Trade officials of Washington and Beijing met once again.

A more amicable atmosphere was set for their latest sit-down in the U.S. capital, mainly

because of President Trump's decision on Chinese telecom firms.

Choi Si-young provides a closer look into round 2 of their talks.

The focus of the talks was on narrowing the trade deficit.

The U.S. delegation led by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur

Ross and Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer sat down with its Chinese counterparts led

by vice-premier Liu He to try and settle trade disputes.

At the meeting, the US demanded China reduce its trade surplus by 200 billion U.S. dollars

by 2020.

The U.S. also requested the Chinese government to discontinue support for "China Manufacturing

2025," China's blueprint for upgrading its manufacturing sector.

China seemed receptive to the U.S. demands.

The Chinese government is considering removing punitive tariffs on imported U.S. agriculture

items.

It is also reviewing whether to ease non-tariff barriers like import quotas, government subsidies

or customs delays.

"We hope to not see the escalation of U.S.-China trade tensions.

Of course, we have made preparations for all outcomes."

Such moves come in response to President Trump's surprising decision to lift the ban on Chinese

telecommunications firms doing business in the United States.

"We hope that the relevant departments of the U.S. side will take realistic actions

quickly to resolve the (ZTE) case in a just and fair manner."

Adding to the positive outlook on the negotiations is the reduced role of hawkish White House

trade adviser and harsh China critic Peter Navarro.

He is participating in the discussions at the negotiating table but is not officially

on the U.S. representative list.

He was on the official delegation at the first round of trade talks in Beijing.

With China displaying a more agreeable posture and fewer hardliners in the US delegation,

experts are predicting a more positive result from these trade negotiations than from the

previous round in Beijing.

Senate assesses Russian activity, intentions in US elections - Duration: 26:39.

well two Republican Senate candidates backed by President Trump winning their

primaries last night Nebraska senator Deb Fischer notching an easy victory and

Pennsylvania congressman Lou Barletta an early and staunch supporter of the

president winning the Republican Senate nomination and now mr. Barletta turning

his attention to trying to unseat longtime Democratic Senator Bob Casey

here's Barletta at his victory party last night so mr. Kane

the president had a victory last night congratulating Lou Barletta this morning

and one of their big agenda items they share is illegal immigration absolutely

and don't forget it's about illegal immigration and people still try to mix

it up I think that these victories demonstrate a couple of things first the

president still has some clout across this country maybe not in some of the

most liberal states I was talking to Stuart Varney about this and there's a

narrow lens of the media that wants people to believe that the president

doesn't have clout when he does secondly it shows that results matter people are

responding to the results and not necessarily the negative narrative so I

think that that's what it points out and then 130 point all of this talk about

doing midterm elections and what traditionally it has been throw all of

that out of the window I don't believe these midterms are going to be judged by

the trends of the midterms from the past Amyx ahead but Leslie it's see when you

look at the way the primary played out congressman Barletta

did not go after necessarily his primary opponent the Republican in the race he

kept his eye on the prize which is the Democrat Bob Casey the senator who's

been there for quite some time now Republicans are banking on maybe taking

back some of these blue seats in red states that Trump won how do you see

that going I think there's going to be an offset

because I think that their dyno house is you can't blow and I honestly I'm a

pessimist and you know my fellow lives get mad at me you just the fat lady

isn't even near the stage right right Democrats have historic me yeah okay she

be called a sexist when you look at what has happened historically and and not

just the okay the party opposite the president in his first year you know he

doesn't he doesn't nearly lose the seats in the house and in the Senate but

Democrats don't show up and really what we're gonna have to see is do the

Millennials show up so many of them you know who are now just registering to

vote the young you know the younger kids do the women show up do the minority

show up do the Democrats show up that's where it's going to come down to but I

do see that what we are seeing is a trend I think the president is very

important in these midterm elections because on the right it's sort of like

hey look you know I like the president I like his policies and on the Left it's

I'm not the president when I on the anti-trump I don't like it when I talk

to candidates all around the country about what they think their chances are

they all think that their fate hinges on independent women it comes back to that

same group in so many different points I mean at least that's their perception

that's what they say and I still think we have no idea what independent women

really do when they go into the booth they surprised us last time I'm an

independent woman myself mostly because I'm oppositional defiant I don't want to

be part of any group I'm gonna make up my mind on every single issue but it's

you know the women like me I think are all individuals have different thoughts

pro or con on all these different and they don't necessarily tell you ahead of

time all right well millions of Americans

tuned into Roseanne after the show was brought back after years off the air and

the main character is a trump supporter but now after some criticism and network

TV executives saying the show is getting away from politics and now Roseanne is

weighing in that's a head a fiery political debate around the

dinner table and ABC's reboot of rose am one of the few popular TV shows to

feature a pro Trump character but now the network may be trying to put the

kibosh on the political humor ABC's entertainment president telling

reporters that he thinks Roseanne will move away from politics next season and

will instead focus more on family not so fast the main stock Roseanne Barr

pushing back tweeting don't worry Roseanne show fans next season will be

even braver funnier timely than this season despite what anyone mistakenly

says Herman Cain Roseanne has been there she's ready to do things on her terms

the entertainment president talks about being more inclusive across all metrics

apparently not the Jimmy Kimmel show do you think Roseanne is going to push back

Roseanne is gonna push back hip-hip hooray for Roseanne now remember ABC is

one of the networks that covered this president his administration negatively

ninety one percent of the time but Roseanne is saying no they're not going

to tell me what to say how much political pushback I can put in it I

applaud her for saying she's not going to be dictated to in terms of what she's

gonna say or how much political content the show is a success it's funny why is

it that some of these networks feel as if they've got to intertwine politics

and entertainment in order to try to influence people leave her alone

so are they are they taking politics out of their programming no I am deeply

suspicious as always I'm a conspiracy theorist and I think that this is all

garbage and they're just draining it up to get people excited about the show

they've done a wonderful job so far so by threatening to take the politics out

of it and then magically putting it back in at the last second they've got all of

us to talk about it and promote it again my hat is off to you ABC well done are

people sick of everything about politics and entertainment I mean every time you

turn on an award show someone is moralizing trying to make some political

point and people just want a little escapism okay I'm taking it totally

different than all of you when I read Roseanne stweet I didn't think she was

talking about ABC I think she was talking about all of you think I'm not

gonna have anything political the show's going to be

you know it's gonna be worse than so much different hang on she's got a lot

of creative power okay the the show was not only a lot of

her writing her idea her name if you look under credits she gets some money

there that other people don't in addition to her role on the show and it

was her idea to have the Yemen Muslim couple next door and I was very

surprised at that and I was very proud of her we follow each other on Twitter

may not agree politically I I don't think it is all like ABC saying oh we're

not gonna have you know less Trump bashing and by the way the ratings was

so great some people would say why fix it it's not really why not get the whole

pie instead of most of the pie out of the ratings to get a larger audience I

think if they're moving on as a plot line it would actually be fine cuz the

show was supposed to be representative of American families and you know not

everybody's family focuses on politics 24 hours a day seven days a week and

it's like a lot of people do have split families right true but they move on to

other things in their life and don't focus solely on politics so it might

actually be an accurate reflection however ABC got rid of lots of Last Man

Standing that show that did very well based on family values they've made that

bad decisions before even one shows are popular all right very good more

outnumbered and just a moment stay right here all right my thanks to Herman Cain

did you have fun are you coming back I'm coming back and I you all have an open

invitation to join me and my crew for lunch does land the country club open

invitations right so your bills gonna be here they won't run out noon Eastern for

now here's Harris

developing news right now the Trump Tower meeting transcripts have been made

public and Donald Trump jr. is speaking out about it let's go outnumbered over

time i'm harris faulkner thousands of pages of documents from the

Senate Judiciary Committee's interviews with Donald Trump jr. and other

participants in that 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russians were released

