How To Build A T-Shirt Cannon - Duration: 10:02.

oh

Dang

Hey What's up guys welcome back to the shop i'm here again with nate Today we're gonna be showing you how to take common parts

From The hardware store and Build an Air-powered T-Shirt cannon Let's Jump Right in

Nate is our newest and finest Addition to the team i brought Him on Board Because he's Helped me with a lot of cool projects

In the past?

Like The Giant squirt gun that We did That Was 4 Feet Tall 7 Feet wide he also Helped with decorating These T-Shirt cannons and

we did for Cvx live

Shooting T-Shirts Out Into the audience he also worked with Devin Graham on his Mario Kart in real life video where he built red turtle

Shells and Turned them into

Remote-control Racers That Go Up to 60 miles an hour and he might show you how to do that in a future video

Now the materials for This project are Very Simple you Just Run down to your local hardware store and pick Up some Abs fittings we

Have a Two-Foot length of 3-Inch Abs a Two-Foot length of

a 2 foot length of 2 inchAbs

Adapter From three inch to two inch we have 2

Three inch couplings and a three inch to one and a Half inch Adapter if You take a close look at These Adapters you can

See they've got a beveled edge on the inside but if you flip them over That's where the Tubes slide in and make a Tight

fit That's Just gonna make It look a Little more aesthetically Pleasing

Now in Addition to the Abs Fittings we're also gonna Bring in some PvC That's gonna Work the valve and

Give us a Place to pressurize it with bike Pump these are the parts That you're gonna Need the first adapter we're using is this

One and a Half inch to

3/4 inch slip Two Threaded Adapter That's gonna Fit into the Abs and from that all The rest of the parts are Threaded we're using

Six 3/4 inch Threaded Closed Nipples a 3/4 inch coupling to three-quarter inch 90 degree elbows a

3/4 inch tee and end cap and a 3/4 inch ball valve

Purpose of the end cap is to let us pressurize the system and if you want

To use a bike Pump you can Just use schrader valve Which we Picked up at the auto parts store

Or you can use a pneumatic quick connect Adapter so you can Fill It with an air hose

So now that we've got all our Pieces

Collected and Put Together There's two Things We Need to do first of all We Need to cut our Tubes to size and then we're

gonna glue most of these Pieces Together using Black Abs cement and some Green Abs 2 Pvc glue

Quick update Guys we made our cuts and Here's where we're at the 3-Inch Tube is Now 16 inches long

The Smaller Tube Is 2 Inches short and That's going to give a Little Room for our proto cutty plug to bounce Around inside

We also assembled all of The

Pvc parts We've Painted This Part of a Handle Yellow and The rest of its can Be painted all Black Just to make it look

Good

When you're painting PVC you want to make sure that you first do a light Dust coat Over the Whole surface

That Will Let The Next Layers of Paint Bond to the plastic Really well

otherwise It Has a Tendency to beat Up and not be a smooth coating

Now while nate is working on painting The PVC components Black I'm gonna be working on making a Proto Putty plug with this one-inch piece

of scrap That we Cut off the three inch tubing

Essentially we're Just gonna pack This Thing Full of proto putty make sure it's smooth on the top of the bottom and that Should Work

Perfectly for our prototype Lug

We Got The Handle all painted and the proto putty is setting That's going to be curing for there five or ten minutes and while

It is we're going to move on to assembling The body of the cannon?

Now to assemble the body of the cannon we're going to do it in three different parts we're gonna take the larger Tube and stick

It right Down inside of a Coupling first and glue That Together we're gonna take the smaller Tube and the smaller coupling we're gonna make

sure that the Beveled side is Faced down on the table and then we're gonna glue the tube it down inside the center of That

Pushing It All The Way down flat Now we're going to take the smaller coupling we're gonna set It down the table so the beveled

Side Is facing Up we're gonna take our 3-Inch coupling glue it up and we're gonna press it down until everything Goes completely Flat

Against the bottom before we Go any Further Let's take the smaller Tube and Rub It Around in circles on a piece of Sandpaper

Help Smooth Down That Edge and make a Little Bit Better Seal When the proto putty Makes Contact

And of Course This we're Just going Abs to Abs we're Just using the black Abs glue for this

Perfect okay

All these Pieces Went Together Beautifully and Now we've Got the inside Tube the outside team we're going to take the inside one we're going

to place it Facedown

Gonna Take The outside one glue it up and we're going to come straight down over top and press that Down?

