Reuters | Defector Says Thousands Of Islamic State Fighters Left Raqqa In Secret Deal

A high-level defector from Kurdish-led forces that captured the Syrian city of Raqqa from

Islamic State has recanted his account of the city's fall, saying thousands of IS

fighters – many more than first reported – left under a secret, U.S.-approved deal

Talal Silo, a former commander in the Syrian Democratic Forces, said the SDF arranged to

bus all remaining Islamic State militants out of Raqqa even though it said at the time

it was battling diehard foreign jihadists in the city.

U.S. officials described Silo's comments as "false and contrived" but a security

official in Turkey, where Silo defected three weeks ago, gave a similar account of Islamic

State's defeat in its Syrian stronghold.

Turkey has been at odds with Washington over U.S. backing for the Kurdish forces who led

the fight for Raqqa.

Silo was the SDF spokesman and one of the officials who told the media in mid-October

– when the deal was reached – that fewer than 300 fighters left Raqqa with their families

while others would fight on.

However, he told Reuters in an interview that the number of fighters who were allowed to

go was far higher and the account of a last-ditch battle was a fiction designed to keep journalists

away while the evacuation took place.

He said a U.S. official in the international coalition against Islamic State, whom he did

not identify, approved the deal at a meeting with an SDF commander.

At the time there were conflicting accounts of whether or not foreign Islamic State fighters

had been allowed to leave Raqqa.

The BBC later reported that one of the drivers in the exodus described a convoy of up to

7 km (4 miles) long made up of 50 trucks, 13 buses and 100 Islamic State vehicles, packed

with fighters and ammunition.

The Turkish government has expressed concern that some fighters who left Raqqa could have

been smuggled across the border into Turkey and could try to launch attacks there or in

the West.

"Agreement was reached for the terrorists to leave, about 4,000 people, them and their

families," Silo said, adding that all but about 500 were fighters.

He said they headed east to Islamic State-controlled areas around Deir al-Zor, where the Syrian

army and forces supporting President Bashar al-Assad were gaining ground.

For three days the SDF banned people from going to Raqqa, saying fighting was in progress

to deal with militants who had not given themselves up.

"It was all theater," Silo said.

"The announcement was cover for those who left for Deir al-Zor", he said, adding that

the agreement was endorsed by the United States which wanted a swift end to the Raqqa battle

so the SDF could move on towards Deir al-Zor.

Net Neutrality: An Open Letter to the United States Government | Megan Idalia - Duration: 9:41.

Dear United States Government, WHAT?!

Hi, my name is Megan Idalia, and I'd like to speak on behalf of pretty much everyone in my generation who will

be affected the most if net neutrality is repealed

I mean, I have pretty good experience in what the internet has to offer, I watch Netflix

Use Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and so on

I have grown up using it for school and so much more

Now, I'm not saying I'm addicted to it. In fact, most of my concern comes through people other than myself if this truly passes

But, before we address that, I think a little background on the topic is necessary

So, what is net neutrality?

Essentially, it's the idea that the internet provider should just

Provide the internet, no strings attached.

We don't have to worry about some websites being slower than others, corporate interests interfering with the flow of information

We basically don't have to worry about our internet providers putting a filter over internet connection.

So, what's all the fuss, about this recently?

Well, Thursday, December 14th, yesterday,

The Federal Communications Commission voted 3 to 2 on overturning the rules

enforcing the idea of net neutrality on internet providers.

But, there's no need to worry yet, as this repeal could still easily be overturned

by a court challenging it or even by Congress, not to mention

It wouldn't go into effect for several months, as the Office of Management and Budget

has to approve such a repeal before being official. Despite the time it will take for such a program to go into effect

fear is spreading through Americans like a wildfire.

Which is why I am sitting here today, trying to inform as many people as I can about what my research shows,

using the internet freely, while i'm still assured that I can.

There are many arguments on both sides of the debate about net neutrality, but one of the largest

against, even the argument offered by Ajit Pai, the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, is that, and I quote

"The rollback of the rules would eventually help consumers because broadband providers could offer people a wider variety of service options"

This scares many Americans because there's absolutely nothing protecting them

from the providers doing what they want, when they want, and how they want it.

There's a fear of providers slowing down websites and charging more to unlock reasonable speeds

or even to access the website at all, as well as being at the mercy of the largest corporations and

concern for those who lack the ability to afford such costly potential add-ons.

Without net neutrality, providers can completely block websites from use,

pushing their own websites to be used for cheaper than other options, in turn getting them even more revenue from advertisement.

Some broadband providers, such as Comcast, seem to have been more vocal about what they intend to do, even after the repeal of net neutrality.

