Last Wednesday, the U.S. House Armed Services Committee approved a bill... that would make

sure the American military keeps a robust presence in South Korea.

It was introduced by Democrat Ruben Gallego and approved with just one vote against it.

If passed by Congress, the bill would require any reduction in U.S. troops to below 22-thousand

to be certified by the Secretary of Defense -- that it would not lower allied security

in the region.

Right now, there are some 28-thousand-500 American troops in South Korea.

In a press release from his office, Gallego said his bill was a move to show allies that

Washington is a committed partner... in light of greater uncertainty caused by (quote) "President

Trump and world events."

A House vote on the bill is expected soon.

Top N. Korean official calls U.S. positions on talks 'absurd' - Duration: 3:20.

Following the sudden cancellation, the regime's vice foreign minister published a statement.

Through it he condemned the U.S... specifically, National Security Advisor John Bolton for

his approach and choice of words.

Lee Ji-won shares with us an expert's analysis of Pyongyang's message.

Did the United States' constant pressure and hardline stance on North Korea go too far?

The North's state-run Korea Central News Agency published a statement on Wednesday by the

regime's first vice foreign minister, Kim Kye-gwan, rebuking the U.S. for what he called

its provocative assertions, especially those of White House National Security Advisor John

Bolton.

Kim said that despite his hopes for the upcoming North Korea-U.S. summit, he was disappointed

by Washington's provoking of the North with reckless, unbridled remarks.

He listed assertions made by high-level U.S. officials, including Bolton,... like the so-called

"Libya model" of nuclear abandonment.

Also phrases like "complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization" and "denuclearization

before rewards."

Kim said it's absurd to compare North Korea to Libya, which was only in the early stages

of developing nuclear weapons.

Kim pointed the finger squarely at Bolton, saying North Korea cannot hide its feelings

of revulsion at the hardliner.

And he warned that if the Trump administration forgets the setbacks America has suffered

in the past by following people like Bolton, prospects for the upcoming summit and future

relations are crystal clear.

Kim also slammed President Trump.

He said Washington misread Pyongyang's broad-minded initiatives as signs of weakness and accused

the U.S. of promoting the North's decisions as the result of sanctions and pressure.

The vice minister said if Trump attends the summit with sincerity to improve ties, then

North will give a deserved response, but if the U.S. only tries to corner the North and

force Pyongyang to unilaterally give up its nuclear weapons, then North Korea will no

longer be interested and would have no choice but reconsider holding the talks altogether.

There are concerns now that the historic summit between the North and the U.S. could be called

off, but a North Korea expert said that's not what the regime wants.

"If Pyongyang really wanted to pull out of the talks, it would've put out this statement

in the name of the regime itself.

But the statement was written in the first person by a minister not at the forefront

of settling things with the U.S."

The intention of the statement, says the expert -- to warn Bolton and Trump.

"Bolton has been talking far too ambitiously about this summit.

He's proposed more agenda items like human rights, other weapons of mass destruction

and the abductee issues.

And he's also been talking about the method of denuclearization and the Libya model.

Talking in this way makes it appear that North Korea has been defeated by the U.S.

Also, with the summit ahead, these kinds of statements can be seen as inappropriate."

The expert added that Trump should get Bolton to tone it down, and work so that the North's

denuclearization is accompanied by the end of what Kim Kye-kwan, in his statement, called

Washington's "hostile policies."

U.S. Embassy Opens in Jerusalem, Late-Night Hosts React | THR News - Duration: 1:47.

"Props to Trump for thinking that the ultimate deal is

peace in the Middle East and not the number 4 at McDonalds."

On Monday, after a violent day of protests along the Gaza border fence

that coincided with the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem,

late-night hosts addressed the building's relocation from Tel Aviv.

On 'The Late Show' on CBS, host Stephen Colbert

had this to say about the break with tradition.

"Now we just have to destabilize Antarctica, and we'll have global-crisis bingo."

Noting that President Donald Trump could not be at the opening of

the embassy Monday because of the angry people, Colbert joked,

"Instead, he sent Peace-Treaty Barbie and Collusion Ken,"

referring of course to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

Here's Colbert's take on how that went down:

[Colbert mimicking Kushner]: "That the journey to peace

started with a strong America recognizing the truth."

On NBC's 'Late Night,' Seth Meyers also tore into Kushner's childlike

cadence, saying "White House senior adviser Jared Kushner

spoke today at the opening of the new U.S. embassy in Jerusalem..."

"It's great practice for Kushner, because

next week he has to do an oral report in social studies."

And over on Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show,' Trevor Noah had

fun with an old clip of the president at a time when he briefly

considered not moving the embassy to Jerusalem.

Noah played video of Trump at a rally, where he told supporters

that when he was told the cost of the embassy's

move would be $1 billion, he responded like this...

"And I started putting X's cause I was afraid

that somebody could say it was my signature."

Noah pretended to be speechless for a few seconds before saying,

"I love that Trump tried X-ing out his signature, like he was voiding a check.

As if someone was going to take the executive order out

of the White House trash and fill out the rest of his name."

"Like some kid is going to use it as his fake ID. Just like,

'Sorry buddy, you gotta be 21.' 'That's no

way to talk to the president of the United States.'"

To watch full clips of the late-night hosts giving their take on

the U.S Embassy being moved to Jerusalem, head to THR.com.

North Korea claims US is plotting INVASION as Trump summit could be ABANDONED - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 3:37.

North Korea claims US is plotting INVASION as Trump summit could be ABANDONED

NORTH Korea has accused the US of preparing for a "pre-emptive strike" against Kim

Jong-un as its historic summit with Donald Trump hangs in the balance.

A highly anticipated meeting between the US president and North Korean supreme leader

Kim Jong-un has been scheduled to take place on June 12 in Singapore.

But North Korea dramatically threw plans into doubt last night by suggesting the summit

could be cancelled if the US makes "one-sided" demands about giving up its nuclear weapons.

"If the US is trying to drive us into a corner to force our unilateral nuclear abandonment,

we will no longer be interested in such dialogue and cannot but reconsider our proceeding to

the DPRK-US summit," North Korea's vice foreign minister Kim Kye-gwan said.