So it's nice and. Flush on the bottom as well

Our protocol Puck is completely took This Thing Out of The Abs ring

Dusted It with a Little Bit of Baby powder and then Wiped It all down with a Paper towel to get a Nice clean and

Smooth Now the side that Was sitting down on the countertop is the

Smoothest Edge we want to take that we want to put It down inside of the three-inch Abs tubing and Push it all The Way

Down so It makes Contact with a Two inch Tube inside

That's going to block off The 2 inch Tube inside and allow uS to pressurize the system so now the only Things left to do

Are glue on the back Attach the handle and decorate it

Moment of truth 1 2 3 commit

boom There it is

so here we Have it Guys our t-Shirt cannon is Fully assembled Fully decorated and Pretty Much Ready for pressure testing and This is the

Basic Idea of How it works

You hook Up something Like an Air hose or a bike Pump to this valve here and as long as This valve is Closed it

Will Push the air up inside this chamber Now the proto putty plug will shift Upwards

Block The Tube on the inside and the rest of the air Wall

Shimmy Around The Plug and fill Up This large chamber on the inside when that pressurized up to 60 to 80

Psi it's held in place until you release This valve Because the instant this valve gets Turned open Any air behind the proto putty plug

Rushes Out Forcing The plug to slam down to the bottom and all the remaining air to shove Out the center of The tube this

Happens Very Very quickly and it's Very Very powerful now if you want to go the extra mile with Your decorations you can do something

Like What nate did putting a Crown on this one Make This Crown i laid the pattern over some Aluminum Foil tape and cut it

Out with an exacto knife Which i think is crazy Because Who'd cut that Out with an exacto knife It Does look Pretty Good though

You Gotta Admit so this point our t-Shirt cans are Ready for

pressurizing and you can Get Really Fancy With How you fold Your shirts or You could Just Shove them down the barrel you know pack

Them down tight with a stick and then release The Handle and They're gonna Fly anywhere Between 40 to 60 psi

These Things are gonna Work really Really Well

Quick shout-Out to my friend Been with Nighthawk and light for being The inspiration behind this project with His

Coaxial potato Cannon Of Which i put a Link down in the description

so before we wrap Up let's take These Things outside and show you what they can do

Alright so this is what It looks like set to 20 psi

Woohoo that good 10 to 15 feet and this is What It looks like at 60 oh?

Dang That Was awesome it's on the roof it's on the roof

There you go

Wow we Caught it Nice Positioning

So there you have it Guys That's how to take common parts From The hardware store and Turn them into a fully

Functional Air Powered T-Shirt cannon You can use them to shoot T-Shirts

Nerf Darts or anything Else That You can fit down the barrel hey thanks for Joining Us for this project if We look for the

Next One talk to you then oh?

Dude that Flies 80 feet 80 Feet

Might Still be in your Yard Going Down over Here

See you there no i don't see you back there i like that shirt

And You trust your TV a lot more Than i trust mine

something That's interesting about This Teflon tape is that if you pull it Sideways and

Stretch Crazy Amounts

One interesting side note is if you take One of The little Nerf Darts They fit down the barrel a Little Bit to perfectly

Dang House far

How to build a Lego Robot suit/Mech V2 (Special!) - Duration: 19:44.

hello everyone, I'm JP, and in this video, I'm going to be showing you how to build

this robot suit! So to build this robot suit we're going to start by building the

legs, and then the arms, then the main body, and we'll put everything together.

So to start with the legs we're gonna take three 1X8 Technic pieces and you're

going to take a 1X3 Technic pin and put it right here, and then we can take

our second 1X8 Technic piece and put it here like that, and our last piece,

right here. so this is the main function of the leg and now we'll add some extra

parts to give it-to make it look better and help the robot suit to stand so you

can start by taking this 1X6 flat piece and putting it right here, and this

will stop the leg from bending the wrong way and you'll see how it works in just

a second. we're going to take a 3X3 flat plate

and put it right here like that and then a 2X2 - uh - 2X3 plate, and we're gonna

put it right here so now you can see how this piece stops the leg from bending

the wrong way, and now we're gonna take a 1X2

um, slope brick, and we're going to put it right in the middle of the 3X3 plate...

like this. Now we're gonna take two 1X2 sloped

grille pieces and put them on either side of this 1x2 sloped brick just

like this. Now that's it for the front part, and now we'll turn it around.

