North Korea SURROUNDED: US warships, bombers, missiles and 80,000 soldiers READY

NORTH Korea is nearly totally surrounded by a wall of US warships, bombers and missiles

with more than 80,000 soldiers on alert as Donald Trump heads for Asia.

The US President is jetting into the Pacific this week for a whistle-stop tour of the nations

surrounding North Korea.

Trump will be popping in for one-on-one meetings with the leaders of China, South Korea and

Japan – with Kim Jong-un's nukes right at the top of the agenda.

At his back with be a the world's biggest military war machine – poised to strike

should the crisis go south with North Korea.

He visited the US Pacific Command just days ago – who will oversee every single vessel,

plane and soldier sitting in a ring of steel around Kim.

Daily Star Online can now reveal the monstrous arsenal at Trump's fingertips as he faces

down North Korea.

US forces have been packing into the region as the tensions are set to snap with North

Korea over its quest for ICBM.

Three US aircraft carriers are currently operating in the Pacific in an colossal flex of Trump's

military biceps.

USS Nimitz, USS Theodore Roosevelt and USS Ronald Reagan became the first trio of carriers

to operate in the region for a decade.

Each of these three warship bring with it a fully stocked wing of up to 90 warplanes

and choppers.

While steaming alongside are their escorts of destroyers and submarines making up the

US's mighty carrier strike groups.

The US's 7th Fleet has its headquarters in Japan – and brings up to 70 ships and

submarines under its command, including 14 missile-packed destroyers.

Just this week, a squadron of 12 F-35 fighter planes screamed over the Pacific and landed

at their new base in Japan.

More than 100 bases are scattered across the islands, with around 50,000 servicemen stationed

there.

Meanwhile, right on Kim's doorstep there are more than 30,000 US soldiers stations

in bases in South Korea.

More than 300 tanks are stationed just a stone's throw from North Korea, along with armoured

vehicles and artillery.

And then there is the thorn in Kim's side Guam, which he regularly threatened to launch

missiles at.

The island paradise hides the US's fleet of nuclear-capable B-2 bombers, as well bunk

busting B-1B Lancers.

Colossal B-52 Stratofortress warplanes also can bee seen rolling around Andersen Air Force

Base.

Each of these is capable of carrying 70,000 lbs of bombs and 20 cruise missiles.

Tensions have reached new heights as Trump makes his first ever visit to Asia – with

Kim threatening to fire the "Juche Bird".

The missile would fly a live nuclear warhead into the heart of the Pacific and explode,

a provocation that could start World War 3.

Trump will be in Asia until November 13 – finishing his tour with trips to Vietnam and the Philippines.

How to Pronounce SCHEDULE (US, UK & Australian pronunciation) | English Pronunciation - Duration: 1:45.

Hi everyone. I just have a short video for you here on the pronunciation of the

word "schedule" (SKedule) ... or "schedule" (SHedule).

I'd just like to point out, in case you haven't seen any of my videos before,

that I'm Australian, but I don't have a strong Australian accent. I know that

it's caused a bit of confusion. My accent is what one might call quite "neutral", and

my pronunciation, I'll say it again, is quite close to British pronunciation. But

now let's look at this word. In standard American English it's pronounced:

"SKedule". "SKedule". In British English it's: "SHedule". "SHedule". In Australia I

actually think it's more common to say "SKedule", which is a bit strange because

normally we follow British rules, but occasionally there are exceptions, and I,

in any case, normally say "SKedule". So if you're learning English, either one of

these is correct. I hope you found this useful. If you did, please click on the

thumbs up. Don't forget you can follow me on social media, and I'll see you next time.

Bye bye.

Iranian students storm U.S. embassy - 11/4/1979 - Duration: 1:16.

Today in military history, 1979.

Iranian students stormed the US Embassy in Tiran,

taking more than 60 American hostages.

During the Iranian Revolution, the Shah was overthrown

and forced to flee the country.

President Jimmy Carter allowed the pro-western autocrat

to come to the United States for cancer treatment.

