'Life was HELL' North Korea defector reveals what its REALLY like in Kim's kingdom

Choi Kwanghyuk escaped into China after being imprisoned and tortured by Kim's ruthless G-men. He was held captive where he was interrogated and was due to be sent to one of Kim's concentration camps.

The defector managed to flee before he could be sent to the gulag and escaped over the border. Savage persecution was brought on Choi because he founded an "underground church" dedicated to Christianity.

The 55-year-old has spoken out as tensions rage between the US and North Korea with three aircraft carriers arriving in the Pacific.

Choi revealed how he hid his faith from the authorities are worked with nine friends to found a secret church, reports Fox News. He faced the death penalty if they found out he was a Christian.

North Korea has no official religion, but is built around a cult of personality dedicated to the Kims. Defectors often flee the rogue state hoping of a better life.

It emerged today two defectors in China are feared to have been kidnapped and returned to North Korea.

The secret pastor was arrested in 2008 after North Korean authorities caught up with, but he denied he was a Christian.

Choi said: "I decided to escape because I thought that once they sent me to the other camp, they could eventually send me to the concentration camp or kill me.

"I was traveling back and forth between China and North Korea, but they kept searching for me, and I knew it could put my friends in danger too, so I left.".

He feared being taken to infamous Camp 22, where prisoners live 100 to a room, are tortured brutally, and are worked until they die.

But even before his arrest, life was hard – describing the "very cold winters' where they would have to "dig a big hole" to store food. He said: "There is no freedom in North Korea.

Choi applied for asylum with the US in 2013 and moved to LA. He has now dedicated himself to spreading the word about Kim's regime. War fears loom between the US and North Korea as Kim continues to develop nuclear ICBMs.

What If Annabelle Was Real? - Duration: 5:40.

I mean… the one thing that scares me more than little girl ghosts are little girl dolls

that are possessed with a demonic malicious spirit….ammmm I right?

Of course I am.

So, understandably, the story of Annabelle, the spooky demon doll, is pretty awful…but

what if it was real?

Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions where we are celebrating Halloween

with a few spooky episodes!

Don't worry if you're watching after October 31st…Halloween is for life not just for

Christmas…wait..what.

I am Rebecca Felgate…join me as I get back on track and ask What if Annabelle Was Real?

Before I get stuck like a knife in to the back of this spooky video, I want to remind

you die hard questioners that we have a Patreon, and if you want to help support content creation

on this channel, then head on over there and see what we have to offer you in return.

OKAY…Annabelle…right guys…I hate to break it to you, but for those that don't

know….

Annabelle IS real.

I know, I know…it makes me want to cry tears of literal doom, too.

The Annabelle movie Franchise was inspired by real life movie events.

The Conjuring, Annabelle and Annabelle Creations all come from the story of one raggedy Anne

doll, and their current owners, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The real life Annabelle is less terrifying to look at than the Hollywood porcelain doll,

I dare say she is cute… but her back story is less cute.

Unlike in the movie, Annabelle was not given to a wife by her husband, nor was she a vintage

doll with a dubious back story involving a satanic cult.

The real story… but lets use the word real with a teensy weensy pinch of salt her, comes

from Annabelle's owners, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The Warrens own the Warren Occult Museum, where Annabelle is currently held.

The Warrens feature in the Annabelle movies and are indeed real people.

Ed died in 2006, but he and Lorraine's story surrounding Annabelle goes like this….they

acquired the Doll of a concerned young woman named Donna.

Donna was a nursing student at the time she was given the doll for her 28th birthday by

her mother.

Donna shared a home with her friend, Angie when, like in the movie, they noticed it was

moving seemingly of its own accord.

According to Ed and Lorraine, Annabelle would leave messages for Donna and Angie and seemed

to be at the centre of several paranormal occurrences.

Donna even claimed there was blood on the doll one day that seemed to come from nowhere.