And for the back we're gonna make a little rocket booster which is just a 1X1

brick with a stud on the side and a transparent 1X1 piece like that

and it doesn't have to be a cylinder it can be a... um... a brick too. So we're gonna put it

right there... just like that. Now we're gonna take two um 2X3 plates and put

it here and here but before we place this one, we're gonna take a 1X2 brick

and we're gonna put it right there, then we're gonna put this piece here.

So after that we're going to put a 1 by- a 2x2 upside-down slope brick right here,

next we're gonna take a 1X2 the sloped upside down brick and we're gonna play

right here and here we're going to put this another 1X1 transparent brick

here for another booster and there were gonna take this this piece here I'm not

it's not really sure what it's called so we're gonna put it right here and

next we're gonna take this piece and we're gonna play here but before we do

that me up on my piece and that's this one way to upside down slopes brick I'm

gonna put it right here then we're gonna take our 1X3 upside down slope brick

just gonna go right here. So you may wonder what this is for and that's just

to put this um, 3X3 rounded piece right here I think it just adds a little

bit extra to the look, of course you could always customize it and change it

around with your own pieces. So the last thing we're gonna do is we're gonna take

this um axle piece I think it is, I don't know

what it's called though we're gonna put it right here and that is the right leg

right there and here is the left and right leg together so it's exactly the

same you just mirror the, um, the build for each leg and that's the left and

right leg. So now we'll start building the arms, and to start, you're gonna take

a 1X6, um, flat piece and we're gonna put a 1X4

I'm gonna piece with studs on the sides right here

and next we're gonna take a 1 by 1 brick and put it here and a 1 by 1 piece I

won't be one break with this stud on the side right yeah this so that's where

we're gonna put our hand piece right here now if you don't have this piece

you could always um switch it around with some other pieces you have and so

next we're gonna put this piece here and we're gonna take another 1 by 1 flat

piece and put it right here so after that we're gonna take a 1 by 4 flat

piece and put here next we're gonna take a my 1 by 2 piece with this piece this

part here at all I'm not sure what this piece is come here but we're gonna put

it right here and then we're gonna take a 1 by 3 flat tile piece and put it

right there and that's um so this is both of ours as you can see I've just

married the arms really simple and so now we're going to start building the

upper section of the arm so for the upper section of the armor can I start

by taking another 1 by 6 um plant plate and we're gonna take

another 1 by 4 brick with dust on the sides and put it like this then we're

gonna take the 1 by 2 brick with 2 technicals and we're gonna add um this

piece here um yeah we're gonna add this Technic pin right here next we're gonna

take this technical piece I have no idea what this one is called either but it's

gonna go right here and then another one of these king or axel pieces it's gonna

go right in there so next we're gonna take this one by one by three I'm wing

piece and we're gonna put it here like this they're gonna take a one by three

piece and put it right here and this one by two

I'm piece with a grip I think is code you're gonna pretty here

like this now to finish up we're just going to take a 1 by 2 sloped piece and

it's gonna go here and we're gonna take the grill piece I'm going here so that's

almost complete you just have a few more pieces to add on to make it look nicer

I'm just gonna take this 1 by 4 flat piece and put it right there and then

we're gonna take a 1 by 2 sorry 2 by 2 piece and put it here and then a 1 by 2

flat piece and where they I'll put it on that T by 2 piece of this now for the

final piece we're gonna take a 1 by 1 transparent stud and it's gonna go right

here for added effect so now we're gonna connect the arms to each other this

that's um so now we'll build the main body and so we're gonna build in two

parts we're gonna build um this section here where the minifigure will insert

and then we will build this section which is the shoulders and the jetpack

so you can start by taking a 2 by 8 plate and we're gonna put a 1 by 2 brick

with two technic holes in it in like this and then we're gonna take two

Technic pins and put them here and here

next we're gonna take two of these pieces we're gonna put them in like this

just like this so this is where we are gonna attach the legs so after we do

that we're gonna take two 1 by 2 bricks with two studs on the side we're gonna

put them here in here next we're gonna take a 1 by 2 brick and place it right

in and after that we're gonna take a 1 by 2 plate we're gonna put it right here

