What are your core values regarding your business?

• Serve customers the best ways you know?

– quickly?

Respectfully?

• Provide the best product in the best way you know?

• Treat your team mates the best way you know?

– respectfully?

So, what about the people on your team?

What do they know about your core values?

Have you written them down … and do you enforce them?

Do they know what is acceptable?

… not acceptable? … and do they live by those values?

Do your team members even know your vision for this business?

Is it written down and enforced?

Do you recruit people for their character and values?

Or what they tell you they have for skills?

You can't train character and values.

As a small business owner, you don't have the time.

Congruence and enforcement are major keys to this process!

If people feel they can violate your core values, and get away with it, then your business

has no real core values.

Your team ceases to be a real team.

And then there is no real reason customers should want to keep doing business with you.

Customers can keep searching until they find a business that treats them the way they want

to be treated - Consistently.

And where does that leave you and your plans for growth?

These are a couple of the key steps toward creating a team that you can have confidence

in.

A team that is fully enrolled in your vision, and in your core values toward your customers,

and each other, that will be the kind of people that you can train and delegate important

activities, knowing they will represent you properly.

Let's Build a Better World - From the grassroots up! - Duration: 0:54.

Dr Mehreen Faruqi is just so energetic and so committed and she really brings

people together so I think she'd be a great choice to represent the people of

New South Wales in the Senate. Mehreen brings a track record of working

on things that matter, building an inclusive society, living in harmony with

nature. I think of things as very grassroots and I want someone who can

actually relate to the people and Mehreen Faruqi is a person that relates to

the people on many levels. I would trust Mehreen to stand up to the culture of

lobbying in Canberra and to stand up to the oligopoly of the two-party system.

She's across so many issues and personally I just think we need Mehreen

Faruqi. I think she would make a senator that we would be proud of