The fragile diplomatic process was dealt another blow just hours before, when North Korea abruptly

scrapped planned border talks with South Korea.

The staging of military drills involving more than 100 US and South Korea aircraft was cited

as the reason for ditching the talks, according to Korea Central News Agency (KCNA).

The annual two-week Max Thunder exercise started on Friday, with F-22, F-15K and F-16 fighter

jets among the aircraft taking part.

In a bellicose statement, KCNA said the drills are a "rude and wicked provocation" and

run "contrary to the promise to make efforts for the peace".

Max Thunder is a rehearsal for a US-led invasion of North Korea that arouses "serious concern

and disappointment" for the peace process, KCNA said.

"The south Korean authorities, together with the US, has been staging the largest-ever

'2018 Max Thunder' joint air drill throughout South Korea since May 11 in a bid to make

a preemptive air strike at the DPRK and win the air," KCNA, Kim's propaganda wing,

said.

Nevertheless, South Korea and the US have agreed to press ahead with combined military

drills regardless of the tense diplomatic situation threatening to derail the summit.

A source for the ministry did concede that B-52 strategic bombers, which Kim fears could

be used to strike North Korea, may not participate.

"The exercise will proceed as planned, and regarding that, there are no differences between

the South and US," South Korea's Ministry of Defence said.

Any cancellation of the summit in Singapore, the first meeting between a serving US president

and a North Korean leader, would deal a major blow to what would be the biggest diplomatic

achievement of Trump's presidency.

A US government expert on North Korea said Kim may also be trying to gauge whether Trump

is willing to walk away from the meeting.

Joshua Pollack, of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in California, said

Pyongyang appeared irritated by the US administration's vow to maintain sanctions in spite of North

Korean concessions.

"The North Koreans want a change in tone from the US, and at least so far, they're not hearing

one," he said.

Parliament begins review of US$ 3.6 billion supplementary budget bill - Duration: 0:41.

The National Assembly is making progress after a standstill that lasted over a month... caused

by partisan disputes over an online opinion-rigging scandal, and a set of contested bills.

Lawmakers are finally going over the proposed extra funds.

Some 3-point-6 billion U.S. dollars to help create quality jobs and boost depressing employment

figures.

The parliamentary special committee on budget and accounts officially began its review this

morning.

Tomorrow they plan to refer the bill to a subcommittee to fine-tune the details... so

that it can finally be put to a full floor vote on Friday.

Five other standing committees have also started reviewing the proposal.

Opening of New U.S. Embassy Shows 'America Won't Be Played as Chumps' - Duration: 13:15.

mobsters alert we are waiting for the White House briefing is going to begin

any minute now we'll bring that to you live after a deadly day in Gaza where

dozens of protesters were killed in clashes with Israeli forces as the

United States opened our new embassy in Jerusalem hello everyone I'm Dana Perino

and this is the daily briefing

today's historic opening is the fulfillment of one of President Trump's

campaign promises the president sending a video message to those celebrating in

Jerusalem this city and its entire nation is a testament to the unbreakable

spirit of the Jewish people the United States will always be a great friend of

Israel and a partner in the cause of freedom and peace let's go to John

Roberts at the White House John Dana good afternoon to you this move to put

the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem really is more symbolic than anything

right now because ambassador David Friedman and a very tight group of his

staff will be moving into a small suite of offices in the annex of the existing

US consulate in Jerusalem there still will be a big brand new shining embassy

built some years down the road but it's the symbolism that's really important

here the United States recognizing for the first time Jerusalem is the capital

of Israel the president tweeting out this morning big day for Israel

congratulations also clear that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is

