Near's DARK Secrets! - An Analysis of Near (Death Note) | PhulAnalyses - Duration: 7:32.

Before watching I recommend you watch last week's video on L's ideologies.

Don't worry, it's only 5 minutes long, and it would be easier to understand some

things in this video if you watch last week's.

Major spoilers beware.

*INTRO*

So, the new Death Note movie came out…....*sigh*.

They ruined a ton of characters…..they also removed a ton…...So in order to get our

minds off of this movie as much as possible, let's talk about a character who was never

in this movie at all.

The character of Nate River, or Near, is quite an interesting character.

If you really hate him, then I suggest you read the manga.

Not only is his character far more interesting, as in, he makes less asspulls, he's more

of a sociopath, and he's more intelligent, but this video will be mostly covering the

manga of Death Note.

Remember, I won't be necessarily making one analysis on Near, but rather, I'm going

to take notes of several things and mention or make up a few theories here and there.

Arguably the most popular theory out there is that Near used the Death Note on Mikami

to assure his victory at the final confrontation.

This theory was proposed by the Redditor, I mean, by Matsuda in the epilogue chapter.

But, let's take a look at its plausibility: the methodical Mikami didn't check whether

the Death Note was real or fake, Mikami mysteriously died in prison ten days later, and it would

have assured Near's victory.

But then again, Near did tell Rester that they wouldn't kill X-Kira or L-Kira because

it's not how L did things.

But, then again, he could have been lying so he doesn't let the SPK know that he will

do this, not to mention L presented himself as lacking morality, and Near was shown to

do anything for victory, so it is likely he used the Death Note, not to mention he lacks

a sense of morality.

This lack of morality is known as materialism.

Materialism is the belief in nothing but physical matter, that includes morality.

Now why do I say that?

You see, he has been shown to have cheated at darts, he overall doesn't care about

people, and, most of all, in the one-shot manga special, he recalls L stating that he

doesn't have a sense of justice, and this was shown to have been Near's inspiration.

Of course, this was just a lie (you'd know that if you had listened to me at the beginning

of the video) used to make the Wammy Kids succeed where L fails.

You see, Near lacks a sense of justice, which is why he won.

L's emotions and PLATONIC feelings towards Light were what caused him to lose in the

end.

However, Near didn't care.

He used the Death Note without caring about what's right or wrong.

That is what caused him to win and become the third L.

But what may have symbolized him becoming the third L?

You see, at the very end of the manga you see Near eating a chocolate as a homage to

Mello.

But, I think it's more than just a tribute.

I think it symbolizes becoming L. Why do I say that?

You see, many people have made the observation that Mello and Near represent two halves of

L: Mello represents the emotional side of L, as well as his initiative, while Near represents

his analytical side.

While Mello eats sweets like L, Near crouches and stacks things like L. Near eating the

chocolate, which is something Mello does, represents him becoming L as he did something

Mello, the other half of L, would do.

No, I'm not saying that he adapted Mello's "quirks", but just at that moment since

he did something the other half of L would do, it represents him becoming L.

Despite this though, at the final confrontation, the fact that he used the Death Note was something

more Light-like than L-like.

In fact, Mello is very similar to Light as well: They're both reckless and are associated

with warmer colours.

Perhaps Light was the kind of person L trained the Wammy kids to be like?

In fact, I think that Near may not have actually scored the highest among the other Wammy orphans!

That's ridiculous, PhulaTrox, why would you think that?

You see, it has constantly been implied that Near cheats a lot.

It's very possible that he may have cheated to become #1 at the Wammy House!

It seems Mello shouldn't have lived such an envious life.

Of course, I'm not saying he is not the smartest, I mean, probably his intelligence

is what allowed him to cheat in the competitions set up by the Wammy Institution, so he may

have scored number 1 anyways.

Hang on, but if he has such a devious nature and lacks a moral compass, then why does he

hate Kira?

I mean, he's constantly shown to be extremely angry when someone supports Kira or when he

remembered Kira's murderous nature.

Well, I think it's not because he thinks Kira is doing the wrong thing, but rather

because he is angry that Kira killed L. Honestly, besides idolizing L, I think he actually genuinely

likes L as a person.

So when he became the successor to L, Ryuk became attached to him.