today it is the most comprehensive yet look yet into that controversial

get-together Donald Trump jr. said this in a statement I appreciate the

opportunity to have assisted the Judiciary Committee and it's inquiry the

public can now see that for over five hours I answered every question asked

and was candid and forthright with the committee Ellison barber is live for us

in Washington with the news Ellison Harrison his testimony Trump jr. told

the Senate committee that he did not tell his father about the email setting

up that meeting and he doesn't know when the president and his team learned of

the email when it comes to questions about president Trump's involvement in a

July 8th 2017 statement about that controversial meeting Trump jr. seemed

to suggest he was at least somewhat involved through former White House

communications director hope Hicks in the July statement Trump jr. told the

New York Times the meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia vessel Nets kaya was

primarily about Russian adoptions he did not mention the fact that he agreed to

the meeting after a British publicist named Rob Goldstone told him that the

person had information that might hurt Hillary Clinton's campaign the

Washington Post reported that President Trump dictated the statement on Air

Force One the committee asked if that was correct to which Trump jr. replied I

don't know I never spoke to my father about it

he was later asked did the president provide any edits to the statement or

other input Trump jr. said he may have commented through hope Hicks he was then

asked and do you know if his comments provided through hope Hicks were

incorporated into the final statement Trump jr. I believe some may have been

but this was an effort through lots of people mostly counsel the ranking member

of the Senate Judiciary Committee says the public has a right to know about all

of these interviews a committee Democrat says mr. Trump's answers were not good

enough he needs to come back before the committee testify in a person under oath

there is a lot that needs to be explained I have no confidence that the

public has a right to know and the public can go through these two thousand

pages and make up their own mind draw their own conclusions they don't have to

have it deciphered by members of Congress the president's son-in-law

Jared Kushner and former campaign manager Paul Manafort also attended the

June 2016 meeting they declined to be interviewed by the committee in person

but they did submit written statements Harris Wow some news there with that

accusation of lying by Blumenthal toward Don jr. I will talk about that coming up

with my guest thank you very much good to see you Ellison Democrats on the

Senate Judiciary Committee have released a statement saying the June 9th 2016

meeting is one piece of a much larger puzzle and confirms that the Trump

campaign was willing to accept Russia's assistance their efforts to conceal the

meeting and its true purpose are consistent with a large pattern of false

statements about the Trump campaigns relationship with Russia end quote and

overtime welcome now to Republican Congressman Jim Jordan from Ohio member

of the House Judiciary Oversight Committee so I doubt you caught that

Blumenthal accusing Donald jr. Donald Trump jr. of liar that would be a felony

yeah I mean look the Democrats want to make a lot about this this meeting with

no information that no real information ever came out of they never want to talk

about the fact that Glynn Simpson was meeting with that Russian lawyer who was

in that meeting he met with her both before the meeting and after the meeting

in New York that's been reported everyone up to TPS fusion GPS right look

at the guy that the group that was paid for by the Clinton campaign the

Democratic National Committee to put together the dossier who hired

Christopher Steele so look I have not read the transcript it just came out

today I think there's lots of other important information that we need to

get and that's why we've sent a letter to the president today Harris asked him

to give some of those some of those key information that they've repeatedly

denied us from from getting access to can we take a pause on that for just a

second I really want to illuminate what you're talking about now because if

Democrats are saying that Donald Trump jr. and others are lying about this

meeting where does that get us you say that there's information in these

documents you'll get to read those transcripts what are you looking for

well I haven't read them yet so I do want to get a chance to go through them

they just came out this morning those the transcript from from from when when

Donald Trump jr. was interviewed in the Senate so I'll take a look at that but

we haven't seen it yet what I do know is there's all kinds of information that

we've asked the Department of Justice to give us they've repeatedly not given us

that information we want access to that information as a separate and equal

branch of government okay so I have that letter I'm gonna read from it now dear

mr. president so now you're not reaching out through the DOJ it's my

understanding that you just took this up a notch that it just got hotter we write

to request that you exercise your authority as president of the United

States to instruct Attorney General Jeff Sessions to immediately produce all

documents require requested by Congress relating to our investigation of certain

prosecutorial and investigative decisions made by the DOJ these are

Republicans and he is a Republican AG what is going on

well we're tired of unelected people at the Department of Justice repeatedly not

giving us information we're entitled to receive as a separate equal branch of

government and keeping information from us for example why did James Comey not

tell us that the guy he leaked information through to the New York

Times Daniel Richmond was actually an employee a special government employee

at the FBI why did they try to redact and not tell us that Peters struck had a

relationship with one of the FISA Court judges the same federal judge who heard

Mike Flynn's case why was that redacted in the text messages we got from Peter

struck at least the page that they gave us

they redacted that information and why did it have they never told us why jim

bakker general counsel at the FBI why he was demoted and reassigned and then just

two weeks ago why he retired from the FBI all kinds of information they've

tried to keep from us we it's like pulling teeth every time we're we try to

get something that's what's so frustrating not just for us but for the

American people who want answers to important questions so

in the heat of the moment to get that information you take this to the

president no doubt you and the other freedom caucus members I believe mark

Meadows is on that list with you and Rhonda Santos of Florida to get together

somebody has to say in the room can the president do this and the answer is he's

the head of the executive branch this is all about transparency what I mean when

you have things that let's - remember this - when they took the dossier to the

court when they wouldn't got the FISA warrant to spy on Carter page they

didn't tell the court two important pieces of information they didn't tell

the court who paid for that dossier and they didn't tell the court that the

author had been fired by the FBI because Christopher Steele was working they

didn't tell him that relationship had been terminated because Christopher

Steele was leaking information leaking information about his relationship with

the FBI you you and I go to court we have to give the truth the whole truth

the FBI didn't do that and nothing but the truth the FBI didn't do that so this

is the context we find ourselves in not to mention Harris the fact that James

Comey has been fired deputy director Andrew McCabe has been fired and faces

criminal referral Jim Baker chief counsel at the FBI was demoted

reassigned and has now left employment at the FBI lisa page FBI counsel demoted

reassigned left the FBI and Peter struck deputy head of counterintelligence

demoted reassigned that's the context we find ourselves in and we're just saying

as a separate an equal branch of government as people put go on the

ballot every two years and get elected by the American people we have a right

to get information so we can get answers to critical questions the American

people have can I ask you to just what this means for Jeff Sessions because

it's gotten a little politically at now the judgment of Andrew Napolitano is

next to me you may hear him he's chuckling as I asked this question this

is politically a fireball in some ways for him to handle I mean he's had he's

recused himself from the Russian I mean what do you anticipate will

happen with Ag sessions that the president then kind of dinosaur steps

his way in and says yeah I'm gonna declassify make this public and move

this forward well I don't know this is the short answer but I think the

president itíd States just as we say in our letter should tell Attorney General

Jeff Sessions Deputy Attorney General rod Rosenstein give Congress give the

legislative branch the information they need it's in everyone's best interest to

have transparency so we can once and for all figure out exactly what happened

here for example Harrison we'd like to see

this August 2nd memo mr. meadows and I wrote a letter a month ago asking the

Justice Department's let us see this August 2nd memo which was some kind of

change to the scope of the Special Counsel investigation and then just two

weeks ago the federal judge says he wants to see it as well so this is the

kind of thing we need to get access to and the only way to do it now the only

way to do it now is for the President of the United States to tell the Attorney

General to give us the information I want to go real basic before I let you

go people will watch this around the country and they'll wonder ok you get

into a dispute with somebody do you get together have you talked directly with

the Attorney General jeff says yes to find out what's holding up quickly what

did he tell them no I talked we talked with Senator Jeff Sessions last fall

when we were talking about the need for a second Special Counsel to look at all

this I don't like special counsels but I don't know how the FBI investigates

themselves we also have talked with mr. Rosen Stein in person and asked him

specifically about what I just brought up the August 2nd memo and a host of

other things he that wasn't you know I don't know that meeting was all that

productive but we did raise these same kind of issues with mr. Rose design as

well I just asked because people will kind of scratch their heads as well

they're all there together why don't they just talk we did we've tried yeah

we've tried everything here so we have tried everything and that's why that's

why we finally said we're going to go to the to the individual elected by the

American people who heads the executive branch we're going to go to him and say

give us this information so we can get the answers representative Jim Jordan we

appreciate you updating on us on this and then the breaking news of this

letter that you have sent the president will bring you back when we know what

that response is too good to see you thank you thank you take care all right

let's get some legal dissection here from someone who has seen it up close

and watching it unfold Fox News senior judicial

analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano what do you make of that the letter is