absolutely over the moon about this move listen to what he said at the official

opening ceremony dear friends what a glorious day remember this moment

this is history President Trump by recognizing history you have made this

stream it was also the biggest day in the world stage for the president's

daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner they were there

representing the White House the president had been invited by president

by Prime Minister Netanyahu to come to the embassy the president considered it

for a while and then decided that he would send Jared and Ivanka

Ivanka was there to welcome dignitaries to the opening ceremony Jared giving the

keynote address he is also the president's point person on the Middle

East peace process let's listen on behalf of the 45th President of the

United States on America we welcome you officially and for the first time to the

embassy of the United States here in Jerusalem the capital of Israel today

also demonstrates American leadership by moving our embassy to Jerusalem we have

shown the world once again that the United States can be trusted President

Trump did make an appearance video a via videotape that was broadcast into the

opening ceremony the president rejecting criticism that moving the embassy from

Tel Aviv to Jerusalem will present an obstacle to Middle East peace listen

here as I said in December our greatest hope is for peace the United States

remains fully committed to facilitating a lasting peace agreement and we

continue to support the status quo at Jerusalem's holy sites including at the

Temple Mount also known as Haram al-sharif

this city and its entire nation is a testament to the unbreakable spirit of

the Jewish people at this point whether the US move to put the embassy from Tel

Aviv to Jerusalem will start the ball rolling on some of our other allies

moving there and we see so far our European allies have not shown any

interest in doing that however countries like Paraguay

Guatemala and Honduras say they are planning to make the move so maybe it'll

start small Dana and then gather steam from there we'll see

more on this now with Chris direwolf FoxNews politics editor and the editor

of half time report we'll start with this Chris the president making good on

a campaign pledge making sure to remind everyone that other presidents had made

that pledge and had not fulfilled it so there is something that he is certainly

going to be talking about but it is a definitely a historic move and the as

politically wise as it may have been I think it's also quite meaningful

spiritually for a lot of people especially if for people that are

supportive of the move and also for people who are worried about it yeah

there's a lot of anguish among Muslims around the world they they look at

Jerusalem as a holy city to them - just as Jews and Christians do and this there

will be anguish over it but there will be joy and there is joy for those who

see Israel not just as what it absolutely is a very modern

western-style liberal democracy economically potent militarily revered

and all of the great success that as they call it the startup nation has had

but that this in meshes in it that this de spiritual root the spiritual

connection to the taproot all the way the we are all the descendants of

Abraham right and this is the connection back to the eternal for them and that

means something one last question on this is just looking it I know that you

can't tell what the future is going to say and so you can't predict history but

will this be look looking back do you think this will be considered a pretty

significant moment in these relations depends on whether it works I mean at

all it all comes down to the fact the administration's hope here is that by

taking this issue off the table and they say no Jerusalem is is whole it is

intact and it is the capital of Israel the Jewish state period if that's true

then where did the negotiations stand and is something to be done about the

Palestinians you heard David Lee Miller talk about what Egypt is trying to do to

de-escalate this but the real question is is there a long-term solution in

which the Arab world the West and yes the Israelis can figure out a solution

that is that is lasting and appropriate for the

Palestinian people what are you gonna do well let's then move to the midterms

because I love midterm Monday's and you have some changes in some of the ratings

and you wanted to start talking to me about California I'm fascinated by this

idea that the Democrats could shut themselves out by having too much

enthusiasm too many people running and end up in a primary with the two

Republicans winning the top two seats yeah that's the district that's

currently represented by darrell Issa as Orange County a beautiful part of the

world congratulations Orange County but it is getting to be a less beautiful

part of the world for Republicans this is a district Hillary Clinton won that

was one of three or four in Southern California that we're seeing as good

chances for democratic pickups but they got a problem they have too many

Democrats Republican votes are coalesced around a couple of candidates in

California though the top two finishers in the primaries

regardless of their partisan affiliation proceed to the general election so it

could be the Democrats were hoping it would be two of them but it could be in

this case two Republicans Democrats are getting involved in this race and

another race from the national level to try to clean this up and focus the vote

so that they don't get shut out but right now we have to say that even the

friction caused by that among Democrats is reason to make to say that this race

is going to be more competitive than we thought and I think that you had some

pretty good news for Republicans if you're in the Midwest in Ohio and

Minnesota yeah I tell you that Mike DeWine he may be quiet and unassuming

but he packs a real political wallop in Ohio his big victory in the primary

there one would say the Democrats have nominated quarter and he did he did very

well too but Mike DeWine we think looks a lot better now than we had given him

credit for originally in terms of keeping the Ohio governorship Republican

but also Tim Pawlenty the former governor of Minnesota is doing pretty

well up there in Minnesota is a more closely divided state that it gets

credit for because it is consistently democratic but only by a couple few

points Pawlenty is in that race and the Democrats do not have a nominee that

they're rallying behind yet so you got to get more put in this one as a more

competitive race too and then one last eight on Tennessee yeah man

talk about surprising strength the former governor of Tennessee Phil

Bredesen Democrat two-term ur the polling and in fundraising and in

everything he is hanging in there we had figured that once the once the

Republicans had finished their primary and they had Marsha Blackburn up and

running that she'd start to pull away that's not what's going on down there

and we're moving that race into it is a toss-up and that's gonna be a real

dogfight down in the Volunteer State dog fight that's not a bad thing though no

no no good way in a good way dogs yes sorry well thank you for the update you

better that we're having as a country on jobs on safety on security on our

military it's all at stake in November but it can also disappear if you put

fools and if you put the wrong people in it could disappear president Trump in a

campaign style rally in Indiana just last week urging voters to keep

Republicans in control of Congress this November

let's bring in congresswoman Elise Stefanik of New York she's the

recruitment chairwoman for the National Republican Congressional Committee in an

important year never easy in a midterm the president usually loses seats but as

Chris Starr Walt was just reporting the numbers for the President and for the

Republicans seem to be improving is that what you're seeing out there yes it is

definitely moving in our direction and I think we defy history in these midterms

I represent a swing district I was proud to win by over thirty five points in my

first reelection and we feel very strong I also think the quality of our

incumbents in these swing districts are wonderful we have Carlos Carvalho we'll

heard who work hard to lock down those districts and we have very high quality

candidates who I've worked hard to recruit what do you look when you're

recruiting what are you looking for are you looking

for previous political experience are you looking for some outsiders since

people tend to want somebody different in Washington I actually have been

focused on non-traditional candidates I actually think coming from a background

that hasn't been in elected office I think that's a strength as we've seen in

the last presidential cycle and as we've seen in effective members of Congress

you don't have to have served in elected office I've recruited 91 women which is

the highest number of women ever running on the Republican side I know there's a

lot of focus on the number of but that's excellent that we're moving

our numbers in that direction I look for veterans people that have served in the

military and what I look for in candidates is authenticity and really

the fire in the belly because campaigning is hard

politics is difficult right now but if you are passionate about your issues and

passionate about representing your community you end up being the strongest

candidate what do you think about somebody like congressman Lujan who was

on the show last week he's the d-triple-c chair this year and so he's

responsible for helping democrats get elected in these midterms

you know they're also recruiting veterans and women and certainly a lot

more centrist candidates and maybe what we would think that their that their

base would want what do you think of that so we have very centrist candidates

we have district specific candidates that know their communities and are on a

path towards winning the challenges Democrats have is they have very crowded

primary fields I'm facing a field of six Democrats it was ten first now it's at

six and they're running further and further to the left

they're very out of touch with voters in my district and we're seeing that across

the country California is another good example yeah

babies talking about excellent candidates in darrell icc and an adroit

seats top targets that I think Republicans can hold well tell me then

about what is your key for you keeping your see I mean you said you're in a

swing district you've won by a re-election by a huge amount and I know

that you go back home a lot is that the key which is to keep a real good finger

on your pulse of what's going on in your district I think that is the key it's

always district first I'm very focused on the nuts and bolts issue that impact

hard-working families in my district so I represent Fort Drum for example home

of the 10th Mountain Division the most deployed unit in the US Army I'm very

focused on ensuring ensuring that the House Armed Services Committee is

representing for drama and I'm fighting on behalf of my constituents dairy

farmers I've been very engaged in negotiations for the farm bill to make

sure that we're providing relief and expanded opportunities for dairy farmers

is it's a farm bill a possibility this year I mean Democrats will tell me that

the Republicans are playing politics the Republicans say that the Democrats are

playing politics I'm a big proponent of a good solid farm bill for certainty but

is it not gonna be possible this year with all the politics it is possible I

believe that the farm bill will pass in the next few weeks in the house

the Senate of course has to take it up and these are important programs for

farmers in my district important issues like expanding broadband important

issues like getting rid of the margin protection program which helps dairy

farmers when milk prices are low we're also modernizing snap ensuring

that we have more pathways to work in Economic Opportunity and well we'd love

to have you back I have got to turn it over now to Raja who just took the

podium at the White House briefing

North Korea threatens to cancel US summit: KCNA Big Ears - News - Duration: 2:57.

