Tools for Fashion Drawing | Fashion Drawing Tutorial - Duration: 7:37.

Hello, hello!!

Welcome back!

In this lesson, I'll show you the most essential tools to use for fashion drawing, so you can

start learning + practicing + improving right away.

Now, let's start!

To start learning fashion drawing, you don't need any special, super expensive, out of

the world tools.

Actually, you only need a few things, and you can get started to learn and practice

after one visit to the art supplies shop.

Sometimes it's easy to fall into the trap of "well, when I get these tools, or these

pencils, or these colors, or the dream studio, then I'll start learning, or I'll begin

creating my designs or my illustrations", but wouldn't it be easier to just get started

with what you already have?

Or wouldn't it be better if you started to learn, practice, and create from now so

your skills and talents grow with time?

Of course, it would be easier and better, right?!

Okay, great, so let's see the essential tools that you need to start learning and

practicing your fashion drawing skills:

Pencil or mechanical pencil

My favorite pencil to work with is 2H because it's not too hard nor too soft, and it's

not as messy as those pencils on the B spectrum.

Remember the H in a pencil stands for Hard, and the bigger the number, the harder the

pencil and the cleaner the lines.

And the B stands for soft black, and the bigger the number, the softer and darker the pencil.

I also love working with mechanical pencils because the lines are finer than the pencil's

and I don't need to use a sharpener, so I can draw and draw non-stop.

If you want, you can try with both, a regular pencil and a mechanical pencil.

Neither of them has to be expensive.

My pencils usually cost less and one buck, and the mechanical pencil I'm using cost

no more than two bucks.

I tend to lose my pencils all the time, so I

don't invest quite a lot in them, but I also love how they work.

Eraser and Sharpener

When you buy your erasers, make sure they're soft and kind with your work.

You don't want your eraser to stain or damage your drawings, so be aware of that.

I love purchasing erasers in bulk because as with pencils l tend to lose them all the

time :P

For sharpeners, I prefer the metal ones.

And this one with two holes is just perfect.

One hole is to sharpen the pencils and the other one for the color pencils.

Paper.

Loose sheets of paper or a notebook

Okay, you have your pencils, your eraser, and your sharpener ready, now you need a place

where to put your ideas on.

For this, you can get a notebook, or you can even work with loose sheets of paper and then

put them in a binder.

Especially at the beginning that you'll need to practice a lot, I'd recommend purchasing

a pack of bond paper in letter size and a binder.

Then, start learning, draw, practice, make some mistakes, observe and improve, and tweak

and repeat.

Make sure you keep your best work in the binder.

And when you feel more confident in your drawing skills, then get a notebook and put all your

designs, ideas, and illustrations there.

You can optionally use ruler and templates for circles and ovals

These tools are amazing for beginners; they help you create clean + perfect lines + circles

+ ovals for your figures and faces.

And I totally recommend them when you're just starting out, although sometimes I still

use them when I want a neat drawing.

The ruler will help you create a preliminary line skeleton for your fashion figures before

you draw the actual body and put garments on it.

Then you can determine where the joints like knees, shoulders, elbows, and ankles will

be with the circle's templates.

And you can use the ovals templates to draw the head of your figures.

All the ruler, and the circles + ovals templates are here to help you with that shaky hand.

But, I definitely recommend you to follow the drawing exercises from a previous lesson

and video, so you keep getting better.

Workbook and cheat-sheets

If you're totally new to fashion drawing and especially to drawing fashion figures

and faces, then the workbook and cheat-sheets from my course Drawing fashion figures and

faces will be super helpful for you because I created them specifically for beginners

to train their eyes + hand + brain to create beautiful and proportionate figures and faces.

These are a shortcut to help you improve your skills faster, and you only need to print

the cheat-sheets and draw over them.

Or use the cheat-sheet under a sheet of paper, and draw following the step-by-step from the

course + workbook.

As you can see, you don't have to wait until you have all the tools, nor the most expensive

materials or the biggest studio.

You can start learning + practicing from now with as little as paper and a pencil.

Good morning, what a beautiful day.

In Budapest.

Welcome to a new vlog.

It's gonna be a rainy day.

But it's still gonna be fun.

As long as I believe it's gonna be a beautiful day.

Because I didn't shoot any opening video. What Bryan always tells me to do...

I was really scared there wasn't any shop open today.

That's kinda true, but there was one shop open here in front of the door.

And they sold raincoats. Nice.

- You are gonna be so cold.

