Super low Dark Souls graphics on a low end computer (Intel Celeron + IntelHD) - Duration: 8:38.

My old Dark Souls video was one the funnest to make back in the earliest days of the channel.

Since we are at the beginning of the Return to Lordran fan organized event when people

coordinate to give this game a fresh push of online activity, I thought it might be

appropriate to try a different angle at tweaking this game to the lowest possible level for

a performance boost in low end computers.

This is the LowSpecGamer, a show were I find ways of decreasing graphics in game because

we want to play, no matter the sacrifices.

And today I am making Dark Souls 2 run… looking like this, or this… you will see

what I mean in a second.

Dark Souls is also one of those games where it is near universally agreed upon that you

need a controller to play properly which is why I am glad to say this video is sponsored

PS3, and Android.

Since it has either regular USB output or mini usb.

This has become my new travel controller since its very light, sturdy and very nice to use

and has full rumble.

EasySMX has been a long time supported of this channel so be sure to give them some love.

As you probably know Dark Souls is a bit of a wonky port that can be extraordinarily GPU

hungry and it offers very few options to make it better.

On the old video I explained how to use DSFix to play around the internal resolution of

the game to something your GPU can manage.

Interestingly enough if you want something a bit quicker there is another way to add

some extra settings to the game.

Dark Souls using DirectX 9 as its renderer, that means that we can use Hialgo boost to

play around with it.

If you are not familiar with Hialgo it is an old tool that you can install on a PC to

dynamically halve the internal resolution of game when you need it, and it works with

many DirectX 9 games, including Dark Souls.

All you need to do is run the software in the background, start the game and click yes

on the prompt.

While the resolution is changed when the program detects movement you can use the middle mouse

button to change the resolution manually, which turns out to be very useful when gaming

on something like an IntelHD.

If you want to change the button that triggers the resolution switch the config file is on your documents

folder, where a new folder will be created for each new game that uses Hialgo

In there you can also remove the watermark or FPS counter included in the software.

However, Hialgo also has another interesting functionality.

If you have seen this CSGO video I have linked in the corner I have talked about how Hialgo

allows you to change the resolution of the textures, which means possibly reducing them

under what the game usually allows.

This requires a change to a file located in your program files, hialgo, plugins, boost

and the file is called exceptions.ini.

There is a section dedicated to CSGO where you can change a variable that ends up changing

texture quality, but turns out you can add a section to control values of Dark Souls

by simply adding the name of the executable between brackets and then copying that LOD

control variable there.

If you get an "Access Denied" error, be sure to open notepad as an admin or use Notepad++

which will ask for admin rights when it needs it.

Dropping it to an absolute minimum of 1 has looks fantastically flat but has one mayor

disadvantage.

Dark Souls has a weird behavior were some of the signs and text in the game are rendered

as textures so a lot of the text will become unreadable at this level of detail… go figure.

I have been experimenting with this and I have settled for a value of 20, where text

is still readable when switching to full resolution.

Let me show you how this did on my IntelHD test setup.

Let me show you how this looks in normal resolution, so yeah…

15 fps?

And it looks degraded, very much, graphically, but it's still not enough, so if you cut

the resolution, you can at least maintain a semblance of performance

There is something to be said about the performance in this game in the sense of how bad it is,

how terrible this port was.

I'm using a computer, an overclocked IntelHD that I have used that managed to play GTA

or DOOM or even The Witcher 3 at highly reduced settings of course but…

Dark Souls, which is older and arguably not as good-looking, well…

"La Hoguera Está Encendida", so you may have noticed my game's in Spanish.

Funny story!

The game doesn't have a language changer.

It's in Spanish for some reason, even though this computer is entirely in English... and

I haven't been able to figure out how to change it.

At least, there's a variable on dsfix but otherwise… but you see, if you need, like, read, you

can disable the resolution switch and switch it back into 50% when you need the performance,

So if I remember correctly there's a Dark Knight right around this area?

So, Can't help but wonder if we'd be able to fight him in these conditions.

RECIPE DARK CHOCOLATE TART / La tarte au chocolat noir (sous-titres Français) - Duration: 9:24.

