So we have a hip pocket on the right hand side.

Two and half in.

Six.

Two and a half.

Two and three quarters.

How many years have you been at Anderson & Sheppard?

Mm, thirty, forty years now.

A long time.

We use the machines

to do the seams, to strengthen it.

But a lot of it is hand sewn.

The fly is hand sewn.

The pocket mouth, inside, is hand sewn.

Then the insides are finished.

Right.

That's now done, and we go over to the pressing machine.

You mark out the top sides. You transfer the information onto the underneath ones,

to the right side.

Same on the underside.

And then you mark out your bits that you need.

The bands, and the fly and the button catcher, and then the rest of it you get bits to piece

together sort of thing.

And away you go.

And here we have all the bits and pieces.

So linen that will go behind the pocket, and then the pocketing and this is the demet,

which will go on top of the canvas when we make the canvas up, to build it up.

So mark stitching we use a basting cotton.

It's basically just so that when the two pieces of cloth get separated,

the mark stitch will then be on the other side of the cloth.

And it just helps us for like working out where different things are on the cloth.

So like the pocket, the lapel, so where it will roll.

The button holes.

The shoulders.

Basically I'm going over the chalk marks that the cutters would do upstairs and we'll just

decide the size of the outbreast pocket that we think is the best size with relation to

how big the job is.

Yeah, we're kind of just like refine the lines that they do upstairs.

For the first fitting, we will actually put lining in the pockets in.

So quite a lot of the work is done.

So it will look like a proper jacket once it's tried on the customer.

On a forward all of the pockets are put in.

An undercollar, which we make up ourselves.

And the sleeves are basted in with no linings.

So the fitting will be done by one of the cutters and all the alterations will be marked.

If it is a bit tight or it needs letting out or maybe the sleeves are a bit long or maybe

if the sleeves need lengthening.

Then it will come back to me and then we will then put the back lining in.

Here's one with the sleeves fully made up.

All the lining is in.

And all of the button holes will all be done by hand by someone we call the finisher.

The cutter is cutting them, the tailor is putting them together.

The finishing is actually finishing the product.

It's closing everything.

It's actually many hours.

We do work many hours for the jacket.

And I'm not sure if the customer knows that..

But definitely they see the value and the results of it, so.

Must be something special about it.

I've been at Anderson & Sheppard for right about now over thirty years.

I would say about thirty three years.

Now a suit off the peg, the lapel will be totally ironed totally right flat to the first

button hole, which is where our mark stitch is.

But on a bespoke suit what we do, the roll is all determined by via the collar.

The undercollar.

You get it lined up.

Exactly where the first button hole would be.

And there we have it rolling to the first button.

All that's pressed is from here to here.

Our forward is now ready for the fitting on the customer.

–Good afternoon, sir.

–Are you keeping well?

–Very well, and you?

–Okay, let's just turn you around into this mirror please.

We'll just work our way round from the top.

Once again, good on the neck.

It's nice, you got a nice half inch of collar showing all the way around.

Shoulders are good.

I'd personally leave them at that.

I wouldn't draw them in, or it'll feel too tight and restrictive.

Got a little bit of ease in the back.

We might give you just a fraction more ease.

It's a little tight.

Actually, here.

Just to give a bit of...

Waist is nice.

Length looks good.

How do you feel about length?

Oh, I love it.

It looks great.

It's amazing.

Let's try to find a bit of cuff.

The only other thing at first glance I would do as well..

The shirt looks a good length.

What I'd personally do would be bring that down.

What you want to show is between a quarter and maybe half an inch of cuff.

Also...

Let's pick the back of the sleeve up as well.

What it'll do is give a cleaner line down the back of the sleeve

so it's not bunching up.

At the moment there's a little bit...yeah, just the back of the crowns of the sleeve

need to be picked up a fraction.

Which helps.

Then unto the front.

Button position.

Lapels are sitting nice over the chest.

Lapel width is a nice width for you.

Chest looks good.

It's got a little bit of drape.

Once again, I'd leave that.

I wouldn't take any of that away.

Okay.

How does it feel?

Really, really comfy.

Yeah.

I do feel a bit of umm...

We'll let it go a fraction in the back.

Otherwise, I love the shape.

Shape's good.

It's got suppression.

Lapel width, nice width.

–In general, looks very, very nice.

–Excellent.

About four weeks, sir.

Hello everyone!

I'm making a video that is different from the previous ones

Today is not about makeup

But it's still about fashion!

Because i've been buying clothes via online recently

Actually i didn't plan to make this video

And i thought why not to make this video as many are interested to

I also love fashion other than fashion

But i'm not that expert in fashion

I understand more about makeup than fashion

And anyway, i have a lot of new clothes now

I'm gonna show you and share to you about my experience of online shopping

So i just received the first package

About an hour ago

This is from Pomelo

I bought it from Pomelo

It's my first time

The first clothe that i bought is a top

And this is it, in mustard yellow color

I'm gonna try it first

So this is the first top

Luckily, the size is just right for me, which is in xs size

It's not bad

I actually don't really like a top with no sleeve

Because i think that my arms are big

Actually, they're not big but my arms are short

So the fat is all at here

So it looks big while my body is small

But I think this is nice and easy to match with the bottom, so i bought it

The quality is good and it's about Rp. 100,000s

The quality is really good, not like a cheap clothe

A really good quality

The sewing is neat too

So what do you think of this?

