World War 3: North Korea accuse 'frenzied' US of 'BLACKMAIL' as bombers fly over peninsula

The state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) lashed out at America after two B-1B bombers flew near the border separating the divided nations on Thursday.

KCNA said: The frenzied US scheme of threats and blackmail, which aims to crush our republic with nuclear weapons continues in November as it did in October." The news agency then claimed that the bombers, that were accompanied by South Korean and Japanese fighters at points during their journey, were practising dropping nuclear bombs on "key" North Korean targets.

It added: The US may make frantic last-minute efforts to block our powerful advances by shoving nuclear strategic assets at us, but our army and people are not ones to be startled.".

The US Pacific Air Forces confirmed that the flight took place yesterday.

It said: The two B-1B Lancers took off from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, and transited south of Korea and west of Japan to integrate with Koku Jieitai (Japan Air Self-Defence Force) fighters.

The Lancers then transited overland to Korea to integrate with Republic of Korea fighters in the Yellow Sea. "Upon completion of bilateral integration, the aircraft returned to their respective home stations..

The military body denied that escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula were responsible for the deployment of the bombers by declaring that the mission was planned in advance.

The recently flyovers come after North Korean commanders along the border with the South stated they "will not hesitate" to unleash a devastating barrage in retaliation to any attack by the United States.

The grave warning comes from a high-profile defector who says officers deployed on the demarcation line are expected "to press the button without any further instructions" at the first hint of an American strike.

Former North Korean diplomat Thae Yong-ho said thousands of short-range rockets and artillery pieces – many of which are trained on the South Korean capital Seoul – are ready to fire "at any moment".

Donald Trump will begin his tour of Asia on Sunday where he will visit Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.

On November 7 Trump will meet the South Korean President Moon Jae-in as well as American and South Korean servicemen where the consistent threats of nuclear annihilation from Pyongyang will surely be discussed.

The White House said: "The President will speak at the National Assembly, where he will celebrate the enduring alliance and friendship between the United States and the Republic of Korea, and call on the international community to join together in maximising pressure on North Korea.".

Green Bay Packers Championship Group, ca. 1965 | Our 50 States, Part 2 | Preview - Duration: 3:50.

APPRAISER: You guys are the daughters of an NFL Hall-of-Famer, Henry Jordan.

GUEST 1: Yes.

GUEST 2: Right.

Our dad died in 1977.

And after he died, my mom split up the jewelry amongst us.

APPRAISER: And your father played defense.

GUEST 2: He was defensive tackle.

And at the time, he was the smallest defensive tackle in the NFL.

He has a lot of cards out there, and they all say something different, but he was maybe

6'2" on a good day.

Very, very fast.

He was known for his incredible speed.

APPRAISER: That's his thing, he was a...

GUEST 2: And very agile.

APPRAISER: He was an agile defensive tackle.

He could get to the quarterback.

And at the time, sacks were...

They didn't keep track of them.

GUEST 2: Right.

APPRAISER: So who knows?

GUEST 2: One of the other things he was known for, he did a lot of speaking engagements,

and he was known for his wit.

He was a very funny man.

One of the famous things that he's known for saying is, "Lombardi treats us all the same--

like dogs."

(laughs)

APPRAISER: And you brought some souvenirs that you've inherited from your dad.

What do you have here?

GUEST 1: In 1961, the Green Bay Packers won a championship, and they received a ring.

At the same time, the wives received a companion ring, which is this one right here.

And in 1962, they won a championship, and they received a watch.

That's not in this collection here.

In 1965, they won again, and won this ring right here.

And that was called the World Championship Ring.

In 1966, they won again, and that was when they changed it to Super Bowl I.

And that is this ring right here.

They also won again the third year, 1967, for Super Bowl II.

And so they had a three-peat.

And people just forget, because this ring here is not called Super Bowl.

APPRAISER: So the Packers have a proud tradition of winning, is what you're trying to tell me.

GUEST 1: Yes.

APPRAISER: And not to be outdone, as you said, the 1961 wives' rings.

They got their own ring, along with the players.

And you've got the last NFL championship ring and the first Super Bowl ring.

GUEST 1: Right.

