The Dark Side of Being an Empath That You Rarely See

Empaths are typically known as the healers of the world.

They're the people whose senses are heightened, the ones that not only see the different energies

of the world, but actually feel them, experience them.

Those who are not empaths might think that this ability to feel what others feel is a

gift, but if you can convince an empath to talk about their gift,

they might tell you that it's not always sunshine and rainbows.

In fact, it's quite often not a very fun gift to possess at all.

Because of their gift, so many people rely on them for support.

Empaths are almost always trusted because they make people feel safe.

And while the empath is capable of handling the emotions of others, they also experience

quite a bit of stress because of it.

The dark side of being an empath comes in the form of having two conflicting voices

constantly roaring at each other inside of their heads.

Constantly feeling both the good and the bad, the negative and the positive, to the point

that they feel overwhelmed.

Empaths are more susceptible to the negative energies in life.

Their intense ability to feel can't get away from the deep-rooted evils that exist

in the world.

Their deep understanding of how the world exists and operates is enough to confuse and

sadden them.

What they can't understand is why this type of energy exists in the first place, if all

it does is hurt others.

The dark side of being an empath is constantly being exhausted and fatigued from the energies

you absorb.

But, you'd never know it.

Because the empath never dares break down or lose composure.

They quietly observe, acknowledge and feel.

As many others do, empaths want to be loved and accepted for who they are.

But, it is their generosity and kindness that often sees them being taken advantage of by

those who only take, never give.

Empaths are 'givers' by all means, ready to show kindness to those in need at all times.

The dark side of being an empath is not knowing that being so selfless places an incredibly

heavy burden on one's self.

Even the empaths that do recognize the burdensome nature of their selflessness often choose

to ignore it, because carrying that weight is more meaningful

than letting it fall on someone else's shoulders.

The dark side of being an empath is knowing that you willingly neglect both your body

and mind for the sake of others.

A neglect that builds over the years, eventually resulting in the need to go soul, searching

once again, a practice that we only take up when we feel completely lost.

The dark side of being an empath is knowing that even when they fall in love, they never

do so entirely.

They simply aren't capable of giving every ounce of their heart to someone else.

They know that if they tried, the intensity of the passion would most likely be too much

to handle, for themselves and their partners.

Which is why they always keep a little part of them hidden away from the rest of the world.

They keep a guard up out of necessity, even if they want nothing more than to let it down

and succumb to an overwhelming love.

The dark side of being an empath is the war that is always being waged within.

The war they wage against the sadness, the darkness, and the sorrowful side of themselves

that is always trying to rear its ugly head and lead them into self-destruction.

The only way they can fight this successfully is by learning to distinguish between emotions

that are their own, and emotional energies that are imposters,

invading from the outside.

Empaths need people who understand who they are, people they can talk to and who will

listen.

Empaths need to be able to let down the wall they've built up around their feelings so

that they can let their empathic selves do good in their own life.

Otherwise, empaths are destined to fight a war within themselves that never ends.

So, that's the dark side of being an empath that you rarely see, what do you think about

Hollys game took a shock turn when she came to the table to face chaser Shaun Wallace aka The Dark Destroyer.

The 31-year-old student from Bristol was eagerly waiting to hear if she got a question right when her competitor seemingly ripped into The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh.

Host Brad put on a Yoda accent when he asked Holly what film character said: Size matters not.

Look at me.

Judge me by my size, do you?.

Not tired of his hilarious impression, the 57-year-old then started singing Louis Armstrongs hit What A Wonderful World.

But 57-year-old quiz brain Shaun wasnt impressed with Brads imitation and muttered something inaudible under his breath.

Unsurprisingly, viewers swarmed Twitter convinced that the cheeky chaser had sworn live on air.

One person asked: Did Shaun just say sh***y on The Chase?.

"Did Shaun just say sh***y on The Chase?" Twitter Shaun Wallace I thought nearly swore, noted another.

