Auto news on Youtube Nov 13 2017

hi guys hope you're doing well so today I'm showing you my October favorites

these include some beauty favorites and a lot of accessories and some fashion

pieces so let's just get right into the video so I'm starting off with the item

that I've been loving for the longest time now it's this Smashbox liquid

lipstick in the color always on I guess or is it the name I don't know I'll

leave it down below in the description box but it's a really really really nice

liquid lipstick it stays on for such a long time I was a little bit hesitant

in buying a red lipstick liquid lipstick before I don't know why because

I maybe I thought when touching up you might see it like the basis coming or

layering each other but this one is really really good I've been really

loving it and it's a really nice color as well I'll show you the color in the

cut out but yeah it stays on for quite a long time of course when you eat it

might come off a little bit in the inside of the lips at least that's the

one thing that I struggle with with the liquid lipsticks um but this one is

really really nice and I think it's quite affordable it's not too expensive

for the quality the next liquid lipstick is this one it's from NYX in the color

exotic before this I had never tried NYX liquid lipsticks but I'm

pleasantly surprised they are really good and I really like this color for me

it's a kind of it's not a nude but it's a color that I can wear every single day

without feeling too overpowering like for example with the red lipstick

sometimes I might think okay let's not do that but this one I really like again

the quality is really nice it stays on for a long time

and it's really affordable so if you're new to liquid lipsticks or you're not

really sure to buy a more expensive one like the ones from Kylie cosmetics or Huda Beauty

I would really recommend this one from NYX and another thing in a beauty

department are actually two items I got this when I left my internship but I

just started trying it out I think going into September but really using it

during October and I've been really loving this combination it's the

Les 4 Ombres eye shadow quad from Chanel in the color Road Movie 288 and

I've been really liking this brown color it's for me it's a nice shading color

but also an everyday color that I like an eyeshadow that I can wear every

single day I haven't been using the other two color so the green one and the

black one just because I don't wear those colors so much but for an

eyeshadow palette I think it's really nice and it's really compact it has a

really nice mirror inside so if you are wearing a smaller bag this is a really

nice I shadow quad and it came with this double ended brush also from Chanel so

it's a blender and a shader and I've been really liking it they're they are

really good quality and they have like these lids so you can always protect the

bristles on the you can protect the bristles on the wow it's not working you

can protect the bristles on the brush but again this is a really compact you

can throw it in your small handbag or handbag or you can put it in your jacket

if you want to if you're going out and you need to touch up um this one I

really like and I didn't know for what they retail since I got it as a present

but I'll leave them down below in the description box then another item in the

beauty department is this NARS radiant creamy concealer I know this has been

around for so many years and I'm really really late to the party like the party

already ended and I'm just entering the room but I have it in the color ginger

so medium two I just got it now because NARS has just launched where I live

so before I couldn't get it I had to go to a Sephora but in the Netherlands

there is no Sephora so we're out of luck but now the department store called

de Bijenkorf is selling it so immediately I bought this one and I've

been really lighten it so my next Beauty favorite of October is this Essie nail

polish it's in a color perfect posture in 4 5 0

it's a beautiful icy blue nail polish and I don't know why I am using it so

much during October because it's quite you know it's a light color maybe more

people are going for more festive nails I am going for this nail polish I

really like it I think it's just you know the basic nail color is white and

this is my version of white nails and it's a really nice nail polish it does

chip but I have to say every nail polish chips on me so for Essie it's really nice

and I really like the color and it doesn't shine through if you put on two

layers of it so yeah it's my favorite so my next favorite are these micellar

cleansing wipes from Simple I can't say much about the cleansing wipes because

everybody knows they take off makeup but these ones don't irritate my skin as

some other brands do they are also made to be kind to skin so they're made for

sensitive skin like mine and yeah they're really nice they're really good

so my last favorite in the beauty and skincare department is this clinical 1%

retinol treatment from Paula's Choice it's a treatment against aging so against

wrinkles and fine lines but for me it has really helped with my hyper

pigmentation marks that I have on my cheeks and on my forehead it's quite a

pricey product and that's because it's clinically proven to help so I think if

you have slightly older skin than I do or you struggle with the same problems then

