President Moon is flying to Washington again next week.

With all the rapid development and abrupt changes as we build up to another historic

summit, it's good to know the sit-down between the liberal leader and his American counterpart

is now fixed.

Cha Sang-mi outlines what to expect from that meeting.

The Blue House has revealed President Moon Jae-in's Washington summit schedule for next

week.

At a press briefing on Friday, the Blue House National Security Office deputy director announced

that the President is to arrive in Washington on Monday evening, local time.

He will then spend the night at the Blair House, an official VIP guesthouse at the White

House.

The next morning, Moon is scheduled to meet with Washington's key figures in charge of

foreign and security policies.

As for the most anticipated part of his trip -- a sit-down with Trump -- the Blue House

confirmed, that the meeting will be just between the two leaders, with no attendees other than

the interpreters.

After the one-on-one, Moon and Trump will move to an expanded meeting over a business

lunch.

After his meetings with Trump, President Moon will visit the Korean Legation in Washington

to commemorate the 130th anniversary of its opening and the 136th anniversary of the 1882

signing of the United States-Korea Treaty of Peace.

Moon will touch down back in Korea early Thursday Korean time.

The NSC deputy director expressed his wish for a successful Seoul-Washington summit:

"We hope President Moon's visit this time will serve as a chance to strengthen the friendship

and ties between the heads of South Korea and the U.S. and develop the two countries'

alliance and partnership for the future."

Over the past year, the two leaders have kept close touch, holding 4 summits and 11 phone

conversations.

This summit is the fifth meeting between South Korea and the U.S. since President Moon came

to office.

President Moon Jae-in flies to Washington next week for his second White House summit

with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Their discussions are expected to be dominated by North Korea with Trump scheduled to hold

his own highly-anticipated summit with Kim Jong-un on June 12th.

Harry Harris, head of U.S. Pacific Command, nominated for U.S. ambassador to South Korea - Duration: 0:41.

U.S. President Donald Trump has nominated the head of the U.S. Pacific Command, Admiral

Harry Harris as U.S. ambassador to South Korea.

The announcement comes at a critical juncture, just weeks ahead of a landmark North Korea-U.S.

summit scheduled to take place in Singapore.

If confirmed by the Senate, the 61-year old commander will fill a post that has been vacant

since Trump took office in January 2017.

Harris has been leading the U.S. Pacific Command in Hawaii for the past three years, which

also oversees U.S. troops in South Korea.

He has expressed hawkish views on North Korea in the past, previously describing the regime

as the "most volatile and dangerous threat" in the region.

(Laughter.)

US - Hawaii's Kilauea volcano summit erupts - Duration: 1:33.

Shooting a plume of ash 30,000 feet into the air...

Hawaii's Kilauea volcano erupted

just before dawn this Thursday morning.

Over a dozen fissures of lava have opened up in the past two weeks

destroying at least 37 homes.

Residents are trying their best to protect their properties.

"You see the plumes come in,

you think,

ash is gonna be covered all over the place,

so,

you know, trying to

get things covered as much as possible.

We're prepared as much as possible,

you know, with masks and things like that so..."

But the volcanic activity wasn't enough

to put these Islanders off their game of golf.

'About five hundred years ago,

lava was where we build,

where we live.

Will it come again?

Yeah, probably but hopefully not in my lifetime.

We live on a volcano!"

The crater sits within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

which has been closed since May 11th

because of the risk of a more violent eruption.

Officials say that the volcano shouldn't be dangerous

if people stay out of the park and follow evacuation orders.

"The worst case,

what we're told is planned were about a thousand,

but some of that,

what they don't know is

we believe some of the population may be left to stay there,

because they're so self-sufficient."

But despite these assurances,

images like this are putting off many tourists.

Cancellations for the summer have already cost the economy

at least 5 million dollars.

Hillary Announces She's MOVING Out Of U.S. Because Of Trump - Duration: 11:11.

Hillary Announces She's MOVING Out Of U.S.

Because Of Trump – Isn't Going To Like Place She Picked!

Hillary Clinton was recently talking about moving out of the United States after she

lost the 2016 election.

She was likely devastated by the loss as Donald Trump won the election, stopping Hillary from

becoming the first female American president.

Her stunning loss came at the hands of a man with no political experience, but that of

reality television and business and people were left in tears when she lost.

People still complain today, over a year after the election and with disregard to Trump making

wonderful progress on some issues important to Americans.

Hillary's talk of moving out of the country saw herself moving to New Zealand, all the

way on the other side of the planet from her comfy home here in America where she's persistently

criticized and possibly faces legal trouble after being caught up in a money laundering

scandal with the Democratic National Committee.

Hillary might claim it was only a joke that she's moving out of America, but sometimes

jokes are later revealed as truth.

Even though her comments were jokes, for now, many wonder if they'll turn out to be true

if there are any pending legal actions.

It makes sense for her to pull a Roman Polansky and run from the country if she faces legal

actions.

Breitbart reported more on Clinton's joke about moving out of America: "Hillary Clinton

joked on Monday that she thought about permanently relocating to New Zealand after her crushing

2016 presidential election loss to Donald Trump.

"I received a number of invitations from Kiwis to permanently relocate here," Clinton

said in Auckland.

"I must say I really appreciated the offers and gave them some thought, but I'm going

to stay put because we have work to do in my country as well."

Clinton said she wanted to help Democrats "crack the code" to beat Trump the "reality

TV" candidate" in 2020.

"Part of our problem was this unprecedented reality TV campaign and him being the first

reality TV candidate in our history," she reportedly said.

Clinton said reporters were acting like they "were watching a car wreck or train wreck

all the time" in 2016 and "they couldn't take their eyes away."

"They didn't know what to make of it," Clinton said, referring to Trump's "insults

and his scapegoating and his horrible comments about people with disabilities and Latin Americans

and immigrants and everybody."

She added, "It was just so hard to understand."

Clinton then said it took a "perfect storm" of events for Trump to defeat her: "Deep

currents of anger and resentment flowing through our culture.

Our political press that told voters my emails were the most important story.

The unprecedented intervention in our election by the FBI director.

The information warfare waged from within the Kremlin."

She added that the "forces at work in the 2016 election in the United States are still

with us" not only in the United States but around the world.

"We're having a very important struggle in the United States right now," Clinton

said.

"It's difficult to fully grasp because there are 20 stories and people are getting

overwhelmed by the strange goings on we are living through."

What's very funny is that Hillary and her fans still complain about Trump winning the

election and they continue to "resist" the election results.

The resistance to accepting the presidential election results shows a great weakness and

an ignorant amount of arrogance on one side of politics.