extraordinary and I cannot recall a time in the modern era where leaders of the

House of Representatives wrote directly to the president about their frustration

with the Justice Department when the and they're all in the same car trapped when

they're all in the same party when they're all in the same party these

things are usually resolved behind closed doors with a phone call

the president has taken the position in my view very admirably but this is

frustrating that he will not get involved in the management of the DOJ

because he is a subject of a DOJ Department of Justice investigation at

some point he's going to say enough is enough I'm a sub dick here over here I'm

going to manage I understand Jim Jordans frustration and it is this when the

documents do come out from the Department of Justice so much of it is

redacted and when they get the redactions removed they see things that

shouldn't have been redacted but were redacted to save the author of the

document from the embarrassment not to save a national secret not to save the

identity of our intelligence source but to save embarrassment you know we've

been down this memo road and declassification Road so much in the

last few months and the president has weighed in on occasion with things you

know you saw that the different memos inside the House Intelligence so we do

know that he can weigh in and and you're saying legally he he will at some point

potentially at some point he's going to say enough is this letter a tipping

point from these members of the freedom caucus is this enough to get the

president to say you know what do J heads

I want this declassify I don't know if it's enough but it is certainly a march

in that direction the next step and this is the second to last step is to hold

either Attorney General Jeff Sessions or deputy and I'm not suggesting this be

done and Jim Jordan knows that they can do this they have the votes to do it

okay Deputy Attorney General rod Rosenstein in contempt yeah I was a

locum ply with a bona fide legitimate congressional subpoena all right ROS

Jeff a rod Rosen Stein's argument is we can't give you certain things because

we're in the middle of an investigation and if we give them to you and you

reveal them and you're some of your members like to reveal this

stuff it will tip off witnesses and tip off potential defendants I like the way

you put that you didn't even use the word leak when we have an impasse like

that between the executive branch and the legislative branch where do we go to

the judicial branch put this stuff in camera in secret before a judge and let

the judge decide what Congress gets and what the DOJ keeps how before we move on

how complicated is it that Jeff Sessions has recused with the president if he's

held in contempt is that a fireable situation well the president can fire

any member for any politically you know think it would be unfair to target Jeff

Sessions here because he has recused himself it would not be unfair for the

Congress to target rod Rosen's time because with respect to this area

he is effectively the Attorney General Wow a house freedom caucus just turned

up the heat let's talk about the Trump Tower meeting real quickly Donald Jr

Donald Trump jr. coming out today saying hey at least everybody can see all the

questions I was asked so on and so forth what do you make of the transcripts and

what's out there I think the transcripts are equivocal

I'm smiling because I read the Democratic version of any who would

think it was two different transcripts but it's the same to the Democrats you

just played a clip Ellison Barber played the clip of Senator Richard Blumenthal

wires accusing him of committing a felony which is lying to the Congress I

don't believe it was under oath but it is still a crime to lie to Congress in a

formal interrogation setting whether you're under oath what

is it to the GOP to the GOP we know that the Russian so-called Russian adoption

lawyer was a Russian agent and that she met with these people intending to bring

them into her orbit we don't know if she succeeded that's what Bob mowers a lot

of line legal situation for Donald Trump tuning the crime if there is one is not

the receipt of assistance from the Russians it's the agreement to receive

assistance that's what Muller is looking for I

don't know if that comes out in the 2500 pages that we saw today but I also don't

know what else Muller has and it goes back to Jim Jordans Porsche then to get

that scope memo how wide can Muller go and what's he looking at he wants that

pie I haven't seen it but I'm sure it's very wide gives him a broad a broad

brush by the way thanks for joining me live from New York when I was in Israel

it was a hoot all right is the summit off the threat from North Korea when it

comes to next month's highly anticipated sit-down between our president and their

dictator is North Korea merely posturing or is this a serious hurdle now the

president has a message for Kim jong-un a short time ago he gave it as the White

House says it is ready for whatever happens stay close the president's the

toughest negotiator around he's prepared to go through this process his team is

prepared to go through this process and this is not something that is out of the

ordinary in these types of operations

Objective of N. Korea-U.S. talks stays same, which is CVID: Bolton - Duration: 1:17.

John Bolton reaffirmed his commitment to making sure the summit happens.

However the top official also highlighted, Washington won't back down on its stance of

complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of North Korea.

Kim Mok-yeon shares with us his remarks.

U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton has said that he's trying to stay optimistic

and realistic at the same time, following North Korea's summit cancellation threat.

Speaking to Fox News Radio on Wednesday,... Bolton said the U.S. will do everything it

can to have a successful meeting,... but will not back away from its objective,... which

is the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of North Korea.

He added that during the recent inter-Korean summit, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un agreed

to denuclearize, and if Pyongyang changes its mind, the U.S. will find out and the scheduled

summit in Singapore will be "pretty short".

The U.S. official also said that he has spoken to his South Korean counterpart, Chung Eui-yong

on the possible reasons behind North Korea's sudden about turn.

The remarks come after the North's vice foreign minister, Kim Kye-gwan threatened that if

Washington continues pushing the North to unilaterally get rid of its nuclear weapons,

Pyongyang will not show up to the summit table.

Top N. Korean official calls U.S. positions on talks 'absurd' - Duration: 3:26.

As far as messages go, it's hard to make them any clearer.

North Korea has made its disdain for U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton known

to the world.

This as Pyongyang's vice foreign minister singled out the controversial figure within

the Trump administration by name... harshly criticizing him personally and disparaging

his recent "Libya model" analogy.

Lee Ji-won reports.

Did the United States' constant pressure and hardline stance on North Korea go too far?

The North's state-run Korea Central News Agency published a statement on Wednesday by the

regime's first vice foreign minister, Kim Kye-gwan, rebuking the U.S. for what he called

its provocative assertions, especially those of White House National Security Advisor John

Bolton.

Kim said that despite his hopes for the upcoming North Korea-U.S. summit, he was disappointed

by Washington's provoking of the North with reckless, unbridled remarks.

He listed assertions made by high-level U.S. officials, including Bolton,... like the so-called

"Libya model" of nuclear abandonment.

Also phrases like "complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization" and "denuclearization

before rewards."

Kim said it's absurd to compare North Korea to Libya, which was only in the early stages

of developing nuclear weapons.

Kim pointed the finger squarely at Bolton, saying North Korea cannot hide its feelings

of revulsion at the hardliner.

And he warned that if the Trump administration forgets the setbacks America has suffered

in the past by following people like Bolton, prospects for the upcoming summit and future

relations are crystal clear.

Kim also slammed President Trump.

He said Washington misread Pyongyang's broad-minded initiatives as signs of weakness and accused

the U.S. of promoting the North's decisions as the result of sanctions and pressure.

The vice minister said if Trump attends the summit with sincerity to improve ties, then

North will give a deserved response, but if the U.S. only tries to corner the North and

force Pyongyang to unilaterally give up its nuclear weapons, then North Korea will no

longer be interested and would have no choice but reconsider holding the talks altogether.

There are concerns now that the historic summit between the North and the U.S. could be called

off, but a North Korea expert said that's not what the regime wants.

"If Pyongyang really wanted to pull out of the talks, it would've put out this statement

in the name of the regime itself.

But the statement was written in the first person by a minister not at the forefront

of settling things with the U.S."

The intention of the statement, says the expert -- to warn Bolton and Trump.

"Bolton has been talking far too ambitiously about this summit.

He's proposed more agenda items like human rights, other weapons of mass destruction

and the abductee issues.

And he's also been talking about the method of denuclearization and the Libya model.

Talking in this way makes it appear that North Korea has been defeated by the U.S.

Also, with the summit ahead, these kinds of statements can be seen as inappropriate."

The expert added that Trump should get Bolton to tone it down, and work so that the North's

denuclearization is accompanied by the end of what Kim Kye-kwan, in his statement, called

Washington's "hostile policies."