They insisted that they wouldn't change anything,

yet, just after the announcement from the Federal Communication Commission about intending on repealing neutrality,

Comcast removed it's three-year old statement

"Comcast doesn't prioritize internet traffic or create paid fast lanes"

Even with a "vow to behave", many are skeptical, due to the fact that Comcast had spent years

fighting the regulations that prevented it from charging internet companies with

a higher amount of traffic more, in order to speed up the content being loaded. And they're not the only ones

who have had conflict with the rules in place.

That list includes T-mobile and AT&T as well.

Providers could easily make more money charging people more if net neutrality gets officially repealed,

which will rather hurt the consumers, so why does Pai state that it will help the consumers?

The idea is that the providers will come up with deals to make some things cheaper for consumers,

Such as a company charging Netflix

a fee to have fast speeds and turning around and giving a cheaper price to consumers. This leads to a

huge struggle for any company trying to make a start for themselves, as they wouldn't be able to offer such cheap prices,

leading to a crashing of the centuries of innovation and creation that we have had in our country.

Sharing your ideas, startup businesses, art,

anything really, would become so much harder since not everyone

may have the ability to view a platform such as Facebook or Instagram. Or,

maybe the slow speed

would deteriorate them from being on it long enough to run across any of those things. Further, a

website with independent artists may be stuck to slow

connection for everyone, due to not being able to afford to pay every broadband provider,

leaving artists unable to gain any exposure despite all of the time

that they put into their hard work, and the skills that they've taken so much time to develop.

Not to mention, Netflix does not intend on letting the repeal of net neutrality slide by easily.

Rather, they support those startup companies that are exactly what the American dream is all about.

Speaking of the American dream, net neutrality is everywhere

The only known countries without net neutrality laws are Russia,

China, Myanmar and Lithuania

Now, I don't know about you, but those aren't exactly the countries i want to see America become like as i grow up.

This change could easily affect people like you and I in our daily lives.

For example, I like to get my news updates from my phone and from the internet rather than sitting and watching the news. With net

neutrality, I could be forced to get my news from a particular site, leading to not only potential censorship from the entire truth,

political agendas can be pushed while others are silenced, and in an argument between two people

who are stuck thinking that they're right there's no real progress made.

I want more than anything for people to be able to have a full story

To be able to have a discussion instead of just an argument.

Getting a story from several varying sources, rather than one,

guarantees that you can find the truth under any exaggeration.

And that's just one part of life that could be entirely changed. School could be changed, people have online classes,

assignments that require the use of research, which is greatly helped by the use of internet, people communicate over the internet.

Communication worldwide has changed the globe since invention. To potentially take it away, slow it down

could take away and slow down innovation, sales,

business could lose profits, and so much more. While it is obvious that the broadcast providers

Would compete in providing the best, it's unlikely that people would pay for many of the websites they enjoy accessing,

because if you thought hardly anybody was going to be on facebook, would you pay extra to be able to use it?

I like to think that not much would change if such an appeal were to become official, but i know that it easily could

from businesses trying to have an edge on their competition to them wanting to make profits,

there will be change. Now, don't expect to have to suddenly pay $9.99

a month for Snapchat or anything. That would be a terrible business move.

What's scary, is that the broadband providers can make miniscule

barely noticeable tweaks to your internet speed on certain sites over time.

Nothing drastic will happen, but give it a couple years. They can easily take an inch here an inch there and have the entire

yardstick in a couple of years.

But, it's not too late to make a difference. As i said,

Congress and courts

still have the ability to challenge such a repeal. You can contact your representatives and senators

and i'm sure, if everyone bugs them enough,

even those who originally agreed with the repeal may

find it better to vote against it, as

they were elected by the people, and it is their job to represent the people. Not just their

own beliefs. Do not forget that each and every one of us can make a difference in this government

by contacting those in office, and if we work as a team we only become a stronger force to be reckoned with.

If you can think of some people in your life who could use more of an understanding about net neutrality,

feel free to share this video to help inform more people about

what's going on right now. I mean, if you don't even feel like those who are representing you in our government understand your concerns,

Nothing's stopping you from sharing this with them either.

If you'd like another video on more about net neutrality or something else currently going on with the U.S.,

let me know by leaving a comment or hitting that like button.

But, I hope this helped you feel more informed and realize that you're not at anybody's mercy yet

Thank you for watching

WHY U.S MAY USE C.H.A.M.P. TO FRY NORTH KOREA'S MISSILES ? - Duration: 7:38.

United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said that the US is ready to begin exploratory

talks with North Korea "without preconditions", but only after a "period of quiet" without

new nuclear or missile tests.

The secretary of state's remarks appeared to mark a shift in state department policy,

which had previously required Pyongyang to show it was "serious" about giving up

its nuclear arsenal before contacts could start.