Donald Trump needs support from the politicians who work for him and even those who challenge

him.

Constructive criticism is good, but blatant ignorance and delusional sideshows show where

true failure is and those people who participate in the shenanigans are the same people halting

further progress for Americans.

Will Hillary ever move out of the United States?

No one truly knows but her.

She might be more likely to move if there's any chance of her facing legal charges for

any of her alleged crimes.

If she's about to be prosecuted and finds out about it earlier than expected, then she

might get in a plane and really leave for New Zealand.

Will she like it there?

No one knows that either.

These are all unknown bits of information until Hillary Clinton reveals them herself.

Of course, that's if citizens find out on the mainstream media when something happens

legally.

Although many people find Hillary Clinton to be untouchable, so the people she worked

with might be the first to suffer any legal penalties for various incidents, in particular,

the alleged $84 million that was laundered and recently reported on.

Please share this on social media to let your friends know about Hillary's joke!

They might get excited.

To be serious with them, use this as a way to start a friendly conversation about what

will happen to Hillary Clinton regarding the alleged

crimes

that she's being looked

at for.

Jerusalem Dateline:05/18/18 Prophecy Unfolds As US, Guatemala Move to Jerusalem - Duration: 21:32.

>> Chris: THIS WEEK ON

"JERUSALEM DATELINE," THE

U.S. EMBASSY MAKES THE

MOVE TO JERUSALEM.

>> ON BEHALF OF THE 45th

PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED

STATES OF AMERICA, WE

WELCOME YOU OFFICIALLY AND

FOR THE FIRST TIME TO THE

EMBASSY OF THE UNITED

STATES HERE IN JERUSALEM,

THE CAPITAL OF ISRAEL.

>> Chris:

PLUS...GUATEMALA JOINS THE

U.S. IN MOVING ITS EMBASSY

TO JERUSALEM, AND

PALESTINIAN VIOLENCE

BREAKS OUT ON THE GAZA

BORDER, SUPPOSEDLY IN

REACTION TO THE EMBASSY

MOVE.

BUT WHAT IS REALLY BEHIND

THE RIOT.

HELLO, AND WELCOME TO THIS

EDITION OF "JERUSALEM

DATELINE."

I'M CHRIS MITCHELL.

COMING TO YOU THIS WEEK

WITH THE CITY OF JERUSALEM

BEHIND ME.

70 YEARS TO THE DAY, AND

ALMOST THE VERY HOUR AFTER

PRESIDENT TRUMAN

RECOGNIZED ISRAEL, THE

UNITED STATES MOVED IIS

EMBASSY TO JERUSALEM.

TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT MANY

PEOPLE BELIEVE WAS HISTORY

IN THE MAKING.

TREASURY SECRETARY STEVEN

MNUCHIN UNVEILED THE SEAL.

>> ON BEHALF OF THE 45th

PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED

STATES OF AMERICA, WE

WELCOME YOU OFFICIALLY,

AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, TO

THE EMBASSY OF THE UNITED

STATES HERE IN JERUSALEM,

THE CAPITAL OF ISRAEL.

>> Chris: IN A VIDEO,

HER FATHER, PRESIDENT

TRUMP, SAID HIS DECISION

ACKNOWLEDGED REALITY.

>> President Trump:

ISRAEL IS A SOVEREIGN

NATION WITH THE RIGHT,

LIKE EVERY OTHER SOVEREIGN

NATION, TO DETERMINE ITS

OWN CAPITAL.

YET FOR MANY YEARS, WE

FAILED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE

OBVIOUS: THE PLAIN

REALITY THAT ISRAEL'S

CAPITAL IS JERUSALEM.

>> Chris: ISRAELI PRIME

MINISTER BENJAMIN

NETANYAHU CALLED IT

HISTORIC.

>> WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY.

REMEMBER THIS MOMENT.

[APPLAUSE]

[CHEERING]

>> PRESIDENT TRUMP, BY

RECOGNIZING HISTORY, YOU

HAVE MADE HISTORY.

>> Chris: AMBASSADOR

DAVID FRIEDMAN HOSTED THE

EVENT AND TOLD CBN NEWS

HOW HE FELT ABOUT THE

HISTORIC DAY.

>> WE HAVE BEEN PLANNING

FOR THIS FOR 25 YEARS, AND

THANK GOD IT CAME.

IT WAS JUST AN INCREDIBLE

MOMENT, ONE THAT WILL

PROBABLY TAKE ME WEEKS FOR

ME TO PROCESS ALL OF MY

EMOTIONS.

>> Chris: AFTER NEARLY

23 YEARS, THE JERUSALEM

EMBASSY ACT HAS BEEN

FULFILLED, WITH THE

EMBASSY OF THE UNITED

STATES OF AMERICA HERE IN

JERUSALEM.

BUT SOME SAY IT IS NOT

JUST HISTORY IN THE

MAKING, BUT ALSO PROPHECY

IN ACTION.

>> WE'RE SEEING PROPHECY

UNFOLD.

I DON'T KNOW WHEN THE LORD

IS COMING BACK, BUT I KNOW

TODAY IT GOT A LITTLE BIT

CLOSER.

>> THIS IS ALSO A

PROPHETIC MOMENT BECAUSE

GOD PROMISED ISRAEL, IN

THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY,

CONCERNING THE NATIONS, I

WILL MAKE YOU THE HEAD AND

NOT THE TAIL.

>> Chris: OTHERS SAW IT

AS ISRAEL TAKING ITS PLACE

AMONG THE NATIONS.

>> ONE OF THE MOST VISIBLE

MANFESTOTATIONS OMANIFESTATIONS IN THE

WORLD OF DOUBLE STANDARDS

IS IT IS THE ONLY COUNTRY

NOT ALLOWED TO NAME ITS

CAPITAL.

>> AND IT ALSO TELLS

ISRAEL'S ENEMIES, THIS IS

OUR CAPITAL.

THE AMERICAN EMBASSY IS

HERE.

NOW DEAL WITH IT.

>> Chris: MEANWHILE,

THOUSANDS OF PALESTINIANS

RIOTEDED ALONG THE ISRAELI

ISRAELI-GAZA BORDER TO

PROTEST THE EMBASSY MOVE

AND TO MARK THE NAKBA.

DURING THE RIOTS, GAZAN

OFFICIALS SAID MORE THAN

550 DIED AND HUNDREDS MORE

WERE WOUNDED.

THE I.D.F. DROPPED

THOUSANDS OF LEAFLETS

WARNING PEOPLE TO STAY

AWAY FROM THE BORDER.