this might be product for you if you're all if you're younger than me so younger

than 21 I don't think you really need this product you don't have to buy it

you don't have to pick it up but it's something to hold in mind for the future

because retinol is a really nice ingredient in skincare so yeah I really love

this treatment from Paula's Choice so if you're in the market for it maybe try

and pick this up if you're interested so now let's talk about accessories I have

a lot of accessories laying around here a lot of autumn accessories and the

first ones are these gloves they are from Karl Lagerfeld's own brand they are

the gloves that he always wears or he wears these kinds of gloves so

the ones without the fingertips and yeah I always wanted his gloves I don't know

why I think because he always looks so good in them and I really like leather

gloves I really wanted one one pair of his brand and I finally picked them up I

got them for 29 euros they were reduced from 99

euros so it was real bargain and I'm really happy with them I wear them

around the house I think every single day now because it's getting colder and

I like these gloves because I can still be on my phone and be on Instagram you

know so yeah they are really nice it's really good leather

I wouldn't expect less from him but yeah they are really nice really beautiful

and I really like this chain detail at something and it's white gold so it's

still I can still wear it wearing silver and gold so yeah I will

list them down below so my next favorite is this beanie my mom brought it home from

Italy where she was on vacation and I really like this one I've always wanted

a beanie like this with a nice faux fur pom-pom on it yeah I can't really say

anything about it other than it's a nice beanie and I've worn it inside not

outside yet because it's not cold enough yet but I think it really looks nice

especially with my dark hair it stands off the like with the white color and

yeah I can't really list down I can't really say which shop she got it from

because she doesn't remember but I will try and find some similar beanies online

my next favorite is this hat that I got from a H&M's men's collection I picked

up this one because I really like the style I really like the fit and the

color of it because I was searching for it but I couldn't find any that really

were the ones I was looking for that were meant to be but this one is really

nice I really like it and it's really affordable it only cause of me 15 euros

so if you're looking for a hat like this

check check out H&M check out Zara or Mango

they all do these kinds of hats this one I really liked in particular so I picked

up this one but you can find them anywhere probably also on ASOS

Missguided you name it maybe even more expensive brands if you want to be more

original but these ones are really nice to spice up your outfit make it all look

a little bit more put together or just add something new to your closet so try

one out if you are looking for nice hat wear next up I have another new

item in my hat collection it's this beret it's also from H&M but it's from

the H&M divided collection this one costed I think 10 euros so it's really

affordable it's really cheap again a trend item I know I'm guilty but I really like

it I really like the style of it ever since I saw Rihanna wearing berets I just wanted one for myself

so if Rihanna does it it will look good you know this one it's just a simple

beret it's a black beret I can't really tell you anything more about it than that

it's a good one and an affordable one but again it's a really nice item to add

into your collection if you want to be more on top the trends or you just like

berets going into autumn and winter I really wanted some new black booties and

they came into my life earlier than I expected

I bought these ones they're from the Kendall + Kylie collection and there are

my first purchase from the brand but I really really love them they are so

beautiful I literally fell head over heels with

these shoes when I saw them I tried them on and I took them home immediately even

though they were pricey they retail 189 euros so for me that's quite a big

spender in one time but I love them aren't they sexy aren't they so beautiful they are

made of really beautiful leather and they're quite high but I'm a I'm a tiny

girl so I really wanted these ones they are just so nice aren't they aren't

they so pretty yeah but I can't really say anything more about them other than

that I love them and if you're looking for beautiful high-heeled booties as

well check Kendall + Kylie's collection out as well now some

fashion pieces I bought this blouse around the time of my birthday I really

love this blouse I didn't want to buy anything before my birthday because I

thought maybe I got some money maybe it can spend it spend some of that on some

fashion pieces but yeah this one I think it's it's still in stock so if you're

looking for it pick it up I think it retails for over 30 euros so it's okay

it's it's not too expensive it's not cheap but it has a nice it has beautiful

pearls here and also on the sleeves down below and you can tie this as as a bow

or you can tie it in the back so you can leave it a little bit more open I've

already done that before it's it's really beautiful and I really like this

blouse and it has been a favorite ever since I got it

then this shirt I was eyeing up this shirt for the longest time it's from and

& Other Stories and yeah it was sold out I think for months every time I

saw that it came in another color combination it was immediately

sold out but I think it was faith when I saw this one

in store itself so I could try it on and yeah I really love this combination I

love the red with the pink and stripes are always a staple item in your closet

but this one is just a little bit more fun I bought it in a size 36 so it's

quite a boxy shirt it's it's it's a good shirt I can't really tell you more about it