A group of Iranian students then stormed the US Embassy

and took hostages,

protesting American involvement in Iran's affairs.

After the student takeover, President Carter ordered

an embargo of Iranian oil,

which only made the ongoing energy crisis even worse.

It caused an extreme spike in gas prices,

which produced a ripple effect across

the global automobile industry.

President Carter severed diplomatic relations

with the new Iranian government

and launched a failed rescue mission,

which forced him to resume negotiations

for the hostages' safe return.

Iran refused Carter and finally released

the Americans moments after newly elected president,

Ronald Reagan, finished his inaugural address.

Russia says there is NO co-operation with United States over North Korea war threat - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:28.

Russia says there is NO co-operation with US over North Korea war threat

RUSSIA has claimed they are not co-operating with the US over the North Korea crisis as

fears escalate over World War 3.

Tensions have escalated between the US and Kim Jong-un's regime after a series of reckless

missile tests.

But President Donald Trump and Russian Premier Vladimir Putin have not yet addressed the

issue together.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "There is no co-operation so far.

Only periodic exchanges of views."

The pair will meet at an Asian economic summit in Vietnam next week and there is a "great

possibility" they will tackle the issue.

North Korea today warned its nuclear arsenal is in its "final stage" as Kim rules out

talks with the US.

A chilling commentary from the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says: "It (the

US) had better stop daydreaming of denuclearisation talks with us.

It comes as Trump sets off on a whirlwind tour of Asia to discuss North Korea's nukes

with diferent leaders.

He is due to visit Vietnam on November 9 and 10 during his 10-day tour, which kicked off

with a trip to Pearl Harbour in Hawaii yesterday.

Trump previously warned the communist state of a "very unpleasant" outcome should talks

to resolve the crisis fail, but stressed he will endevour to find a solution.

Putin ordered two nuclear bombers to fly towards a US aircraft carrier stationed near North

Korea in a brazen display of his air power last week.

Two F/A-18 fighter jets scrambled to escort the Russian TU-95 bombers away from the warship

on Sunday, US defence officials said.

Trump has sent three aircraft carriers – the USS Ronald Reagan, USS Theodore Roosevelt

and USS Nimitz – to the region.

United States fears North Korea will fire NUKE as greeting present for Trump - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:27.

US fears North Korea will fire NUKE as greeting present for Trump

TOP White House officials have warned that Kim Jong-un may launch a nuclear bomb when

US President Donald Trump visits the communist leader's most hated enemies this month.

There are huge concerns that tubby tyrant Kim will carry out a missile test in a bid

to goad the Donald during either his visit to Japan or South Korea.

The US supremo has fired aggressive taunts Kim's way, including his bold threat to

unleash "fire and fury" against the North.

Patrick Cronin, senior director of the Asia-Pacific Security Programme, said the US needed to

be prepared for a reckless act from Pyongyang.

He added: "The biggest challenge may be crisis management.

We have to be ready for how we deal with the unexpected."

Adam Mount, a senior fellow at the Federation of American Scientists, said: "I wouldn't

be surprised in the slightest to see North Korea do a missile test during the trip."

But Kim's mouthpiece has been keen to blame any future conflict on the Trump's administration,

calling it "gangster-like".

KCNA fumed: "The reality clearly shows that the gangster-like US imperialists are the

very ones who are aggravating the situation of the Korean Peninsula and seeking to ignite

a nuclear war."

Pyongyang previously warned its nuclear arsenal is in its "final stage" after Kim ruled

out talks with the US.

The fiery rhetoric comes as tensions escalate between the hermit kingdom and the West.

Last week, the regime held extremely rare mass evacuations and blackout drills in preparation

for an imminent war.

Kim has carried out six nuclear missile tests this year and the US and its allies have since

stepped up military drills in the region.

'Don't underestimate US' Trump ramps up pressure on North Korea as WW3 fears mount - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:34.

'Don't underestimate US' Trump ramps up pressure on North Korea as WW3 fears mount

DONALD Trump piled pressure on North Korean leader Kim Jong-un when he arrived in Japan,

warning "no dictator" should underestimate the US.