- Yes you are gonna be so cold.

- It looks so cute.

Okay, I found my raincoat.

I like the color.

It's gonna be a heavy day today.

Thank god some shops are open.

I have to get some cigarettes.

We are now on the way to the location.

The weather is so bad outside.

My camera is totally wet, I'm gonna put it in my bag.

There is not really something interesting happening now anyway.

Besides we just got a coffee and a tea.

I'm gonna put the camera in my bag.

It's really hard to vlog today.

Because I also have to record material for the campaign we are doing.

So I kinda forget to record for my own vlog.

Because I have the feeling that I recorded a lot already.

But anyway, we are gonna start now.

We solved this one.

With a little bit of help from an app.

But we did it.

We are going to walk through the rain now, we are going to...

Ow wait, I cannot tell you.

I cannot say anything about what we are doing.

So from now on I have to record material for the camp again.

Fahion Week GRWM & Fashion - Duration: 8:25.

Hi everyone! It's Daisy here XD today I want to do an early morning GRWM for fashion week!

today is the last day of HERA SEOUL FASHION WEEK

I will be doing an industrial look today!

today I want to moisturize enough to stay all day outside

I use this when I have a special occation, this product is a cream fluid type, so it feels like a lotion on your facial skin

I recommend this product to combination skin with lack of moisture

if you want to keep your skin more rich and moisturized I recommend to apply thin double layers of it

I personally love this product even though it is expensive (almost $100)

I used this a lot already, so I will def buy this again

I will cover dark spots using concealers

I bought this again, this is definitely my favorite concealer

I used to try other concealers but I always get back to NARS concealer

this is a new cushion pact from HERA.

I got opportunity to try this cushion first because I work on hera fashion week

You'll be able to get this on stores soon

I will blend it out using this cushion puff

this is a lite version of black cushion, I would say

the cushion liquid is very light-weighted and it has a semi matte finish for oily and combination skin.

I will powder my face using lancome loose powder.

I will powder on brows, T-zone, eyelids, and undereyes.

I want to make a thick brows today

huh?

too bold

I will comb my brows using benefit brow mascara

I heard that bold natural brows are trending on fashion weel

full bold brows are done! look good?

I am gonna use this eye shadow palette from Stila, and it's medium / tan tone

first I will apply base color

apply undereyes as well

then I am using my favorite shadow, Daring color

on the center area

and blend it out

and center of undereyes as well

then darker shades on the crease

this has very silky texture

I will use darker shades

I will use both brown and black eyeliner to fill in the waterline and create eyeline tail.

first I using black color to fill in the waterline and blend it out using brown eyeliner

I am creating a cat eyeline using waterproof liner

I am using partial lashes

I am using etude house curl fix mascara

I am adding some eyeshadows

I am using this chocolate color bronzer

it literally smells chocolate hehe I want to match tone with my eye makeup

I am using clinique cheek pop

this is one of the most popular colors of cheek pop products

I will blend it out with bronzer

this is a yellow gold tone highlighter from Burberry beauty

I will mix lip colors

first I am using HERA memories of paris collection lip color

then I am using darker color

then I am adding a metalic lip color on center area

I will blend it out

I am using tranparent mascara to make wavey hairstyle

Hi it's Tracy welcome back to my channel and happy Halloween okay I don't really

do Halloween I'm sorry it's just not something I do so what we are gonna do

is dress up so we're gonna do a little fall haul and I asked you on instagram

if you guys wanted to see a fall haul just hard to say Fall Haul or if I'm from

Massachusetts A Fall Haul and you all say yes so we're gonna get into it right now