TOP 5 FUTURE WEAPONS OF USA THAT WILL BE DEPLOYED IN NEXT DECADE. - Duration: 6:34.

The United States is the top spender in military technology for a long time and will continue

to do so in foreseeable future.

With Russia and China ramping up its military, America is constantly upgrading its arsenal

with state of art technologies.

In this video, Defense Updates lists Top 5 future weapons of USA that will be deployed

in next decade.

Let's get started.

Intelligence is an important factor in any battlefield.

Timely, accurate and relevant intelligence during military operations can give a nation

massive tactical advantage.

Lockheed Martin the manufacturer of iconic SR-71 Blackbird, will be coming up with SR-72.

The SR-72 is a next-generation platform intended to provide intelligence, surveillance, and

reconnaissance.

It will be able to penetrate even highly defended areas.

SR 72 will be unmanned and to prevent enemies from detecting or intercepting it, the SR-72

will travel at hypersonic speed.

It will have a velocity of around 4,000 mph or Mach 6 that is six times faster than the

speed of sound.

SR 72 will employ a very advance dual-mode engine that combines turbine and ramjet technologies

to achieve those speeds.

This drone is expected to enter service by 2030.

Railgun uses electromagnetic energy to fire shells at speeds of Mach 5 to 7.

It is touted to be the next game-changing military technology.

The US Navy has asked General atomics & BAE Systems to pursue this technology in parallel.

The initial research is aimed at arming navy ships with Railguns.

A Railgun is a gun that uses just electricity – no gunpowder.

The projectiles do not contain explosives or propellants but have extremely high velocities.

Hence Railgun has much further range than conventional guns and uses the kinetic energy

to inflict tremendous damage.

A 32 Megajoule prototype has been delivered by BAE SYSTEMS.

This particular rail gun delivers fire from up to 220 miles in range, around 10 times

the distance capable of standard ship-mounted guns.

Future ships will be armed with Railguns with hundreds of rounds, instead of a limited number

of conventional missiles making them far more deadly.

The system has the potential to play offensive as well as defensive role.

Once fully operational Railgun could be used against warships and defend against incoming

aircraft, cruise missile as well as ballistic missile.

The US Air Force is awarding almost $1 billion to Lockheed Martin to develop a hypersonic missile.

The missile could be launched from air and land initially and from the sea at later stages.

Russia and China have made good progress in this field and The United States is trying

to catch-up.

The idea is to develop a missile that can accelerate to the edge of space and then deploy

multiple 'Glide Vehicles' that will plummet back to earth at hypersonic speeds.

A traditional ballistic missile follows a parabolic path can so the path can be predicted

and there is a possibility of interception.

But Glide Vehicles will be able to maneuver, taking an erratic unpredictable path, making

them very hard to intercept.

B 21 Raider is long-range strategic bomber (LRS-B) for the United States Air Force, intended

to be a heavy-payload stealth aircraft capable of delivering thermonuclear weapons.

It's envisioned to replace the Air Force's aging fleets of B-1, B-2, and B-52 strategic

bombers, which have an average age of 27 years.

On 25 October 2013, Boeing and Lockheed Martin announced their teaming up for the LRS-B.

The other participant was Northrop Grumman.

On 27 October 2015, the Defense Department awarded the development contract to Northrop

Grumman.

The United States Air Force plans to purchase 80–100 LRS-B aircraft.

The initial value of the contract is $21.4 billion, but the deal could eventually be

worth up to $80 billion.

Though its specifications are still highly classified, the Raider is expected to be able

to handle strategic bombing, tactical bombing, and global strike, surveillance, reconnaissance,

intelligence, and electronic attack.

The Raider will carry nuclear and heavy conventional payloads and is being specifically designed

to counter next-generation anti-aircraft systems.

The Columbia-class submarine will be the cornerstone of America's strategic sea-based nuclear

delivery option in decades to come.

It will replace the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarines.

The first submarine is scheduled to begin construction in 2021 and enter service in

2031.

They are expected to be service till 2080.

The United States plans to build 12 new Columbia-Class Submarines, each with 16 missile tubes.

These will house nuclear-armed Trident II D5 missiles.

Trident II can be loaded with 2 types of MIRV (Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicle).

The Mark 5 MIRV can carry up to 14 W88 (475 kt) warheads, while the Mark 4 MIRV having

the ability to carry 14 W76 (100 kt) warheads.

The new submarines are being designed to be harder to detect and have a lower maintenance downtime.

The submarine will be quieter and will not need a mid-life refueling in order to complete

42 years of service.

The Columbia-Class will utilize many advance systems deployed in Virginia-class attack

submarine like fly-by-wire joystick control system and large-aperture bow array sonar.

JERUSALEM EMBASSY US OFFICIALS TO ATTEND OPENING CEREMONY - Duration: 5:12.

JERUSALEM EMBASSY US OFFICIALS TO ATTEND OPENING CEREMONY

By Galactic Connection

BBC The US is to open its new embassy in Jerusalem

a move praised by Israel but condemned by Palestinians who are gathering for mass

protests.

Top US officials will attend the event, including President Trumps daughter Ivanka and her

husband, Jared Kushner.

Donald Trumps decision to move the embassy from Tel Aviv has angered Palestinians, who

claim East Jerusalem as the capital of a future state.

Israel regards it as its eternal and undivided capital.

President Trumps decision last year to recognise it as Israels capital broke with

decades of US neutrality on the issue, and put it at odds with most of the international

community.

What makes Jerusalem so holy?

Why do evangelicals support Trump on Jerusalem?

WHAT WILL BE OPENED AND WHO WILL ATTEND?

A small interim embassy will start operating on Monday inside the existing US consulate

building in Jerusalem.

A larger site will be found later when the rest of the embassy moves from Tel Aviv.

The opening ceremony was brought forward to coincide with the state of Israels 70th

anniversary.

President Trump is expected to address those attending Mondays event via video link.

Alongside Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, who are both senior White House advisers,

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan will be at

the ceremony.

The EU has voiced strong objections to the embassy move.

HOW DID ISRAEL AND PALESTINIANS REACT?

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has described Mr Trumps decision as the

slap of the century.

embassy in Jerusalem.

Photo: 13 May 2018 Image captionPalestinians have staged protests

against the opening of the US embassy Thousands of Palestinians are gathering for

a protest along the perimeter fence that separates Israel and the Gaza Strip on Monday.

The timing of the embassy move has led to concerns about increased tension in Gaza.

Since the end of March, more than 40 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli soldiers in protests

at the border.

UN human rights chief Zeid Raad al-Hussein has accused Israel of using excessive force.

Israel maintains it has acted legitimately to protect its civilians from militants trying

to breach the border.

WHY IS THE MOVE SO CONTROVERSIAL?

The status of Jerusalem goes to the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem is not recognised internationally and, according

to the 1993 Israel-Palestinian peace accords, the final status of Jerusalem is meant to

be discussed in the latter stages of peace talks.

Why the city of Jerusalem matters Image captionWhy the city of Jerusalem matters

Since 1967, Israel has built a dozen settlements, home to about 200,000 Jews, in East Jerusalem.

These are considered illegal under international law, although Israel disputes this.

Various countries once had embassies based in Jerusalem but many moved after a 1980

law saw the country explicitly claim the citys east, despite UN objections.

The day after Israel marks the anniversary of its statehood, Palestinians commemorate

what they refer to as the Nakba or Catastrophe, when hundreds of thousands of their people

fled their homes or were displaced following the foundation of the Israeli state in 1948.

North Korea Cancels Talks With South Korea, Warns US - Duration: 6:44.

IT REALLY LOOKED LIKE KIM JONG-UN WAS ALL ABOARD THE TRUMP

TRAIN FOR A WHILE, BUT NO, WE FIND OUT TODAY, WE ARE REMINDED

THAT THE NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND SOUTH AND

NORTH KOREA WON'T BE AS SIMPLE AS DONALD TRUMP SEEMS TO BE

PITCHING THEM TO BE ABOUT A WEEK AGO, AND THAT WHILE IT LOOKED

LIKE WE ARE GOING TO GET THIS SUMMIT AND THEY WILL TALK AND

THEY ARE BEST FRIENDS AND PEOPLE ARE SHAKING HANDS, PEOPLE ARE

STEPPING OVER THINGS, EVERYTHING WILL BE HUNKY-DORY, NO, THE

NORTH KOREANS STILL WANT THINGS AND WILL STILL PLAY HARDBALL IF

THEY CAN COME AND THEY ARE DOING THAT.