The US president kicked off his 12-day Asian tour to present a united front with Japanese

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe amid tensions with the hermit kingdom over its nuclear and missile

tests.

Trump has rattled some allies with his vow to "totally destroy" North Korea if he

threatens the US and his dismissal of tyrant Kim as a "rocket man" on a suicide mission.

Today the Donald told hundreds of US and Japanese troops "No dictator, no regime, no nation

should ever underestimate American resolve".

He added: "Every once in a while, in the past, they underestimated us.

It was not pleasant for them, was it?"

Pyongyang has put the US and its allies on high alert after it fired several missiles

over Japan, which prompted Trump to step up military drills in the region.

Recently the US sent two strategic bombers over South Korea, which further raised tensions

with the secretive North.

Trump said: "We will never yield, never waver and never falter in defence of our freedom."

On Air Force One he added that a decision would be made soon on whether to add North

Korea to a list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Pyongyang is known to have developed strong ties with Iran, which the US claims exports

terrorists and funds radical Islamic jihadis across the Middle East.

Trump said he wanted his government to take a different approach to dealing with issues

after years of what he called "total weakness".

He added: "We want to get it solved.

It's a big problem for our country and the world, and we want to get it solved."

North Korea WARNING: Rogue state ready to strike US with THERMONUCLEAR weapons - Duration: 3:36.

North Korea WARNING: Rogue state ready to strike US with THERMONUCLEAR weapons

NORTH KOREA is "on the verge" of developing nuclear weapons that could hit the continental

United States, former US ambassador John Bolton warned.

North Korea could be able to strike the United States with nuclear weapons in the near future

if China fails to intervene and deal with the rogue state.

Despite international warnings, North Korea has upped its aggressive rhetoric against

the US and its Asian allies, sparking fears World War 3 could be declared at any moment.

Mr Bolton warned the US might face all-out war if President Donald Trump fails to solidify

the military partnership with China, North Korea's only ally in Asia.

He said: "There is no more time to deal with North Korea.

They are on the verge of getting a deliverable capability to hit us with thermonuclear weapons

anywhere in the continental United States.

"It's really time for China to tell us whether they are serious or not about this otherwise

the President is going to have to look to act unilaterally to protect the American civilian

population."

The former US ambassador to the UN said China would play a major role in re-establishing

a diplomatic discussion between North Korea and the international community.

Speaking to Fox News, Mr Bolton added: "China has been jiving the United States for 25 years.

They said repeatedly they don't want North Korea to have nuclear weapons but they have

not followed through on their unique capability to force North Korea to that.

"They upped the sanctions temporarily and then when the US turns its eyes away, it's

back to business as usual.

That's why this trip to China by President Trump is so important."

President Trump kickstarted his tour of Asia with a brief visit to the USS Arizona Memorial

in Pearl Harbour to commemorate the victims of the Japanese attack that drew the US into

World War 2.

The trip, the longest tour of Asia by a US president in 25 years, comes at a time of

heightened tension between Washington and Pyongyang.

The sabre-rattling between Mr Trump and Kim Jong-un amid the fears of World War 3 has

been a cause of concern around the world.

Malcolm Davis, a senior analyst with the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, warned war could

begin within the year.

He said: "We have to prepare for that possibility, perhaps, within the next 12 months.

"I think the ideal solution would be for China to deal with Kim Jong-un and his regime decisively.

They certainly have it in their interests to ensure the regime or North Korea doesn't

collapse.

That doesn't necessarily mean Kim Jong-un has to be at the head of that regime.

South Korean intelligence found North Korea is ready to carry out yet another nuclear

test despite suffering major damage to its main testing facility in Punggye-ri.

Seoul's National Intelligence Service said: "There is a possibility of a new missile launch

given the active movement of vehicles around the missile research institute in Pyongyang."

Recent tests carried out at Punggye-ri in early September registered as a 5.7 magnitude

earthquake by the South Korean government.

