"How much do I need for a down payment

for a new house in Canada?"

So Troy take it away.

So the minimum down payment is 5%

of the first $500,000

10% for any amount over $500,000

as long as the purchase price is under a million.

Is there a difference between a down payment

in specific provinces?

So let's say in Alberta, is it different

than in say, BC or Newfoundland?

There's no changes yet, there's rumors

of the government looking into that potentially down the road,

but as of right now the down payment requirements are the same regardless

of what area of the country you are in.

So the minimum across Canada then is

5% for the first $500,000, and 10% anything over, and then I think

anything over that?

Anything over a million dollars then requires at least 20% as a down payment.

Okay, anything else to add?

In some small areas, banks may require a higher down payment.

If it's very rural or very remote, but beyond that no.

I need Spanish friends - Toledo, Bachata and Rollerskating | YEAR ABROAD VLOG - Duration: 7:16.

So, I'm over a month into my year abroad

and everything's going okay everything's good

I am really enjoying it I'm just a little bit worried for my Spanish

I mean I'm speaking it and I'm obviously better than when I came

But I want to improve faster so yeah now I'm really on a mission to like you know

Step out of my comfort zone and just get to trap like everyday routine that we have like

you know wake up, go to school, come home, chill like yeah I like it

But because I don't live in central, because I don't have Spanish friends

I don't live with Spaniards I feel like I need to actively do more to ensure I'm actually

speaking enough Spanish because it's not just it's not gonna happen to me

I need to make it happen I just need to be even more of a go-getter than I already am

At the moment I'm just walking through like the area that I live

I've seen a few English schools which I think would be good

for me so that maybe go and get a job, bit of money on a Saturday or something

also if there's anyone who wants an English friend I'm here

I just think I need to let people know that I'm here and available

I've realized how valuable English is here and I mean I'm obviously a great resource and

also I'm British which is even better since I'm like well I'm actually really

valuable like I need to take advantage and let people know that I'm here because

people are looking for people like me and I'm looking for them

I just need to do more to go out of my way to like forge these relationships and make it make it actually happen

So I'm in this nature reserve type place

found this like thing full of routes and then things see in San Agustín

So I think I'm gonna do one of the routes now

very serene

I'm enjoying being in my own headspace

There's not really many people around it's nice just have some time alone

everything's okay yesterday the Intercambio was really good

it was really nice to meet people I met this one girl

I assume we're gonna be like you know partners

I'll help her with her English and she'll help me with my Spanish

And we're gonna go dancing tonight aswell

It was really nice to meet people and it's a really nice environment

because like everybody there is trying to learn

Because I feel like it's always a bit awkward when you're trying to learn off someone who

isn't really there to help you that you You kind of assume that just because they're

Spanish that they have a knowledge to give you and they want to help you but

because I'm that kind of person myself

So yea it's just nice to meet people who

are also on the same page

yeah today I'm not sure quite what I'm doing I realized

that I work to do less of just kind of going out and seeing things and more of

going out and doing things

Cause yea, you can go out and see things and that's nice

but the likelihood of you bumping into someone and like you know hitting it off

like talking is quite slim

I'm happy I'm very happy

Because my mindsets changed I feel like wherever I go whatever I do I'm going to be

looking for ways that I can use this situation to my advantage you know

So yea, it's lit

I think from here on out is improvement

It is... Sunday of the long weekend The "puente"

I remember I started videoing like a few days ago

Talking about oh my gosh, I'm just a bit frustrated, my Spanish isn't improving

I haven't really got Spanish friends

But this weekend I'm gonna go out and make friends, and that's exactly what I did!

I'm really really happy

I feel like this weekend I've actually taken a huge leap

in like where I am, how I feel, my position in Spain

That sounds a bit extreme but yeah like I've literally made so many friends just in this one this weekend

Well not so many but... enough

Anyway so I've just met loads of people and it's just really nice

this weekend I've pretty much been speaking Spanish constantly

And Ollala's really been helping We've been helping eachother with grammar

I've been learning new words and

It's been nice to have a Spanish presence this weekend and I hope this is gonna continue from now onwards

I dunno I'm just really happy, I'm really content I feel like I've reached a good point

Where I have the resources that I need to improve

I'm just really happy

I'm about to start editing this vlog I'm making now

I'm just happy, I'm happy

This is the beginning of the next chapter and I'm excited