North Korea threatens to cancel US summit: KCNA

North Korea threatened Wednesday to cancel the forthcoming summit between leader Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump if Washington seeks to push Pyongyang into giving up its nuclear arsenal.

If the Trump administration "corners us and unilaterally demands we give up nuclear weapons we will no longer have an interest in talks and will have to reconsider whether we will accept the upcoming DPRK-US summit", first vice foreign minister Kim Kye Gwan said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency.

Washington is pressing for Pyongyang's complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation.

But so far the North has not given any public indication of what concessions it is offering.

At a summit with the South's President Moon Jae-in last month, Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his commitment to the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.

But the phrase is a diplomatic euphemism open to interpretation on both sides.

"We already expressed our willingness for a denuclearised Korean peninsula and repeatedly declared that the US must end its hostile DPRK policy and nuclear threats as preconditions," the minister Kim said.

In the past, Pyongyang has demanded the withdrawal of the US troops stationed in the South to protect it from its neighbour, and an end to Washington's nuclear umbrella over its security ally.

Kim Kye Gwan also blasted US National Security Advisor John Bolton, who has spoken of a "Libyan model" for North Korean denuclearisation.

It was a "highly sinister attempt to enforce the fate of Libya and Iraq upon the DPRK," Kim said.

"I cannot suppress anger over this US move and it is doubtful whether the US really wants to improve ties with the DPRK through dialogue and negotiation.

The North has long said it needs nuclear weapons to protect itself against a US invasion.

After giving up his atomic programme, Libyan leader Muammar Khadafi was killed in an uprising backed by NATO bombing.

U.S. Work from Home Jobs Without Investment - Duration: 6:08.

- Hey, Angie Nelson here from theworkathomewife.com.

Today, we're going to be talking about some great online jobs

that don't have any investment required.

Many of you have come to me and let me know

that you're really getting started on a small budget

or maybe no budget at all and you need to get to work fast,

and you don't have any money to spare on extra software,

extra equipment, extra training.

You just need to get to work

so that you can start getting a regular income coming in.

Those are some opportunities

that we're going to be talking about today.

Some that are going to allow you to get started

with the equipment that you have.

Now, obviously if you're going to be working online,

I'm going to have to assume that you do have a computer,

whether that be a desktop or a laptop,

and also internet service.

Those are going to be some requirements regardless

of any work at home job that you're getting started in,

but the ones we're talking about today

aren't going to require much of anything outside of that.

Let's get started.

Now, our first online job without any investment

is going to be an obvious one and that is freelance writing.

This is one of my favorite opportunities for newcomers

to the work at home industry simply

because you can get started with what you have.

Now, as long as you have some good grammar skills,

spelling, you know how to research things online,

you may find that there are quite a few openings

available to you.

Freelance writing is also one

that can not only pay very well,

but it's also really flexible.

In most cases of freelance writing jobs,

there isn't much of a scheduling requirement.

As long as you can get your projects done

by the deadline, you are good to go.

That means you can work anywhere you want

in whatever time you want.

This can be a great one for those of you out there

who are maybe caretakers or have children at home,

or maybe you're even working around a regular,

traditional job.

Now, some great places to find freelance writing jobs

are going to be on Flexjobs,

which is one of my favorite job boards.

Also, the Problogger job board.

They have some great writing opportunities

that are listed there on a regular basis

and those can run the gambit from blog posts

to long-form articles that are going to require quite a bit

of research.

Keep an eye on that job board for some great opportunities.

Now, search engine or ad evaluation

is another popular opportunity among newcomers.

This one is not going to require a lot of experience

and it's not going to require a lot of equipment either.

In some cases, they do have positions available

that you can do on your smartphone.

This is one to keep in mind if you're really limited

in what you have available.

Now, one thing to keep in mind with these positions is

that they're often project-based.

They're not going to be something

that you can depend on longterm.

They may only last a few weeks or a few months,

in some cases we also see some hourly restrictions as well,

whether that be one hour a day or maybe you're even allowed

to work up to 20 hours per week.

The thing to keep in mind though

is they are going to be project-based,

so once you land one of these,

you're going to want to keep looking

for that next work at home job to fill your basket

with a few eggs so you're not just depending on this one.

Now, if you're not familiar with these positions,

what you're doing is analyzing search results

or ads that are showing up in search

to determine whether they are relevant

to the search that you have performed

and also whether they're quality results.

Now, a few companies that we see hire quite frequently

in this industry and Lionbridge, Leapforce, and Appen.

Now, if you come from an administrative background,

virtual assisting may be a great opportunity for you.

This one, virtual assisting these days really encompasses

a lot of different things to a lot of different people,

but at the end of the day,

what you're doing are performing online tasks

that need done for other online business owners

or maybe even offline business owners.

Now, these tasks can be anything from appointment setting

to online research to getting

into things like social media management

or community management.

The tasks and skills that you're,

or services that you're going to be able to offer are going

to be based on your background so that's something

that you really want to keep in mind when you're looking

at some of the jobs that are available out there.

Some work may require an administrative

or an executive background and others may require more

of a marketing background.

Take a look at some of the companies

that are hiring right now,

such as Worldwide 101, Time Etc., Fancy Hands, or even BELAY

to see what kind of tasks and services they are looking for

and that'll kind of give you an idea

as to whether you have the skills that are needed

to exceed in this field

or maybe you need to pickup a little, a few new skills

as soon as you get a regular paycheck coming in

from some other opportunities.

Now, those are just a few of the great opportunities

that are available to you without an investment.

I'm going to leave you a link in the description below

that will explain some more about the fields

that we've talked about today

in addition to some others.

I'll also link out to some job openings

that are available in those industries.

U.S. House committee approves bill to ensure strong military presence in S. Korea - Duration: 0:54.

Last Wednesday, the U.S. House Armed Services Committee approved a bill... that would make

sure the American military maintains a robust presence in South Korea.