APPRAISER: And in the middle, you have a charm that's a combination of what, exactly?

GUEST 1: When the team won, the wives would get a charm.

And so this is their charm bracelet, and it has different years for all the different

divisional championships.

Or this one here is an outstanding lineman in 1962.

This one is a medallion that says on the back, "Seven-time All-Pro, Five-time Pro Bowl."

And then we've also got this one, was to commemorate the Super Bowl I ring.

APPRAISER: So in 1959, Vince Lombardi traded for your dad.

GUEST 1: Yes.

APPRAISER: To bring him from Cleveland to the Packers.

The rest is history.

GUEST 1: Absolutely.

APPRAISER: Let me ask you this—did your dad wear these rings?

GUEST 1: He wore every one of them until the new one.

Once he got Super Bowl II, that is the one that he wore all the time.

APPRAISER: Wore it all the time-- not just on the holidays, not just when people were

over-- he never took it off.

GUEST 1: Correct.

He was proud of it.

Well, he took it off all the time, but he wore it.

Because fans and friends wanted to try it on.

APPRAISER: That's great.

And you got to meet some of these players.

You were there.

GUEST 1: Yes, we grew up with them.

APPRAISER: You grew up with your Hall-of-Fame dad.

GUEST 1: Yes.

APPRAISER: He had a prolific NFL career, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

in 1995.

Do you guys have any idea of the value?

GUEST 1: No, not at all.

GUEST 2: A lot of sentimental value.

APPRAISER: Certainly.

I mean, you can't gauge that.

I'll give you two values here.

At auction, combined, this would bring $75,000...

GUEST 1: Really!

APPRAISER: To $100,000.

GUEST 1: Wow.

APPRAISER: We think insurance value is between $150,000 to $200,000.

GUEST 1: Okay.

APPRAISER: As you've said, you really can't value it.

The sentimental value is enormous.

GUEST 1: Well, that's fantastic.

APPRAISER: Yeah, well, when this came in, we were thrilled.

My eyes, I lit up.

(laughing) And you're still Packers fans, right?

GUEST 1 & 2: Absolutely.

World on a KNIFE EDGE: Iran asks Vladimir Putin to ELIMINATE US dollar and isolate America - Duration: 4:59.

World on a KNIFE EDGE: Iran asks Vladimir Putin to ELIMINATE US dollar and isolate America

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei branded the US an enemy and urged Moscow to completely sever ties with the US currency.  Mr Khamenei said: By ignoring the negative propaganda of the enemies, that seek to weaken relations between countries, we can nullify US sanctions, using methods such as eliminating the dollar and replacing it with national currencies in transactions between two or more parties; thus, isolate the Americans."  Mr Putin met Iranian political leaders in an effort to nurture a warming relationship strengthened since Donald Trump recently threatened to abandon the international nuclear deal with Iran reached in 2015.

Tehran and Russia are the main allies of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, while the US, Turkey and most Arab states support rebel groups fighting to overthrow him.

Mr Khamenei wants to step up cooperation to enable peace in the Middle East, Iranian state TV reported. During a meeting with Putin, he said: Full resolution of Syrias crisis needs strong cooperation between Iran and Russia.

Our cooperation can isolate America. This cooperation will restore stability in the region."  The supreme leader believes that economic relations have room for improvement in the Middle east.

He said: "In the transportation sector, we can expand cooperation, using the main axis of Chabahar port to the port of Saint Petersburg, as well as in other economic areas." Since Russias military intervention in Syrias war in 2015, and with stepped-up Iranian military assistance, Mr Assad has taken back large amounts of territory from rebels as well as swathes of central and eastern Syria from Islamic State militants.

Moscow is now trying to build on that success with a new diplomatic initiative, including a congress of Syrias rival parties it plans in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on November 18, though a major opposition bloc has refused to take part.

Pragmatist Iranian president Hassan Rouhani echoed Mr Khamenei, saying Iran and Russia together could tackle regional terrorism - an allusion to Sunni Muslim armed groups hostile to Iran, Assad and many other Arab states.

Mr Rouhani said: "Our cooperation has helped the fight against terrorism in the region. Together we can establish regional peace and security.