US Maintains Upper Hand in Sea Dominance With Release of New Stealth Sub - Duration: 2:47.

When the USS South Dakota officially joins the U.S. Navy's fleet in 2018, it'll be

more than just another vessel created to protect the lives and freedom of Americans.

It's touted to be the most advanced submarine on earth, CNN reports.

The South Dakota, a Virginia-class submarine, is going to be among the quietest of the quiet,

because when comes to submarines, stealth is key.

A submarine's strategic value is derived from its ability to move wherever it has to

without being tracked — if a submarine is unable to navigate enemy waters to do reconnaissance,

attack, or deliver personnel, its worth is greatly deteriorated.

However, submarines that are quiet and capable they can be some of the most dangerous weapons

in any nation's arsenal

Virginia-class submarines are among the best.

"Virginia-class submarines are built to operate in the world's littoral and deep

waters while conducting anti-submarine warfare; anti-surface ship warfare; strike warfare;

special operation forces support; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; irregular

warfare; and mine warfare missions," the United States Navy said in a statement.

"Their inherent stealth, endurance, mobility, and firepower directly enable them to support

five of the six maritime strategy core capabilities – sea control, power projection, forward

presence, maritime security, and deterrence."

The South Dakota is reportedly the 17th Virginia-class submarine, and it is going to pave the way

for continued U.S. naval dominance for decades to come.

"Lessons learned from South Dakota will be incorporated into… later Virginia Class

submarines, increasing our undersea domain advantage and ensuring our dominance through

the mid-century and beyond," Naval Sea Systems Command Spokeswoman Colleen O'Rourke said

according to Scout Warrior.

The South Dakota will join a Navy fleet working hard to maintain its underwater lead over

China and Russia.

According to CNN, recent advances made by the two powers have sparked concern about

the continuance of undersea dominance, and submarines like the soon-to-be-commissioned

USS South Dakota are exactly what America needs to keep rival nations in check.

With all that's going in the world, America needs the best navy on earth.

We have it, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

war threat.

(All times BST) 11.40am: North Korea sharpens "nuclear treasure

sword"

The North's state-run KCNA news agency warned that Pyongyang is sharpening its "nuclear

treasure sword" as it enters the "final stage for completing nuclear deterrence".

"Our self-defensive nuclear treasure sword will be sharpened evermore unless the US hostile

policy toward the DPRK is abolished once and for all", it said.

KCNA said the US should give up the "absurd idea" that North Korea would give up its

nuclear weapons programme in the face of international pressure and sanctions.

"It had better stop daydreaming of denuclearisation talks with us," the commentary said.

11.30am: Trump to play golf with Japanese Prime Minister

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is set to play golf and sit down to a steak dinner

of Seoul's US Embassy.

10am: North Korea accuses US of "gangster-like" warmongering

North Korea's state-run KCNA new agency said: "The gangster-like U.S. imperialists

are ceaselessly resorting to their frantic nuclear threat and blackmail to stifle North

Korea with nukes at any cost."

"The reality clearly shows that the gangster-like U.S. imperialists are the very one who is

aggravating the situation of the Korean peninsula and seeking to ignite a nuclear war."

Pyongyang said US bombers, which took off from Andersen Air Force Base on Guam, flew

"into South Korea again to stage a surprise nuclear strike drill targeting North Korea"

this week.

7.45pm: North Korea slams US-led 'brutal sanctions'

The North Korean mission to the UN has called for a halt to what it called "brutal sanctions",

saying the measures - imposed after its latest nuclear test - constituted genocide.

"Today the U.S.-led racket of brutal sanctions and pressure against the DPRK constitutes

contemporary human rights violation and genocide," it said.

North Korea said the sanctions regime "threatens and impedes the enjoyment by the people of

DPRK of their human rights in all sectors".

6pm: USA warns that North Korea threatens the 'entire world'

US National Security Adviser HR McMaster, warned that "time is running out" to counter

the nuclear threat posed by North Korea.