However, knowing the nature of Ryuk, the sad truth is that Ryuk might kill him.

You see, Ryuk doesn't really care much about other people, having a very laid back and

apathetic personality, and would have killed Light if he had gotten bored thanks to him.

In the one-shot manga special, Near turned down the C-Kira case because "it's not

in his interest".

If Near keeps on doing this with some cases then Ryuk will get bored, and….that'll

be the end of Near.

However, Near's existence still left an impact on the anime of Death Note.

You see here, while Near is associated with cooler colours, like light blue, Kira is associated

with warm colours like red.

This creates some sort of angel-demon like relationship between Near and Kira.

You see, while warm colours often represent the demon, cool colours represent the angel.

The fact that Near is displayed as being associated with cool colours while having no sense of

justice at all plays into this anime's message of there being no absolute morality.

Elliott Gruzin made a far better analysis on this, but he said this is the case with

L, and if you watched last week's video, then you would know that L actually does have

a sense of justice, unlike Near.

Speaking of the anime, I think Near does something so devious, that he's just downright murderous

(OK, that's bit of a stretch).

I think Near KILLED Misa using the Death Note (huh, doesn't sound so bad).

But, PhulaTrox, why would you say that, didn't Misa commit suicide from depression due to

Light's death?

That's what I thought, until this thought came to mind (by the way it turns out I'm

not the only one who thought of this theory).

You see, shouldn't Misa have a really long lifespan even AFTER quartering it?

Just look, she acquired Gelus' lifespan, who had the lifespan of the man who attacked

her and probably a few others, and the lifespan of Rem, who had the lifespan of L and Watari.

That's A LOT!

And we know that the only way for one to die before the lifespan says you'll die is through

a Death Note.

So then why would she commit suicide even though she has a large lifespan?

It makes sense for Near to get rid of a potential threat then use "suicide" to make it look

convincing.

ALSO, what I found strange about the anime was that Near knocked down his doll representing

Misa.

And he does that to the doll whose person it represents dies.

If you're not convinced they LITERALLY zoomed in on the knocked down Misa doll for a few

seconds.

Seems strange isn't it?

Dark Souls: LA EPICA HISTORIA...que no pudo ser - Duration: 6:51.

Today I want to talk to you about a story that wasn't included

in the final version of Dark Souls, but was discovered

in the game's archives.

There, some audio files with dialogues of unfinished stories

were found, including the alternate story

of Oscar of Astora,

the knight who uses the iconic armor that appears

in some Dark Souls' covers.

In this video, I'm going to tell you that story,

which I assure you that if it had developed,

it would have turned Oscar into the game's most important NPC

LET'S GO!

First of all, I'm going to summarize briefly

the story of Oscar of Astora, for those who don't know it.

At the beginning of Dark Souls, this knight

helps us throwing a corpse with the key of the prison

where we are locked in.

It seems that Oscar noticed

that we didn't become hollow and lost our sanity

and decides to lend us a hand to escape

the Undead Asylum.

Later, we find this knight moribund.

Turns out that Oscar was trying to fulfill

the undead prophecy and arrive to the land of the

Old Lords. But in the battle against the

Asylum Demon he was severely wounded.

As he saw that death was coming for him, Oscar

entrusts us to continue his mission

and he gives us some Estus Flasks and a key to escape the prison.

...Regrettably,

I have failed in my mission...

…But perhaps you can keep the torch lit…

…There is an old saying in my family…

…Thou who art Undead, art chosen…

…In thine exodus from the Undead Asylum,

maketh pilgrimage to the land of Ancient Lords…

…When thou ringeth the Bell of Awakening,

the fate of the Undead thou shalt know.

…Well, now you know…

And I can die with hope in my heart…

If in the lapse of our adventure we return

to the game's starting zone, we realize

about Oscar's cruel fate.

He will attack us with fiery force

because he became hollow and lost his sanity completely.

But this wasn't the destiny

that From Software developers thought for this character

initially.

In an alternate story, found within

the game files, our character

would encounter Oscar outside the Asylum.

Probably,, there was a starting conversation,

which hasn't been acknowledged, and then after ringing

the two bells, we would talk to him near Sen's Fortress.

Oscar would thank us for ringing the Bells of Awakening,

and would tell us that he talked with Frampt.