A third slammed: What the f***, Shaun? It wasnt clear whether Shuan had made the shock expletive as the game carried on as normal.

Brad went on to reveal what answer Shaun had buzzed in.

He continued: Chasers put… Ant-man.

Ant-man, are you serious? Im losing it completely. Never a dull moment on The Chase, eh? Catch The Chase weekdays from 5pm on ITV.

Gothic/Dark Halloween Costumes + Makeup 2017 - Duration: 6:22.

Hello, fellow mortals! Happy Halloween!

For the holiday I decided to compose a few costume ideas out of various clothing articles

And later on I plan to watch some Halloween-related films with my friend

be it of an animation, horror, or thriller genre

But anyway, here are my costumes:

So this is my dark cybergoth costume

I got these...

(Whatchamacallem??)

I got these cyberlox that I made from scratch

I don't have any ponytails 'cause I have shaved sides, so I had to...

(What do you call..?)

Put them on these hair bun/donut things

And this is my respirator mask

which I had custom-made

Came all the way from Canada!

And I have an o-ring choker I also had made

These are both from Etsy

I have a fishnet long-sleeve shirt on

Some fingerless gloves that used to have buckles on them but I removed them 'cause they were...cheap-looking

A basic, black t-shirt

A strapless Tripp brand corset top with these cool buckles on them

And this is my favourite Tripp skirt. Ever.

It's got..cargo pockets and...chains!

Actually functional zippers that go up all the way

I also wear these T.U.K. brand creepers

for extra height

So here's my makeup for the cybergoth costume

I kind of like this darkness around the nose

So yeah. That's my makeup for the cybergoth costume!

So here's my makeup

I used a LOT of black eyeshow!

Definitely had to tease my hair...a lot

I also have light pink lipstick on so it would kind of neutralize the black makeup

And I did...kind of cheek contouring

And this is my awesome little

Lip Service brand straitjacket

that can be worn as a regular jacket 'cause the sleeves can fold up

And these are my Tripp/Royal Bones brand trousers

And, but of course, my Doc Martens!

So...yeah. This is my insane asylum, psychotic costume

So this is my weird outfit, I don't know!

At first it was going to be 'industrial'

but then I went really 'trad goth' for some reason...

So then I tried making it look as 'trad goth' as possible with all of my

lack of accessories...

So I did a bit of a 'trad goth' style eye makeup

And my hair is teased

but combed more over on the side

This random velour choker

One of my favourite necklaces, which is a biohazard symbol

I also have this Celtic cross

This really cheesy...all-black rubbery...spiked bracelet

I also have these claws -- this claw ring

A really fine mesh top from Tripp

And then I got this cool

tank top/sleeveless shirt thing from Queen of Darkness

And then this skirt here

has all these straps on it and d-rings, that's from...

from Heavy Red Gothic

And of course -- my Doc Martens

So yeah, next I may try some BLACK lipstick!

So this is my..."80's-trad-goth-mixed-with-(kind of) industrial" look

Not much different than the last time except now I have black lipstick on

and an ankh cross

I'm actually loving it a lot more with the black lipstick than the really light pink one

Of course I don't look EXACTLY like traditional '80's goth, but...

at least this part up is pretty good

I don't exactly have the clothes otherwise... (so...)

And THAT'S that

So this is my more realistically trad goth outfit that I could compose out of what I already own

Same accessories except now I got these chintzy...little..fishnet gloves

This is one of my favourite trench coats

which is from Criminal Damage

It's supposed to snap, all these straps, over, but they kind of suck...

And under I have this button-up shirt

with epaulets on it for a little militaristic appeal

The sleeves can also be rolled up, and it's got tabs so it can be buttoned

And my jeans are Tripp brand

Of COURSE!

It's got a bunch of patches and zippers and d-rings...a couple of rips

A pretty DIY-looking pair of jeans

And of course, my Doc Martens

So yeah. That's my more "trad goth" look