Liberals Outraged Once They See US Emissions Are Lower Despite Leaving Paris Agreement - Duration: 4:48.

When President Donald Trump walked away from the Paris Agreement, we were promised almost

instant doom by climate change alarmists.

From the way they talked, it almost seemed like walking away from the voluntary framework

(which followed the Kyoto Protocol, an even-more voluntary framework we never ratified) would

end in instant catastrophe.

By Christmas, polar bears would be swimming in what used to be downtown Miami.

Category 11 hurricanes would strike the American coast every three days.

We'd need to put on a gas mask to even get our mail.

It would all be a bit like the Dead Kennedys' "Moon Over Marin," just without Jello

Biafra's annoying vocals.

Well, the near-term catastrophe hasn't happened, in part because it's hyperbole I just concocted.

However, the long-term catastrophe envisioned by activists doesn't seem to be materializing

the way it was supposed to, either.

In fact, emissions in the United States are lower even though we didn't sign onto Kyoto

and are pulling out of Paris.

Canada — an enthusiastic supporter of both voluntary frameworks — has instead seen

carbon emission reductions miss targets by a preposterously wide margin.

First, let's look at Canada, the land that hipsters love to hold out as like the best

country ever until conservatives start dragging out facts (at which point the conversation

quickly turns to whether Niki Minaj can be safely appreciated in an unironic fashion).

Canada had planned to cut carbon emissions by 17 percent between 2005 and the present,

The Globe and Mail reports.

As it turns out, that number came out to a little more like 2 percent.

"It's a bit of a paradox, here," Angel Gurria, secretary-general of the Organization

for Economic Co-operation and Development, told reporters Wednesday.

"In Canada, you have a situation where you have a very strong political will to reduce,

but effectively it has not gone on the planned road."

As for the United States?

Well, the Energy Information Administration reports that emissions in the United States

fell 12 percent during the same period, in spite of the fact that it never ratified the

Kyoto Protocol and, in the Trump presidency, wants no part of the Paris Agreement.

"In the United States, you have a government that has pulled out of the (Paris) agreement,

but in the United States you are having a reduction in emissions," Gurria noted.

So, wait, you don't need to be part of a flawed agreement that economically handicaps

American workers — and where some of the biggest polluters in the world don't even

have to "accede to international monitoring and verification of its emissions," as Politico

noted about China — to reduce carbon emissions?

Golly gee, the left said that was impossible.

How do you pull that one off, Wally?

Well, let's just say Al Gore isn't going to be making "An Inconvenient Truth 3: On

the Move" about the reason we've curbed carbon emissions.

It seems that fracking — the colloquial term for oil and natural gas drilling through

hydraulic fracturing — has allowed America to capture more natural gas (and cheaper)

than ever before.

"Many of the changes in energy-related CO2 emissions in recent history have occurred

in the electric power sector because of the decreased use of coal and the increased use

of natural gas for electricity generation," the EIA's report reads.

As the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions points out, natural gas emits roughly half

the CO2 that coal does.

And, thanks to fracking, it's also cheaper than coal in some locations.

Mark Johnson, a spokesman for Environment and Climate Change Canada, issued a boilerplate

statement you've probably read in another form if you've ever read any statement by

any environmental agency apparatchik trying to explain away how things didn't quite

work.

"Whether it's forest fires in Canada, drought around the world or some of the most

powerful hurricanes in history, the evidence of climate change is all around us," Johnson

said in an emailed statement.

"This reminds us all of the need to act now."

Even Gurria, noting the "paradox" of Canada's failure to curb emissions compared to the

United States' success, praised the liberal Trudeau government for staying the course

on emissions.

"You have here a very proactive and decisive leadership moving in the direction of reduction

of emissions, and a very active participant in the Paris agreement and a very active participant

in the whole of the world's move," Gurria said.

"While at the same time, the local situation is showing that speed of reduction is not

as fast as one would have wanted."

Translation: "You guys have a great environmental policy.

Shame it's not actually working."

Trump Just Woke To HUGE News 10 Months Into His Presidency – U.S. Will Never Be The Same - Duration: 5:29.