FIRST OF ALL, NORTH KOREAN

LEADERSHIP HAS PULLED OUT OF A HIGH LEVEL MEETING WITH SOUTH

KOREA, AND AT THE SAME TIME THEY ARE THREATENING TO WALK AWAY

FROM THE JUNE 12 SUMMIT IN SINGAPORE THAT KIM JONG-UN AND

DONALD TRUMP ARE SUPPOSED TO ATTEND.

IT'S STILL QUITE FAR OFF

BUT THEY ARE SAYING WE MIGHT NOT GO, AND THEY ARE GIVING A COUPLE

OF REASONS FOR THAT.

WE ARE GOING TO BREAK THOSE DOWN TODAY.

THEY PUT OUT A WARNING ON WEDNESDAY --

>>

>>-- MAX THUNDER IS ALSO A

CHARACTER FROM MAD MAX --

>>

>>STILL, PROVOCATIVE.

>>HERE IS MY ANALYSIS OF IT.

FIRST OF ALL, MAX THUNDER IS AN

AWESOME NAME, AND IF YOU'RE LUCKY, JOHN, THAT MIGHT

BECOME YOUR 29TH NICKNAME.

>>SHOULDN'T IT BE JOHN THUNDER?

>>I PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE CHANGED MY NAME ALONG TIME AGO,

IT'S CENK UYGUR, IT LOOKS LIKE SINK WYGER, I SHOULD HAVE GONE

WITH MAX THUNDER.

BUT WHAT IS THE REALITY, OFFENSE OR DEFENSE?

OF COURSE BOTH.

MAINLY FOR DEFENSE, IF THE NORTH ATTACKS

THEY HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DEFEND, AND THE NORTH HAS A TON OF

CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS, AND DEFENSE AGAINST THE NORTH WILL

BE EXTRAORDINARILY DIFFICULT, THEIR WEAPONS ARE BURIED INTO

THE MOUNTAINS AND IT WILL BE HARD TO ROOT OUT.

THAT'S THE

PRIMARY PURPOSE.

WILL THEY THEN GO ON THE OFFENSE IF THERE IS A

WAR?

OF COURSE, SO IT'S PARTLY DEFENSIVE, PARTLY OFFENSE OF

TRAINING.

I THINK THIS IS MAINLY NORTH KOREA GOING HEY, YOU

AREN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO IS VOLATILE AND CAN GO IN AND OUT

OF THESE THINGS WILLY-NILLY, SO YOU BETTER WATCH YOURSELF, OKAY?

BECAUSE TRUMP SAYS YOU NEVER KNOW, I'M CRAZY, MY BUTTON IS

BIGGER THAN YOURS SO YOU BETTER COME TO THE TABLE.

AND THIS IS

KIM JONG-UN GOING I'M CRAZY TOO, DOG.

>>I DON'T UNDERSTAND BECAUSE JUST A WEEK AGO KIM JONG-UN WAS

GETTING ALONG, HE WAS VISITING THE SOUTH KOREAN PRESIDENT, AND

I WAS TOLD BY ALL THESE PEOPLE IN THE MEDIA, LOOK, IT TOOK A

STRONG PERSON TO DO WHAT GEORGE W. AND BARACK OBAMA WOULDN'T DO,

YOU GUYS LOVE TO MAKE FUN OF THE FACT THAT HE'S A CHILD DICTATOR

-- DONALD TRUMP I MEAN, NOT KIM JONG-UN -- BUT HIS TWEETS

APPARENT HE WORKED.

AND THIS THING IS DONE, THE NUKES ARE

GONE.

WHY DOESN'T HE HAVE THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE ALREADY?

THAT

IS WHAT WE WERE HEARING ON A DAILY BASIS, AND IT MIGHT WELL

TURN OUT TO BE TRUE, BUT WE ARE FAR AWAY FROM THERE.

THEY HAVE

ALREADY HAD THE CELEBRATORY PARTY, THEY'VE EATEN ALL THE

FOOD, AND WE HAVE TO CLEAN UP THE MESS.

WE AREN'T THERE YET BUT PEOPLE WERE SO DESPERATE TO GIVE DONALD

TRUMP CREDIT THAT THEY STARTED TO PRETEND THAT KIM JONG-UN

AND THE NORTH KOREAN LEADERSHIP AREN'T HUMANS OR A GOVERNMENT

OR A DICTATORSHIP, AND FOR ALL THREE OF THOSE REASONS AREN'T

NECESSARILY GOING TO GO ALONG IN THE WAY WE WANT THEM TO.

>>TO BE FAIR I THINK THE MEDIA WERE SPLIT ON IT, THERE WERE

GENERALLY CONGRATULATORY AND I GET WHY, SOME OF THE DETAINEES

WERE RELEASED AND THERE WAS PROGRESS, BUT REPUBLICANS, YES,

18 HOUSE NUMBERS SUBMITTED TRUMP FOR A NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, THAT'S

JUST HILARIOUS, RIGHT?

TO BE FAIR, OBAMA GOT A NOBEL PEACE PRIZE WHEN HE HADN'T

DONE ANYTHING.

>>THAT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE EITHER.

>>AND HE ACTUALLY GOT THAT PEACE PRIZE, IT WASN'T JUST A

SUBMISSION.

LOOK, THESE ARE BOTH VOLATILE CHARACTERS AND THEY ARE

BOTH IN A SENSE, IF YOU WILL, CENTRIFUGES THAT MIGHT SPIN OUT

OF CONTROL, SO YOU MIGHT GET TO A VERY GOOD CONCLUSION BECAUSE

BOTH SIDES THINK THAT OTHER GUY IS CRAZY ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING

SO MAYBE LET'S HURRY UP AND GET A DEAL -- ON THE OTHER HAND THEY

ARE BOTH CRAZY ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING, SO IT COULD SPIN OUT

OF CONTROL.

TOTALLY AGREE WITH JOHN, OF COURSE, LET'S SEE WHAT

HAPPENS AT THE END.

NO ONE KNOWS HOW THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO END.

AND GOD HELP US IF KIM JONG-UN OR DONALD TRUMP SAYS SOMETHING

AT THE MEETING THAT SLIGHTLY OFFENDS THE OTHER.

THEY BOTH

HAVE INCREDIBLY THIN SKIN AS YOU CAN SEE HERE.

THEY'VE BEEN DOING

THESE EXERCISES SINCE 1953 AND KIM JONG-UN IS LIKE, HOW DARE

THEY?

THEY ARE SO, SO SIMILAR, IN THEIR PERSONALITIES AND IN

THEIR REACTIONS, ETC., TRUMP -- NORTH KOREA IS WAY WORSE,

THEY'VE GOT CONCENTRATION CAMPS, ETC., BUT THEIR SENSIBILITIES

UNFORTUNATELY SEEM TO BE A LITTLE SIMILAR.

FORTUNATELY, MY

FAVORITE, AND THERE HAS TO BE SOME CREATIVE PERSON IN NORTH

KOREA IN THE GOVERNMENT/MEDIA, BECAUSE THEY REFERRED TO THIS

EXERCISE AS A, QUOTE, PROVOCATIVE MILITARY RUCKUS.

SOMEBODY UP THERE IS HAVING FUN AND NORTH KOREA, AND THEY ARE

THE ONLY ONE, WRITING THINGS LIKE DOTARD AS A REFERENCE TO

DONALD TRUMP, WE ALL HAD TO LOOK IT UP AND IT TURNS OUT TO BE A

FUN WORD, AND THIS GUY WRITING IT'S A MILITARY RUCKUS THAT THE

SOUTH KOREANS AND AMERICANS ARE DOING.

>>I THINK PROVOCATIVE RUCKUS WOULD BE A GOOD INDIE BAND.