I personally like this

I just read this on the Pomelo's tag

If the clothes that we buy from them are not suit for us, or the size isn't right for us

We can change, we can return

But don't take this out

So it's pretty good

And this is the 2nd clothe that i bought

I'm not sure i'm gonna like it or not

Actually, i rarely dress up in such this top

And i'm bored with my all clothes

So i wanna try different styles

The quality and the sewing are good and neat too

Doesn't look like a cheap top while it's not expensive

As this is cropped top, so i'm wearing high waist jeans

To cover my stomach

I think the cut is too large

But i try it first

But, i think this is too big for me

Especially on the waist part

It's too large for me

And the tag is on the middle of these

I think this one is just so-so

I'm gonna get a tailor to make this smaller

If this the size is right for me, it looks not bad

I love to buy one piece clothe

Because it's really convenient to wear

And i don't have to think what to match with

Just wear it and it's done

The next outfit is this one

This one looks so girly, feminine, like a calm girl

So this is the dress

Looks like, i don't like it

Because it doesn't really fit on me

The sleeves are too long for me

As you can see

But there are rubbers here so i can pull them up

But it just doesn't really fit on my body

And i think these areas are too big for me

Like the arms are too big

Not so good on me

What do you think? Should i return it?

I still have another one, the last piece from Pomelo

Which is a top like this

I saw the model wearing this and looked not bad

I like clothes that are in bright color like this

Because it makes me look fairer

This is the last piece from Pomelo and it looks like this

This is tied by myself

But the cut is a bit lower on this area

So you have to wear tank top to cover it

So it's noticeable a little bit

But overall, i like the cutting

Because it's fit on me

Luckily, most of the clothes from Pomelo are fit on me

There are too big or small clothes for me, they're just right in the sizes

It turns out that it's not easy making a haul video

It's very hot!

The sewing is really neat

And on the same day, i also bought some from Berrybenka

But it's different from Pomelo

Like i pay them today, i receive it on the next 2 days

The delivery is really fast

I bought 2 clothes from them

But the size is really really big

Compare to my body

This is sooooo big

Okay, i'm wearing it now and it turns out not as big as what it's looked

Even though it's so loose

I looked like the scarecrow

Btw, i bought it at Berrybenka because..

They're having a promotion, 2 clothes for Rp. 219,000

The second clothe is this

Actually, i don't like most of the clothes from Berrybenka

Because.. i don't really like them

But i was curious so i bought

The quality is good but not as good as Pomelo's

This is the 2nd clothe from Berrybenka

It turns out not so bad when wearing it

The size is quite fit on my body

But it's pretty big on the lower part

The cut is pretty long too

Up to here

I quite love this outfit

It's actually pretty old school

Like a bit vintage, in 1980s or 1990s

But i like it

I like clothes that are in vintage styles

It looks cute

So this clothe is about Rp. 110,000

So cheap right?

So that's all from Berrybenka

My suggestion to shop at Bereybenka is have a look on the sizes

So what you pay is what you get

Yes they're cheaper but the quality..

Is just okay, not so bad yet not so good

The last one is i bought from

FIVE, in the mall in Batam

Quite fit on my body

The length is just right for me

Not too long yet not too short

I wasn't interested at the first time i saw the model wearing the clothes

Because it gave me kind of impression

Like, I'm very confused seeing a thin model wearing clothes

Like their bodies are very flat and thin

And i can't imagine it as my body is different

My body is quite plump, the fats are everywhere

So i randomly chose some of them

But when i received the package

It turned out that i was impressed by the quality as it's very good

And when i tried it, it turned out to be good on me and i like it

This dress is very cute

I look like a cinderella who is going to sweep

This is what it looks like, a bit babydoll and oversize

So it's still fit on you, whether you're slim or chubby

So what do you think? Cute or not?

I like it though as it's very comfy

And the next one is a top from ATS too

Oh.. my hanger is very ugly

But i still had no idea what bottom to match with, so i wear this first

The last one from ATS label is a blazer

And the color is like yellowish to brown

This quality is really good too

So if you're looking for blazers, i highly recommend this one

As usual, my hands are short

So the sleeves are always oversize

I have to fold it

I really love the blazer

Because it's a bit oversize

As you can see, it's pretty big

But i don't mind as it's quite trendy with the oversize blazer now

So i'm okay with that, i love it

Highly recommend this piece as this is suitable for works

Or other formal event, this is really good

And the color is unique too

Especially, it's fall session now

Even though there's no fall season in Indonesia

The fabric is quite thick, so you'll feel hot when wearing this

I love this dress as it fits on my body

And i'm planning to go Korea in November, i think i can wear this

I don't know, i might feel cold in there

How To Dress Your Age | How to Dress In Your 20s, 30s & 40s - Duration: 5:22.