so let's get into this little Fall haul so let's get into the haul here and

we're gonna start with actually my favorite favorite item you're definitely

going to see a theme here and that is red which is a super super trendy really

great item you're seeing so many red items and I love red so I got a bunch of

red stuff too so here are these pants these pants are from Zara I love these

pants so much like I can't even tell you they're absolutely amazing they hit you

there they're very high waisted but they're also cut really slim so that

gives you that sort of like you know really teeny-tiny waist then you can

sort of see a little bit of booty they're wide leg they're awesome they're

super comfortable I have these in white I got these in white for the summer

which I was still wear in the fall with a great like off-white sweater maybe

something black something like that with little booties so these are great

they're 50 bucks they travel really well I love these can't speak highly enough

about them just because they're there I'm gonna go next into some booties so

you know everybody loves a good ankle boot who doesn't these are also from

Zara I got these in Paris when I was in Paris this summer I

guess not fall but I was pre shopping but here's what I love about these boots

they have a super super tight ankle so it gives you that like kind of

scrunch in which I hate when girls wear ankle boots and there's like this huge

gap around their ankle I think it just makes you look really weird and

especially for shorter girls like me if you want to look thinner and have a

longer looking leg and you want to wear a bootie you want something really tight

to your ankle so these boots are awesome they're great with you know a skirt you

know a dress you can wear these with pants like with these red pants it's

gonna look fantastic so absolutely love them these boots are

awesome so if I can't find these because things to do sell out from Zara quickly

I mean since I did get these in Europe I will link below as I will with

everything either the product itself or a similar product okay let's get into

some sweaters because it's fall even though it's crazy weather here in New

York but I don't know so I went to j.crew and j.crew doesn't really work

for me generally speaking because I'm small and I find that their clothes

often are cut quite boxy so it's just not really my style um but maybe of

changing so this is a little sweater from j.crew and the cool thing about it

is as you can see the details here on the sleeves it's such a great like my

husband of course is like don't you have something like that which I do I have a

gray sweater with one little ruffle but I don't have three and it's not white so

it's different and I thought this was a great you know basic now this I did get

and j.crew is in their clearance which they have such an awesome clearance

section they're on there's sales section or whatever so

it's only like 30 bucks but this is a great sweater I know I'm gonna get a lot

of use out of this and I cannot wait to wear and to style it up another sweater

and randomly like I'm not one of those girls that like often goes for like the

saley sale racks but I got really lucky with this so this is a red you see

the theme here sweater I got this from forever 21 it's slightly cropped so yeah

I got a medium I would never usually wear a medium but I didn't want it to

feel like too short and also just you know too small so this is perfect I love

this color red and I thought with jeans this is gonna look amazing I need to cut

some strings right with jeans it's gonna look amazing you know with some like sort of

distressed jeans like denim I can also do it with some black skinnies or even

like faux leather leggings would look great with this or even over a skirt

like I'm really loving that sort of like Oh Maj to the 90s with like a long kind

of flowy skirt and something you know like a nice chunky sort of sweater I

love that if it looks really cool so I have a few jackets here is well so we've

got this jacket I'm gonna keep it on the hanger I think it'll be easy to see

double-breasted I also got this from Zara and I oh the love I have for this

like I can't even tell you forgot how much I love double-breasted jackets I

think they're so sexy if you're wearing and I have like no chest at all if

you're wearing like a bra a little bit of lace and that just teeny little bit

sticks out like looks really nice but you could also wear this you know if you

have a normal job and you need to wear this to work you could totally wear that

just wear shirt underneath it or just make sure that your bras I'm sticking

out but because it's double breasted this is amazing you can wear open you

know four a more casual look you can wear this

closed with jeans it looks fantastic so and then even with those red pants it

looks awesome and there is like a red you know stitching in here so it's got

like gray and a little bit of orange and red so it's perfect for Fall

so nice looks really expensive and it wasn't it was a little bit over $100 so

a good find I got this jacket which is Elizabeth and James so you know you know

fashion you know Elizabeth and James is not inexpensive at all and I think I got

this you know it's a jacket so of course it is an investment but I got it for I

believe was one hundred and fifty dollars and I got this from TJ Maxx so

stores like that are great I really really needed a black jacket mine I you

know this is a staple so you do want to invest in something like this for sure

and what I love about this is the length that's slightly longer it just it it

just looks expensive because it is protected Elizabeth and James it's got a

really nice cuff here it's just classic it's beautiful I know I'm gonna get a

ton of wear out of this so I'm really excited about that again with the theme

you're gonna guess it yep we're going more red here so this is a dress

obviously I haven't worn it yet yet that I got from forever 21 so like talk about

ha-cha-cha hottie patottie this you know I saw it online I was like oh my god I

love it I love a dress like this it makes me

feel very Parisian I love that it has I don't even know what you would call

embellished Bern do you know so it's like semi sheer it has a great like

cinched in waist and man does it make your booty look good

because you really get that like tiny waist

here's your butt so it's really feminine gorgeous it has this like neck tie which