The rapprochement between Iran and Russia is worrying for both Saudi Arabia, Shiite Muslim Tehran´s main Sunni rival for dominance in the Middle East, and the United States.   . Mr Putin praised cooperation with Iran as very productive.

He said: "We are managing to coordinate our positions on the Syrian issue."  Moscow is also an important ally for Iran in its renewed confrontation with the United States, where Trump broke ranks with major allies on October 13 by de-certifying Tehrans nuclear deal with six world powers including Washington under his predecessor Barack Obama.

Mr Trump has called the agreement the worst deal ever negotiated and branded Iran a terrorist nation for involvement in conflicts in the Middle East.

Mr Putin told Khamenei: "We oppose any unilateral change in the multilateral nuclear deal."  An official said: "Both Russia and Iran are under American pressure. Tehran has no other choice but to rely on Moscow to ease the US pressure.".

North Korea all out war 'IMMINENT' United States nuke bombers race to peninsula - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:46.

North Korea all-out war 'IMMINENT' US nuke bombers race to peninsula

US BOMBERS have flown over the Korean Peninsula in a "surprise nuclear strike drill" to

destroy North Korea's nuclear weapons, the regime has said.

The advanced B-1B nuclear strategic bombers staged a strike in a bid to destroy the country's

major weapons programme, according to Kim Jong-un's propaganda mouthpiece.

KCNA reported that US President Donald Trump ordered the planes to fly from Guam to the

Sangdong firing range in South Korea to conduct nuke dropping drills.

The move sparked panic in Pyongyang as the test was staged as the super-large nuke carrier

USS Ronald Reagan was near North Korean waters at the time.

The secretive regime later blasted the US for "seeking to ignite nuclear war".

KCNA said: "The gangster-like US imperialists are ceaselessly resorting to their frantic

nuclear threat and blackmail to stifle North Korea with nukes at any cost.

"They let a formation of B-1B nuclear strategic bombers stationed at the Anderson Air Force

Base on Guam stealthily fly into South Korea again to stage a surprise nuclear strike drill

targeting the North.

"The reality clearly shows that the gangster-like US imperialists are the very one who is aggravating

the situation of the Korean Peninsula and seeking to ignite a nuclear war."

It added: "The US is making a last-ditch effort to check the dynamic advance of the

North by deploying their nuclear strategic assets in succession, but its army and people

are never frightened at such moves."

Last month US Air Force commanders sent the B-2 warplane over the Pacific in what was

described as a proof of its "commitment" to its allies in Asia.

North Korea has increasingly ramped up fears of nuclear war as it threatens to detonate

a nuke over the Pacific.

It comes as Trump prepares to visit South Korea and Asian allies in a major tour of

of the region, starting on Sunday.

There was no immediate confirmation from the U.S. and South Korean militaries.

Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey - US Military Transport Aircraft [Review] - Duration: 6:38.

The Bell Boeing V-22 is the world's first production tiltrotor aircraft, successfully

blending the vertical flight capability of a helicopter with the speed, range, altitude

and endurance of an airplane.

This unique combination provides the warfighter with an unprecedented advantage.

This allows more effective mission execution and realization of missions previously unachievable

in one aircraft.

Comprehensively tested and currently in full-rate production, the Bell Boeing V-22 has proven

to be a survivable and transformational platform in the most challenging environments on the

planet.

U.S. Naval Air Systems Command worked on software upgrades to increase the maximum speed from

460 km/h to 500 km/h, increase helicopter mode altitude limit from 3,000 m to 3,700

m or 4,300 m, and increase lift performance.

Implementation of these upgrades began in September 2011 and proved largely effective.

By 2012, changes had been made to the V-22's hardware, software, and procedures in response

to hydraulic fires in the nacelles, vortex ring state control issues, and opposed landings.

In October 2015, NAVAIR tested rolling landings and takeoffs on a carrier, preparing for Carrier

onboard delivery.

Composite materials make up 43% of the airframe, and the proprotor blades also use composites.

For storage, the V-22's rotors fold in 90 seconds and its wing rotates to align, front-to-back,

with the fuselage.

