FASHION TRENDS Fall / Winter 2018-2019 + how to wear them ǀ Justine Leconte - Duration: 8:39.

Hi everyone, it's Justine.

New season, new fashion trends video!

If you are new to my channel, welcome.

I do this kind of video twice a year, every spring and every fall.

It shows the trends that I see coming for the season, based on everything that has been

shown on all those runways.

It doesn't mean that the looks are wearable just as they are, so I also weigh in with

tips on how to make the trends more real-life compatible, let's say.

I hope that my trend boards will inspire you and that you will find things that you want

to try out that fit you and your style.

Let's go!

Every season there is clearly a revival vibe somewhere.

This season it's clearly the eighties.

When I think of the eighties, I see loud colors, padded shoulders, velvet and shiny fabrics

at night.

The eighties woman had an inverted triangle torso on super-long legs.

Well this time, I feel the revival is a bit more nuanced and darker, gloomier.

You can see wide shoulders, which has been a constant thing at Balenciaga in the last

seasons.

But now, it's also at Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, more and more at Saint Laurent.

It seems like the Balenciaga effect is spreading across all the different fashion cities.

While Saint Laurent stays true to the style of their house, with lurex threads and jaquards,

Balmain is using combined materials to create something that probably wouldn't have been

possible, technically, 30 years ago.

Balenciaga went further: See those hips?

There the garment has been molded onto the body and then covered with fabric.

It's a very new method.

Very interesting.

The shoulder pads could be lighter, to make the whole look a bit more office-wearable.

But in fact, a wide-shoulder silhouette like this can really be executed in different styles:

in outerwear, jackets, tops, dresses...

It's really quite versatile.

Now question to you.

When you see this board, do you think it feels modern and reinvented, or it just looks eighties?

Second trend: shades of brown.

Brown is a neutral.

You can use it just like navy blue or black to really ground a look.

And when you combine different shades of brown with some deep reds and yellows, you can get

a beautiful color palette!

Chanel went muted, with a very earthy brown… but then added some shiny fabric underneath,

just because it fits so well in that eighties vibe.

Chloé picked a collar that could absolutely be worn in the movie "American Hustle"…

Actually, if you're looking for reference information for that trend, the movie American

Hustle is filled with earthy scenes, and great color schemes where the clothing is matching

the wallpaper, to create a harmony.

It's brilliant.

Back to the trend board.

Fendi went all-in and put the double-F logo, brown on brown, everywhere.

Jacquemus added colorful accents in a more subtle manner.

My favorite looks are the Tod's looks, these two.

They stayed in one consistent color palette and made the textures vary.

The way Tod's did it is A-league because it means that you're matching every single piece

in the outfit to that mood, so it's not easy to start with.

But an easier way of doing it is the way Jacquemus did it.

You get one central garment that is brown, and then you add accents of colors with the

accessories and the rest around it.

For instance, you take brown pants in a brown that fits your skin tone, your undertone,

and then add a patterned top and matching accessories which you already own.

So you only get one new piece, and the rest is already in your closet.

Brown is a color that can exist in warm and cool versions, so it can really work for everyone.

The next trend is not layering; it's overlayering.

Layering is something you would naturally do in winter.

(I know I would, because I'm always cold).

But here, this season, it's more than that.

Accent on "more".

It feels like we need to protect ourselves against something.

Is it subconscious?

What happened to trigger this need for more layers?

It is everywhere, on all runways.

I could have found twenty more examples to put on this board.

I think the Balenciaga look has at least 6 layers... if I am counting this right.

But even at houses like Lemaire or Tory Burch, which are usually more…

I'd say more classic… you see these cocoons of protection.

Notice the detail at Maison Margiela...

These sleeves are knitted into a woven jacket.

This is high craftsmanship.

At Vuitton, you see the most wearable option, I think: this turtleneck with a top or a dress

on top of it, which has super thin spaghetti-like straps.

There are plenty of options to make this combination work, and make it more or less lightweight,

like the turtleneck underneath could be light-knit, instead of this thicker thing.

It could be a skin-toned.

flowy, silky blouse, closed here with a ribbon, or it could be a transparent shirt, since

the top covers you already anyways.

The next trend would be sophisticated knitwear.

I personally love knitwear, and I think it's a pity when the runways show only cable-knit

and jersey, because there are so many more ways to knit a yarn into something creative.