then we're gonna take two 1 by 2 bricks I'm sorry 1 by 1 bricks with a stud on

the side and it has to be this kind of brick because that way the minifigure

will sit more securely in place so we're gonna put it right here and right here

then we're gonna take another 1 by 2 plate and we're gonna put it right there

so after that we're gonna take a 2 by 2 tile piece flat piece and we're gonna

put it right there then another 1 by 2 tile piece right there or you could just

put a 1 by 3 2 by 3 um flat piece right there so after that

we're gonna take a 2 by 4 plate and we're gonna put it just like this

and next we're gonna take em one by two plates like this and with this part here

we're gonna put it right here we're gonna repeat for the side like this next

we're gonna take two 1 by 2 plates or of a 2 by 2 flat plate

then we're gonna take two I'm 1 by 3 plates but we're not gonna put them yet

I forgot we need this piece a 1 by 4 2 by 4 plate

I'm gonna put it right there then we're gonna take our I'm 1 by 3 flat plates or

by 1 by 2 2 by 3 flat plate and we're gonna put it there and then we're gonna

put this piece here just like that

so first we're gonna take a 2 by 12 plate and we're gonna take two 1 by 4

tile pieces and Micah don't put them here right here 4 steps from the sides

I'm two studs in between and I can leave that for a minute

we're gonna take a 2 by 2 tile and um are there two 1 by 2 piece I'm 1 by 2

plates or that 1 by 4 plate we're gonna put it at the back just like that

next we're gonna take our um 6 by 3 wing piece then put it right there we're

gonna take our 1 by 2 sloped piece and put it here now we'll turn this around

and we'll put our two jet turbines or rocket boosters or whatever you want to

call them we're gonna put them right here

and we're gonna touch this part the other part that we just built we're

gonna put it right here just imagine so now I'll show you how to build the

shoulder so for the back part of our shoulder we're gonna take em one two by

D um plates and we're gonna put a 1 by 2 brick right here next we're gonna take

two upside down slope bricks 1 by 2 sloped bricks or a 2 by 2 sloped brick

we're gonna put them right here after that we're gonna take em this piece here

I'm gonna play here

and after that we're going take two 1 by 2 plates put them together I'm gonna put

them on this black piece here like that then we're gonna take another one by

time to light the plate I'm gonna play here they're gonna take a 1 by 2 tile

we're gonna put it right there now for the last piece we're gonna take a 1 by 2

1 by 2 sloped brick we're gonna put it right here just like this now I just

realized that I not made a mistake when I was showing you how to build this

section when I said that these pieces go here

I was actually wrong they don't stay go here so if you have built this and you

are trying to fit it together that is the reason why it is not working

properly so I apologize for that and so for the other shoulder this is how it is

actually this piece yeah I mean it was another mistake so it's gonna be like

this and now we're just gonna put them on the back of our main body just here

like this just say this so now we'll build a vampire

so the front part of the shoulder is really simple all we're doing is we're

gonna take a 1 by 2 tile and we're gonna put a 1 by 2 brick with one technical

and another one way to break with no technical just a regular brick and we're

gonna take this piece here we're gonna put on top and that's really it so now

we'll put this on

all right build on and as you can see these line up so the reason I meet is

like this was to put two two by four um Titus on both sides to make it strong

because when I first built this when I put in the arms they were too heavy and

these pieces would always detach so I built it like this to make it strong and

it helps it really works so something's missing here and I'll show you how to

build that now well this next part is simple too we're just gonna take a 2 by

2 tile piece and we're gonna put two of these 1 by 2 m tall pieces just like

this next we're gonna take a 1 by 2 P hinge piece and we're gonna put it here

after that we're gonna take the clip the the other piece that attaches to that

we're gonna put it here and we're gonna finish up by taking this piece and we're

gonna put it here so now we're gonna take the pieces that we just built and

we're gonna put our whole wheel part together so the piece is going like this

and now putting the legs yes the nars

now gives us a pilot there it is so I'm really happy with the way it turned out

and it has a lot of motion and really good articulation overall I especially

like the way that this cockpit turned out it's the best one I've built so far

and that's it so hope you guys enjoyed this video give it a like if you think

the video is good enough and share it with anybody who you think might like

the video and also consider subscribing really helps out the channel and I'll

see you in the next video
