Hey awesome ones! Heather here... so let's just get a little serious for a moment.

Life can be full of responsibilities and we have to be so efficient and

everything and that's why it's really important to put some fun in your life

every single day. Okay we're not gonna be serious anymore. I have this.... you might

have seen this on other videos that we've done, but I have this saying on the

front hall...hanging up in the front hall in our home and it's just a reminder

that many days are meant for playing. So how do I do that? How do I keep fun in my

life? Well one of the things that I do as you can see with my

Tigger shirt here is I put it into my day-to-day clothing, well at least the

fun days, you know where you're just having fun with family and friends and

that's what this video is all about. So let's get going on it.

So my number one way to put a little bit more fun in your life and your style, are

with my socks.....and as you can see here I've got my bear hug socks on so if the kids

are coming over to the house for dinner they know they're gonna get their bear

hugs, but also let's look at a few more.... they're are also cute dog socks.... alien socks....

under the sea socks.... hey these ones are kind of sparkly. I mean there are all

different kinds of socks I've got tons of them and I'm just gonna show off a few

more.... there's Christmas socks these two mean a lot to me because they make a

great Christmas gift. You know your kids .....why should they spend all kinds of money

on big presents for you when my daughters have got me.... one of my

daughters got me this popcorn one hey we just watched a movie last night and we

had popcorn so that's the thing that one of my daughters does with me is watch

movies. The other daughter really loves to go out and have sushi with me, so she

for one Christmas bought me these beautiful little sushi socks and you

know what's really important about all this?.... what's really important is that

these socks mean something sentimentally and when I wear them I'm usually maybe

watching a movie with one of my daughters or eating some sushi so that's

a great idea also as a gifts and hey guess what guys can wear their funny

socks too and don't kid yourself guys want to have fun and yeah you might not

see them sort of standing out there as far as the socks are concerned, but it's

a smile it really is. So my number two fun fashion item are earrings. Yeah you

know....take a look at what the day is..... if it's Valentine's Day put on some

hearts, if it's Halloween put on some scary earrings. Let me just

show you a few more that I've got here. I've got

these really cute little dolphin earrings, well here hold on for a second

let me just get these, they're all wrapped around but uh yeah they don't

even....these earrings they don't even hang the same length and I kind of like that

they're they're from a designer they weren't super expensive but they're so

cute....I've got crazy little dolphins...I have....did you see those? Sorry

oh they're not even dolphins they're penguins....there you go....haste makes waste.

I've also got some really cute little Mickey and Minnie ones, you know you go

into some of these.....you go into some of these little stores, maybe it's a craft

store or maybe it's, you know some kind of a little gift shop. If it's speaking

to you and it's a cute little pair of earrings get them, you know it really is

cute and of course how could I ever not have my little Tigger earrings. I'm

wearing the Tigger t-shirt right now and I love to wear him, I have him in glasses

and mugs, he's such a happy guy he's just so, you know what does he say....fun fun fun

fun fun, so you know that's, I just love that....now mind you I'm not gonna wear a

pair of Mickey and Minnie earrings to a power meeting or something like that, but

hey when I'm out with Bill or or with the kids or with friends, it just sort

of adds a little bit more humor to the day. So just before we get into the next

item, I just want to remind you that I'm going to try to find similar items of

these fun items, you know like the socks and that sort of thing,

but I'm not going to be able to find exact I know that for sure, but at least

it's a really good place to start. So what I'm going to do for a lot of the

items in this in this video I'm going to in the first comment link back to my

blog where I will show you where to find similar items....

and hey you know if you get something there thank you so much for supporting

the channel we really appreciate it. So my third fun fashion item is get

yourself a fun watch. You remember those Mickey and Minnie Mouse earrings that I

showed you just a few minutes ago, well when my first daughter was born okay

we're talking about maybe 30 years ago, Bill can you do a close-up on this for

us..... I purchased for myself this Mickey Mouse

watch and the reason that I got it was really to remind myself I wanted to be

even a little bit more childlike. I wanted to enjoy my time with her and

this Mickey Mouse watch now.... it...it's got me through all four of the kids....having

fun with them and I'm every time I look at the time I'm reminded to...to smile and

add a sense of laughter, sense of humor to their days and my Mickey Mouse watch

now....it sits quietly by and although I'm wearing it I know that

one day the grandchildren will come along and it's going to be there for

them too. It's a fun item but it's also very sentimental. So my fourth fun

fashion item would be your closing.... closing.... your clothing and you know I'm

gonna concentrate a little bit more just on tops and things like that but let's

take a look at some of these things that I consider to be fun.....do you remember those

days, hey do you remember the...the fringe tops, well everything old is new again

and these fringe jackets are actually very popular right now and I just love

this one. When I'm wearing it I....I just think fun. I also found this retro dress

now I do wear a pair of leggings underneath it, but oh when I put it on...