>> WE WILL CONTINUE TO

DEFEND OUR SOVEREIGNTY,

OUR CIVILIANS, AND OUR

BORDER.

WE WILL DO SO WHILE TRYING

TO MINIMIZE THE AMOUNT OF

CASUALTIES, BUT WE WILL

NOT LET THE RIOTERS

THROUGH AND TO HARM

ISRAELI CIVILIANS.

>> Chris: ISRAEL SAID

CAPTURED GAZANS TOLD THEM

HAMAS ENCOURAGES CHILDREN

TO CROSS THE FENCE.

THEY SAID THEY WANT THEM

TO SEE IT AS A POPULAR

UPRISING AND NOT INSPIRED

BY HAMAS.

TRUMP'S HISTORY-MAKING

DECISION HAS OPENED THE

DOOR FOR OTHER COUNTRIES

TO FOLLOW.

GUATEMALA FOLLOWED THE

UNITED STATES JUST TWO

DAYS LATER.

ON DECEMBER 25th, 2017,

GUATEMALAN PRESIDENT JIMMY

MORALES ANNOUNCED HIS

COUNTRY WOULD MOVE ITS

EMBASSY TO JERUSALEM.

TODAY IT BECOMES THE

SECOND NATION AFTER THE

UNITED STATES TO

OFFICIALLY DO SO.

CBN NEWS GOT THE FIRST

INTERVIEW WITH THE

PRESIDENT IN ISRAEL.

>> Through Translator:

GUATEMALA HAS BEEN A

BLESSED NATION, AND I

BELIEVE WE HAVE HAD AN

EXCELLENT RELATIONSHIP

WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL

SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF

THE STATE OF ISRAEL, WITH

THE PRESIDENT IN 1948.

AND SINCE THEN, WE'VE HAD

EXCELLENT RELATIONS, AND

WE HAVE TO STRENGTHEN

THEM, AND I BELIEVE WE'LL

BE RECEIVING BLESSINGS FOR

BOTH PEOPLES BY DOING THE

RIGHT THING.

>> Chris: AT THE

OPENING, ISRAELI PRIME

MINISTER BENJAMIN

NETANYAHU WELCOMED

GUATEMALA'S PRESIDENT AND

CITEDECITED THE HISTORIC

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN

ISRAEL AND GUATEMALA.

>> THERE ARE GUATEMALANS

IN MANY CITIES AND

COMMUNITIES IN ISRAEL

BECAUSE WE REMEMBER OUR

FRIENDS.

AND GUATEMALA IS OUR

FRIEND.

>> IT IS A VERY BRAVE

DECISION.

IT'S AN HISTORIC DECISION.

AND WE ARE HAPPY ABOUT

THIS.

WHAT THE PRESIDENT HAS

SAID IS THE CORRECT

DECISION.

>> Chris: SARAH SOLIS IS

THE GUATEMALAN AMBASSADOR

TO ISRAEL.

>> GUATEMALA WAS THE FIRST

ONE TO ESTABLISH AN

EMBASSY IN JERUSALEM IN

1956.

SO NOW WE ADD ANOTHER

MILESTONE TO THIS HISTORY,

THAT IS THE RETURN OF THE

EMBASSY TO JERUSALEM.

>> Chris: GUATEMALA HAS

A HISTORY OF SUPPORTING

ISRAEL.

IN 1948, IT JOINED THE

U.S. IN RECOGNIZING THE

JEWISH STATE.

AFTER PRESIDENT HARRY S.

TRUMAN DID SO FOLLOWING

DAVID BEN-GURION'S

DECLARATION OF

INDEPENDENCE.

>> THERE ARE VERY FEW

COUNTRIES THAT HAVE THIS

KIND OF HISTORY.

SO WE FEEL VERY CLOSE TO

THE STATE OF ISRAEL, AND

WE HAVE CREATED A UNIQUE

FRIENDSHIP.

>> Chris: ISRAELI

LEADERS, INCLUDING MICHAEL

OREN, SEE THE U.S. AND

GUATEMALA AS JUST THE

BEGINNING.

>> WE HAVE IN CLI INDICATIONS

FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC,

FROM HUNGARY, AND SOME

LATIN-AMERICA COUNTRIES,

AND WE'RE EAGERLY AWAITING

THEM.

>> THIS IS NOT THE END OF

A PROCESS.

I BELIEVE, ACTUALLY, IT IS

THE BEGINNING OF A

PROCESS.

WHAT THE U.S.

ADMINISTRATION AND

PRESIDENT TRUMP WAS DOING

WAS, I THINK HE WAS, IN A

WAY, SHOOTING THE STARTING

SHOT FOR A RACE.

I BELIEVE THERE WILL BE

MANY OTHER NATIONS THAT

WILL FOLLOW THE UNITED

STATES.

>> Chris: JERUSALEM

MAYOR NIR BARKAT HELPED

FACILITATE THE NEED.

>> I'M VERY PROUD OF OUR

PARTNERS IN GUATEMALA.

THAT WILL BE THE SECOND

EMBASSY MOVING.

>> I WAS AMAZED BY THE

INNUMERABLE AMOUNT OF

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES

THAT TH THE EMBASSY RECEIVED,

NOT ONLY FROM ISRAEL, BUT

ALL OVER THE WORLD.

IN MANY LANGUAGES.

FROM AFRICA, FROM EUROPE,

FROM LATIN-AMERICA, SAYING

CONGRATULATIONS,

GUATEMALA.

WE SUPPORT YOU.

THEY WERE SAYING, OUR

COUNTRY SHOULD DO THE

SAME.

OUR PRESIDENT SHOULD MAKE

THAT DECISION.

>> Chris: AND THAT'S

WHERE GUATEMALA COMES IN.

IT HAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST

PERCENTAGES OF EVANGELICAL

CHRISTIANS IN THE WORLD.

AND ONE REASON WHY THE

COUNTRY IS ON ITS WAY TO

JERUSALEM.

>> PEOPLE IN GUATEMALA

PRAY FOR THE PEACE IN THIS

REGION, PRAY FOR

JERUSALEM.

AND THEY ARE EXCITED.

THEY TOLD ME IT IS AN

HONOR THAT IT WAS DURING

YOUR TERM.

I FEEL PRIVILEGED.

I FEEL MOVED.

I FEEL THAT THIS IS A GIFT

FROM GOD.

I KNOW THAT A LOT OF

BLESSINGS WILL COME AFTER

THIS DECISION.

THIS IS A PROMISE IN THE

BIBLE, IN GENESIS.

AND I DON'T THINK -- I'M

SURE MANY BLESSINGS WILL

COME FORWARD.

