First Camping Trip Experience | California life - Duration: 8:13.

So, we finally got to our camping site.

We slept in the sleeping bags in tents.

I haven't gone camping before, so it was very unusual.

It's especially nice wake up with the birds singing.

In the morning it was a little chilly, but it's warmer now.

Some people went to some place nearby and got oysters.

I am about to try oysters for the first time in my life.

Not the cooked ones, but the raw ones that you drink.

I'm curious what it tastes like.

We got up from there.

We walked on this trail

and now I'm standing here cause I'm too scared to go higher.

The trail ends here cause most people probably would turn around at this point.

So, I don't wanna go up.

I got to the top

We stumbled across a spiderweb field.

We are here!

California Coast Ukuleles Demo with Zac Carper | Fender - Duration: 4:13.

[MUSIC]

Hi, I'm Zac Carper.

And today, we're going to be questing on five new ukulele's from Fender.

That's right they're making ukuleles.

Let's check them out.

Let's first check out the two soprano sized ukuleles.

Right now, I'm playing the Seaside and along with the Venice ukulele.

These are soprano bodies, which means they are the smaller.

And when you're a little kid, this actually fits really well with you.

Because it's a lot easier to learn on a soprano ukulele than it is on a bigger

ukulele.

So, this is like the first size I learned on.

The Seaside along with the other ukuleles Fender has has a really cool new feature,

it's called the no-tie bridge and

that just means it's a lot easier to change a string.

Usually, you'd have to wrap a string around this thing and

tie a knot on the bridge side.

But now, you can just tie a knot.

Stick it in there, wire it in.

Boom, you're in already.

So the Seaside ukulele is actually made of real mahogany wood.

It's not that cheap plastic kind of stuff, so they're not toys.

Kind of the real deal.

The Venice ukulele has a Tele headstock.

It's kind of like your classic telecaster guitar.

We're hanging out with the Zuma ukulele right now and

this is a concert body ukulele.

It's in between a tenor and a soprano ukulele and

it's not to big, it's not to small.

It has a little bit more frets, so

you can kind of do a little big more shredy kind of stuff.

[MUSIC]

And it also has a telecaster head stock for that classic telecaster look.

So right now, we're playing the Rincon and this is a tenor body ukulele.

That means it's the biggest one.

It also is made out of Ovangkol wood with a solid top.

Basically, it means it's a bolder sound resonates better and

sounds pretty awesome.

[MUSIC]

Another cool thing about this ukulele is that it has Fishman pick up in it.

You can plug it into an amp PA playing live.

And what's cool about it, it has built-in tuner.

So, you don't even need to bring a tuner and

another really cool thing is has EQ on it.

That means you can kind of get the sound that you want.

If it's too bright, if it's too dark, you can kind of brighten it up or

darken it up which is very rare.

I have never seen that before.

So I dialed in a sound that I really like and

your going to hear it through a Fender acoustic amp.

[MUSIC]

The final ukulele that we are going to talk about is today is the Montecito.

This is a tenor body, which means it's the biggest one.

It's also constructed all from Koa wood, which is wood from Hawaii.

When I was a kid, everybody wanted to have the Koa wood ukuleles.

It's kind of like the nicest ones and the ones that were the best.

It feels really good to be able to have one now.

Koa wood.

It's sick.

It kind of gives it a more resonating mid range and

also a little sprinkle in the high end.

Feels really good.

[MUSIC]

And I really like that it has like, the low G string on that.

It also features a solid top,

which helps the ukulele resonate better which is typically a higher end feature.

There is a lot of attention to detail with this ukulele.

It's got abalone purfling and rosette,

which makes it stand out a little bit extra.

It also has a Fender style telecaster headstock.

It makes for a really nice looking ukulele.

[MUSIC]

Thanks for checking out these five new ukuleles with me.

Stay tuned here for new videos.

san jose earthquake today | earthquake los angeles| earthquake california| earthquake today bay area - Duration: 0:58.

Amagnitude 3.6 earthquake was felt in Los Angeles on Monday night, particularly on the Westside and in the San Fernando Valley.

The epicenter of the earthquake, which struck at 11:20 p.m., was just west of the Sepulveda Pass section of the 405 Freeway in the Santa Monica Mountains.

The U.S. Geological Survey's ShakeMap said light to moderate shaking — categorized as intensity 4 and 5, and depicted on a map as aqua and green — was felt in parts of the Westside and the San Fernando Valley, but probably was not heavy enough to cause any significant damage. Shaking was also felt in Los Feliz, Silver Lake and Glendale.

But not everyone felt the temblor — some in Westwood slept through the earthquake. "We get these size earthquakes fairly frequently," said U.S. Geological Survey seismologist Zachary Reeves. "Any severe damage would be pretty unlikely."

Moderate shaking — or intensity 5 shaking — is defined by the USGS as "felt by nearly everyone; many awakened. Some dishes, windows broken. Unstable objects overturned. Pendulum clocks may stop."

Light shaking, or intensity 4 shaking, is defined as having a strength that can awaken some people and disturb dishes, windows and doors; can cause walls to make a cracking sound; or provide the sensation of a heavy truck striking a building.

individual mandate.

States can reimpose it.

We've come upon an idea that is

uniquely Republican but over

time has proved to work in other

areas like welfare reform.

So I would hate to be the

Democrat that voted against more

money for my state and more

power and keep the status quo.

So if you're a Democrat, let's

say in Missouri.

You're gonna get far more money

under this proposal than

Obamacare and your state would

have more control over the

money.

To reject that money and that

control means you believe that

somebody in Washington cares

more about people in Missouri

than people in Missouri.

You believe it's okay to help

California, New York, Maryland,

Massachusetts more than

Missouri.

That's just what a Democrat

would have to face if they voted

no.

If you're a Republican and you

vote against federalism, you got

to explain to people back home

why Washington knows better and

almost every state except the

four I have described do very

well under this new approach to

taking the money out of

Washington.

So I think the idea is more

powerful.

I think the substance is much

more fair.

And at the end of the day, I

really believe we're gonna get

50 Republican votes.

I make a prediction.

There are going to be a lot of

Democrats struggling with a no

vote.

At least eight of them, eight of

them, their states do far better

than Obamacare in terms of

funding and they have more