and so many people it just makes them smile too they're they're telling me how

much they love that little dress and they remember wearing things like

that a long time ago..... also I remember when I bought this little Yorkie top,

my daughter said you're not gonna wear that are you and oh yeah

hey I walk a little Yorkie dog so of course I'm gonna wear a funny little

shirt like this it makes me smile. Now the other thing that you can purchase as

well is....let's just say that you go to a great concert and they've got the

t-shirts there....well I feel fantastic and I'm thinking about the music when I'm

wearing some of these t-shirts and all of these were from concerts some of them

are looking actually a little bit old but, I wanted to share them with you

because when I when I wear these t-shirts I'm usually thinking about the

wonderful time I had or maybe I'm gonna put on the music and just live my 70s

and 80s again....so there you go. All right so last but not least....number five are

you know....fun Footwear and if you saw the boots video the stylish boost video that

I did....I'll put it up there somewhere, you may remember these polka-dotted rain

boots that I wore and hey do I wear these things....

I left the mud on just to show you that I've been splashing around in some....in

some puddles with them. I just absolutely love them and they come in all different

colors red and white and green and they come in flowers and abstract designs the

whole gambit.... you can also get them in a higher look and....but I just love these.

Now Bill if you want to take a look at my......I'll put those over there....take a look

at my feet here. Oh my gosh. I love these running shoes. You probably have seen

them before and I don't go with the high tops I like these because you know

they're a little less assuming....you can't really....they're just a cute pair of shoes

and they are so retro what they actually do, is they kind

of bring me back to my childhood and make me feel like a kid again and

there's nothing wrong with that. So I hope this video really helped you to

rethink how a few fun accessories and clothing can really just light up the

day, make it more fun for yourself and maybe even your loved ones as well and

your friends and I really hope that....that you start to really realize if you

haven't already that some days are really just meant for playing....and

talking about playing and keeping it fun and putting a smile on your face....our

little Hurricane, eh Hurricane.....I know that he puts a smile on our face and also for

a lot of you subscribers he's doing the same for you....so I'm glad you're enjoying

Fashion Fixes at Any Size - Duration: 3:44.

Rosie Mercado is no stranger to the runway

and today she's gonna share some of her favorite

fashion fixes to help us feel sexier at any size.

And always great fashion tips, but today we're calling

them fashion fixes Fixes, absolutely.

So what's numero uno?

Number one: the Double B.

Drop a size with the Double B: boots and belts.

Any belt that you add to an outfit

give you an instant A line and it's flattering

for any body shape.

And this is always my go-to.

I love it during the winter.

You can see before.

That is my regular dress and look how.

What a difference!

What a difference because I have a smaller waist

Holy smokes. So it really

emphasizes the beautiful parts and the curves

of a woman.

So, I love this because this gives me confidence,

I feel good, I feel chic, and tights and boots

actually makes our legs look longer with any outfit.

So I absolute, that's one of my go-to looks

and it's something that,

when I look at a picture and I'm walking in my boots

and my belt and my dress--

Double B!

I feel confident.

Belts and boots. Belts and boots, baby.

I have to say, those before and afters, spectacular!

It is. A lot of time

you look at before and afters and you're like eh, really?

What a difference that makes.

It just looks more fashionable and everything.

It's a winner.

As women, we wanna look well put together.

It's those simple little accessories

that change any outfit.

But, the outfits that I wore in these pictures

and the outfit that I'm wearing today, everything,

including the shoes, is under $60, so I make it work

and that's not an excuse to not feel good and look good.

And speaking of what you're wearing today,

what's your next tip?

The next tip, ooh la la.

You ladies, thick thighs saves lives, yes,

but if you want the illusion of longer legs,

a little side detail on any jean, any pant,

makes you look like you have longer legs

and, you know, it's just flattering

to any curve, any body.

So I really love any kind of jean

that you add any element of floral work, any beaded, stones,

anything that you add to a jean,

it just really gives it a little extra punch.

A stripe?

And a stripe, yeah.

Fashion stripes are really big.

Those sporty stripes, they just make you look,

there you go.

It really accentuates any kind of curve,

and again, any different body type can absolutely wear it.

And the best thing is just wear it with confidence.

Wait, and no one can see this but

I think the best thing is just putting outfits

that make you feel good.

You don't have to spend a lot of money

and, at the end of the day, the compliment,

the biggest compliment you can have is your confidence.

A big smile and know that you're worthy,

know that you're beautiful, you're unique,

and that's all that you need in the world to keep going.

And to add to that confidence, really quickly.

You have a last tip, this rule of threes.

What's that all about?

Rule of three, so ladies,

you do not wanna mix in more than three colors

because sometimes we will look like a hot mess.

So just keep it no more than three colors in any outfit.

Keep it basic, keep it beautiful, and remember,

we want all the attention to come to our beautiful face

and that beautiful smile.

And I must say, red, white, and black--

Met Gala 2018: Fashion Preview for 'Sunday Best' Dress Code | THR News - Duration: 2:22.

The 2018 Met Gala — aka the fashion Super Bowl — is almost here,

and stylist Elizabeth Saltzman jokes that

"there isn't a cross left in New York City." She is, of course,

referring to the dress code of this year's event, which is 'Sunday Best"

to tie in with the "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination"

exhibition opening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.