A pleasure to meet you, Sage Frampt has

spoken to me about you. I'm Oscar of Astora.

I wish you thank you for ringing the Bell of Awakening.

I have received the word of Sage Frampt. I'll be fine.

You ought to focus on yourself. Maybe

we each fulfill our respective purposes. I'm preparing to leave.

I will follow Sage Frampt's instructions

and will seek Anor Londo by way of Sen's Fortress.

I hope that we meet again somewhere,

one day.

Remember that Frampt is a primordial serpent,

friend of Lord Gwyn, who

tasks us the mission of kindling the First Flame

and extend the Age of Fire.

But there's another serpent whose intentions are totally different.

We're talking about Kaathe,

leader of the Darkwraith covenant, who seeks

to accomplish the plans of the Furtive Pygmy.

Its objective is to accomplish that the protagonist

becomes the Dark Lord

and leads the Age of Dark.

Well, Oscar would follow Frampt's instructions

and would go to Anor Londo, just like us.

After overcoming the dangers of the Gods' city,

we would meet with this knight in the

Darkroot Garden, probably next to the door

sealed with the Crest of Artorias.

Oscar would also try to find Artorias' tomb

and would tell us about some thieves in the

garden that attack all the intruders.

He would lend us his help, and together

we would surpass the dangers of this zone, kept

by the guardians of Alvina's covenant, the Forest Hunters.

Glad to see you safe, but be careful! You must be the same as

I.

In search of the grave of Artorias.

This forest is the territory of a fierce band of thieves.

They assault any and all who seek the grave.

What if we were to join forces?

How about that? If we work together,

we may escape the bandits. Does that appeal

to you? Very well.

One can always do with a pair of eyes.

And finally and depending on the route

we had chosen, or which is the same,

depending on what serpent we help (Frampt or Kaathe)

Oscar would

become our enemy, and we would have to

fight him until death.

Presumably this fight would be

in the entrance to the Kiln of the First Flame,

and the victor would choose the fate of the world.

I had a feeling. I shall destroy you,

as fate has commanded me. Foolish pawn

dark-stalker Kaathe, and fiendish Dark Lord.

I have awaited for thee.

Foolish slave of the Gods, and

pawn of Frampt. I will kill you, and become

the true Dark Lord.

As you can see, the alternate story of

Oscar, knight of Astora, would have turned him

into a key character in Dark Souls, at the level of Solaire or

Siegmeyer of Catarina

So a little bit more or less works too.

And lemon...you can take extra

Lemon is a natural bleaching agent, great for skin lightening.

Now let's mix these ingredients.

After mixing, there should be a cream like consistency.

and its ready.

Apply this on your underarms, leave it for 10-15 mins & wash off

You dont have to hold up the hand this whole time. Put the hands down ...

...or just lie down on the bed, so the arms wont hurt

many people benefit for this quickly - like in 3-4 uses.

Others take longer

So I would suggest that in case it takes longer, don't give up. Try for a few days cuz results will show up!

C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge Alert Dawn contains 7 difficult missions for the Allied side.

All you have to do is to download and unpack the campaign in the main directory with Yuri's Revenge 1.001.

Alert Dawn is a fan campaign dating back to the 2002, 2003 or 2004 when ArgCmdr was an admin of YR Argentina.

This mappack contains 7 hard missions for the Allies.

The mission on the Moon by far is one of the most weird fan and standard missions I've played to this date.

Not only you are given three custom buildable units but you can also take control of the X-Wing and the A-Wing from Star Wars.

Beginning of the mission is about contacting the lifeforms who in fact are... Rebels from Star Wars and Wedge Antilles in his X-Wing ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͠°).

To make the mission even more confusing, Yuri has been supplied with the Droid Tanks from the Trade Federation ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͠°).

Anyway, these 3 custom units you can train in this mission, basically only a RAD Tank is useful, that Walker is so bad and useless that it even has been badly implemented.

And don't be shocked that your X-Wings and A-Wings shots sound like sniper bullets, same they have unlimited ammo, it's intended here （╯ ͡° ل͜ ͡°）╯︵ ( ͜。 ͡ʖ ͜。).

The mission is simply about destroying the Yuri's Lab on the Moon, the best way is to break from the bottom and take out Psychic Dominator too.