Due to the requirement for folding rotors, their 38-foot diameter is 5 feet less than

optimal for vertical takeoff, resulting in high disk loading.

Most missions use fixed wing flight 75% or more of the time, reducing wear and tear and

operational costs.

This fixed wing flight is higher than typical helicopter missions allowing longer range

line-of-sight communications for improved command and control.

The V-22's two Rolls-Royce AE 1107C engines are connected by drive shafts to a common

central gearbox so that one engine can power both proprotors if an engine failure occurs.

Either engine can power both proprotors through the wing driveshaft.

However, the V-22 is generally not capable of hovering on one engine.

If a proprotor gearbox fails, that proprotor cannot be feathered, and both engines must

be stopped before an emergency landing.

The V-22's autorotation characteristics are poor partly because the rotors have low inertia.

In September 2013, Rolls-Royce announced that it had increased the AE-1107C engine's power

by 17 percent via the adoption of a new Block 3 turbine, an increase in fuel valve flow

capacity, and accompanying software updates.

The upgrade should increase the reliability in high-altitude, high-heat conditions and

boost maximum payload limitations from 1,829 m to 2,4338 m.

A Block 4 upgrade is reportedly being examined, which may increase power by up to 26 percent,

producing close to 10,000 hp, and improve fuel consumption.

The V-22 is equipped with a glass cockpit, which incorporates four Multi-function displays

(compatible with night-vision goggles) and one shared Central Display Unit, to display

various images including: digimaps, imagery from the Turreted Forward Looking Infrared

System primary flight instruments, navigation (TACAN, VOR, ILS, GPS, INS), and system status.

The flight director panel of the Cockpit Management System allows for fully coupled functions

that take the aircraft from forward flight into a 15 m hover with no pilot interaction

other than programming the system.

The glass cockpit of the canceled CH-46X was derived from the V-22.

The fuselage is not pressurized, and personnel must wear on-board oxygen masks above 3,048

m.

The V-22 has triple-redundant fly-by-wire flight control systems, which included computerized

damage control to automatically isolate damaged areas.

With the nacelles pointing straight up in conversion mode at 90° the flight computers

command the aircraft to fly like a helicopter, with cyclic forces being applied to a conventional

swashplate at the rotor hub.

With the nacelles in airplane mode (0°) the flaperons, rudder, and elevator fly similar

to an airplane.

This is a gradual transition, occurring over the nacelles' rotation range; the lower the

nacelles, the greater effect of the airplane-mode control surfaces.

The nacelles can rotate past vertical to 97.5° for rearward flight.

The V-22 can use the "80 Jump" orientation with the nacelles at 80° for takeoff to quickly

achieve high altitude and speed.

The control systems automate and simplify to the extent that the V-22 can hover in low

wind with no hands on the controls.

According to some who have flown the aircraft, former fixed-wing pilots may be preferable

over helicopter ones as they are not trained to constantly adjust the controls while hovering.

US deploys nuke detection plane amid fears North Korea about to detonate bomb - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:43.

US deploys nuke detection plane amid fears North Korea about to detonate bomb

NORTH Korea is feared to be testing a nuclear bomb TONIGHT after the US deployed its 'nuke

sniffer'.

The US has scrambled its nuclear detection plane amid fears the Hermit State is about

to test another explosive weapon.

The Civil Military Air Twitter feed reports that "Cobra Ball - Ballistic Missile detection

platform (is) airborne".

It adds that "no position is showing".

It could be joining another two spy planes already deployed to the Korean peninsula to

sniff out signs of an imminent test.

The US Air Force tonoght confirmed two US bombers flew over Korea today, according to

South Korean news agency Yonhap.

The move comes days after a H-bomb was reportedly detonated at the Punggye-ri mountain site

which led to two tunnels collapsing.

At least 100 workers excavating the new dig several days after the test were crushed,

while another 100 were killed in a second collapse during rescue efforts.

The deployment of the sniffer plane also comes just days ahead of US president Donald Trump's

12-day tour of South Korea.

And it comes hours after the South's spy agency revealed activity had been spotted at nuke-nut

Kim Jong-un's missile research facilities in Pyongyang.

Chillingly, it is these facilities where the most recent test was carried out, pointing

to another potential launch.