>>LED BY MAX THUNDER.

>>OR PORN STAR.

>>ALSO LED BY MAX THUNDER.

Families illegally entering US to be separated - Duration: 2:42.

"If you cross the border unlawfully, even a first offense, then we're going to prosecute you."

More and more Central Americans are making the journey to the southwest U.S. border — and

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is pulling out all the stops to make it end.

"If you're smuggling a child, then we are going to prosecute you, and that child will

be separated from you, probably, as required by law.

If you don't want your child to be separated, then don't bring them across the border illegally."

Sessions said last week, announcing that "100 percent" of people who illegally cross that

border would be criminally prosecuted.

The American Immigration Lawyers Association said it is "morally abhorrent" and a violation

of "our nation's laws and most cherished values" to deter asylum seekers by threatening to

separate them from their children.

So, how would this new policy be enforced on the ground?

And on what basis are opponents saying it breaks the nation's laws?

First, what we know: Entering the country illegally is a federal crime, with a maximum

sentence of 20 years for repeat offenders.

Historically, though, people who cross the border illegally and don't qualify for asylum

have been bused back without being charged.

But that would change under the new policy — parents would be held in adult detention

while being prosecuted, and their children would be placed in refugee shelters.

That's precisely what happened to at least four members of a recent migrant caravan,

according to their lawyers.

The Justice Department accused them of crossing the border illegally without asking for asylum.

The new "zero tolerance" policy does not apply to families who present themselves to official

ports of entry and request asylum protections.

There is also an ongoing lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union over the separation

practice.

The ACLU argues that separating parents from their children is only legal if the government

can prove abuse or provide justification for the separation.

A government official clarified that Sessions' plan is not a blanket policy to separate families.

He explained that's just the result of prosecution.

In criminal proceedings, a child cannot remain with their parents.

The government confirmed to The New York Times in April that around 700 immigrant children

had been separated from adults claiming to be their parents since October.

That number is now likely to soar.

If enforced, the "zero tolerance" policy could exacerbate the immigration court backlog and

worsen the space shortage in detention centers.

Border officers are already releasing many undocumented immigrants until their immigration

court date.

Sessions said he is assigning more prosecutors and judges to help with the caseloads.

Why North Korea is threatening to pull out of the U.S. summit - Duration: 5:50.

JUDY WOODRUFF: We return to the prospect of talks now in question between President Trump

and Kim Jong-un of North Korea.

For more on what the recent back and forth means, I'm joined by Joel Wit.

He worked as part of the State Department team that negotiated a nuclear agreement with

North Korea during the Clinton administration.

He is now a senior fellow at the U.S.-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University and

founder of 38 North.

It's a Web site that focuses on Korea.

Joel Wit, thank you very much.

Welcome back to the program.

How to you read what North Korea is saying right now?

JOEL WIT, Johns Hopkins University: Well, there are a number of different ways to read

it, but I think the main way to read it is that, for months, we have been used to North

Korea essentially being a pussycat, which is very different from the way they have been

in the past.

And I think now they're reverting back to their past behavior in the run-up to the summit,

and that means trying to heighten the pressure on the United States to give them a good deal.

And by threatening to not go to the summit, that's their attempt to do that.

JUDY WOODRUFF: What precipitated this?

Can you tell what was behind these statements?

JOEL WIT: Well, aside from the general North Korean attempt to play tough guy, which they

normally do, there could have been a number of other things that were going on.

One, it may reflect difficulties in secret preparatory talks that are leading up to the

summit that I think are being held in Singapore.

JUDY WOODRUFF: These are -- and these are under -- have been under way.

JOEL WIT: They have been under way, because, as we all know, the leaders don't sit down

in a summit and negotiate agreements by themselves.

There's a lot of preparation ahead of time.

So it could be a reflection of that.

But, secondly, it's also a reaction to some of the statements by Trump administration

officials, like John Bolton, which basically say to the North Koreans, you give up your

nuclear weapons and then we will reward you afterwards.

And that's unacceptable to them.

JUDY WOODRUFF: So, if Bolton's statement went too far, which the White House -- we reported

earlier the White House sounds like they're backing away from that.

They're saying, we don't have a specific plan for what we think North Korea should do.

But it does sound as if there is room for the North Koreans to do something, to do some

step, some measure toward nuclear disarmament.

JOEL WIT: Well, that's exactly the case.

That's what a negotiation is about.

So what we're hearing are -- at least from the United States, we're hearing the opening

position, which is, you give up everything, and then we will give you something in return.

And the North Korean position, which isn't public, but I'm pretty sure is, no, we will

gradually give up things, but you give us things in return during that process.

So the issue is whether the two sides can meet somewhere in between that's acceptable

to both.

JUDY WOODRUFF: So, the Trump administration -- the North Koreans are saying, you need

to do something about these joint exercises the U.S. and South Korea.

They're saying a couple of things.

The U.S., the Trump administration has been saying, we're not going to make any concessions.

It's entirely up to the North.

But, in fact, are there steps that the U.S. and South Korea are going to need to take,

to need to seriously consider taking before there can be any deal?

JOEL WIT: Well, there are a lot of steps, because what the North Koreans are going to

demand are, first, the normalization of relations with the United States, the establishment

of diplomatic relations.

Secondly, they're going to demand lifting of the sanctions.

And the third step they're going to demand is a peace treaty.

And all of these are big steps for the United States and South Korea to take.

And the issue is whether we're willing to do that and get denuclearization in return.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Are you -- were you -- before these statements happened in the last few

days -- or from the last 24 hours from North Korea, did you have a sense that things were

moving in a positive direction?

JOEL WIT: You know, it's very difficult to say because most of us can only see what's

going on in public, and there wasn't much going on at all, except the occasional public

statements by the North Koreans and the United States.

So it's hard to say whether things are moving in the right direction, and this could be

the first sign that things aren't moving in the right direction.

And so we need to watch very closely and see what happens from now to the summit.

JUDY WOODRUFF: What do you expect to happen next?

Who makes the next move?

JOEL WIT: You know, I'm not sure there are any more moves yet, because the secret talks

are under way.

We will see what happens in those.

And there could be more back and forth publicly.

But if we don't see an escalation of the current exchanges between President Trump and the

North Koreans, then that means things are moving along in the right direction.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Do you have a gut instinct, Joel Wit, about whether this gets back on

track or not?

JOEL WIT: You know, all along, I have thought that there will be a summit, and a lot of

people have been very skeptical about that.

And my analysis is from the North Korean angle.

I think they are very serious about having a meeting with President Trump and finding

a way from confrontation to a peaceful path forward.

The issue is, as I said earlier, whether we can make the two sides' positions come together

in a way that's acceptable to both.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Joel Wit, with the U.S.-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University, thank

you.

JOEL WIT: Thank you.

US Navy reveals HELLFIRE missile as chiefs rapidly prepare for WW3 - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:09.

US Navy reveals HELLFIRE missile as chiefs rapidly prepare for WW3

US Navy bosses have unveiled a deadly missile as the superpower prepares for WW3 clash with

its greatest foes.

The USS Milwaukee showed off its firepower after it launched the combat-ready Hellfire

missile.

It was the first time such a powerful surface to surface missile had been fired from a combat

ship.

The ships crew carried out the launch under war-like conditions where they "utilised

radar and other systems track small surface targets, simulated engagements and then fired

missiles against surface targets".

Captain Ted Zobel praised his team following the successful launch.

He added: "The crew of the USS Milwaukee executed superbly and the test team ran the

event seamlessly, both were critical in making this event successful."

Each guided missile costs Washington a whopping £84,800 and is used to blast targets at sea.

The development comes as US Navy bosses warned the world was entering a "period of uncertainty"

as Tehran prepared its next move after President Donald Trump ditched the Iran nuclear deal.

Admiral John Richardson, the US Navy's chief of naval operations, said Trump's decision

had opened a worrying phase between the two arch enemies.

The president pulled the US out of the controversial 2015 deal that aimed to curb Iran's ambitions

towards building nukes.

Adm. Richardson said rather than making the oil and natural gas-rich Persian Gulf, the

world was now entering an uncertain period.