North Korea cancels inter-Korean high-level talks, citing S. Korea-U.S. joint Max Thunder exercise - Duration: 2:25.

The North pulled out of that meeting with South Korea just ten hours before it was set

to take place.

The North blamed the military exercises by South Korea and the U.S. for supposedly ruining

the diplomatic mood.

That's in stark contrast to what the regime had said in recent weeks regarding the drills;

for a while it seemed to be more understanding.

Oh Jung-hee reports from the unification ministry in Seoul.

30 minutes past midnight… and only ten hours before the high-level talks were to begin,

North Korea notified South Korea abruptly that the meeting was canceled.

Pyongyang also released a lengthy statement through its state media.

It said it couldn't *help* but call off the talks, pointing to a combined air force drill

by South Korea and the U.S. called Max Thunder, which started last Friday.

It said the drills are a rehearsal for a "preemptive air strike," a challenge to the Panmunjom

Declaration and an intentional military provocation.

The North claimed that South Korea is breaking the two Koreas' promise to lower military

tensions... and therefore Seoul is to blame for the cancellation.

Pyongyang also lashed out at the U.S., saying Washington will have to think carefully about

the fate of its own summit with the North,… leaving open the possibility of canceling

the Kim-Trump summit as well.

Seoul expressed regret over Pyongyang's decision.

"North Korea made a unilateral decision to postpone the high-level talks right after

notifying us of the date, citing our regular joint Air Force drills with the U.S.

We regret this action as it does not correspond to the fundamental principles and objectives

of the Panmunjom Declaration."

The government added that Seoul is still dedicated to fully carrying out the summit agreement...

and urged the North to quickly respond to its call for talks.

South Korea stressed that dialogue will have to continue anyway so the two sides can discuss

the issues Pyongyang is now raising.

Seoul is to send a message to North Korea on Wednesday, though it's not clear what

it will say.

When the groundwork for the now-canceled talks was being laid, according to the unification

ministry, the North never raised any objections to the Max Thunder exercise or allied drills

in general.

Oh Jung-hee, Arirang News.

Korean Women Talk About Growing Up In The US - Duration: 8:25.

- You wore bralettes in Korea?

- Yeah, 'cause it's hot!

Ain't nobody going to Korea in the summer.

You gon' die out there, are you kidding me?

You need a bralette, I'm not gonna walk out there

with no T-shirt on in the summertime in Korea, you crazy.

- Your accent's coming out.

- Yeah, your accent's coming out.

(all laugh)

(lighthearted xylophone music)

- I'm here with my Korean-American friends

to talk about growing up in America.

^- I was born in Louisiana, grew up in Georgia,

^I came here when I was 16.

^- So I came to America, 2010,

^after I graduated high school from Korea.

^I used to live in Orange County area,

^and moved to Fullerton

^and moved to LA about three years ago.

^- I was born in San Francisco,

^and I lived out in Korea since I was one,

^and then I moved back here in second grade.

^- I was born in Korea

^but I moved to America when I was 12.

^Since then I haven't been back yet.

(upbeat string music)

- I went to the dentist,

I guess they couldn't remember my name,

^and then they wrote on there (speaks foreign language)

^(all gasp) - Really?

They just wrote (speaks foreign language) because they knew

I was speaking English, and I was just like,

"Yo I'm Korean", like you know?

So I mean, that's gonna happen.

- But these days, there is a lot of people who go

out to Korea to teach English and stuff.

- Yeah.

- So you'll meet a lot of people

who speak English just as much as you do.

- There are a lot of foreigners living in Korea.

- So I speak Korean with my parents, fully,

but like because I did the growing up like here,

I feel weird speaking Korean to people like my age.

- Do you have an accent?

- No, I don't.

- I've never seen you talking.

- My Korean language is like elementary school level,

so I wouldn't know any of the new slang.

I wouldn't know what to say.

- I think when you go to Korea, the way

everyone grows up is different, so

- Yeah.

- Even though I was raised in Korea like

when I was young, and then I went back when I got older,

I still had a depression because it was so different.

(upbeat music)

I go both ways. - Yeah I go both ways.

- But I still kinda root for Korea.

- I think I would root for Korea more.

- Korea versus America, I would for sure root for Korea,

but America versus other countries, then of course America.

- Yes I think that way too, yes, yes.

- Well said.

I think that's what I was trying to say.

(quick piano music)

- So I watch more American TV shows,

but I laugh more at Korean shows,

it's just more relatable, it's funnier.

They way they react with each other on TV,

I feel like Korea has a really good reality program,

- Right.

- It's like so funny.

^I love (speaks foreign language)

(all gasp)

- Oh my gosh, The Animal, that's like my favorite TV show.

^- (speaks foreign language) For sure.

- Oh yeah, that one's funny too.

- Sometimes when I watch American shows,

I don't understand anything.

- Me too, I don't get their humor,

like the dry humor is not funny to me.

- I don't get the Korean.

- Really?

- Yeah, I have to look at the subtitles.

You know the captions when they come up?

- Yeah.

- I'm like "Oh, that's what they said".

- Korean reality shows are more like,

people suffering, like in a funny way, you know?

- Games.

- Yeah games, and like they living in small houses,

and like doing things challenges together,

and I think it's funnier to see people like

going through hard things,

but like, laughing through it.

- I find that like Korean variety shows it's more involved.

Only celebrities.

But in America,

there are some regular people involved in the

a lot of variety shows so I think that's, like that's cool--

- Reality. - Yeah.

(upbeat xylophone music)

- I grew up in (speaks foreign language)

and they have a bunch of like Korean people.

I definitely hung out with mostly all Koreans.

- So when I came here, I didn't know who to hang out with

because Harris County just, is black and white and then me.

You know, and my aunt, you know.

But she don't go to school with me, you know.

(all laugh)

It was just like "Whoa!" So overwhelming for me

so I had a really thick accent when I first came here,

and they're like "You have an accent".

I'm like, "No, you have an accent".

(all laugh)

And then I just felt kind of like,

kind of like stuck.

- One thing that really bothers me.

If you act like too Asian, if you have Asian friends,

if you look Asian, if you dress Asian,

^you're called FOB, right?