So this season, I am super happy with what I am seeing.

All the examples on this board are special developments, designed by the houses and then

knitted exactly as they want.

There's nothing standard here.

Etro is traditionally an expert in this kind of fabric, and this look is so them, but still

creative and new.

The Sacai look is new for me.

You can tell that there is some ethnic inspiration, but the result seems modern and unique – which

means that it's good creative work.

It's getting inspiration somewhere, and then turning it into something new, which is your

own interpretation of it.

Dior and Prada are completely wearable.

I do enjoy the way Prada took a classic knit pattern and added a super-contemporary logo

to it.

Prada always tends to mix genres and work on the perception that we have of what good

taste and bad taste are.

The look by Christopher Kane is probably embellished by hand, and it also feels very special.

A key accessory this season would be a mid-calf boot.

Originally I called this trend the cowboy trend, but then I changed my mind, and you

will see why.

We see some boots that have that center split, like cowboy boots, in materials with top-stitched

patterns on top, like on cowboy boots.

Isabel Marant is the queen of that.

She consistently shows designs like that on the feet of the models in her collections.

So this winter will clearly be hers.

But then the boots are white, or they are in materials that are not meant for the outdoors.

Some are even slouchy and draped around the leg, really.

So they are too delicate to be called cowboy boots.

My favorite one is the Fendi one, which you see also from the side.

The heel is fabulous.

Statement jewelry, now more than ever.

Massive jewelry, especially when it's colorful, or when it's using gemstones, can't help

but attract the eye.

It is also great to set bold accents in a more regular, standard outfit, even if you

wouldn't describe your style as bold.

Here are some options.

Imagine these smaller and you'll get what the fantasy jewelry brands will offer this

year.

Jewelry is a product category where whatever comes out in fine jewelry and on runways gets

copied by cheaper brands, in more wearable ways.

I also feel like gemstones are getting used more and more, much more than in previous

years, in all sorts of colors.

So that will be fun.

There are also two trends from last fall which are still very, very present this year.

Red as a dominant color is still broadly used.

I wonder if the movie "The Handmaid's Tale", with the red cloak, had an impact

on the designers' minds.

It did leave a mark in my mind for sure.

Originally it was a book, and a great one, in case you haven't read it.

And then plaid patterns, a classical motif for winter, keep being reinvented in original

ways.

We're playing with the size, the colors, and the textures.

If you have clothes that fit in to those categories, keep them, wear them again.

WISH fashion haul - Duration: 7:54.