He added: "It is a period of uncertainty that we are entering into, right – how the

whole world will respond to this latest development."

US Government Separating Immigrant Parents From Their Children - Duration: 12:18.

KRISTIN NIELSEN WHO IS THE SECRETARY FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF

HOMELAND SECURITY HAD TO ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS IN FRONT OF THE

SENATE HOMELAND SECURITY

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE.

DURING THIS LINE OF QUESTIONING SEN., HARRIS GOT TO ASK SPECIFIC

QUESTIONS IN REGARD TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

SUPPORTING AND ALLOWING CHILDREN TO BE SEPARATED FROM THEIR

PARENTS AS IMMIGRANTS WHO WERE TRYING TO CROSS THE BORDER.

THE NEW YORK TIMES HAD RECENTLY WRITTEN AN EXPLOSIVE STORY ABOUT

THIS AND KAMALA HARRIS WANTED TO KNOW IF THE DEPARTMENT OF

HOMELAND ñ WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CHILDREN?LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT

THE FIRST VIDEO.

>> HAVE YOU BEEN DIRECTED TO SEPARATE PARENTS FROM CHILDREN

AS A METHOD OF DETERRENCE OF UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRATION?

>>I HAVE NOT BEEN DIRECTED TO DO THAT FOR PURPOSES OF

DETERRENCE, NO DOUBT

>>WHAT PURPOSES HAVE YOU BEEN GIVING FOR SEPARATING CHILDREN?

>>ANYONE WHO BREAKS THE LAW WILL BE PROSECUTED.

IF YOU'RE A PARENT OR A SINGLE PERSON OR YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE A

FAMILY, IF YOU CROSS BETWEEN THE

PORTS OF ENTRY YOU HAVE BROKEN US LAW AND WE WILL REFER YOU

TO PROSECUTION.

>> SHE SAYS WE WILL PROSECUTE THE PARENTS, BUT WHAT DOES THAT

MEAN?

THAT USUALLY MEANS DETAINING THEM AND PUTTING THEM

THROUGH THE COURT SYSTEM BUT IN THE PROCESS OF THAT HAPPENING

THE CHILDREN GET TAKEN AWAY, MEANING THEY GET SEPARATED FROM

THEIR PARENTS AND THEY GET

PLACED IN CUSTODY AND LATER MAYBE FOSTER CARE AND IF THE

CHILDREN ARE NOT ABLE TO FIND RELATIVES IN THE UNITED STATES

OR IN THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN THAN THAT CHILD CAN BE DETAINED

INDEFINITELY.

IT IS A HUGE ISSUE AND WE MIGHT SOUND LIKE IT IS A GOOD WAY OF

DETERRING PEOPLE.

IT IS CRUEL AND USES TAXPAYER RESOURCES WHICH PEOPLE SHOULD

CARE ABOUT EVEN IF THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE WELL-BEING OF

THESE CHILDREN.

IT IS A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE NOT DONE

ANYTHING WRONG.

>> JEFF SESSIONS WHEN ASKED ABOUT THIS SAID IF YOU DON'T

WANT YOUR CHILD SEPARATED THEN

DON'T BRING THEM ACROSS THE BORDER ILLEGALLY.

I KNOW THAT IS PERSUASIVE TO A LOT OF THE RIGHT WING.

FIRST WE ARE SEPARATING THEM.

I DON'T KNOW WHY NIELSEN IS PRETENDING THAT THAT IS NOT WHAT

IS HAPPENING.

NIELSEN SAYS NOT FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERRENCE, AND OTHER WORDS

YES YOU ARE SEPARATING THEM.

JUST SAY IT.

I'M GOING TO GET BACK TO WHY THAT HAPPENS SOMETIMES.

OBAMA DID THAT SOMETIMES.

WHEN YOU LOOK AT SESSIONS' QUOTE ñ IT IS TRUE, THAT IS THEIR

CHOICE BUT THEY MIGHT BE MAKING THAT CHOICE BECAUSE OF

TREMENDOUS VIOLENCE IN THE AREA AND THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT THEIR

KIDS LIFE AND THEIR SAFETY.

BUT WE ALSO GET TO MAKE A CHOICE.

IN SOME CASES WE MAKE THE CHOICE TO SEPARATE THE KIDS FROM THE

PARENTS.

IN

THIS CASE THEY HAVE NOT COMMITTED ANY OTHER CRIME,

OTHER CRIME WAS SIMPLY TO COME HERE.

IN THE PAST WE MADE THE CHOICE THAT IT IS NOT WORTH SEPARATING

THE KIDS IN A TRAUMATIC WAY AND SHIPPING THEM OFF TO DEFENSE

MILITARY BASES.

WE WILL EXPLAIN IN A SECOND.

SHIPPING THEM OFF TO MILITARY BASES WITH PEOPLE THEY DON'T

KNOW WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS AND IMPRISONING THEIR PARENTS FOR UP

TO SIX MONTHS FOR CROSSING THE BORDER.

IN THE PAST WE MADE THE CHOICE OF LET'S NOT DO THAT AND LET'S

JUST SEND THEM BACK.

NOW THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS SAYING LET'S PUNISH THEM A

LITTLE BIT MORE, PUT THEM IN JAIL FOR SIX MONTHS AND THEN

THEIR KIDS, SAD DAY FOR THEM.

>>NOT ONLY IS IT CRUEL TO THE FAMILY WHICH BY THE WAY I WANT

TO REALLY EMPHASIZE THESE ARE NOT PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN

LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES WHO HAVE COMMITTED A CRIME AND AS

A RESULT ARE BEING PROSECUTED.

THESE ARE PEOPLE COMING FROM CENTRAL AMERICAN COUNTRIES WHERE

THE GANG VIOLENCE HAS GOTTEN SO

BAD THAT THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT THEIR OWN SAFETY AND THE SAFETY

OF THEIR CHILDREN SO THEY COME

TO THE US SEEKING REFUGE AND JUST THE NEAR THOUGHT OF THEM

CROSSING THE BORDER INTO THE UNITED STATES IS CONSIDERED A

CRIME UNDER THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION.

THAT IS A DISASTROUS WAY TO HANDLE THE SITUATION, IF YOU

DON'T CARE ABOUT BEING HUMANE, THE LIVES OF THESE PEOPLE ñ I

DISAGREE WITH YOU AND I COULDN'T

DISAGREE WITH YOU MORE BUT IN THE VERY LEAST UNDERSTAND THAT

IF YOU GENUINELY CARE ABOUT YOUR

TAXPAYER MONEY OR YOUR RESOURCES BEING MISUSED, THIS IS A PRIME

EXAMPLE.

THEY ARE NOT COMMITTING A CRIME SIMPLY FOR COMING TO THIS

COUNTRY TO SEEK REFUGE.

>>IF YOU ARE WONDERING WHY THEY ARE GOING TO MILITARY BASES,

THERE IS NOT A LOT OF PLACES TO HOUSE THEM.

HOMELAND SECURITY IS IN CHARGE OF THEM AND THEY ARE USING

MILITARY BASES TO HOUSE THEM.

THERE IS NOT THAT MUCH SPACE THERE IS ONLY SPACE FOR A LITTLE

OVER 10,000 KIDS.

WE ARE NOW AT 90% CAPACITY.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY WILL DO WHEN THEY RUN OUT OF THAT SPACE.

TO BE FAIR TO THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION AT THE PEAK OF

WHEN THERE WAS A HUGE MIGRATION OF THE COUNTRY BECAUSE OF

VIOLENCE AND OTHER SOCIOECONOMIC

CONDITIONS HAPPENING, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION HAD MORE THAN

7000 CHILDREN IN BASES IN OKLAHOMA, TEXAS, AND CALIFORNIA.

IS NOT LIKE THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.

>>BUT

IT HAS HAPPENED UNDER COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES.

DURING THAT YEAR YOU HAD A LARGE NUMBER OF UNACCOMPANIED MINORS

COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES, NO ONE WAS PREPARED FOR IT AND

THERE WAS NO SHELTER OR HOUSING

OR PLAN TO TAKE CARE OF THAT SITUATION.