the fabric is really nice it's soft and it will keep me warm during autumn and

winter time I think as well another trend item I know it's this blazer

from Zara I already got it I think in June or July

or maybe even before that but it's still very trendy nowadays did I say was from

Zara I don't know but it's from Zara I got it reduced so I don't think this

particular one is still in stock but every brand is coming out

with these kinds of blazers with the checks on it and I think it's a really

nice piece to invest in because you can wear it during every single season and

now I will continue to wear it it is an absolute favorite especially with a

white tee underneath I really I really like that combination and yeah it's

quite long it falls around my hips so I think that's the best length for a

blazer personally and yeah that's it and then my last favorite of this month has

been this book by Aimee Song from the blog SongOfStyle the book is called

Capture Your Style and it came out last year I just got it now I don't know why but I

really wanted this book for the longest time and I finally have it I'm at the

end I think I only have 15 pages left so I have to say so I can say to me good

book to read if you are interested in Instagram not per se fashion but just

Instagram and how it works aesthetics and filming and making and editing

pictures so she tells a story about everything just the aesthetics how to

edit and how to style backgrounds but she does everything with illustrations

so she has pictures of her previous Instagram posts in the book so you can

really see what she does what's her formula to her success and it's a really

nice book I bought it from Amazon I think for 10 euros so it's it's an

affordable book and it is a really nice coffee table book as well okay and that

wraps up my October favorites I hope you enjoyed this video if you have any

questions ask them down below check the description box if you want to pick up

one of these items and on your way out like the video if you liked it

6 Surprising Ways to BOOST Your MANLINESS - Duration: 5:23.

You see a lot of our manly attributes, at least the physical ones, are closely

attributed and guided by one single factor. Whether it be awesome bone

structure, a rugged beard, building more muscle, having more energy, and an overall

leaner body that helps keep weight off, it's all guided by how much testosterone

your body can produce. And the best part is you can boost all of this completely

naturally, if you follow these six tips.

One, eat more fats.

Monounsaturated fats are one of the most critical players when it comes to optimizing natural

testosterone production. One study published in the Journal of applied

physiology found that diets with higher levels of fat have been shown to

increase your testosterone levels. But also keep in mind you do want to focus

on healthy fats, like your olive oil, your avocado, the ones from your almond, this

doesn't mean you're gonna stuff your face with Big Mac's.

Number two, kind of goes along with that, and it's consuming more testosterone

boosting ingredients and vitamins. Just like fat there are various vitamins and

minerals that help boost your testosterone. For example, your zinc, your

DAA (which is an amino acid) your vitamin D (which some argue is one of the most

important vitamins to help your body produce more testosterone) But now, what I

recommend is that you find a balanced multivitamin and take that daily. You can

go on Amazon search one up and look at the one with the best reviews. See what

people have to say because getting a lot of these nutrients and for everything

you need in life is very hard to do just from your diet alone, unless like you're

super strict and you're looking at everything it's gonna be very hard to

track all that; much easier to take one pill every single day that delivers a

lot of these vitamins and minerals.

Number three to be more manly, train with free weight movements.

Now to keep it simple, basically how it works, the more

muscle mass you stimulate, the more testosterone those muscles are gonna

secrete. And if you focus on multi joint compound movements like your squat,

your bench press, your deadlift (which involvemultiple muscles in your body) you're

gonna be more efficient stimulate, more muscles per movement, therefore making

sure your body is producing more testosterone. The point is you want to go

in hot and really beat up those muscles. Now a little tip from my end make sure

you wear the proper gear when you go to the gym. Using performance fits and cuts

like from our sponsor Hylete, is a sure way to boost your

it's level in the gym, making sure you work efficiently, harder and get the best

results when you're at the gym. Don't be the guy wearing jeans to deadlift,

it's constricting your range of motion. Instead wear something like the flexion

shorts which is the perfect pair to wear before, during, or even after the gym. The

casual style of the shorts and performance fabric make it the perfect

everyday short that comes in various cuts like above the knee regular, or even

long or try Hylete's verge II short, which are their lightest pair and built

to breathe and dry super-quick. It features an angled zipper pocket

which keeps your valuables close to your body as you're training. And just like the

other shorts these come in four lengths it has a quad cut, and above-the-knee cut,

a regular cut, or a long cut. My favorite part of their shorts is that they have a

patented waistband system. Again unlike your regular shorts, that they're sitting

comfortably on your waist and they're tight but they're not cinching or

scrunching which are just gonna make you just feel uncomfortable. And don't get me

started on their amazing shirts, like this one. The great thing is that a lot

of their shirts like this one can be both a life style shirt and also be worn

in the gym. But they also have an amazing quad blend fabric, that's right, four

blends that has an athletic fit perfect for working out when you're going to the

gym. Definitely check those out as well, I'm gonna have them linked below. It's a

proprietary blend so it's unlike any other sports shirt you've ever tried. And

the great part is that they're not crazy expensive,

they're comparable to your Nike or your Adidas. But I did you even one more solid,

I got you a discount code so you can cop any of these amazing items at a

discounted price. So if you want to build up your gym gear and make sure you go in

there hot and trained as best as possible, definitely check out Hylete,

I'm going to have it linked below with that code just for you guys.