Tensions have continued to rise with the Hermit State relentlessly vowing to reduce the US

to a "sea of fire" with long range missiles capable of hitting the mainland.

The North haven't launched any missiles since September 15 – the longest lull this year

– but could be wanting to coincide a launch with Trump's visit to Seoul.

"There is a possibility of a new missile launch given the active movement of vehicles

around the missile research institute in Pyongyang," the South's intelligence agency said today.

"The North will constantly push for further nuclear tests going forward, and the miniaturization

and diversification of warheads."

North Korea WON'T THINK TWICE about 'pressing the button' if US strikes, defector warns - Duration: 3:52.

North Korea WON'T THINK TWICE about 'pressing the button' if US strikes, defector warns

The grave warning comes from a high-profile defector who says officers deployed on the demarcation line are expected "to press the button without any further instructions" at the first hint of an American strike.  Former North Korean diplomat Thae Yong-ho said thousands of short-range rockets and artillery pieces - many of which are trained on the South Korean capital Seoul - are ready to fire "at any moment".

Addressing American lawmakers today, he said the US and the South would ultimately win any war against Kim Jong-un's regime.

But Mr Thae expressed concern for the millions of civilians living in range of Kim's terrifying arsenal, saying they could become a "human sacrifice" if war breaks out. .

He told the US House Foreign Affairs Committee: "North Korean officers are trained to press the button without any further instructions from the general command if something happens on their side.  So if there is any sound of fire or bombs or strikes from Americans, the North Korean artillery and short-range missiles will fire against South Korea.

"I strongly believe that if there is any preventive or surgical strike of whatever, war will be won by America and South Korea, there is no doubt about it, but we have to see the human sacrifice from this military option." President Donald Trump has taken a hard-line approach in dealing with the nuclear-armed North and has not shied away from threatening military action, a stark contrast to the policy of his predecessors.

Mr Trump has repeatedly insulted despot Kim and said he would totally destroy North Korea if it dare attack the US or its allies.

Following the threat, he tweeted saying his chief diplomat Rex Tillerson was "wasting his time" trying to negotiate a peaceful solution to the crisis.  Tensions on the Korean Peninsula escalated further after North Korea tested a suspected hydrogen bomb earlier this month.

And South Korean intelligence agencies have reported a sudden flurry of activity around Pyongyang's nuclear and ballistic missile research facilities - suggesting another test could imminent.

It comes as President Donald Trump is set to visit South Korean leaders in Seoul next week as part of a 12-day, five country Asian tour.

Mr Thae was based in London as deputy North Korean ambassador until last year when he defected to the South.   He has been an outspoken critic of the Kim's regime ever since.

In his evidence to US lawmakers today, he went on condemn the human rights abuses by Kim's oppressive regime and likened its crimes to those "committed by the Nazis".

North Korea TWO MONTHS away from US nuclear strike amid World War 3 threat – US sources - Duration: 3:17.

North Korea TWO MONTHS away from US nuclear strike amid World War 3 threat – US sources

is working on an advanced version of its KN-20 intercontinental ballistic missile, which could potentially be ready less than six months after its first tests in April, according to US officials with a close eye on the rogue state.

The threat of Kim Jong-un's missile programme has forced US President to drastically rethink the time it may take for North Korea to be ready for a nuclear strike on the United States.

Speaking anonymously to CNN, the US officials warned the hermit nation's nuclear fuel, missile launchers and targeting systems are also being improved.

They claim Mr Trump has used so many of his own senior staff members to talk publicly about the threat posed by North Korea because of Kim Jong-un's accelerated programme.   .

The source now claims the North Korea threat is now more urgent because US intelligence will struggle to evaluate wether a North Korea missile is on a launcher or even armed with a nuclear warhead.

North Korea is also believed to be in possession of a functioning warhead but are yet to have tested the deadly weapon.

The rogue state is also said to be plotting to wipe out 90 per cent of the USA with a deadly "electromagnetic pulse bomb".

Mr Trump's Chief of Staff John Kelly was asked about the future threat of an which could wipe of huge chunks of the United States.

Mr Kelly warned of Kim Jong-un's plan to develop strong nuclear and insisted the despot leader must be stopped.