And the language was a long way from repeated comments by Donald Trump that such contacts

are a "waste of time".

North Korea has not yet shown any intent on backing down.

Earlier this week it emerged that China is building a network of refugee camps along

its 880-mile (1,416km) border with North Korea, in preparation for a potential exodus that

could be unleashed by conflict or the collapse of Kim Jong-un's regime.

This development indicates the increasing probability of clash.

One of the options that the United States is looking at to counter North Korea's nuclear-tipped

ballistic missiles is an experimental weapon called CHAMP.

CHAMP stands for Counter-Electronics High-Powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project.

It uses bursts of microwave energy — an electromagnetic pulse — to disable electronic systems.

In this video, Defense Updates analyzes WHY U.S MAY USE CHAMP TO FRY NORTH KOREA'S MISSILES ?

The idea would be to launch a cruise missile such as an AGM-86C — which is carried by

the Boeing B-52 — that is armed with a CHAMP warhead to disable Pyongyang's nuclear forces.

CHAMP is like a super powerful microwave ovens that can generate a concentrated beam of microwave

energy.

"These high-powered microwave signals are very effective at disrupting and possibly

disabling electronic circuits," Mary Lou Robinson, who heads development of the weapons

at the Air Force Research Laboratory, told NBC News.

Missile, bombs etc all have complex electronic circuits, so such an attack would actually

disable them.

The most important aspect is that it is not lethal for humans and will avoid human casualties.

CHAMP is not yet ready for operational deployment and it would take a little bit of time.

But officials believe the weapon could be readied for a contingency operation within

only a few days in an emergency.

And indeed, the U.S Air Force has tested the weapon against simulated facilities that produce

weapons of mass destruction.

The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is an American long-range, subsonic, jet-powered strategic

bomber.

The B-52 was designed and built by Boeing, which has continued to provide support and

upgrades.

It has been operated by the United States Air Force (USAF) since the 1950s.

Superior performance at high subsonic speeds and relatively low operating costs have kept

the B-52 in service despite the advent of more advanced aircrafts, including the variable-geometry

B-1 Lancer, and the stealth B-2 Spirit.

B 52 are powered by Pratt & Whitney turbojet engines.

The powerful engines also enable B 52 to carry up to 70,000 pounds (32,000 kg) of weapons

and have a typical combat range of more than 8,800 miles (14,080 km) without aerial refueling.

This makes the B 52 an ideal launch platform for a AGM-86C missile armed with CHAMP.

The AGM-86 is a subsonic air-launched cruise missile built by Boeing.

This missile was developed to increase the effectiveness and survivability of the Boeing

B-52 bomber as the missile can be fired from standoff ranges.

In combination, the missile dilutes an enemy's forces and complicates air defense of its

territory.

All variants of the AGM-86 missile are powered by a Williams F107 turbofan jet engine that

propels it at sustained subsonic speeds and can be launched from aircraft at both high

and low altitudes.

The missile deploys its folded wings, tail surfaces and engine inlet after launch.

Sophisticated guidance makes the missile very accurate.

It has a range of 1,100 to 2,400 km depending on variant.

This enables the B 52 to launch it far off from the target.

A single B 52 can launch unto 20 of these missiles.

Hence, an enemy force could have to counterattack more than one missile at a time, making defense

against them costly and complicated.

The enemy's defenses are further hampered by the missiles' small size and low-altitude

flight capability, which makes them difficult to detect on radar.

North Korea has no air defense system which is capable of taking out this missile.

Though seemingly a silver bullet , with CHAMP there are certain disadvantages.

1. The weapons would have to fly exceedingly close to the North Korean missiles before detonating.

2. There is also the very real possibility that North Korean nuclear facilities are hardened

against an EMP just as American,Russian and Chinese systems are.

3. If North Korea can detect the missile, it's likely they will try shoot it down or respond

as if it were a kinetic attack.

North Korea won't know if/when it detects the missiles whether they are carrying CHAMP

as opposed to a conventional or nuclear warhead.North Korea will see cruise missiles fly into the

country and hear explosions.

By the time they figure out they were less-lethal HPM (High Power Microwave ) payloads, they

will have already retaliated.

So, the situation will still escalate.

Keeping in view the limitations, CHAMP could be used by US in scenario where it targets

a specific missile site.

But this could result in all out war just like it would with traditional options.

In case of all out preemptive strike by U.S, the CHAMP will certainly give way to tactical

nukes or conventional weapons , as it will be essential to eliminate all of North Korea's

nuclear weapons in one sweep and CHAMP won't be suitable for that role.

BOMBSHELL Evidence How CIA Made Obama A US Citizen – DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!!