Hi everyone, today´s video

is a fashion haul from WISH

WISH haul videos are very popular

And till now I haven´t done any WISH fashion haul

I was contacted by a WISH seller

if I wanted to try some of the clothes he sells and I said ´´Why not?´´

I have here 4 items I was send

I just told them my size and they picked the clothes for me

I have chosen only the colours of the items

I got them this week

And I wanted to shoot this video as fast as posible for you

I will show you how the items look like on the pictures

And then I will show you how they look on me

And I will also review them

I will start with the first item and it´s this atypical shirt

It isn´t so atypical but the back is cut open

all those clothes are from one brand Blooming Jelly

so I think that this seller is seling mailny this brand

and all items I got are surprisingly hight quality

This shirt is S size, little bit oversized

and it looks like this

I have chosen this dark green colour cos´ I don´t have and shirt this colour

material is very soft and acording the tag

65% cotton and 35% polyester

It is realy very soft and the back is cut open

I will show you how it looks on me

The sizing is good, it oversized but it doesn´t look to big on me

material is good, very soft and non scratchy

It isn´t any extra shirt, but its nice shirt good for wearing at home

I will say it´s good and great material

second item is a dress which I like the most from all this 4 items

They are beautiful and they look like this

It´s a lace top with a dark blue flower dress

which is atypicaly cut

But I like the most the back part of the dress is very pretty designed

Only problem is, that you need that stick on bra cos´ else it won´t look good

And the dress looks like this

This is the front part

You have such a long shoulder strap that you need to cross

And next this long skirt

My hight is 162 cm and this is how they look on me

so if you are petite you can also wear this dress

This dress ands at my ankles

They aren´t extra long so great for petite girls

I have S size but they are also great if you wear XS

cos´ the skirt has a elastick on it and it´s stretchy

the sizing of this brand corresponds with our European sizing

You have also a belt but I like it better without it

And the dress it beautiful, they look gorgeous

I realy didn´t expect such great item

I love them and I´m so sad that the summer is over and I can´t wear them

They look like this and I picked up this sunflower pattern

But they have also another floral patterns

they have buttons in front

I´m sorry I didn´t iron them cos´ our iron isn´t working right now

They are little bit wrinkled so I hope you´ll forgive me

dress look very pretty, nic material

very pretty pattern on the dress

It´s very elastic in the back

and you have to button it up in the front

shoulder straps are adjustable

that´s great

It´s S size and it really corresponds the EU size S

It´s little bit big in the chast area

But it isn´t very visible

very pretty dres I like them

but summer is over

And the last 4th item is bkiny

I´m not going to show you how I look in them. Sorry

they are very pretty and great material

You have to put them on over your head

You can detach this bow if you don´t like it

there is padding which can be removed

from here

and the bottom part looks like this

very pretty stripes pattern bikiny

I can also recommend them

and if you are going on vacation in the winter you can still buy them

they have them in many different patterns 10 or 11 don´t remember

and I´m really surprised that this brand Blooming Jelly is so high quality

It isn´t poor quality like from other Chinesse shops

That shirt is great material

And I really recommend this dress

they are beautiful

and even the summer is over and you won´t wear them

But you can wear them next summer

and maybe this dress will be sold out next summer

so if you like them don´t hesitate

And this dress is the item I will recommend from this whole package

favorite piece and I love them

And if there will be one hot day it September I will definitely wear them

I've been quite obsessed with effortless updos lately

Rather than using thousands of bobby pins,

I'd rather use a simple hair clip

These are French hair clips made of Acetate

I got mine online, and they are affordable

As it's very flexible and soft,

it won't harm your hair

I got this simple wire hair pin

It really holds the hair very well!

I'll do a little tutorial on how I do my updo

as each sample is packaged with separate plastic bag

I've heard about the danger of plastic bags to marine life

It's neither too sheer nor too thick

I like how soft it is

It was only about $20 from season off sale!

Whether it's a cheap fashion brand,

or a department brand,

I enjoy rummaging through season off section

Uniqlo premium linen shirt in olive green (though they say it's brown)

It's a beautiful autumnal color

I went up a size than my usual Uniqlo size

This specific color was on sale online!

It was almost a steal

I've always loved Uniqlo linen shirts

I had one that I literally have worn out,

wearing consistently over the years

that I had to throw away

When I shop online like this,

I wouldn't really risk it

I'd stick to the cheaper brands I know,

and I'd focus on season off deals

Otherwise, I prefer offline purchase

as I can try out things

Here's some of my fall makeups

A'pieu juicy pang blusher,

I've been trying out each and every shade

for my go-to autumn makeup looks

I love both its texture and color

What I like the most about the range is that

it gives you a lot of different color variations,

including nudes and lavenders,

shades that are hard to find especially in liquid blushes

I've also tried out other blushes from A'pieu

and the juicy pang is the best!

Not to mention it's one of the best

affordable liquid blushes out there

New autumn shade in Innisfree vivid cotton ink range

You should try them out!

While it glides onto the lips very softly,

the finish is semi-matte, which I love

All 5 new shades are so beautiful and autumnal...

It looks much better on the lips than on my hand

I should try one in my next makeup video!

My skin is the worst right now,

so I'm trying hard to get calm it ;(

My first purchase from AliExpress!

It's a gel nail lamp, and I'm super happy with it

It has hand sensor and timer,

which makes it so much easier to use

Above all, it cures gel nails so fast and it's HUGE!

It used to take forever to cure my gel nails,

and now I can do it so much faster!

It's the first pedicure look I created with the new lamp

My cooking favorite at the moment,

La Tourangelle Organic Olive Oil, it's affordable at iHerb

You can literally smell its freshness

It's probably because

it's processed on-site the same day of its harvest

Also, when I cook pasta at home,

Laneige vita capsule sleeping mask

I use it occasionally when my skin is extra dull

It has the cutest packaging ever!

I usually go for oil based cleanser for my first cleanse,

but sometimes I'd just sit in front of TV,

removing my makeup with a micellar water

I've just started using it, but I already really like it

It feels very gentle on the skin and

the dispenser is so clever!