I love that so it kind of has that like slightly 70s vibe this will look

great with booties I think amazingly cute with booties like

those black booties that I had you know you could definitely wear if you want to

keep it just like classic with some like nice heels you can even dress it down

and wear like some slides or even like tennies if that's your thing it's not

my thing I don't do that but maybe it's yours and then lastly I got this little

beret oh don't you love beret so I also got this from Zara I you know

was on the fence I still am slightly on the fence about this but I thought why

not you know like cute fall like with a nice chunky sweater little beret throw

on you know your jeans and you're good to go on the weekend so I'll keep you

posted on this so those are some of the things that I got you know recently

I'm loving the the red trend this fall I think it's it's just so empowering it's

feminine it's beautiful and so many people look great in red so I'd love to

hear from you what is your favorite item of the ones that I've shown here of

course I'm going to link everything it might be kind of hard so a lot of the

things that I will link below just to be totally honest with you they'll probably

I'm Kamille Hitz, and I'm the chair of the fashion department and merchandising.

For merchandising, you should love fashion.

You should absolutely adore fashion, and adore going out and finding the newest trends,

and making people look their best.

For fashion merchandisers, you can work for all sides of the industry.

You can work for both the designer slash clothing manufacturers,

and you can work for the retail stores.

You can work as an image consultant.

You can work for the manufacturers as one of the go-betweens between the design and sales staff,

helping everyone know what the customer wants, what is forecast for the future,

the trends that are going to come up.

You can also style.

There are many stylists, and you can style business people, people for videos and movies,

people for weddings, so all of that, knowing where you want to go,

I would go to community college to try all of that out, and figure it out,

and then move on for a bachelor's degree, or into the industry.

Just straight into a job.

A student who graduated from the Fashion Merchandising program at our Center for

Career Services in 2012 came back to talk to current students about his

phenomenal success as the custom designer to the stars. The New Rochelle High

School graduate, who goes by the name of OSH, was happy to give advice to the

class and to encourage them to reach for their dreams.

Let's inspect the work because this is a lot of work.

Look at the detail on this.

And you, you quilted your own leather, right?

Yes, yes. This is the leather and the style that goes with it.

So, you quilted your own leather and you painted your own textile, right?

Yeah, I legit was adding paint spots to it and I pieced it together and everything and added the quilted pieces.

And then you matched it with the pink.

Zorrata: An Online Source For Men's and Women's Fashion Accessories - Duration: 2:09.

Zorrata is a fashion jewelry brand.

We focus on designing all sorts of jewelry pieces, such as rings, bracelets, necklaces

and we're going to be introducing our new watch in the following months.

When we were children, me and my brother we worked with my father who had a jewelry company at the time.

We understood the market, we had somewhat of a passion for it.

We realized there was a demand for men's fashion, something that wasn't available on the market.

I started off the company myself and about six months later my older brother came on.

As a small business owner, we wear different hats and one of my main focuses is logistics.

Any e-commerce brand, when they first start off, one of the biggest challenges for them

is going to be the logistics.

In the beginning we were shipping with four different shipping carriers.

A lot of our customers would receive our packages in two or three weeks and it was a big issue for us.

We were manually spending hours on hours a day printing these labels,

especially during our holiday peak season.

But that was a big challenge for us and FedEx came in. They gave us a solution for that.

They actually introduced us to a company called ShipStation.

With ShipStation, it pulls all your orders, the addresses, the email addresses, the phone numbers.

With almost the click of a button all our labels are printed out and we're ready to go.

So when a customer makes a purchase, the order comes through. We send it off to ShipStation.

And then from ShipStation we send it over to our fulfillment centre, which is in house here

And then we have individuals there that package the product. They put it into the FedEx packs that we use.

Slap a label on it. And then the FedEx driver picks it up once a day.

And within two, three business days you can have that package even on the other side of the world if you want.

Currently we're shipping all around the world.

We ship to a lot of the Arab countries, Australia, of course North America and South America.

Pretty much anywhere, you name it.

FedEx has been a huge help to the growth of our business.

They allow us to reach markets that we weren't able to before with a faster delivery time.

There's going to be a lot more new markets, new opportunities,

and I believe FedEx is going to do that for us.

ah about fashion week...

It´s a crazy happening for sure

It may not have the same impact these days

it´s not the same money anymore in the industry

A lot of fashion weeks are sponsored by big companies to survive

But still there are a lot of talented people working backstage

And we got a lot of great designers here in Sweden

So I think that Stockholm Fashion Week has a lot to offer

Then of course we have a few bad attitude people that you just wanna kick somewhere

But this year I only meet a lot of good people with passion

So I´m super happy about it

It´s a lot like Russian roulette