>> Chris: THE SAME DAY

AS THE U.S. EMBASSY MOVED

TO JERUSALEM, PALESTINIANS

RIOTED ALONG THE

GAZA-ISRAELI BORDER.

MORE THAN 60 PALESTINIANS

WERE KILLED AS THEY TRIED

TO RUSH THE FENCE AND GET

INSIDE ISRAEL.

AND FALLOUT CONTINUES

THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE

EAST.

TURKEY EXPELLED ISRAEL'S

AMBASSADOR AND ITS ONE

MORE SIGN THAT THIS FORMER

ALLY IS EMBRACING RADICAL

ISLAM.

PRESIDENT RECEP TAYYIP

ERDOGAN LABELLED ISRAEL'S

ACTS ALONG THE GAZA BORDER

AS GENOCIDE.

ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER

BENJAMIN NETANYAHU SHOT

BACK STATING: "ERDOGAN IS

AMONG HAMAS' BIGGEST

SUPPORTERS.

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT HE

WELL-UNDERSTANDS TERRORISM

AND SLAUGHTER.

I SUGGEST THAT HE NOT

PREACH MORALITY TO US."

OTHER NATIONS ALSO

CRITICIZED ISRAEL,

SPECIFICALLY BLAMING THE

MOVE OF THE U.S. EMBASSY

TO JERUSALEM FOR THE

UNREST.

AMERICA'S U.N. AMBASSADOR

NIKKI HALEY PUT THE BLAME

SOLELY ON HAMAS AND IRAN.

>> IN RECENT DAYS, HAMAS

TERRORISTS, BACKED BY

IRAN, HAVE INCITED ATTACKS

AGAINST ISRAELI SECURITY

FORCES AND INFRASTRUCTURE.

THOSE WHO SUGGEST THAT THE

GAZA VIOLENCE HAS ANYTHING

TO DO WITH THE LOCATION OF

THE AMERICAN EMBASSY ARE

SOARLY MISTAKEN.

THE VIOLENCE COMES FROM

THOSE WHO REJECT TO THE

STATE OF ISRAEL IN ANY

LOCATION.

>> Chris: WHILE THIS

FOOTAGE DOCUMENTED A HAMAS

SQUAD, ARMED WITH GRENADES

AND WEAPONS, TRYING TO CUT

THROUGH THE FENCE.

THE I.D.F. IDENTIFIED 24

OF THE DEAD AS KNOWN

TERRORISTS.

HAMAS ALSO ATTACKED A

KARAM SHALOM CROSSING.

CBN NEWS HAS REPORTED IT

IS THE CROSSING WHERE

ISRAEL SENDS TONS OF FOOD,

FUEL, AND MATERIALS INSIDE

GAZA FOR ITS PEOPLE.

DESPITE THE EVIDENCE,

TURKISH PRESIDENT ERDOGAN

STILL CONDEMNED ISRAEL,

AND BACKED ITS LONG TIME

MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD ALLY,

HAMAS.

>> TURKEY IS MOVING AWAY

FROM ITS FORMER ROLE AS A

RELIABLE WESTERN ALLY AND

AS A NATO MEMBER IN GOOD

STANDING, AND MORE AND

MORE TOWARDS A SENSE THAT

TURKEY IS A STATE DEEPLY

TINGED WITH ISLAMIST

IDEOLOGY, AND ACTING

ACCORDING TO SECTARIAN,

AND QUITE DANGEROUS.

>> Chris: SPIRE SAYS

ERDOGAN HAS EMBARKED ON A

MISSION TO TRANSFORM

TURKEY FROM A SECULAR

REPUBLIC TO AN ISLAMIC

STATE.

MORE THAN 60 PALESTINIANS

DIED IN CONFRONTATIONS

WITH ISRAEL AS THEY TRIED

TO BREACH THE BORDER

BETWEEN GAZA AND ISRAEL.

MUCH OF THE INTERNATIONAL

MEDIA PORTRAYED IT AS

ISRAELIS KILLING INNOCENT,

UNARMED PALESTINIANS.

HAMAS OFFICIALS TELL IS

DIFFERENT STORY.

MUCH OF THE COVERAGE

SEEMED TO SHOW ONE SIDE OF

THE STORY: AN UPRISING TO

PROTEST THE OPENING OF A

U.S. EMBASSY IN JERUSALEM.

BUT "MEMORY," A RESEARCH

INSTITUTE, REACHED A

COMPILATION OF VIDEOS

FOLLOWING MONDAY'S

CONFRONTATIONS THAT GIVE A

MUCH DIFFERENT

PERSPECTIVE.

FOR EXAMPLE, THIS HAMAS

OFFICIAL ADMITTED ON

PALESTINIAN TELEVISION

THAT 50 OF THE 62 PEOPLE

KILLED WERE HAMAS MEMBERS.

MAHKMUD, A SENIOR

OFFICIAL, SAID THIS ON

THE al-JAZEERA NETWORK.

>> THIS IS A CLEAR

DECEPTION.

SO WHEN WE TALK ABOUT

PEACEFUL RESISTANCE, WE'RE

DECEIVING THE PUBLIC.

THIS IS A PEACEFUL

RESISTANCE BOLSTERED BY

MILITARY FORCE AND BY

SECURITY AGENCIES.

>> Chris: THE VIDEO

SHOWED TIRE BURNING AND

WIRE-CUTTING UNITS, SAYING

THEIR HIGHEST ASPIRATIONS

IS TO DIE FOR THE SAKE OF

ALLAH, OR TO TAKE DOWN THE

BORDER FENCE WITH THE

FINGERNAILS OF THEIR

CHILDREN.

THE ISRAELI AMBASSADOR

CALLED THIS A PALESTINIAN

CYCLE OF DEATH.

>> FIRST THEY INCITE

PEOPLE TO VIOLENCE.

AND THEN THEY PLACE AS

MANY CIVILIANS AS

POSSIBLE, INCLUDING WOMEN

AND CHILDREN, IN THE LINE

OF FIRE TO MAXIMIZE

CIVILIAN CASUALTIES.

THEN THEY BLAME ISRAEL,

AND THEN THEY COME HERE TO

COMPLAIN TO THE U.N.

>> Chris: EVEN THIS

PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY

OFFICIAL BLAMED THE P.A.'S

RIVAL, HAMAS.

>> SERIOUSLY, SENDING

CHILDREN TO BE KILLED OR

LOSE A LIMB WHILE YOU'RE

LEADERING ARE HAVING A YOUR

LEADERS ARE HAVING A GOOD

TIME?