I everyone ! I hope you're doing well. I'm happy to get back to you in my kitchen

to propose a special tutorial

Why special ? because I decided to do it in English

Why in English ? Just to thank all my English speaking subscribers for their support towards my youtube channel

I hope you won't be angry with it

It is now time to switch in English

just as I said before to my french-speaking subscribers today is a

special day because I'm going to do the tutorial in English just to thank you

for your support I choose a quite simple recipe which is the chocolate

tart it is made of an almond shotcrust pastry and on top of it the dark

chocolate ganache let me few seconds to put on my apron

and let's start the recipe I am first going to make the pastry so you will

need the following ingredients 120 grams of unsalted butter at room temperature 2

grams of salt 90 grams of icing sugar 15 grams of ground almonds 1 egg 60 + 180

grams of flour if you missed some ingredients don't worry I put them all

in info bar under the video I am first going to soften the butter so I drop it

in my mixer

and beat it with the K beater I unstick the letter and then again once the

butter is soft I add the salt the icing sugar ground almond

and the egg and the little amount of flour and give a little beat and give it

a bit again

once everything is combined I add the second part of flower

don't work it too long I now wrap it in plastic wrap and pop it in the fridge

for 15 minutes refrigerator for 15 minutes after 15 minutes in the

refrigerator I'm gonna flour generously my baking mat and roll the pastry into 5

millimeters thickness put also some flour on the pastry and roll it out I

put some more flour if it's too sticky

I check this size with my tart circle okay it's good this is a 28 centimeters

in diameter dark circle so I just brought my pastry around the rolling pin

I sett the tart circle on the baking mat and I put the pastry inside the

tart circle I squeeze it now the pastry into the edges with my thumbs

I cut off the excess pastry with a knife I poke the pastry with a fork to make

holes and then I'm gonna put my baking mat on the oven grid and make it

for 15 to 20 minutes at 150 degrees

after 15 minutes in the oven the pastry is baked I leave it aside and I make the

dark chocolate ganache it is now time to make the dark chocolate ganache so you

will need 350 grams of 70% dark chocolate 250 grams of whole single

cream 25 grams of honey and 50 grams of butter as you can see i set the tarts on

the serving plate and I cut the edges just to make it more beautiful so now I

leave it aside and I make the dark chocolate ganache first I'm gonna melt

my dark chocolate with the microwave at very low power the dark chocolate is now

completely melted you can also melt it over a bain-marie I now put the cream

and honey into the pot

and I bring it to the boil now that the cream is boiling I'm gonna make an

emultion by pouring it over the chocolate in three times and give it a stir

between each addition so I pour my first third and I give a stir

I give a stir with the spatula by describing circles I pour now the second

third

and to finish the last third

I had now the better

and once it is all combined I am gonna blend it to make the ganache very smooth

after that I drop the chocolate ganache into the pastry straightaway and move

the serving plate in order to fill in the gaps

let it coo for 10 minutes and pop it in the fridge for 2 hours after 2 hours in

the fridge you can decorate the tarts with gold powder and gold powdered

almonds and nuts I put some gold powder on the blade of my knife and I just blow

it over the tart

and then I can put my nuts and almonds all around

here it is the chocolate tart is over

the dark chocolate part is done I hope you guys enjoy this new video in English

when you pass the last crossroad, You will reach the destination.

natural phenomena in Northern Ireland.

but here..... The story began with this house.

James Stuart built Gracehill House in c.1775

and named it after his wife,

Grace Lynd.

Then the family planted an avenue of over 150 beech trees

along the entrance to the Georgian estate.

It was intended as a compelling landscape feature to impress

visitors as they approached Gracehill House

they could admire spectacular fusion of light and

shadow what a tree tunnel gaves.

Then the tree tunnel was used in the film

Game of Thrones as 'Kingsroad'

but about this, let's go to the next board

This place attracts hundreds, hundreds ... every day visitors.

dressed in grey (Gray Lady ) who haunts the road at dusk.

at twilight, vanishing as she reaches the last of the breech trees.

Some say the spectre is the ghost of a maid

from the nearby house who died in mysterious circumstances centuries ago.

Now silently glides along the roadside and

vanishes as she passes the last beech tree.

Others believe that she is a lost spirit from

an abandoned graveyard that is thought to

lie hidden in the fields nearby.

Trying to find out more, I learned that

local photographer Gordon Watson from Ballycastle

He could hardly believe his eyes when he processed the photograph on his

computer he found the dress like figure floating in the air.

Another Well-known local photographer Kevin McAuley examined the photograph and stated that there

was no way the image had been digitally enhanced in any way.

The dark side of Superman you don't know about The dark side of Superman you dont know about He stands for truth, justice, and the American way.

Out of all the worlds superheroes, Superman is the shining beacon of hope, a symbol of what we should all strive to be. Well, for the most part.

Sometimes he forgets about all of that and turns into a real creep. Since hes the most powerful being on the planet, that can be a bit of a problem.

Heres the dark side of Superman you dont know about….

Killing A Powerless Zod   Everyone freaked out at the ending of 2013s Man of Steel, when Superman snaps General Zods neck.

The thing is, Superman does that to prevent Zod from lasering-eye-beaming a family to death.

Superman doesnt really have a choice.

Besides, its nowhere near as bad as what happened in the comics.