HE DIDN'T DO IT AS A WAY OF PUNISHING PEOPLE.

BY THE WAY OBAMA HAD MANY PROBLEMS WHEN IT CAME TO HIS OWN

ACTIONS IN REGARD TO IMMIGRATION BUT WITH THAT SAID HIS

INTENTIONS WERE VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE INTENTIONS THAT WE ARE

SEEING WITH THE TRUMP

ADMINISTRATION.

>> THAT GOES TO MY FINAL IRONIC DEFENSE, THEY TOLD YOU THEY

WERE GOING TO BE VICIOUS AND NOW THEY ARE BEING VICIOUS.

TRUMP SAID HE WOULD MURDER THE FAMILY MEMBERS OF PEOPLE HE

CONSIDERED TERRORISTS.

IN THE CASE OF IMMIGRANTS HE SAID HE DIDN'T BELIEVE IN

CATCH AND RELEASE.

IN THE PAST ONLY 10% OF THE PEOPLE COMING HERE HAD COME WITH

KIDS OR WERE KIDS THEMSELVES NOT WITH ADULTS.

NOW IT IS UP TO 40%

BECAUSE OF THE CRISIS HAPPENING IN CENTRAL AMERICA.

THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS MAKING A CHOICE TO BE VICIOUS TO

THEM, SEPARATE THE FAMILIES FROM THE KIDS, IMPRISON THE PARENTS

AND NOT CARE ABOUT ANY CRISIS OR WHETHER THEIR LIVES ARE IN

DANGER.

IF YOU LIKE THAT I'M SURE YOU ARE THRILLED.

YOU ARE A TRUMP VOTER AND YOU

SHOULD BE HAPPY, THAT IS WHAT HE

HAS PROMISED YOU AND THAT IS WHAT HE IS GIVING YOU.

FOR THE REST OF US IS THAT WHAT OUR COUNTRY IS ABOUT?

I KNOW YOU

WANT OPPORTUNITY, FREEDOM, AND YOU ARE RUNNING AWAY FROM

SOMETHING DANGEROUS ñ CAN WE SAY WE ARE GOING TO PUNISH YOU AND

TAKE AWAY YOUR KIDS AND PUT YOU

IN PRISON?

THAT IS NOT THE COUNTRY I WANT.

>> THESE CONVERSATIONS ARE NAUSEATING AT THIS POINT BECAUSE

WE CONSTANTLY TALK ABOUT WHAT

KIND OF BAND-AID WE WANT TO USE ON A GUSHING WOUND.

WE NEVER HAVE A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE CORE OF THE ISSUE AND WHAT

IS CAUSING ALL OF THESE PEOPLE TO LEAVE THEIR HOMELAND

LOOKING FOR REFUGE.

IS BECAUSE OF GANG VIOLENCE.

WHY IS THERE SO MUCH GANG VIOLENCE IN THESE COUNTRIES?

HONDURAS, EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA.

DOES THE US PLAY ANY ROLE IN THAT?WHERE ARE THEY GETTING THE

WEAPONS FROM?

WHY IS IT THEY HAVE THE MONEY TO DO WHAT THEY

DO.

IS IT BECAUSE THEY ARE TRAFFICKING DRUGS?

IF YOU LEGALIZE DRUGS THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THESE GANGS WILL

HAVE THE AMOUNT OF POWER THEY DO.

WILL HAVE A DISCUSSION ABOUT WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO ABOUT

THOSE GANGS OR WHETHER OR NOT THE UNITED STATES PLAYS A ROLE

IN EMPOWERING AND EMBOLDENING THESE GANGS.

INSTEAD WE JUST HAVE DISCUSSION ON HOW WE CAN PUNCH THE VICTIMS.

>> WE HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE.

I KNOW THE RIGHT WING IDEOLOGY IS THERE ARE GANGS BECAUSE IT IS

LATIN AMERICA AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.

IF YOU LOOK AT HISTORY, IT IS A VERY EASY GUIDE.

WHEN WE DID PROHIBITION ON ALCOHOL WOULD WE GET?

WE GOT GANGS.

VICIOUS GANGS INSIDE THE UNITED STATES.

WE COULD OF SAID THAT A CHICAGO, OF COURSE.

ALL THE AMERICANS IN CHICAGO ARE BRUTAL.

THEY DID GANGS BECAUSE THEY PROFITED FROM SELLING ALCOHOL

BECAUSE EVERYBODY WANTED ALCOHOL.

NOW THERE ARE VICIOUS GANGS BECAUSE THEY PROFIT FROM SELLING

DRUGS BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT DRUGS.

IF YOU DO PROHIBITION IT LEADS TO GANGS EVERY TIME.

ANA IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, THE ACTUAL PROBLEM IS THE WAR ON

DRUGS BUT WE WILL PLAY THE SILLY

GAMES AND DEMONIZE AND DEMAGOGUE BECAUSE IT GETS PEOPLE VOTES

IN THIS COUNTRY.

THE CASUALTIES OF THAT WAR ARE THESE KIDS IN THESE PARENTS THAT

HAVE COME HERE THAT WE HAVE NOW

CHOSEN TO TREAT IN THE MOST BRUTAL WAYS.

Russian WARSHIPS will be PERMANENTLY stationed near Syria in CHALLENGE to US - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 3:25.

Russian WARSHIPS will be PERMANENTLY stationed near Syria in CHALLENGE to US

RUSSIA has said warships armed with advanced cruise missiles will be permanently deployed

near Syria in the Mediterranean where rival US military vessels also operate, as tensions

between the two major powers escalate in the region.

President Vladimir Putin made a statement on Wednesday during a meeting of top military

officials, defence industry leaders and economic officials.

The Russian leader praised his country's navy in maintaining national security and

helping achieve Moscow's interests abroad.

He said: "I will especially note the efficient and coordinated actions of the crews of our

ships and submarines during the military operation in Syria.

"The cruise missile attacks and the effective work of the carrier aviation dealt a serious

blow to the terrorists, destroying important infrastructure facilities."

In Syria the Russian navy has helped Syria and its ally Iran battle rebels and jihadists.

Mr Putin added: "The accomplishment of these and other complicated and important tasks

was largely possible due to the high combat and technical readiness of the navy.

"The build-up of the navy's combat potential and the practice of long-distance naval campaigns,

exercises and manoeuvres should certainly continue.

"This year's plan includes 102 expeditions of ships and submarines.

"At the same time, with the continuing threat of attacks by international terrorists in

Syria in the Mediterranean Sea, our ships armed with Kalibr cruise missiles will be

on a constant military watch."

In 2015 Russia intervened in Syria to help President Bashar Al Assad fend off a 2011

uprising sponsored by the West, Turkey and Gulf Arab states.

Russia's military presence in the Mediterranean has expanded since then.

Last July the Russian Black Sea Fleet established a Mediterranean Task Force of 15 ships based

out of a leased naval facility near the coastal Syrian city of Tartous.

Russia has used it as a platform to launch Kalibr cruise missiles against ISIS.

It also conducted Kalibr cruise missile attacks against Islamist insurgents in Syria's northwestern,

rebel-held province of Idlib.

Russia also announced a new range of weapons are ready to be deployed which include 14

missile regiments receiving new Yars intercontinental missile complexes to replace their old Topol

complexes this year.

Putin added the Ministry of Defence would obtain modernised missile-carrying bombers

in 2018.

The Russian leader said this would strengthen Russia's military capabilities and "ensure

a strategic balance for decades".

He added: "Strategic nuclear forces have key significance for defence and security.

"In the course of the year, the air part of a nuclear triad will receive modernised

missile-carrying bombers TU-95MS and TU-160 armed with modern cruise long-range missiles

Kh-101 and Kh-102."

Objective of N. Korea-U.S. talks stays same, which is CVID: Bolton - Duration: 1:13.

U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton meanwhile.... has reaffirmed that the U.S.

won't back down on its stance of complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization

of North Korea.

Here's our Kim Mok-yeon with more.

Kim Mok-yeon, Arirang News.