According to the Warren's, Donna and Angie contacted a medium who said the doll was haunted

by a 7 year old girl named Annabelle, giving the doll her name.

Ed, however, claimed that …I quote….God does not allow a child's spirit to go into

a doll…this was a devil, a demon inside the doll which was impersonating the spirit

of a child."

It was after this alleged demon harmed Angie's fiancé that the girls decided enough was

enough and contacted the Warrens.

The Warren's website claims that, after they became in possession of the doll, a visitor

to their museum died.

Oddly, they don't give a name.

You may notice that Donna, Angie and Lou are missing last names too, which makes them decidedly

ungooglable.

Although Annabelle has been exorcised several times it is believed that some energy is still

attached to this doll.

All of the information we have been given about this doll comes from two people, two

people who made money out of the paranormal… interesting.

So, we know the story from the Anabelle Hollywood movie franchise is based on a real life story……

But…who knows if the Warren's story is based in any truth at all?

If it is, and she was real, then blimey, that must mean demons are real too…and they really

do like to get inside mini human figures.

Annabelle, Robert and the gang are out there to get us….

Although isn't possessing a teeny and very kickable figure a kind of inefficient way

to cause satanic destruction?

Why not possess something bigger.

Think about it, though.

If Annabelle was real, would she stay locked up obediently in Perspex box in an innoculous

town in Conneticut….she has the power to kill a man but not escape a box?

Lol, no.

If Annabelle was real she would have ditched Connecticut years ago and strutted her stuff

like a big bad evil in a place she could do more damage…like New York.

Ooh, I've just thought of a new movie for the franchise….Annabelle: Murder in Manhattan….

Hollywood, feel free to send me that big fat cheque in the post….

Annabelle may have been real to the Warrens, but that doesn't means she is real….but

of course, that doesn't mean she isn't.

Like with ghosts, vampires and werewolves, scepticism is healthy, but any true questioner

should never turn their back on proof...the problem is, when it comes to this kind of

thing, Scientific proof seems to be lacking.

So guys, do you think Annabelle is real?

If she is, what is her game plan?

Will she ever escape her Perspex prison?

Are thick layers of plastic the one true way to stop demons?

Mmhmm.

What Was at Stake in the Reformation? - Duration: 1:11.

The Reformers were saying that we are justified by faith and by faith alone—that faith is

the sole instrumental cause for our justification meaning that the way we receive all the benefits

of Jesus work is through putting our trust in Him and in Him alone.

Now in contrast to that, the Roman communion

taught as they did at Trent, that faith is a necessary condition for salvation, but

you can have that true faith and still not be justified.

So you have radically different views of salvation, and those two views cannot be reconciled.

One of them is the gospel.

One of them is not.

And so what was at stake in the Reformation was the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And though Rome made many fine affirmations of traditional truths of the Christian faith,

by anathematizing the gospel, in my mind, they stopped being a legitimate church.

Did Queen Victoria really hate being pregnant – and what was she like as a mother? - Duration: 7:23.

Did Queen Victoria really hate being pregnant – and what was she like as a mother?

In ITV's Victoria we see Jenna Coleman as a monarch who isn't too keen on getting pregnant

again When we meet Queen Victoria in series two,

she has safely popped out her first kid and is protesting about being confined to the

nursery – but it won't be very long until the monarch is pregnant again.

Daisy Goodwin's ITV drama is true to life.

Despite her huge family, it seems the Queen was not all that keen on pregnancy or babies,

and she did not take easily to motherhood.

Babies were the unwelcome result of her active sex life with Albert, the "shadow side"

of marriage – and a major distraction from the more important business of being queen.

How many children did Queen Victoria have?

Victoria and Albert's firstborn Princess Victoria (Vicky) was followed less than a

year later by Prince Albert Edward (Bertie), and then by little Alice, Alfred, Helena,

Louise, Arthur, Leopold and Beatrice.

That makes a grand total of nine, born between 1840 and 1857.

