long.

Let's start with the skin, because in this harsh environment you need to make sure you're

protecting yourself against the elements.

The harshest of all of course being…

The mosquitos!

The sun!

I dunno have you seen the mosquitos here.

One word people, Aeroguard.

Go to the student hub to get some if you don't have any.

Oh, seriously, even on overcast days, the UV index can still be high enough to damage

your skin.

So sunscreen is a must while you're out and about on campus.

Keeping some in your bag is also a good idea just in case you need to reapply during the

day, or maybe help out a bud, who may have forgotten to slip slop slap.

Thank you.

Now that we're protected against the sun, and the mosquito infestation, lets go check

out the…

What?

No, nope, you have to change those shoes.

Why, what's wrong with them, I love these.

They're beautiful, but they're a death trap, there is absolutely no way you can wear

those in any lab or studio space, they're completely against WH&S.

Alright then, what do you suggest I wear?

Flat sensible shoes, that are enclosed.

Really it's for your own good.

Would you rather wear these, or fall face first into a petri dish full of bacteria.

What kind of bacteria?

Gabe!

Fine!

I'd rather be safe.

Making sure you've got the right shoes also comes in handy when trying to conquer the

many steep inclines of UON's campuses.

This, is my Everest.

Well Gabe, making sure you've got some comfy shoes, like sneakers or boots, with some stretchy

clothing will make the climb easier.

At least on your feet.

Uni means classes, and classes mean long periods of time sitting in chairs.

Oh thank god.

So wearing a tight pencil skirt or pair of pants is not going to be the most comfortable

thing when you've got six hours of classes to sit through.

A stretchy pair of jeans, short, or a skater skirt are going to be your best friends in

those long three hour lectures.

This is Australia, meaning that the weather can turn at the drop of a hat.

How's this for the presentation?

No!

Did it get colder?

So, like an ogre, you should have some layers just in case the weather turns.

And get in the habit of checking the forecast for your campus before you leave home, that

way you can dress accordingly and maybe take an umbrella, just in case.

Above all, dress for comfort, and comfort is subjective, so if what makes you confident

and comfortable is loud and out there, then absolutely rock it.

I'm gonna rock this presentation.

I'm Gabe.

And I'm Layla.

And you're watching Yak TV.