In this version, Zod came from a pocket universe where he and his companions killed everyone in that dimensions Earth.

Superman eventually finds out, and uses gold Kryptonite to take away Zods powers.

Then, Superman uses green kryptonite to kill the now powerless Zod.

Even though Zods no longer a threat, Superman decides that he still needs to die.

Thats horrible enough, but there were much quicker and less painful ways Superman could have killed the man.

Seriously, thats how characters like Jigsaw and the killer from Se7en behave.

After reading this story, it seems pretty obvious that Clark Kent has a crawl space full of other people he had no choice but to execute..

Walk Across America Wouldnt it be cool to just, like, walk across the United States? Thats the sort of question that every college freshman asks themselves at one point.

Its also something Superman once did, because some lady slapped him in the face.

Apparently, he was feeling depressed or something and wanted to reconnect with the people of the planet.

Thats fine for for someone like Forest Gump, because he doesnt have superpowers.

Sure, Superman saved people that he encountered along the way, but typically on a very small scale.

While he walks across the country, hes ignoring all the terrible things happening all over the planet.

A volcano might be erupting in the southern hemisphere, and Superman could make it in time to help out.

But instead hes shuffling his feet through Utah.

Seriously, Superman walks across Utah, which is pretty much a big empty space on the map.

This storyline was called Superman: Grounded, but it could have been called Superman Lets A Lot Of People Die Because He Went For A Long Walk.

Chuck Austens Temper Tantrum   If you dont follow comics, Chuck Austen is known as a controversial writer.

He was hired to write Superman, and fans and retailers revolted.

For context, Austen once wrote an X-Men comic where Angel had sex with a girl while her family watched.

Superman fans werent too enthused about seeing this mans take on the Man of Steel.

One moment that stands out is Supermans encounter with Barrage, a minor villain in the grand scheme of things.

Superman stands over a clearly terrified Barrage and taunts him before smashing a car down on him.

He then pulls Barrage out from underneath the wreckage and throws him across town.

He does all this to a guy who has basically already given up.

Then, when the owner of the car questions Supes about his actions, especially the whole needlessly destroying property part, Superman just brushes him off.

He offers to laser his signature into the car so the guy can sell it on eBay.

Of course, without a certificate of authenticity, no ones going to buy a bunch of scrap metal.

We understand that Superman wants to teach the criminal a lesson, but what about the owner of the car? All he learns is that Supermans kind of a jerk. Austens run was thankfully cut short, because he wrote Superman like a bully who doesnt understand how economics work.

Letting Parasite Absorb Lois Parasite is a villain that sucks the life force out of people.

So, you know, hes probably someone that youd want to keep away from your loved ones.

Unless youre Superman, in which case youd purposely let him have at it! Through a fairly crazy series of events, Lois ends up gaining psychic powers, and she eventually discovers that Clark Kent and Superman are the same person.

Conveniently, she then falls into a coma before she can tell anyone, leaving Superman to figure out a solution.

When Parasite attacks the hospital, Superman allows him to feed on Lois.

Luckily, it all works out and Lois loses her psychic powers and forgets that Clark is Superman.

Thats a good thing, since she probably never would have forgiven him for letting a giant man-worm-thing suck her life force.

Also, did Superman risk Lois life just to protect his secret identity? This is a secret thats only worth a fake pair of glasses, but hes totally willing to put his friend on the menu to protect it.

Thats the opposite of heroic..

Rampaging Against Batman   In 2011, DC Comics relaunched its entire line of funny-books with an event known as The New 52.

It rebooted Justice League by showing how the titular team comes together in the new continuity.

Since this was supposed to be early on in each heros career, the team members all act less than perfectly.

Green Lantern is cocky, Wonder Woman is headstrong, and Superman goes into murderous fits of rage.

Wait, what was that last one? Apparently the young version of Superman had a bit of a temper.

When Batman and Green Lantern show up, Superman attacks them.

He goes into a frenzy and at one point starts choking Batman.

Superman isnt provoked by either Batman or Green Lantern, he just shows up and starts trying to murder them.

He keeps bragging about how they cant hurt him.

Well then, if they cant hurt you, why not give them, say, five seconds to explain themselves? Its hard for Batman to explain that hes not a threat when youre crushing his windpipe.

Superboy Primes Rampage Prior to the New 52, there were several different realities that DC Comics characters inhabited.

Superboy Prime eventually travels to the main Earth of the DC Universe and causes another Crisis event.

He gets into a fight with that Earths Superboy, a clone of Superman.

Their fight causes the deaths of several heroes and a whole lot of destruction.

Basically, one version of Superman gets into a fight with another version of Superman, and now were all looking at the actual Superman a little bit more suspiciously….
