What if the kidnap a zombie plot from Game of Thrones season seven was good?

The problem that I had with the 'capture of wight' plot from this past season

was how idiotic and improbable of a plan it was.

Tyrion suggesting that Cersei will be receptive if they show her proof that the wights are real

goes against everything that Tyrion knows about Cersei

Tyrion sending John and company off on an extremely dangerous quest just because he thinks there's a

minuscule chance that Circe will agree to join them if they succeed is not a believable plotline

even in a world where there's dragons and magic. So the simple solution to this plot hole

is to make the quest to capture a white Circe's idea not Tyrion's

Cersei promises a truce to Tyrion and Daenerys if they can bring her a wight. The journey to capture one makes much more sense

Here's how I believe the plot should have played out

We start Episode 5 with Bronn pulling Jamie from out of the lake and being immediately captured

by some of Danny's Dothraki as the battle is subsiding around them

When Danny gathers everyone Bronn bends the knee along with the rest of the Lannister soldiers, but Jamie doesn't?

Dany declares that Jaime must die of dragon fire along with the Tarly's

Tyrion convinces her to keep Jaime alive as a bargaining chip

And she begrudgingly agrees repaying his debt to Jaime for saving him from being executed by Tywin years earlier

Danny burns the Tarly's for refusing to bend the knee and Jamie sees that Dany isn't messing around

Tyrion sends Bronn to tell Cersei that he's willing to meet to discuss the terms of Jaime's release

Cersei gets angry at Jamie's being held captive

But she eventually agrees to the meeting and sends Bronn back with her message

Varys goes to King's Landing with Ser Davos to meet with Cersei who was accompanied by The Mountain

Various attempts to convince Cersei that The Night King and his Army of the Dead are approaching and to agree to a truce

or else Jaime dies a painful charred death she agrees to the armistice

But she says that she needs proof of the threat beyond the wall so Davos can quip, "You need proof of the undead?"

"You have A seven-foot-tall when standing right next to you!" Nevertheless those are her terms

She wants a white delivered to King's Landing along with Jaime

Varys guesses correctly that she is just stalling so that she can show up her defenses in King's Landing

But it doesn't matter

She has the leverage of holding King's Landing and the knowledge that Danny doesn't want to burn it to the ground

or else she would have done it by now, so Verys has no choice

but to return to Dragonstone with the news that they have to go capture a wight in order to get an armistice

And can pick up Gendry on the way if people want that fan service

Most of Danny's Council agrees that the objective is ridiculous and will be extremely difficult

but if that's what Cersei wants for the truce then they will at least need to attempt it. Also Danny doesn't mind the plan because

She's still not totally convinced about the army of the Dead beyond the wall either

John says he should lead the mission to go to Eastwatch because he knows the north and the dead better than anyone

Danny says she'll allow John to go, but on the condition that she flies him there on her dragons

She doesn't have the patience to wait around while John sails all the way to Eastwatch

Danny can also take Jorah and Gendry if people want that fan service

She offers to fly over the wall and take John directly to some White's but Tyrion dissuades her,

Reminding her how important her safety is to their plan

So they compromise with her staying at Eastwatch with her dragons while John and company capture the wight

Actually, my next video is going to discuss fixing the island fight

But essentially the same plot points happen. The fellowship goes north

Captures a wight, Gendry runs back and alerts Danny who is already at East Watch

So they don't need to rely on time-traveling Ravens or teleporting dragons to save the day. And then Danny rescues them

but Vissarion dies

By using this version of the plot we get to eliminate several deus ex machinas. So Jaime and Bronn don't drift 200 yards away in armor

They're fished out by the Dothraki. And the fellowship doesn't have to sit on the island waiting for a raven and Danny to come from Dragonstone.

She's already at East Watch, but the main improvement is that the asinine weight idea is Cersei's not Tyrion's

It's suicidal, but it's a necessary part of the negotiation. At the end of episode 6

We're essentially in the exact same situation as the actual TV series, but the plot to get us. There is much more believable

My next video will be trying to fix the island battle beyond the wall from episode 6 and after that one is reworking the plot

To give Littlefinger the ending that he deserved
