When the recession hit,

it hit us fairly hard.

I've had to cut back on a lot

of things that we do for the

athletics.

You know, our biggest

challenges is making sure our

kids have all that they need

to compete when,

economically,

that's just a challenge.

To put together

a state of the art fitness

facility,

when you have HVAC systems

that are on the blink...there's

a priority.

Weight rooms are expensive.

You know, we know if they're

here with us they're safe

and they're doing something

worthwhile to better

themselves, and no better place

to do that than the weight

room.

Really,

in this community, like,

you have to,

you have to stay doing

something positive. I mean,

cause if you're not, you're

most likely to get in trouble.

We just lift, lift,

lift. Trying to get stronger

and faster.

I've been wanting to fix this

place up since I've started

lifting.

What would you change about it?

Everything.

Everything.

The Lift Life Foundation is

a nonprofit foundation,

and our mission is to find

underfunded high school weight

rooms across the country,

go in and bring these

weight rooms back to life.

We started painting,

today we got the flooring going

in, graphics going in.

We're unloading 130,000

pounds of equipment today,

all by hand.

We work so hard to

put it all together and then

it's like it comes to life.

Wow.

I didn't expect this.

This is over the top.

It's amazing. I've never lifted

in something this nice before,

so I gotta get used to it.

Oh my God.

It's world class.

State of the art.

10 times what we expected,

honestly.

This is tremendous.

There are entities in this

city that have a vested

interest in the well-being

of students,

and families,

and this is proof.

Someone walks into the weight

room I want them to see

the potential

and promise of what that

weight room represents.

Whatever they're striving to

achieve, that that weight room

is kind of a sanctuary for them

to go into and to put

everything they have to achieve

their goal.

'We can fight TONIGHT!' North Korea threats have United States army at the ready

stated its intention to launch missile attacks on a US air base in Guam after reports claimed Kim Jong-un had held talks with aides to discuss the ramifications of such an attack.

promised to retaliate with "fire and fury" in a Twitter outburst, as he told the rogue state's despot leader his forces were "locked and loaded" on North Korea.

The Kim regime called off any attacks, instead choosing to wait on the "foolish Yankee's" next move before firing their readied missiles, according to state media.

Amid the heightened tensions between Washington and Pyongyang, the US and South Korea have held their annual joint military exercises, something the North has long condemned.

With North Korea insisting the exercises are fuelling the fire, the leader of the US military in South Korea has said his forces are ready to move.

General Vincent Brooks said: "We have the responsibility of providing military options to our national leaders. "Exercises are a way of making the option is a ready option, a capable option.

"Being in readiness to fight tonight, if we have to, is something we will do." .

Balbina Hwang, an expert on the rogue state, said the increased level of missile tests by the Kim regime shows why it is vital for the US to be ready for an attack.

She told : "It is very important for the UN forces, US and South Korea to be able to maintain modern and capable defences and deterrents – that is the purpose of the exercises." North Korea has appeared to have revealed details of two as-yet untested missile systems in its press coverage.

Photographs released by KCNA state news agency shows Kim Jong-un visiting a facility at the Academy of Defence Sciences shows wall charts describing the new missiles.

It is not the first time that North Korea has "accidentally" left details of important developments in the background of photoshoots, and this is seen by analysts as a mean of demonstrating its military power while sending messages to its enemies.

Kim Jong-un is said to have ordered scientists at the facility to produce more solid rocket fuel and warhead tips, which seemingly fit with the details displayed on the wall charts, according to state media.

North Korea – US defector's sons born in rogue state threaten to 'WIPE OUT' America

sparked fears of after reports from Pyongyang hinted its despot leader had held meetings with his aides to discuss the ramifications of striking the US territory of Guam with a missile attack.

issued his own threat, warning the rogue state he will retaliate with "fire and fury" to even a hint of a missile leaving North Korea bound for the Pacific island.

The Kim regime seemingly backed down, telling the US President they are waiting on his next move before firing their readied missiles.

Despite the lack of missile attacks, the two nations have continued their war of words with North Korea making the latest move with a bizarre propaganda video.

Appearing in a video released by North Korea, Ted and James Dresnok confirmed the death of their father James Dresnok. Their father was a US Army defector who fled to North Korea in 1962 and passed away aged 74 earlier this year.

Ted and James, who are believed to be North Korea's only white citizens, confirmed their father's death before addressing Donald Trump during the interview posted on state-run Uriminzokkiri.

Ted Dresnok said "US imperialists" are raising "war hysteria madness" while knowing very little about North Korea as a country.

He said: "We will not miss the opportunity and wipe the land of the US from the earth forever!" His brother James added: "We have our dear supreme commander Kim Jon-un.

"If he is by our side, our victory is certain. " Both men were born in North Korea and speak Korean with a Northern accent.

Their father was among a handful of American servicemen to desert after the Korean war, and was the only US soldier to still be living in North Korea five decades after defecting.

Ted and James both confirmed their father had been loyal to the Kim regime after dying of a fatal stroke.

"Our father was in the arms of the republic and received only the love and care of the party until his passing at age 74," said Ted.