He said: "That's why cannot have an intercontinental ballistic missile that can deliver a survivable nuclear device to the homeland." Another expert, Dr Lassina Zerbo, executive secretary for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), warned a North Korea war is "closer" than ever.

He told Sky News "nobody knows what is happening" as Kim Jong-un continues his deadly missile programme. Dr Zerbo said: "I think the risk is bigger than when I joined the organisation 13 years ago.

"We are closer to a nuclear war, but my hope relies on the power of multilateral diplomacy.".

McCain Blasts US in Speech to Naval Academy, "No More America First" - Duration: 4:23.

Arizona Sen. John McCain took another swipe at Trump administration policy in a speech

to the U.S. Naval Academy, where he slammed both isolationism and nationalism, ideas he

said are ascendant within the President Trump's White House.

In the speech to the midshipmen in Annapolis, Maryland, on Monday, the Senate Armed Services

Committee chairman ripped into the Trump administration's policies, although — taking a Voldemort-like

approach that's become habitual among anti-Trump conservatives — he never mentioned the president's

name.

McCain contrasted the "hopeful atmosphere of 1991" after the fall of the Soviet Union

with "the current circumstances of our world," according to USNI News.

"We have gone from an interval when the global success of democracy seemed assured

to a time in which the seductions of authoritarian rule find favor with many; when self-interested

leadership excuses naked aggression with weak rationalizations; when ethnic grievances haunt

the old and religious fanaticism fires the minds of the misguided young," McCain said.

"We are asleep to the necessity of our leadership, and to the opportunities and real dangers

of this world," he continued.

"We are asleep in our echo chambers, where our views are always affirmed and information

that contradicts them is always fake.

We are asleep in our polarized politics, which exaggerates our differences, looks for scapegoats

instead of answers."

McCain then went on to attack attributes (isolationism, protectionism) and straw men (conspiracy theories,

propaganda) commonly associated with the Trump administration.

"I believe in Americans.

We're capable of better.

I've seen it," the Arizona senator said.

"We're hopeful, compassionate people.

And we still have leaders who will uphold the values that made America great, and a

beacon to the oppressed.

"But I don't take that for granted.

We have to fight.

We have to fight against propaganda and crackpot conspiracy theories.

We have to fight isolationism, protectionism, and nativism."

In a part of his speech where he contrasted the values of post-World War II statesmen

with the current administration, he refused to mention the latter by name — although

he did take aim at one of its most identifiable slogans.

McCain said that the statesmen had come to the conclusion "that the American example

and American leadership are indispensable to securing a peaceful and prosperous future.

Our failure to remain engaged in Europe and enforce the hard-won peace of 1918 had made

that clear.

There could be no more isolationism, no more tired resignation — no more 'America First.'"

McCain, of course, is equating — possibly deliberately and dishonestly — Trump's

"America First" with the America First Committee, a WWII-era anti-war, isolationist

group.

This group, led by Sears Roebuck executive Robert E. Wood and aviation hero Charles Lindbergh,

vociferously opposed entry into the war against Hitler's Germany that were not always admirable

or moral.

The comparisons between a slogan meant to emphasize what many conservatives feel was

the Obama administration's excessive accommodation to internationalism and globalism with a discredited

movement that sought to stay out of an active war between fascist, racist, genocidal powers

is, one would hope, nothing more than rhetoric.

Judging by McCain's recent history with the Trump administration — he's killed

the Republican bill to replace Obamacare and intimated he found the Obama administration

more up to his liking, for instance — one is not inclined to give him the benefit of

the doubt.

John McCain has served our country and the Republican Party well.

We wish him the best in his fight against cancer.

However, I'm getting a bit sick of having to append those caveats onto the end of every

single story involving something the Arizona lawmaker has done to blight the conservative

cause or blunt the edge of the Trump agenda.

Let's face facts: McCain has become an incorrigible RINO, wholly determined to act as a roadblock

to his party's efforts to undo the damage of the Obama era.

Part of this seems to involve smearing the president at every opportunity possible.

If John McCain really wants to do something great for America, we have a simple suggestion

for him: Retirement.