>> Chris: SADLY, MANY

MORE MAY LOSE LIMBS OR BE

>> Chris: JUST ONE DAY

AFTER THE HISTORIC MOVE OF

THE U.S. EMBASSY TO

JERUSALEM, I SAT DOWN WITH

U.S. AMBASSADOR TO ISRAEL,

DAVID FRIEDMAN.

FREED MAFRIEDMAN REFLECTED ON WHAT

THE DAY MEANT TO HIM AND

WHAT HIS DAD WOULD HAVE

THOUGHT ABOUT IT, AND HE

TOLD US A LITTLE-KNOWN

STORY ABOUT PRESIDENT

TRUMP.

>> THE INSPIRATION WAS

PALPABLE.

AND THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT

OF RELIEF BECAUSE WE'VE

BEEN PLANNING FOR THIS FOR

25 YEARS, AND THANK GOD IT

CAME.

IT WAS JUST AN INCREDIBLE

MOMENT.

ONE THAT WILL PROBABLY

TAKE ME WEEKS FOR ME TO

PROCESS ALL OF MY

EMOTIONS.

MY FATHER DEDICATED HIS

LIFE TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE.

HE WAS A VERY PROMINENT

RABBI.

ISRAEL TO HIM WAS THE

CULMINATION OF ALL OF THE

HOPES AND PRAYERS OF THE

JEWISH PEOPLE FOR

THOUSANDS OF YEARS.

MY FATHER WAS OF THE

GENERATION THAT SURVIVED

THE HOLOCAUST.

SO THE JUXTAPOSITION OF

THOSE GREAT LOSSES AND THE

CREATION OF ISRAEL HAD A

PROFOUND AFFECT UPON HIM.

AND THAT'S HOW I GREW UP.

AND SO TO SEE THIS HAPPEN,

AS I WAS STANDING THERE, I

COULDN'T STOP THINKING

ABOUT HOW PROUD MY FATHER

WOULD BE AND I WISH HE WAS

ALIVE TO SEE THIS DAY.

PRESIDENT TRUMP IS A VERY

GOOD MAN.

IT IS NOT A DESCRIPTION I

GIVE MANY PEOPLE.

HE IS A GOOD MAN.

HE DOESN'T GET CREDIT FOR

ALL OF THE GOOD THINGS HE

HAS DONE.

I HAVE SEEN MANY OF HIS

ACTS OF KINDNESS AND

CHARITY TOWARDS OTHER.

WHEN I WAS MOURNING MY

FATHER, IT WAS A DAY IN

FEBRUARY, AND THERE WAS A

COMPLETE BLIZZARD ON LONG

ISLAND, AND WE HAD SHIVA

FOR SEVEN DAYS, AND PEOPLE

COME TO VISIT THE HOUSE.

AND NO ONE WAS COMING THAT

DAY BECAUSE THERE WAS THIS

MASSIVE BLIZZARD.

ALL OF A SUDDEN IN HE

WALKS, AND IT TOOK HIM

THREE AND A HALF HOURS IN

A CAR FOR HIM TO GET OUT

TO VISIT ME.

LONG BEFORE POLITICS WAS

ON THE HORIZON.

NOBODY WAS THERE, NO

PRESS.

AND WE SAT FOR TWO HOURS,

AND HE TALKED ABOUT HIS

FATHER, AND I TALKED ABOUT

MY FATHER.

AND WE ARE REALLY LUCKY TO

HAVE HIM IN THE WHITE

HOUSE.

IT IS GREAT TO SEE HOW

THESE COMMUNITIES ARE

GROWING CLOSER AND CLOSER

TOGETHER, BASED UPON A

COMMON WEALTH OF THE LAND

OF ISRAEL, THE PEOPLE OF

ISRAEL, THE DESTINY OF

ISRAEL.

IT IS REALLY A

GAME-CHANGER FOR ISRAEL'S

STABILITY AND SECURITY IN

THE REGION.

THE JEWISH PEOPLE ARE A

SMALL NATION.

THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY IS

NOT A SMALL COMMUNITY.

FOR ISRAEL TO HAVE THESE

TYPES OF FRIENDS, IT IS

REALLY UNPRECEDENTED AND

VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

I KNOW THE PRIME MINISTER

IS DEEPLY APPRECIATIVE OF

THE EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN

COMMUNITY, AS AM I AND AS

Hannity: Trump's legal team is combatting deep state scheme - Duration: 15:47.

right huge developments tonight president Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani

