I am Douwe de Boer

I study Fashion Design at ArtEZ

and I am currently working on my finals collection

the core of my collection is purely about form

I am very fascinated by how new forms can be explored through fashion

and especially through moulage

which to me allows the form to speak for itself

you will hardly see any prints in the design

prints may only be used in accessories

but it will be purely about the figure established by the form

the collection originates from the moment when we dream

and fragments from our daily life start to form a certain reality or a new world

that is what I translate into form

by doing the same with basic clothing patterns

through extracting fragments and combining them with other forms

and make a new design from it

I think the resulting designs suit me very well

I think people will see Douwe in it

I hope so anyway