This is how you Make America Great Again!

The United States unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in nearly 17 years during

the month of October.

While at the same time job creation continued climbing steadily after the two devastating

hurricanes in Texas and Puerto Rico hit us.

The jobless rate fell to 4.1 percent, down a tenth of a point from just a month ago,

the lowest the US economy has seen since before the dot-com bubble burst back in December

of 2000.

Job creators added 261,000 net new jobs as businesses reopened in the wake of Hurricanes

Harvey and Irma in just those areas alone.

The result showed US job markets are in good health easily bouncing back from the storms

that paused the energy hub in southeast Texas and forced millions of Floridians to have

to flee their homes back in September.

The data for that month also turned out not be as negative as was initially reported where

8,000 new jobs created rather than a loss of 33,000 positions as was predicted initially.

Now see folks?

What the US really needed wasn't so-called "Recovery Summer" fake narratives that

never came from the Barack Hussein Obama administration.

We needed a real president, one who understands business, capitalism and the American way.

All a president had to do is unlock the chains of regulations and let the American economy

and its people do their thing.

Via Politico in 2010:

Obama, Biden declare 'Recovery Summer'

Vice President Joe Biden today will kick off the Obama administration's "Recovery Summer,"

a six-week-long push designed to highlight the jobs accompanying a surge in stimulus-funded

projects to improve highways, parks, drinking water and other public works.

David Axelrod, a senior adviser to the president, said: "This summer will be the most active

Recovery Act season yet, with thousands of highly-visible road, bridge, water and other

infrastructure projects breaking ground across the country, giving the American people a

first-hand look at the Recovery Act in their own backyards and making it crystal clear

what the cost would have been of doing nothing."

Biden, President Barack Obama and other administration officials will travel to more than two dozen

Recovery Act project sites in coming weeks.

On Friday, the president will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to mark the groundbreaking of the 10,000th

Recovery Act road project to get under way.

The administration says the road improvement project in downtown Columbus is expected to

create over 300 construction jobs, and will contribute to a broader economic development

effort in the area around Nationwide Children's Hospital.

On Monday, Biden will travel to Midland, Mich., for the groundbreaking of the new Dow Kokam

advanced battery manufacturing facility – a project made possible by a $161 million Recovery

Act advanced battery grant awarded last year.

In addition to creating 1,000 construction jobs, Dow says the project will eventually

employ 800 permanent manufacturing workers.

Axelrod continued: "In the face of the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression,

Republicans in Congress chose to play politics with economic recovery and declared the Recovery

Act a failure before it even began.

They made a cynical bet that if the President fails, they win.

Democrats chose to act by tackling the crisis head-on.

Just over a year later, the Recovery Act is putting millions of Americans to work and

helping the economy grow again.

But our work is far from over:"

Kevin Smith, a spokesman for House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), responded: "The

president's trillion-dollar 'stimulus' has failed to meet his most basic promises

on job creation, and Axelrod knows that.

We've lost 3 million jobs since the 'stimulus' was enacted.

Yet another desperate sales pitch about the virtues of massive government spending and

piling up more debt on our kids and grandkids isn't going to fool anyone."

The vice president on Thursday will present Obama with a report laying out a spike in

stimulus activity this summer, and how it will contribute to a steady climb to a total

of 3.5 million Recovery Act jobs by the end of the year.

Highlights:

" Transportation: There will be six times as many highway projects underway in July

2010 as in July 2009 – projects will surge from 1,750 last summer to over 10,000 this

summer.

And while last summer we improved about 9,000 miles of highway, this summer we'll improve

over 30,000 miles – that's the equivalent of ten cross-country road trips on improved

highways.

" Clean and Drinking Water: This summer over 3,000 clean and drinking water projects

will have started versus just over 100 last summer – that's nearly 30 times as many.

Let us hope and pray that the 8 long dark years of the Barry Soetoro administration

serve as a lesson to the American voters.

It's better to vote for a candidate because of the content of his/her character and experience,