You know sometimes it's difficult for us to gauge how we should be dressing. Maybe

you feel like you're too young and it's hard for you to dress up, or you're maybe

older and you want to try out some of those youthful trends but don't know if

it would look weird. But remember when it comes to style and fashion there are no

hard set in stone rules you can always push the boundaries and try new things.

These will most likely just be suggestions to kind of guide you.

First let's start how you should be dressing when you're in your 20's. So if you're in

your 20's, like me, you are in what I like to call the sweet spot. Typically you're

probably still single, usually fewer responsibilities, you

probably have more time in your hands. Which overall gives you a lot of

flexibility when it comes to your aesthetic and what is deemed acceptable.

And keep in mind that most brands cater to this age group, so there's a wide

range of styles and fits out there for you. But this is still the right time to

start investing in staples. You are starting to get older and you will be

maturing very soon, so you need at least one good pair of leather shoes. Again,

you're getting older you're gonna need at least one good sharp suit, at least a

good pair of denim. You're also gonna want a great watch. These are items where

you do want to spend a little bit more because you're gonna be wearing it

probably into your 30's and even your 40's. If it's a great timeless piece. A good

So now time has flown by and you have maturity and wisdom under your belt. You

group. Which means you can still experiment with the new trends that are

the more the merrier. You also want to develop a personal uniform. Now you could

probably be married, you could probably have kids, you could probably have a job.

a personal uniform. You know what works best with you, you know what gets you the

most compliments. Which means buy items that fit that aesthetic and wear that

all the time. And finally the last age group, let's talk about 40's and just

middle-aged men. By this time, your styles like a fine wine, it gets better with age.

You no longer have to deal with the fluff of trends. You stick to the

classics that you know look good, always. The two things you want to really focus

on though are fit and color palette. You probably don't look as trim and as

composed as you did. Which means fit will be an important

key factor. You want to make sure your clothes fit so well to your body

silhouette that it makes you look younger, it makes you look more fit. And

the second thing that I talked about was color palette. To keep your wardrobe

refresh and not wear the same thing all the time, you can still look at color

palettes in what is trending. So you don't have to worry about the latest

trends that 15 and 20 year olds are doing. But you can worry about what color

trends are working, what is more popular now to keep your wardrobe refreshed with

the style that you already have built. This is a great way to keep your

wardrobe refreshed. Keep it in style without having to actually follow trends,

if that makes sense. And that's basically it guys. That's a basic guide on how guys

Collections are paying homage while the sci-fi sequel is being deemed a must-see: I will be out there on opening day, says Opening Ceremonys Humberto Leon.

Thirty-five years after Blade Runner hit the big screen, Blade Runner 2049, opening Oct.

6, is the most hotly anticipated fashion film of the year.

The retro-futuristic costumes from the original — designed by Michael Kaplan and Charles Knode, on sets conceptualized by visual futurist Syd Mead — blended 1940s noir and 1980s punk, creating a gritty-glam aesthetic that still influences fashion today. .

Pierre Hardys fall Replicante shoe collection incorporates futuristic shapes and color-blocking, while Raf Simons spring 2018 menswear collection at New York Fashion Week was a rain-gear and replicant homage in Manhattans Chinatown.

"I will be out there, for sure, on opening day," says Opening Ceremony designer Humberto Leon, who tapped Mead, the futurist for the original and the sequel, for a fashion collaboration in 2016.

Blade Runner 2049 costume designer Renee April (Arrival, Rise of the Planet of the Apes) admits the pressure was on, saying that director Denis Villeneuve wanted her to hint at the same world but push it further.

In the first film, it was raining and dark, but now its raining and snowing and toxic and brutal..

My learning process through this program

was very satisfying

because at the beginning

I didn't know what to expect about it

and I was not conscious

of the level of understanding

not of design

but how the industry works

like the fashion industry.

Because sometimes,

as designers,

we only think about concepts,

about creativity

but we don't think about the real world

and the real industry.

I have realized

and appreciated

the way the program was run

because at the beginning,

lessons were very theoretical

and we often listen to people

who were already on the labour market

Sometimes you get demotivated

but at the same time you get motivated

because you think you will never have the same opportunity as them

but you want to try and fight.

At that moment,

you really appreciate all the theory you have learnt

and you realized that you learn a lot at practice

My advice to any fashion student,

to any fashion desing student

who is going to go into industry

would be mainly to be open-minded.

When you start in fashion business,

the first advice is to be strong.

You should never discourage,

because at the beginning

you are learning,

so you think you are not doing anything,

you don't understand

or you are afraid.

However,

at the end you realized you really know what you are doing

and you dare to do something.