The fourth thing you can do to increase your manliness is, also go along with training,

but it's keeping your training short. Training for longer periods of time

doesn't mean you're getting better or more results. If you're training for over

an hour but your rest times are three to five minutes because you're spending

them on your phone, you could be regressing your testosterone production.

Research shows that to maximize your testosterone production you want to keep

your rest period short, around a minute, and your total workout should be under an hr.

Number five is an easy one, just get more sleep.

Lack of sleep can dramatically reduce the not test' your body produces.

This is why sleep is so important and something

that's always recommended for proper muscle growth and fat loss. So all you

have to do is just make sure you're getting those hours of sleep to increase

your manliness, how easy is that.

And finally number six, you want to make sure you're decreasing your stress level.

Stress has a huge negative effect on how

efficiently your body produces testosterone. And what happens is the

more stress you are the more you increase your cortisol hormone, which

unnatural levels in here is what reduces your testosterone level. They kind of

have like a opposite or a seesaw effect that the more you have here the less you

have here, the more tests you have the less cortisol hormone you have. So make

sure you reduce your stress levels stay as positive as you ca,n and you'll be more manly.

Alright guys so that's it for this week's video. If you guys liked it and

found it informative, don't forget to drop us a like down below.

Also don't forget to check out our sponsor Hylete, they're gonna be linked down below as well.

That's it for me today, see you next time!

The 50 Best Fashion Tips of All Time (Part 1) - Duration: 16:13.

The 50 Best Fashion Tips of All Time (Part 1)

Say goodbye to embarrassing outfits. Weve rounded up the best fashion tips of all time into one spot. So that youll never have to step out of the house feeling unsure about your look again.

Ahead, youll find advice from celebrity stylists who have been in the game for years. And weve taken notes from a few iconic style stars—like Jackie O and Bianca Jagger.

Their influence on the fashion world has withstood the test of time. Now, its your turn to step out with confidence and make heads turn just like fashions it girl.

Make sure you bookmark this tab because the fashion tips below will come in handy the next time youre in a style dilemma.

1. Show Skin Strategically

Looking truly sexy involves knowing what to bare-and what to keep under wraps. Otherwise, wheres the mystery? Choose one-only one-body part and show it off, advises Jen Rade, stylist to Angelina Jolie.

If its cleavage, dont show your legs. If its your legs, stay covered on top..

2. Round Up White Button-Downs

Take a classic cue from Marilyn Monroe! They elevate jeans and keep ball skirts from drifting into fantasy-land. But all that mileage comes at a cost: a short shelf life. So buy three, dont overbleach (which can cause yellowing), and refresh regularly.

3. Accessorize With Brights

If youve got a closet full of neutrals-be they navy, black, camel, or gray-add energy with boldly hued shoes and bags. Not only is a ruby red satchel more lively than ho-hum black, but its also surprisingly versatile.

Feeling really brave? Wear a neutral base with shoes and a bag in two different complementary colors.

4. Hem Your Pants for a Shoe Height

The biggest mistake women make is wearing pants that arent the right length for their shoes, says stylist Kate Young. To fix this, hem to either flats or heels like Dakota Johnson—no going back.

Generally, hems should just graze the tops of your shoes and be from 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch off the floor.

5. Go Hands-Free for Evening

A dressy bag with a chain helps you hold crudités and a cocktail-plus, it lends a cool edge to evening wear, says stylist Cher Coulter. Wear the chain diagonally across your body for the best effect.

6. Know Your Stretch

The secret formula for a soft but formfitting T? 95% cotton, 5% Lycra spandex. For jeans to hold their shape, they need at least 2% Lycra.

7. Throw on a Scarf

Its the ultimate accessory according to a host of the best-dressed women we interviewed. Stash one in your purse or carry-on to transform simple Ts in the time it takes to make a knot.

8. Consider the Wear and Care

Before you buy, try to gauge how a piece might hold up after a few washings. And dont shell out for clothes you cant, or wont, take to the dry cleaners.