^- Right.

- And people look down on you,

people are like "why are you even in America"?

If you act American, or if you have more white friends,

or if you dress, let's say, not that Asian,

you're called whitewashed.

- Oh yeah.

- Ever since I dyed my hair blonde,

I've seen comments saying like,

"Oh she's whitewashed, she's trying to be white".

And maybe I dye my hair because I like the color,

maybe I want to have a change,

just like how everyone dyes their hair color.

Growing up, especially in middle school,

because of that FOB stereotype,

I think that's why I tried so hard

to hang out with American people.

And I wish I made more Korean friends there,

but I was so worried that I would be called a FOB,

and then now like, people calling you whitewashed

just because your acting not Asian,

it's like so not fair to be on each side.

I think we need to stop thinking

we have to be one way or another.

- But I think it's getting better than before.

- Yeah, for sure.

- Like these days I kind of feel that way.

- Yeah.

- I wish I came to American earlier,

because I came to America when I was getting into college.

So I didn't really get to hang out

with white or black or like hispanic

- Other races.

- Yeah other races.

I hung out with mostly Korean and other Asians

like Taiwanese, Chinese.

Whenever I meet other race friends in class,

they would find Korean-related thing

and they would only talk about like that.

- Oh, like K-pop and stuff?

- Yeah K-pop, or like "I've been to Korea",

like my friend is Korean teacher.

- You're good considering when you came by,

you came in high school?

- Yeah.

- You're really, really good.

- When I first met her,

that's like one of the first things I said.

I had no idea you came when you were 19.

- That's really young.

- That's crazy.

- You're lying!

(upbeat music)

- English.

- English.

- When I get really mad, just English.

- I don't cuss in Korea at all.

When I cuss in English, it doesn't sound bad.

- You know everybody says like (bleeps).

In Korean if you're like (bleeps)

(all laugh)

You know? It actually sounds worse.

(upbeat music)

- Tipping.

- Oh tipping.

Cause you don't tip in Korea.

- No, not at all.

- Now that I think about it,

cause in Korea you don't tip and that sounds so nice.

- But now I think in Korea they don't get tips,

so I feel bad for them.

- I literally taught my friend that's just

just visiting from Korea how to tip, I was like

(all exclaim)

you just times this by 15% or 20%.

- Yeah, yeah.

- Another culture shock.

This is a good thing but whenever like strangers

they smile.

- Yeah, when you walk by?

- Yeah!

- Like welcoming.

- Very welcoming.

- They don't like to talk to strangers in Korea,

but here they're like "Hi"! Or whatever.

- If you say hi to a stranger in Korea,

they're like "Whoa, do I know you"?

(all laugh)

- You know your age, you're one year younger here.

- Right.

- And it just sucks,

cause sometimes I go to Korea and they're like,

"How old are you"? I'm like "Oh, I'm, example, 24".

(all laugh)

Right? And then like I come here and I'm like,

"Oh I'm 24, oh just kidding I'm 22 or 23".

(upbeat guitar music)

- All of a sudden we're cool, but we were always cool.

- Yeah.

- You know what I mean?

- Yeah!

Without the K-pop, we're still us, like we're still cool.

We can still dance, we can still sing, like.

- But then again, that's what's making us more noticeable.

K-pop, K-dramas, definitely put like a big, big,

it does its job.

- But we were always cool.

- We were always cool.

- Everybody's just more aware.

- I'm really just thankful, though

that it's getting known here.

- Oh no, of course.

^(upbeat music)

- Like you have to be brave and be ready to embrace.

- I think like when you first come,

you need to kind of feel out of your circle.

Even if you're uncomfortable,

try your best to learn English.

So adapt to this culture,

and then you can still keep your culture

where you came from, which is Korea,

that way you can really become like a Korean-American.

- Try to keep both cultures.

You don't want to grow up only speaking English

and forgetting the Korean side.

You want to keep the both sides.

- I think both cultures have amazing things.

- And I was a super shy kid when I was little,

I know it's really hard to tell now.

(all laugh)

- Hard to tell.

- There's a lot of mean kids out there,

when those kids would pick on me,

I would go home crying like "Am I ugly"?

Like "What's wrong with me"?

Like "Is there something wrong with me"?

I didn't understand what was going on, but

you know that's just ignorance.

Be fearless.

- Yeah, be fearless.

- Do whatever you want to do.

- Be you, yeah.

- Yeah.

The President's Escape Plan If The US Is Attacked - Duration: 5:22.

This video was made possible by WIX.

If you are ready to create a website, head over to wix.com/go/infographics to try out

one of their premium plans right now.

As nuclear threat looms, the US is responding by tightening up its response plan and rerunning

old military manuals to make sure the political elite are kept safe to issue further commands.

Military comanders are given first rights when it comes to personal safety, and none

more so than the Commander in Chief, AKA the president.

But where will he run and where will he hide should an attack be imminent on the United

States?

That's what we'll find out, in this episode of the Infographics show– The President's

Escape Plan if the US is Attacked.

During the cold war, a number of bunkers were built to house the president, high level military,

and the political elite, and sometime in the 1980s, once a month, Dick Cheney and Donald

Rumsfeld would, according to a 2004 issue of The Atlantic, disappear completely from

the radar.

This congressman and businessman would together make their way to an Air Force base outside

Washington, and from there they were joined by a member of Ronald Reagan's cabinet and

as many as sixty federal officials who all made their way to a clandestine disused military

base or secret underground bunker.

This exercise is of interest today as it helps us understand what measures will be in place

should the US come under attack and the president be forced to work outside of Washington.

Under the Truman and Eisenhower administrations, the US government had built large bunkers

and facilities to protect the political elite in the event of an attack on the US.

These retreats are being revamped in anticipation of an attack on the US under the current administration.

Also, the number of military bases outside the US numbers around 800 in 70 different

countries.

The president, should he have to escape, would find shelter in corners all across the globe.

The president can only make commands if he is in a secured location with access to communications,

and that would naturally include a good internet connection with access to Twitter and a hotline

to McDonald's delivery.

If the president is in the White House and an immediate evacuation is too risky, he will

take shelter in one of the two bunkers directly beneath the house.

