North Korea missile that could OBLITERATE United States caught experts off guard

sparked fears of when it was reported Kim Jong-un had held meetings with senior advisors to discuss the possibility of launching a missile attack on the US territory of Guam.

Donald Trump promised to retaliate with "fire and fury" as tensions between Pyongyang and Washington escalated, and they threaten to spiral out of control as North Korea said it saw joint US-South Korea military exercises as an act of war.

, seemingly, released the information of two new powerful intercontinental ballistic missiles after he was pictured from his chemical research facilities. The North Korean dictator was pictured with diagrams of the proposed rockets, which experts claim could strike Washington, on the wall.

Reuters' Seoul deputy bureau chief Jack Kim claimed the information had caught experts across the world off guard.

He said: "There is one picture that shows a three-stage ballistic missile, called the Hwasong-13, which is believed to be a more powerful ballistic missile that could possibly hit all of the US mainland.

"That's what is alarming some people who have seen the picture." According to state media, North Korea decided against firing a missile at Guam, instead opting to wait for the "foolish Yankee's" next move.

Kim Jong-un, however, insisted his weapons were ready to be launched if Donald Trump provoked him.

Jack Kim added: "What is interesting is that North Korea state media have decided to show these pictures at this particular time, when it appears North Korea and the are both trying to lower tensions slightly after weeks of very harsh rhetoric directed at each other.

"It's possibly a message from North Korea that it's continuing to pursue developing ICBMs and other kinds of missiles such as the submarine launch missile, which is also seen in a separate picture." Kim Jong-un and North Korea have not just levelled threats against the US, the rogue state has told the UK it faces a "miserable end' if it joins military exercises alongside troops from South Korea and the US.

In a statement, North Korea's state news agency said the drills acted as proof of Washington's intention to invade.

The statement said: "The reality vividly shows that the US ambition for stifling North Korea remains unchanged no matter how much water may flow under the bridge and the puppet group's ambition for invading the north remains unchanged.

"Availing ourselves of this opportunity, we solemnly warn not only the US and puppet group but also satellites, including UK and Australia, which are taking advantage of the present war manoeuvres against the North that they would face a miserable end if they join in and play with fire by tiger moths of war.".