will be joining us in just a few minutes he is telling the Washington Times that

the special counsel Robert Muller is agreeing now finally rightly to limit

the scope of potential questions he wants to ask the president now the

former New York City Mayor is also saying that this could result in a

possible July interview and Muller issuing a final report by labor day of

course before the midterm elections now if true that would be a win for the

president Muller has original questions or completely ridiculous and insane

obviously a perjury trap what were you thinking it doesn't matter what he was

thinking and today is the one-year anniversary of this Muller witch-hunt

and so far the special counsel has not provided a single shred of evidence of

any collusion and collusion is not against the law now the special counsel

has been so abusive so corrupt they are so conflicted that the president and his

legal team they're now rightly going on offense to combat the illicit deep state

scheme now the president tweeting earlier today

congratulations America were now into the second year of the greatest witch

hunt in American history and there's still no collusion no obstruction the

only collusion was that done by the Democrats who were unable to win the

election despite the spending of far more money it's been a year and so far

all Muller is doing is trying to get Paul Manafort to flip and bring up

completely unrelated tax charges dealing with the Ukraine from 2005 to 2007 it

had nothing whatsoever to do with the Trump campaign and if that's not

embarrassing enough look at Muller's embarrassing case against the 13

so-called russian company bought companies that's falling apart how is it

possible with all of these great attorneys like Andrew Weissman that he

indicted a company that didn't exist at the time great job guys also James Comey

telling Congress he didn't think Michael Flynn lied to the FBI why didn't mother

charge by general Flynn anyway there's something very off about what's

happening which flin now this is a monumental abuse of

power it is unlike anything this country has ever seen and of course the media

has been m.i.a and it's now costing you the American taxpayers or President

Trump is saying could cost upwards at above 10 million dollars now because of

all of these facts president Trump's legal team is no longer sitting back and

watching Muller and his deep state operatives and this whole disaster

unfold yesterday we did learn that the special councilor is no longer

considering in tithing the president okay well we've been telling you this

over and over and over that it's impossible for constitutional reasons as

we have explained and although this is impossible there's no constitutional

precedent to ever even consider this there are long-established DOJ

guidelines that we have explained already in place and former New York

City Mayor the president's lawyer Rudy Giuliani also pointing out that Muller

might not even be able to issue a subpoena because the president's legal

team has already handed over over a million documents in other words Muller

already has everything that they have requested

and the only point of a presidential interview is to set a perjury trap now

this witch hunt is now a direct threat to this American Republic Muller is

causing irreparable damage to the rule of law in this country and also tonight

the New York Times confirming our reporting that we've had over a year and

part of it is just recent which is the Obama FBI did in fact have a mole inside

the Trump campaign and Watergate the break-in was a big deal now don't think

for a second the New York Times didn't do this on purpose now they suddenly

let's see decided that they want to tell the truth for once this not was not a

simple accident here as evidenced by the New York Times purposely as Andy

McCarthy said burying the lead of the story while trying to spin and cover up

for those people that they wouldn't cover for an entire year those that are

involved in all of this illicit activity now what's happening now is that the

deep state they know they're about to be exposed like we are expecting the IG

report after the IG report we're gonna get the 1.2 million documents that the

IG looked at that will follow and I believe what's

happening is very obvious and transparent they are leaking information

to try to get out in front of this scandal that we have been exposing on

this program in other words the information they have ignored as they

talk about Russia Russia stormy stormy now the DOJ is trying to protect

themselves leaking this information to friendly media oh the New York Times is

nobody friendlier and as the Wall Street Journal's Kimberly Strasse pointed out

remember she broke this story last Friday pointing out these leakers are

trying to literally get ahead of Devin newness of the house Intel committee and

Congress so they can make all of this sound well it's not that bad we knew

about this now remember Congress hasn't even been able to see any of this

information why because you have the Deputy Attorney General totally

conflicted out for numerous reasons rod Rosenstein refusing to fork over what is

rightfully Congress's role in oversight he won't hand over there obstructing and

here's what we mean from this New York Times report quote the FBI obtained

phone records and other documents using National Security Letters a secret type

of subpoena officials led and at least one government informant met several

times with Carter page Papadopoulos current and former officials said so we

have a secret type of subpoena the Obama FBI used to spy on the Trump campaign

that's on top of the FBI the DOJ lying to a FISA judge in an original

application and three subsequent applications about the Clinton bought

and paid for dossier put together by a foreign national using Russian lies to

get a warrant to also spy on the Trump campaign you keeping up with me here I

know this is the United States of America in other words you have all of

these top people in the DOJ in the FBI not rank-and-file the top people making

sure they had every base of theirs covered because their goal was to get

Trump by any means necessary after they helped Hillary rig annalee rig an

investigation exoneration before investigation and the former New York

City Mayor Rudy Giuliani saying this information could in fact blow up the

entire Muller investigation right watch this in this case I think

we're gonna have to look into whether we can challenge the legitimacy of the

entire investigation maybe a special process prosecutor special counsel never

should have been appoint not based on an illegal leak not based on a set of facts

that go back to I mean I'm shocked to hear that they put a spy in the campaign

of a major party candidate or maybe two spies and now I'm going through my brain

since you know I was a big part of that campaign trying to figure out who was

the spy now I'm wonder is is this person or that person or this person now if

there's a spy they've got nothing from it

look they'd be able to bring their case right now if the spy had any

incriminating information the mayor will join us in a second here's another

consequential piece of information from that New York Times article that we know

was leaked days after they closed their investigation into Hillary Clinton's use

illegal use of a private email server agents then the same people the ones

that helped exonerate Hillary before investigating her and rigging the

investigation then they began to scrutinize the campaign of her

Republican rival that would be Donald Trump and just like we have been saying

the small group of deep state actors they put the fix in the exonerated

Hillary Clinton we know she committed felonies the evidence is overwhelming

incontrovertible would have put every one of you in jail then days later the

same people well then they went after Donald Trump they all thought they knew

better than the American people that means you and if all that isn't enough

well this part is shocking could have serious criminal implications quote top

Australian officials they broke with diplomatic protocol allowed the

Ambassador Alexander Downer to sit for an FBI interview to describe his meeting

with campaign adviser George papadopolis now in order for that diplomatic

protocol to be broken well that means that John Kerry and the Obama State

Department from the get-go had to be involved they had to know from

day one and that means the Obama White House had to sign off on it from day one

nobody else in the media is reporting this so clearly this goes Wade

call me and top-level FBI DOJ deep state agitators so the big question for Barack

Obama and John Kerry they need to explain under oath what did they know

and when did they know it we've raised that question in the past now we have a

real reason to ask because there's no way that would have happened without

their approval and as for the DOJ the IG report that we just mentioned that's

coming out Sarah Carter also with us tonight breaking huge news a draft of

this highly anticipated report on the FBI and the DOJ s handling of this

Clinton email investigation exoneration before investigation has now been sent

to Congress finally 14 15 months and she says and reports tonight it is extremely