There are also several additional bunkers around Washington DC located at classified

areas.

If, however, the president is traveling outside of the country, he would probably be aboard

a VC-25A which has an airborne command post.

There are two VC-25s at AFB in Maryland on standby meaning the president, if at home,

could be evacuated aboard the jets once he is transported there by helicopter.

If the Andrews AFB is unavailable for whatever reason, then he can be transported to a large

underground facility in Virginia where most of the cabinet members and the Supreme Court

will be held in an emergency war situation.

An alternative site is Raven Rock Mountain in Pennsylvania, again underground, and wartime

headquarters of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Raven Rock has retained an air of secrecy since it was constructed in 1948.

This hollowed out mountain has what amounts to a free-standing city inside of it, and

was nicknamed "Harry's Hole," after President Truman who initially endorsed the

project.

There's 100,000 feet of office space inside the hole and two sets of 34-ton blast doors

to protect it from a bomb blast.

He'd be pretty safe in there.

Then there are worldwide classified locations capable of commanding military actions.

These are often private properties and their staffing and day to day operations are kept

absolutely clandestine.

The US has safe spots all over the world, along with countless military bases set up

and ready for the horrific unmeasured retaliation that will no doubt follow any attack on the

US.

And this is perhaps the reason nuclear attacks have yet to occur.

The world knows that those struck by the attack will hide within command posts all over the

world.

Part of the US's defense strategy may well be founded on the belief that Donald Trump,

the current US president, is willing and ready to go to war with any rouge state.

When asked about North Korea, Trump is on record as saying he is willing to "destroy"

the hermit nation but has also hinted towards being able to find diplomatic solutions.

Political analysts have indicated that Trump should appear willing to go to war at the

drop of a hat if peace is to be resumed.

Hmmm.

All while North Korea has accused Trump and the US of heightening tensions in the region

after the president delivered a speech in South Korea.

But one thing is for certain, should things escalate into a Third World War, the ones

who drove the situation to that point will be safely locked up in underground bunkers

eating tinned caviar and bunless cheeseburgers while ordinary citizens will either be fried

by the explosion or turned into zombies from the radioactive fallout.

But let's forget about all this for a second, and believe that everything will be just fine!

If the world continues to exist, you should probably focus on making the best of it.

And for that, you'll need a great website.

Regardless of what exactly your business or hobby is, one thing is for sure, WIX has a

professional solution for it.

10 MIND BLOWING Secrets In US Dollars! - Duration: 12:51.

From hidden symbols and animals to the true meaning of the 'Eye of Providence'.

Today we look at 10 Mind-Blowing Secrets in US Dollars!

Number 10.

"Loaded With Latin" Everything sounds much more regal and official

when it is put into Latin.

When the founding fathers were orchestrating the beginnings of the United States they not

only knew this, but they also wanted to set a high standard as they were attempting to

be the first true republic in hundreds of years.

One of the ways to do this and to also pay tribute to the Roman and Greek Republics of

the past was by incorporating latin phrases into our currency.

Needless to say, they went all out with this concept in the dollar bill, as if you take

a quick glance at it you will see several American mottos in latin.

Around what has become a highly recognizable symbol to Americans, the Eye and Pyramid (known

as the Eye of Providence) there are two such phrases.

Above it is the phrase 'Annuit Coeptis' which translates to 'He approves of our undertakings'

which sounds quite nefarious at first, especially if you are believer in the Freemason and Illuminati

conspiracies, but they are probably just talking about God.

Underneath the pyramid is the phrase 'Novus Ordo Seclorum' which translates to 'a new

order of the ages' which is believed to be referring to the establishment of a new type

of government, though one could see how conspiracy theorists believe this points to the "New

World Order".

In the banner that is in the beak of the Eagle on the back, you may recognize the latin phrase

'E. Pluribus Unum', which means 'one from many' and is talking about the thirteen colonies

coming together to form one nation.

The last bit of latin on the dollar bill isn't a phrase but a date.

It is kind of hard to spot at first but if you look closely at the base of the pyramid

you will see the Roman Numerals MDCCLXXVI which in English numerals is the year 1776,

the year the Declaration of Independence was signed.

Number 9.

"Something's Missing" There have been a lot conspiracy theories

and mysteries involving other bills than just the one the dollar bill and one of them involves

five dollar bill.

Theorists have been quick to point out that in the picture of the Lincoln Memorial on

the back of the bill only 26 states are listed whereas there should be 48 as this is how

many states there were when the monument was constructed.

People have been quick to jump to the conclusion that the number 26 or the names of the states

listed must mean something bigger in the grand scheme of things.

But the truth is on the actually memorial in Washington D.C. the other states are listed

on the sides.

So that's why they can't be seen on the five.

Number 8.

"Hidden Critters" This curious aspect of the one-dollar bill

isn't as easy to debunk as some of conspiracy theories revolving around US currency.

If you look extremely closely, and we mean magnifying glass close, outside of the top

left part of the ornate border that surrounds the number one on the right side of the bill

you will see an odd looking figure.

Some say that the image is of a skull and some say it is a spider but the most common

thing that people think it is, is an owl.

What is the significance of this hidden critter?

Well as it turns out the owl is considered to be one of the main symbols of the Freemasons,

the secret and powerful brotherhood that many of the founding fathers are believed to have

belonged.

The Freemasons believe that the owl represents reincarnation because they are nocturnal and

according to legends, owls contain the souls of people who have passed away who are waiting

until morning to find a new body.

Though less fantastical, they have also long been symbols of wisdom, the pursuit of which

is a common theme in Freemasonry and the Illuminati.

Number 7 "Money Makings" One secret that you probably weren't aware

of lies in what material the dollar bill is actually made out of.

You may have wondered how something made out of paper can withstand so much wear and tear

over the years and not disintegrate like normal paper would.

Well, this is because U.S. paper currency isn't made out of paper at all, rather a combination

of seventy-five percent cotton and twenty-five percent linen, which give it superior durability

to plain old paper.

These bills are also required to have red and blue fibers woven into the tight fabric

for added security.

The average dollar bill lasts around six years, whereas if it was made of paper it probably

wouldn't last more than a year under the conditions our money experiences.