If you know youll never hand-wash that embellished sweater or fancy bra, walk away.

9. Embrace Your Shape

Once you know which silhouettes flatter you, filter trends ruthlessly, says designer Shoshanna Gruss. For instance, if youre petite and shapely, its best to avoid tall columns and billowy maxis even if you love them.

Go for a dress with a defined waist and just-above-the-knee hem.

10. Make a List

Not of what you want to buy, but of the 10 fave items in your closet. This will help you zero in on pieces that mesh with what you own (or remind you that you never actually wear big floral prints).

11. Hit the Dressing Room Prepared

If youre shopping for that ultra-important dress, get a true feel for the fit by bringing your Spanx with you. And while youre at it, bring heels, lipstick, and a hairbrush.

These will help you get a better sense of the final result.

12. Round Down in Denim

When in doubt, go with the smaller size in jeans. They always stretch, and nothings more unflattering than the unintentionally baggy derrière.

13. Edit Your Closet

Clothes need breathing room! You should be able to see every item without rummaging. Consider donating anything you havent worn in the past year.

14. Always Check Out the Rear View

And dont leave the house until you like what you see in the mirror.

15. Layer Your Necklaces

Coco Chanels more-is-more approach still makes a statement today. You can do multiples of the same material, or better yet, go for contrast: Try a femme piece with edgy chains, feathers with beads, or pearls with diamantés.

16. Check the Inside

A garments lining is often a designers calling card, and a good way to judge quality. A well-crafted lining is a sign that the whole piece has been sewn with care.

17. Open Your Mind

Always take one its cute but so not me thing into the fitting room.

18. Show Some Loyalty

A great-fitting dress or pair of pants from a line one season may mean similar success the next, as shown by Kate Middleton.

Designers, especially higher-end ones like Middletons fave Temerley London, tend to size their clothes based on a regular fit model.

19. When in Doubt, Wear Nude Pumps

Matched to your skin tone, theyre a pretty safe bet. (And they make legs look longer.).

20. Wearing white? Seek out light.

Keep in mind: White clothes always look more see-through in daylight. Check yourself out in a bright setting to be safe, like Jennifer Lawrence must have done.

21. Stripe It Up

Striped pieces are a nice, classic way to pull yourself together for the weekend, says stylist Tina Chai. A red- or navy-and-white bateau neck, for instance, has presence and versatility.

22. Upgrade Your Buttons

Sometimes, the only giveaway that your cute jacket cost less than lunch money is its cheap hardware. Swap in nicer buttons, or have a tailor do it.

23. Never Buy a Boring Coat

Outerwear should never be an afterthought, says Holmes amp Yang co-designer Jeanne Yang.

So many people only see you in your coat—if youre not wearing something great underneath your trench, theyll never even know! Look for a stylish coat, like Olivia Culpos here.

24. Own Something Leopard

Make the print a staple in your accessories wardrobe, says stylist Rob Zangardi. Its timeless, racy enough, and always glamorous.

25. Mix Your Prints

Combining colors, scale, and patterns in a way that looks dynamic takes practice, but there are some basic tricks to getting it right.

You can wear two prints that repeat the same colors or mix a large-scale pattern with a smaller one. Whats even easier is to use the second motif as an accent (like Gabrielle Union left).

26. Conquer Your Fear of Color

To play it safe, combine a neutral, like flax, with something bolder, like yellow. But think twice about pairing intense hues with black, which can look dated, says designer Chris Benz.

For something punchier, try two colors that are beside each other on the color wheel, such as coral and orange. Not sure where to begin? Notice what colors you love and respond to in your decor, says Benz.

27. Go For the Knockout Accent

If your evening dress is a stark stunner (or has a lot of embellishment), one single showstopping accessory, like Grace Kellys earrings, is all you need.

28. Vet Your Vintage

Nothing comes back the same way, and the jumpsuit of 2017 is not necessarily the same as a version from the 70s. Check out the difference in Raquel Welchs and Tilda Swintons jumpsuits.

There are subtle design tweaks that make any revival slightly different from the original. Does that piece from your archive really work now? Ask a trusted friend for a second opinion.

29. Only Buy a Bargain if You Love It

Be dubious of that voice that tells you youve got to buy because its only $39 or that if you dont scoop it up now, youll never find it again.

30. Try a Thicker Waistband

It will accentuate your waist and also help show off your curves. Take a note from Ashley Graham, left.