long and extremely thorough now Sarah is also reporting that this draft does not

contain referrals but of course that would come after like in the case of

Andrew McCabe this is a big development and by the way it does come with one

small catch that we've got to pay very close attention to Fox News reporting

that the FBI and DOJ we now know they have it they're now being allowed to

view the IG s draft and that means they will maybe offer instances where they

want to redact information and that means that the deep state would be able

to at least attempt to try and hide the truth now this is wrought Rosenstein and

the DOJ is mo what do they do they slow walk they Stonewall and when that

doesn't work they word act under the false guise of national security it's so

disgraceful but we know that everything they'd redact so far has nothing to do

with national security had to do with embarrassing details like Oh James Comey

and the FBI didn't think general Flynn lied and we've been saying this for a

while for the longest time this is why we need a second special counsel that is

completely independent from the FBI and the DOJ because when push comes to shove

at the end of the day they are not capable of holding themselves

accountable and the Inspector General needs to hold firm on his report tonight

also tonight Robert Muller is turned over the scope memo about his

investigation to federal judge TS Ellis the third remember Andrew Weissman

leading the team that's Muller's pitbull and got

excoriated by the judge two Fridays ago and went after Muller's team why because

they're going after Paul Manafort okay on what

a 2005 already investigated tax fraud issue that had nothing to do with the

election with the campaign or even Russia itself or the Russia

investigation the same judge blasting the mother team trying to get man afford

to flip remember judge Ellis said they want to put the screws to him and make

him sing so they can either prosecute or impeach president Trump also following

tonight one of the most egregious examples of media bias of course they

destroy Trump media the press claiming the President Trump called illegal

immigrants animals okay it's not the case he was talking specifically about

members of the deadly ms-13 gang look at some of these headlines from so-called

news organizations they knowingly purposely took the president out of

context to try and smear him yet again it shows why I have said over and over

news media journalism in America is dead and then there's this utterly shameful

media coverage I can't believe this poses as news in the United States but

supposedly it does take a look the President of the United States has got

to measure his words and be more careful about what he says and it is a very

slippery slope when you start dehumanizing people this way it's what

the Nazis did it's what slave owners did it's not what

Americans do but it's the president who's dominating the headlines on the

topic after he referred to some undocumented immigrants as animals these

aren't people these are animals so that was during a White House meeting on

sanctuary cities the comment came after someone remarked about ms-13 gang

members the president didn't make it clear whether he was talking about gang

members or about immigrants in general I gotta say immigrant communities here

this as a dog whistle and they say this is downright dangerous language let's go

to the videotape what did the president actually say it's so obvious listen to

the question that he was talking about this vicious gang known as ms-13 take a

look mister teen gang member I know about if they

don't reach a certain threshold I cannot tell ice about them we have

people coming into the country of trying to come and we're stopping on a lot of

them but we're taking people out of the country you wouldn't believe how bad

these people these aren't people these are animals and we're taking them out of

the country at a level and at a rate that's never happened before and because

of the weak laws they come in fast we get them we release them we get them

again we bring them out it's crazy and today the president responded to

this abusively biased news media of yours take a look you know I'm referring

to the ms-13 gangs that are coming in and I was talking about the ms-13 and

also if you look a little bit further on in the tape you'll see that so I'm

actually surprised you're asking this question because most people got it

right but I'm saying the ms-13 you don't have that where you come from ms-13

these are animals they're coming into our country we're getting them out they

come in again we're getting them out so when the ms-13 comes in when the other

gang members come into our country I refer to them as animals and guess what

I always will media bias is not the only thing the president's weighing in on

today he was also asked about North Korea's threat to pull out of the

nuclear summit here's what he had to say about that nothing has changed on North

Korea that we know of we have not been told anything and if it does that's fine

if it doesn't I think we'll probably have a very successful meeting but we

have not been told anything we're just reading which is reading sewers like you

are we've heard certain things from South Korea but we'll see what happens

we are continuing to negotiate in terms of location the location its to where to

meet how to meet rooms everything else and they've been negotiating like

nothing happened but if you read the newspapers maybe it won't happen I can't

tell you yet I will tell you very shortly wicked and oh very soon

you

EU looks to activate regulation shielding EU firms from U.S. sanctions on Iran - Duration: 1:55.

Following his decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal, President Trump has threatened

to impose sanctions against firms operating in Iran.

But the EU appears to be taking a stand against that decision, possibly putting itself on

a collision course with America.

Won Jung-hwan explains further.

U.S. President Donald Trump has vowed not only the highest level of economic sanctions

on Iran,… but also threatened political and economic repercussions to those that continue

do business with it.

But the European Union is taking a united stand against President Trump's decision to

pull out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and sanctions on Iran.

The president of the European Council, Donald Tusk, told a news conference on Thursday local

time that EU leaders had agreed to stay in the agreement.

"As to the Iran nuclear deal, we agreed unanimously that the EU will stay in the agreement as

long as Iran remains fully committed to it.

Additionally the Commission was given a green light to be ready to act whenever European

interests are affected.

And to try and protect EU firms from the sanctions, the European Commission will start making

moves on Friday morning to activate a regulation that bans European companies from complying

with U.S. sanctions against Iran.

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker announced the decision after EU leaders

agreed on Wednesday local time to activate the so-called blocking statute,... a 1996

regulation that prohibits EU companies and courts from complying with foreign sanctions

laws.

As the U.S. starts to impose sanctions on key Iranian figures,… the dispute between

the EU and the U.S. could possibly escalate further.

10 year U.S. government bond yield hits nearly 7 year high - Duration: 0:51.

Yields on 10-year U.S. Treasury notes climbed to over 3-point-1-percent,… en route to

its highest level since 2011.

Experts say U.S. yields rose sharply this week... amid speculation that the Federal

Reserve may raise interest rates more aggressively than previously expected.

30-year bonds yields also surpassed 3-point-2-percent,... marking its highest in 3 years.

But the signs of short-dated yields moving above long-dated yields are raising concerns,…

since they serve as indicators of future recession.

Experts also fear... rising U.S. bond yields could result in capital outflow from the emerging

markets.

The Bank of Indonesia hiked its interest rate for the first time since 2014,... and the

country's currency fell by as much as Point-6-percent against the greenback,... to its weakest level

since October 2015.

Washington confirmed there won't be any downsizing of American troops stationed in South Korea.

The decision was announced in a meeting to prepare for the signing of the 10th Special

Measures Agreement.

It should dispel such rumors which came about after reports on the matter by the New York

Times on May 4th.

Seoul's foreign ministry explained the result of the third meeting for the SMA that Washington

has no plans to change the size or character of the U.S. Forces Korea, that instead America's

Four states hold primaries, North Korea threatens to cancel summit - Duration: 9:28.

ROBERT COSTA: Hello. I'm Robert Costa. And this is the Washington Week Extra, where

we pick up online where we left off on the broadcast.

Joining me around the table are Yamiche Alcindor of the PBS NewsHour, Mark Landler of

The New York Times, Kelsey Snell of NPR, and Devlin Barrett of The Washington Post.

Thursday marked one year of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into

allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 election, and another election is right

around the corner. There were primary elections this week in Pennsylvania, Idaho,

Nebraska, and Oregon. Court-ordered redistricting in Pennsylvania made the

congressional map more favorable for Democrats there, and there has been a lot of

talk about a blue wave, potentially, in the midterm elections.

Kelsey, as you look back at this week on Tuesday, what are some of the trends you see?

KELSEY SNELL: The continuing trend that women are doing very, very well in these

primaries and that Democrats are getting the candidates they wanted.

Except for one or two spaces, they - the House Democratic campaign arm has been able to

move more moderate Democrats into positions where they could be running for seats where

that's a good idea to have a moderate Democrat, a traditional Democrat.

I think the other thing is we are seeing more of the trend that it's not great to be a

House Republican running for higher office. We've seen a number of them lose, Lou

Barletta being the - you know, the outlier there. But it's not a great time to be a

House Republican trying to become a senator or a governor or even really anything else. (Laughs.)

ROBERT COSTA: Yamiche, real quick, you and I covered Senator Bernie Sanders.

You were full-time on Sanders in 2016.

When you look at the Democratic Party in some of these primaries, any impressions?