Plenty of A-listers are slated to attend the annual extravaganza,

with one luxury fashion house representative revealing they

have heard there may be some "Pope" looks and

some "Madonna" looks — "the virgin mother and the singer,"

although only the singer will actually be in attendance.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour will grace the red carpet

as will gala co-chairs Rihanna, Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace.

They will be joined by celebrities such as Chadwick Boseman,

Evan Rachel Wood, Priyanka Chopra, Gary Oldman,

Selena Gomez, Jimmy Fallon, Jared Leto and Jaden Smith.

Sources say there will also be a small red carpet moment

for Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Mindy Kaling and Anne Hathaway,

who star in the upcoming film 'Ocean's 8' which centers around a

female crew who pull off a diamond heist at the Met Gala.

Over the past 70 years, the Met Gala — a fundraiser for the

museum's Costume Institute — has had its fair share of controversy

where dress codes are concerned. Last year's Comme des Garcons

exhibition opened with a bash that called for "avant-garde"

dress and had Jaden Smith carrying his freshly-shorn dreadlocks in his hand.

And in 2013, the "Punk: Chaos to Couture" exhibition

had the most privileged stars on the planet trying to mimic

an anti-establishment fashion movement of working-class heroes.

Wiz Khalifa's stylist for the evening — Jason Bolden, who is also

styling Yara Shahidi and Sasha Lane — says,

"I was actually kinda nervous, that it was going to be

controversial like last year. But I have to say, out of all my Met galas,

I'm the most confident about this one. You're going to have

classic Versace vibes with crosses, and you will also have

Rihanna taking it to the max. I hope people don't go so obvious."

But there could be controversy, however, as the exhibition,

which runs May 10 to Oct. 8, explores the role dress plays in

the Roman Catholic Church, and includes medieval artifacts,

papal robes and accessories from the Sistine Chapel,

many of which have not been seen outside the Vatican.

These will be displayed alongside divine garments by Karl Lagerfeld,

Dolce & Gabbana and Versace, among other designers,

many of whom were raised Catholic and inspired

in their work by the church's pomp and pageantry.

The 2018 Met Gala red carpet action begins at 4 p.m. PT. on

Hear ye, hear ye! The Royal nuptials of Prince Henry Charles Albert David- whoo,

that's a long one- and Miss Rachel Meghan Markle have finally arrived, and we are

ready! Are you?

I know I'm not alone in being pretty excited about the upcoming Royal wedding.

This is kind of a big deal, since Meghan is living every girl's dream of becoming

a princess. This is a legit fairytale in real life. so whether you're a lady or a

commoner who did not get an invite- I know mine was lost in the mail- you can

celebrate like a Royal with your very own wedding watch party! I have some easy

and delicious ideas of what you can serve for the wedding of the year. And

the best part is you can do it all while staying in your pajamas!

Meghan Markle is the first American to marry into the Royal family since 1937,

when Wallis Simpson married the Duke of Windsor after he abdicated the throne.

See, Simpson was a divorced woman, and Edward VIII was not permitted to marry

her. So the King gave up his throne to marry his love in exile. But times have

changed, and though Markle is also divorced, members of the Royal family can

marry whomever they want now. Huzzah! This Royal wedding will be held in

St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, the same place where Charles and Camilla

married. But unlike his father, the younger prince will be having a huge

bash. Harry and Meghan are embracing their respective countries in planning their

big day. So for my menu, I will be making some traditional British foods but with a

little American flair thrown in. The best part is you can make everything ahead of

time! For us in America, the wedding will be shown very early in the morning. Make

the typical tea tray of brunch foods that you and your guests can graze

throughout the morning's festivities. no tea tray would be complete without

scones. You can have any flavor and it's so easy to add fruits or nuts to a basic

scone recipe. For sandwiches, use English cucumbers and cream cheese- an American

creation. And to top the tray off, serve some mini cakes. Now for the tea! Being up

so early to watch the wedding parades, you're going to want to caffeinate,

and this is the perfect occasion to try something new! American tea company

Harney & Sons has re-released their Royal Wedding tea blend for this special day.

This is a white tea with pink rosebuds. The description alone sounds like the

perfect choice for a wedding. But if you prefer something less floral and with

more of a boost, why not try the pomegranate berry green tea from

Twinings? The company has been the official tea supplier for the Royal

family since 1837. So pinkies up to the prince and princess!

Just want to point out that this in India means you need to go to the bathroom. For their

wedding cake, Prince Harry and Meghan will not have the traditional fruitcake- ew.

Instead, they will serve a lemon and elderflower cake. And ever since this

flavor combo was announced, it has started popping up everywhere! Trader

Joe's has come out with this lemon elderflower soda. You know, you could just

make a cocktail out of that and just add some Pimms or gin, and it is the perfect

way to toast the newlyweds! And don't worry, it will be after noon in London, so

enjoy some of that guilt free day drinking. Because I know I will be. So let