31. Go Beyond the Blazer

You should already have your go-to tailored jacket. But a wardrobe of less formal toppers will help you look pulled together even on casual days.

Opt for a leather jacket with wool trousers, a jean version over a silk shirt, or-stylists favorite!-an army jacket over just about anything.

32. Master Menswear

Don a pantsuit a la Bianca Jagger and youll immediately stand up straighter.

Anna Johnson, author of Savvy Chic, says a waistcoat, a crisp pin-striped shirt, or a really big watch or cravat telegraphs power. Dont forget to balance it out with lipstick and taller shoes.

33. Make Friends With a Good Tailor

Nothing raises the quality of moderately priced clothes more than having them altered to suit your shape. Build a relationship with a tailor or dressmaker who knows your body and your taste and youll never look back.

34. Look for Twists on Classics

The right tweak can turn a staple into a statement. Try tuxedo pants in a graphic print, a trench in silk—like Priyanka Chopra, or the classic L.L. Bean tote in camouflage.

35. Dont Skimp On a T-Shirt Bra

The right one will give you confidence and shape under those unforgiving tissue-thin tees.

36. Add an Element of Surprise

Whether its grosgrain with sequins, a motorcycle jacket over a formal gown, an oversize choker with an easy white T, or a vivid shoe like Kerry Washingtons, a touch of contrast makes good outfits great.

37. Recast Your Jewelry

•Loop a chain through the clasp of a brooch. Suddenly, its a necklace!. •Use the same jewel to add a touch of sparkle to your handbag.

•Wrap your chains or lariat around your wrist for a tough luxe bracelet. •Snap clip-on earrings onto flats for an instant evening shoe.

38. Spend Your Budget on Accessories

Cool shoes, interesting jewelry—those can really elevate your look, says stylist Isabel Dupré, who notes that a wardrobe of the right little extras lets you be more relaxed about the rest of your outfit.

39. Have a Stylist Emergency Kit

• Double-stick tape for loose hems or a gaping bodice. • Tide To Go eraser pen for getting wine off whites, fast. • Safety pins for allover damage control. • Bra clip to control peekaboo straps.

• Lint brush or roller to run over your coat or woolens. • Makeup sponge for removing deodorant stains.

40. Pair Loose With Tight

Few mortals can pull off head-to-toe baggy. So take a cue from Charlize Theron and team your billowing pieces with something body-conscious. (Hint: This is what leggings were made for.).

41. Jazz Up Your LBD

Simpler shapes cry out for styling. Try dressy jackets or a slip-on shrug, colored shoes and bags like Mandy Moore, or tinted sheers plus booties.

42. Dress for First Class

You want to be comfy, sure, but also chic enough to be tapped for an upgrade. A sharp blazer and scarf or a leather jacket is the unofficial uniform of jet-setters worldwide, as shown by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

To complete the outfit, just throw on jeans or leggings, then add flats, heels, or riding boots.

43. Get Studs

Fake or real, big or small, they will go with any color, fabric, or style of cocktail dress and will never compete with other jewelry, says stylist Rob Zangardi, who works with Rachel McAdams.

44. Check the Rise

On trousers, the distance between the crotch and the waistband is critical to the fit. Its also not something thats easily altered, so make sure pants are neither too snug nor droopy in this area before you buy them.

Joan Smalls shows off the perfect fit.

45. Do a Cashmere Quality Test

• The thicker the knit, the denser its gauge, which means there is more cashmere in it. • Gently stretch the body of the sweater to test if it snaps back. A lower-quality cashmere wont.

• While some great cashmere is milled in the U.S. and in China, a label that says Made in Scotland or Made in Italy often indicates a superior weave.

46. Create Your Own Lookbook

Got compliments on your outfit today? Snap a photo of it with your phone. Youll have a quick reminder of what to wear the next time youre in a rush.

47. Think in Multiples

Take a cue from Jackie O, who had a closet full of sheath dresses. If you find an especially flattering fit right off the rack, go ahead and buy doubles. When it works, why question it?.

48. Can You Say DOrsay?

This style pump will always slim down a thick ankle because the vamp is cut close to the toe box and the sides are cut away. Super-flattering.

49. Dress for Your Body, Not Age

Arms svelte enough for a sleeveless sheath? Legs toned enough for shorts? Take a note from Julianne Moore and show off what youve got-while youve still got it.

50. ...But Watch Out for the Matronly Tipping Point

The pleated silk skirt or little pastel jacket that looked so cute on you at 25 can start turning frumpy at 40.