Number 6.

"Letter Code" Unless you are completely oblivious to what

you are putting in your wallet you have probably noticed the circular stamp-looking marking

with a letter inside of it on the dollar bill.

This is is the Federal Reserve Seal and the letter inside of it represents the reserve

bank that ordered the bill.

The number next to the seal, called the Federal Reserve District Number also corresponds to

this bank.

There are twelve of these banks across the country and each of them represents a different

region of the country.

If you see the letter 'A' and the number '1' this means the bill was ordered by the bank

in Boston.

If you see the letter 'L' and the number '12' the bill was ordered by the bank in San Francisco.

Number 5.

"Lucky 13" Beyond just the Federal Reserve Seal and District

Number the dollar bill is chock full of numbers and letters making it the focal point of many

conspiracy theories from numerologists.

One aspect of the bill that can be agreed on by these numerologists and historians is

the fact that the founding fathers were obsessed with the number '13'.

Though there are theories that say otherwise there is a fairly obvious reason for the fascination--there

were thirteen original colonies.

When studying a dollar bill you can start to see that not only did the designer of the

bill want the thirteen colonies represented in our currency they wanted to hit people

over the head with the number.

In the great seal the number thirteen is referenced in seven different ways.

On the shield in front of the eagle there are thirteen horizontal and thirteen vertical

stripes.

In the eagle's talons it is clutching an olive branch with thirteen berries and thirteen

arrows.

Above the eagle's head are thirteen stars and the pyramid in the Eye of Providence has

thirteen steps.

Many numerologists and conspiracy theorists will tell you that you are silly for thinking

only of the thirteen colonies when looking at this repetition, as the number thirteen

has long had satanic connotations.

Number 4.

"No Forge Fiber" You have probably noticed the vibrant blue

security strips on the new 100 dollar bill but did you know that all dollar bills except

singles have a hidden security thread like this?

It is one of the biggest secrets that is keeping counterfeiters at bay and the technology for

them is constantly improving.

These threads, that can only be seen using ultraviolet light are embedded in the fibers

of the bills and placed at different locations depending on the bills denomination.

Each bill also has its own special color.

The thread on a five dollar bill is blue, it's orange on a ten, green on a twenty, yellow

on a fifty and in addition to the visible blue one on a hundred dollar bill there is

a hidden one to the left of Benjamin Franklin's face that is purple.

Speaking of the blue 3D strip that is on the old C-Note, the treasury may start putting

these strips on all denominations in the future as it has proven so incredibly difficult to

replicate by counterfeiters.

One of the main reasons why the thread is so effective is that it is holographic, if

you bend the bill back and forth you will see the tiny '100s' labeled on the thread,

turn into the liberty bell.

Number 3.

"Eye of Providence" One of the most conspiracy provoking elements

of the dollar bill is that of the Eye of Providence.

Not only is it considered a blatant acknowledgement that the treasury and our country is run by

the freemasonry, but also apparently it has satanic imagery in it as well.

We will start off with the historical reasoning behind the symbol.

This image also known as the 'eye of god' or the 'all-seeing eye' and has been using

in several forms by Christians for hundreds of years, well before the founding of the

United States.

The triangle border around the eye is meant to represent the holy trinity.

You can see uses of this eye in churches, cathedrals and government buildings dating

back to the Holy Roman Empire.

The symbol has been mainly used to signify that whatever the eye is emblazoned on has

the blessing of god.

Now, it is true that the symbol has been used by the Freemasons since 1797, but the problem

is the use of the Eye of Providence on The Great Seal predates this by five years.

Still, conspiracy theorists suggest that the link is no coincidence.

There are also several theories that suggest that when draw lines from the 'a' to the 's'

in 'annuit coeptis' to the letter 'o' in 'novus ordo seclorum' and then back to form a triangle

and then highlight the outline of the pyramid that a pentagram is made aka Satan's favorite

shape.

Not only that, but when you add the letters that the bottom corners of the pyramid are

touching--'n' and 'm'-- to 'a','o' and 's' it spells out MASON.

Number 2.

"Security Stars" You have probably seen this next extremely

important secret but not realized it.

What is known as the EURion Constellation, is a set of five small rings that are placed

next to each other and look similar to that of Orion's Belt.

This marker is not only on all US paper currency but in a vast majority of the banknotes throughout

the world.

This constellation is used as an indicator that the bill is in fact real currency, for

several types of machines.

It's main function is to recognize the banknote and stop the machine from copying it.

The pattern has mysterious origins as no one outside of those who were producing currency

were aware of its existence until 2002 when a security researcher was trying to figure

out why his color copier wouldn't copy a banknote for 10 Euros.

All the signs point to it first being implemented in the late 1990s as a Japanese company released

a patent for the design and correlating detection algorithm in 1995.

If you have a twenty dollar bill on hand you can find several EURion constellations hiding

in the miniature '20s' on the back left side.

Number 1."Super Eagle" The proud American Bald Eagle of The Great

Seal is one of the most analyzed and dissected parts of the one dollar bill.

Though some of the theories surrounding the imagery in the depiction of this majestic

bird are radical, some of the hidden meanings are intentional.

We'll start with the history.

You may have wondered why the shield in front of the Eagle seems to be floating in mid-air,

well this was designed to represent the idea that the U.S. citizens should be self-sufficient.

On the shield, the lines going up-and-down are meant to stand for the states, while the

bars going side-to-side are for the federal government which binds the states together.

In the Eagle's clutches are a branch of olives on one side and arrows on the other, these

symbolize the balance of war and peace.

Initially the arrows were in the Eagle's left talon, the side that the Eagle was facing,

but the press and politicians over in Europe were fearful that this showed the U.S.'s true

intentions.

So, instead of arguing with them, they switched the sides the olive branch and arrows were

on.

When you focus in on the smaller details you can see where the hard facts end and the theories

start.

For instance, there are those who claim that the number of feathers on the Eagle's right

wing, 32, are put there to symbolize the number of degrees or levels that one can achieve

as a Scottish Rite Freemason.

There are also theories that suggest the nine tail feathers on the Eagle represent the 9

spheres of heaven which is part of Illuminati lore.