Unusually for the Victorian period, all of them survived into adulthood, although their

youngest son Leopold suffered from haemophilia and died at the age of 30.

Did Queen Victoria resent her babies?

Modern writers have speculated that the queen may have suffered from postnatal depression

after many of her pregnancies.

She certainly struggled to bond with her children as newborns, and kept her distance from the

babies in their early years.

Little Vicky was born nine months after the royal wedding.

Queen Victoria saw her baby only twice a day, and certainly did not breastfeed.

Within another year she had given birth to her male heir, Bertie, who would go on to

become King Edward VII.

After that she slowed down a little, but she still managed to have nine within 17 years.

Despite her many pregnancies, Victoria seems not to have liked babies very much.

"Abstractedly, I have no tender for them till they have become a little human" she

once wrote.

"An ugly baby is a very nasty object – and the prettiest is frightful when undressed."

Later she wrote to her eldest daughter that she was "no admirer of babies generally"

and had been repulsed by her sons Bertie and Leopold ("frightful").

Aside from her feelings on babies, and the dangerous nature of giving birth in 19th century

Britain, Victoria had other reasons to resent becoming pregnant.

Each pregnancy took her away from her duties as queen.

While Albert was happy to step in and take over, Victoria did not like to be sidelined

and this led to a power struggle within the marriage.

As a female monarch she did not want pregnancy and motherhood to dominate her reign.

What were Victoria and Albert like as mother and father?

While Albert went for a hands-on approach as a father and took responsibility for the

kids' upbringing, Victoria preferred to keep her distance and instead focus on her

duties as a monarch – especially in the early years.

Albert's enthusiasm (and a lack of family planning) seems to have been the driving force

behind creating this massive brood.

But both Victoria and Albert wanted to create a model happy family to set a moral example

across Europe, and they wanted their children to be intelligent and educated.

Victoria hands over the baby (ITV) Albert devised a plan to create the perfect

princes and princesses.

In practice, this translated into a very strict, intense education with lots of harsh punishment

and pressure.

Life was all about Latin, Shakespeare, French, piano, German, maths, geography, science,

obedience and discipline.

Eldest son Bertie did not take to this regime at all, and instead of the intelligent, erudite

little replica of Prince Albert that everyone had hoped for, he was labelled a dunce and

diagnosed with a feeble brain by a quack doctor who measured the size of his head.

His parents despaired.

He was obstinate, stubborn and threw tantrums; as a young man he was reported to have been

found with the actress Nellie Clifton in his bed.

And when Albert died at the age of 42 after visiting Bertie to give him a good telling

off, Victoria blamed her eldest son.

She never forgave him.

While she was distant from her offspring when they were babies, she seems to have become

more involved in their lives as they became adults.

With Albert's untimely death, she was now a single mother to nine children – the oldest

an adult, the youngest just four years old.

For the rest of her time on the throne, Victoria was a central presence in the lives of her

children and grandchildren, as they married into royal families across Europe.

Did Victoria hate her children?

Queen Victoria and Prince Albert with Five of Their Children by Frederick Winterhalter

(Historical Picture Archive/Corbis) A picture emerges of a mother who was often

disappointed in her children, and who was at times controlling and frustrated.

She monitored the menstrual cycle of her son's wife, she tried to keep sickly son Leopold

wrapped in cotton wool, she was furious when her youngest daughter decided to get married

instead of devoting her life to looking after mum.

But despite all this, it is clear that she did love her children very much.

When Vicky married, mother and daughter wrote each other great piles of letters (8,000 survive),

sharing their advice and confessions and observations.

And while she had a tempestuous relationship with Bertie, she maintained good relations

with most of her children (and grandchildren) for much of her life.

In lesser-known correspondence she wrote of her love for her children, and she shared

her fear of losing them to an early death.

Perhaps we only remember her as unloving because she wrote so honestly in her diaries and private

letters, or because her correspondence was edited by men to leave all the icky feminine

womanly stuff out.