YAMICHE ALCINDOR: The impression I got is that Bernie Sanders kind of continues to have

a lot of influence on the party. I was thinking about a race in Nebraska where there

was a woman who was running and she beat a Democratic establishment candidate.

And it tells you that people want to look at Bernie Sanders' campaign and think that they

can in some ways copy some of the things that he did and talk more progressively than

Democrats have been willing to do in the past. I think Bernie gave them a voice

and really gave them a boldness that they didn't have before.

ROBERT COSTA: To another topic, the Trump administration moved forward on Friday with a

proposal that would take federal funding away from health clinics like Planned Parenthood

that support abortion services or provide referrals to other clinics with abortion

services. Yamiche, sticking with you, you've been reporting on this development. What

do you make of it, and what does it tell us about the Trump administration's next move?

YAMICHE ALCINDOR: What it tells us about the Trump administration is that they are still

very much in line with the pro-life groups and idea that they want to keep this base,

that some of them are Evangelicals that are holding onto President Trump because of his

views on being pro-life and because of his stated intent to try to lessen abortion.

So this new rule, right now it's been set in motion; it hasn't happened yet.

But it would make - it would do a couple things. One of the things it would do is mean

that if you're getting abortions that they would have to be in a separate building, a

separate physical structure than any other place that's getting federal funding.

The other thing it does is that it says that health care providers don't have to provide

the idea of an abortion as they - as an option to a woman.

So if a woman has some sort of life-threatening issue, that doctors no longer have to

say, well, you could have an abortion and that could relieve your - relieve this medical

issue. So it says that President Trump is sticking with that.

And, you know, he was one of the first presidents to speak via video camera to the March

for Life, so this is a - this is a core group that he really cares about.

ROBERT COSTA: Who's driving this inside of the administration - Vice President Pence, or

is it Trump himself?

YAMICHE ALCINDOR: There's a lot of - it's a lot of back and forth.

I think that Vice President Pence obviously is someone who is very much an establishment

Republican, very much the kind of conservative that Republicans used to be before

President Trump kind of stormed the party. That said, President Trump on the - on the

campaign trail talked about abortion, talked about the idea of being pro-life, talked

about the idea of wanting to kind of temper this down. So he - this is not something

new for him. This is something that he ran on and that people backed him for.

And I would think when we think about it, the Supreme Court justice, Neil Gorsuch, he was

a big win for not only Donald Trump, but really the people that are looking at abortion

and saying that they want justices that don't want that to be something that women can

get in the future.

ROBERT COSTA: Turning abroad, the upcoming summit with North Korea seemed to be on shaky

ground this week. North Korea suspended talks with South Korea, then threatened to pull

out of the negotiations with the United States, saying it did not want to be forced

unilaterally to abandon its nuclear program, and pointed to states like Libya and

Iraq that gave up their nuclear ambitions at the request of the United States.

The White House and President Trump, however, said this shift in tactics was fully

expected, that American and North Korean officials are moving forward with preparations

for next month's meeting in Singapore. Mark, you've reported extensively on the White

House and the North Korean negotiations. What to make of North Korea's statements

this week? Are they actually moving away from the deal - or a summit, or not?

MARK LANDLER: I think really what this amounted to is a reality check.

This was always going to be a very difficult negotiation because you have one side, the

U.S., which wants total denuclearization, they want them - the North Koreans to give up

their entire arsenal up front, before they get any incentives. And you have another

side, the North Koreans, that want to do it in a sequenced way, where they give a little,

and they get a little, and they give a little. So this was always going to be tough.

And I think what happened is there was so much euphoria around the idea of this meeting

with President Trump, his supporters beginning to chant "Nobel, Nobel" at his rallies,

the South Koreans also speaking in extremely upbeat terms about this, that it was almost

inevitable that someone had to throw cold water on it. And it turned out to be the

North Koreans. My gut is, it still goes forward. I think both leaders have a lot

invested in having a successful meeting - President Trump in particular. So I think this

meeting will happen. But it was - it was a very timely reminder that when the two get

together, the issue on the table is going to be a very difficult one for them to unravel.

ROBERT COSTA: When you define - if this administration's trying to define success, could

success be something beyond denuclearization or some full-throated pledge for

denuclearization? Could it be ending the Korean War? Establishing diplomatic ties?

MARK LANDLER: Well, I think that the administration is going to want to bring home at

least some tangible evidence of denuclearization. Now does that mean agreeing to shut

off the entire program and mothball it? I think that's unrealistic. But there could be

some kind of a scenario where Kim could say: I will turn over five of my nuclear bombs.

Or, I will turn over X number of my nuclear installations. Or, I will give you my

ballistic missile supply, ICBMs. So there are some tangible things they could do that

fall short of the total denuclearization.

I think just having an agreement on peace in our time is not actually going to be

adequate for the president, given how high he's set the bar.

ROBERT COSTA: And back to where we started, the Mueller investigation, and possible

involvement by the Trump campaign in different kinds of associations they had during the

2016 election. Devlin, you've covered law enforcement for 20 years. And you wrote a

great piece this week that took a deep dive into all the elements Special Counsel

Robert Mueller is exploring. What strikes you as the most important element at this time?

DEVLIN BARRETT: I think Michael Cohen is a really important figure in all this.

And I think, weirdly, the fight over - so, Michael Cohen is Donald Trump's long-time

personal lawyer. His offices were searched, his home was searched, and a lot was seized

in that. And I think that's telling, in the sense that I don't think - in my experience,

prosecutors do not take that sort of aggressive search action unless they are fairly

certain that they will eventually bring a case. Now, there is a legal question that

still has to be sorted out among the New York prosecutors.

But the specter of Donald Trump's - the president's personal lawyer facing an actual

criminal charge I think is a real possibility now in the near future.

And I think that could change everyone's perception of how serious this investigation is,

how critical the notion of people flipping or not flipping will be for the outcome.

And I again go back to the notion that he has - Mueller has flipped a number of people.

And as long as that continues to happen, this case only gets more serious.

ROBERT COSTA: What's the timeline for a possible indictment of Michael Cohen?

DEVLIN BARRETT: Well, lawyers love to put things off. So it's hard to predict a date.

I would say that once they get through this attorney-client issue - and it's unclear

exactly how long that will take - there's a general ballpark frame of maybe by the end of

the month, maybe sometime next month the judge will have settled that question.

But once they get through that issue, I think prosecutors are going to have a decision to

make. And so I would expect them to make that decision not long after that happens.

But if you remember, if you think back to the Paul Manafort case as a comparison, you

know, they did a search, and then it was two or three months before the charges were

filed. I think you could see a similar pattern play out here, because that

is the federal prosecutor playbook.