Whistleblower Dennis Montgomery may have discovered the CIA and/or other government entities illegally

hacked into the Hawaii Department of Health records in an effort to search for birth records

on Barack Obama.

Investigators report government breaches began on November 14, 2008.

This was just after Obama's first presidential victory.

Those breaches continued through January 12, 2011 – some three months before the White

House issued a computerized version of what Obama claimed was the authentic long-form

version of his birth certificate from 1961.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media scoffed and laughed at anyone that dared to question the

authenticity of said document.

A database created in 2013 by Montgomery contained large sections of an electronic surveillance

database was provided to Michael Zullo, formerly the commander and chief investigator of the

Cold Case Posse (CCP), a special investigative group created in 2006 in the office of Joseph

M. Arpaio, formerly the sheriff in Maricopa County, an Arizona State Certified Law Enforcement

Agency, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

It shows this database was created by the NSA as part of the NSA's illegal and highly

unconstitutional surveillance of American citizens in violation of their 4th amendment

rights under the label of Project Dragnet.

Dennis Montgomery is former U.S. intelligence contractor and he walked away with more than

600 million classified documents on no less than 47 hard drives from both the NSA and

the CIA.

His breach is considered even larger than that of Edward Snowden.

The evidence provided by Montgomery detailed warrantless collection of phone, financial

and personal data and the unmasking of identities in spy data about millions of Americans.

He has accused the Bureau of massive and flagrant amendment violations of the American people.

Among those 47 hard drives included information supplied to Zullo regarding Obama's fraudulent

birth certificate.Montgomery also filed suit against the FBI, NSA, DOJ, and several other

government agencies in June 2017 for their illegal conducted surveillance of millions

of American citizens for years, as reported by AFF in June 2017.

Circa reported Montgomery divulged to the FBI "a pattern and practice of conducting

illegal, unconstitutional surveillance against millions of Americans, including prominent

Americans such as the chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, other justices, 156 judges,

prominent businessmen, and others such as Donald J. Trump, as well as Plaintiffs themselves."

As such Montgomery is represented by prominent Conservative attorney Larry Klayman of FreedomWorks

in U.S. District Court.

The case is being heard by the exact same federal judge who has already ruled that the

NSA's collection of data on Americans is a Fourth Amendment violation making for a

legal proceeding that will affect all Americans for the future.

With Montgomery's information in tow, Arpaio and Zullo held a press conference on December

15, 2016, in which the contents of a multiple year forensic investigation into the validity

of Obama's birth certificate was released.

The conclusion reached was that the Long-Form Birth Certificate released by Obama in April

2011 was indeed a forgery and the evidence they supplied strongly suggests CIA involvement

in the forgery with the following breaches of known Hawaiian IP addresses accessed by

known CIA IP addresses – According to InfoWars.com –

The IP addresses, both from the Hawaii government offices breached and from the CIA proxy IP

addresses used in the breaches.

"Montgomery also traced the IP data paths of the breached servers and discovered on

a number of occasions information was sent from the breached Hawaii computers, only to

be routed to a server located in Jakarta, Indonesia," Zullo said.

From Indonesia, the data was sent back through the server in Jakarta, routed back to government

servers in the United States.

Montgomery claims the server used in Jakarta was operated by the CIA at the time the breaches

were executed."

Montgomery brought forward to Arpaio and Zullo the information presented here regarding the

CIA breaches of Hawaii government computers that Montgomery alleges was collected while

he was employed as a subcontractor for the NSA, working on PROJECT: SPEARIT and various

surveillance projects.

Court documents do verify Montgomery was contracted by the NSA, in part to develop computer breaching

software that has been utilized in government mass surveillance operations targeting American

citizens without legal justification.

While Montgomery's credibility has been called into question, Zullo maintains that

the amount of information provided by Montgomery related to Operation Dragnet was extraordinarily

voluminous and that Montgomery had shared information with investigators in 2013 that

is only now being revealed by media outlets.

Zullo claims to have received information from top officials with the Hawaii Department

of Health claiming prior to the release of the long Obama's Long-Form Birth Certificate

by the White House the Hawaii Department of Health was in the process of forging a birth

certificate for Obama.

Arpaio's investigators also revealed that this same source revealed the attending physician

named on the forged document was known to be deceased and was believed to have destroyed

all birth records after leaving practice making him an ideal candidate for forgers.

Zullo also claimed to have received information from two different hospital administrators

independent of one another regarding meetings held in 2008 as Obama was preparing for his

initial presidential bid where all hospitals on the island worked to identify which hospital

Obama was born in.

Both administrators attested to the fact no hospital in Hawaii could locate any records

to prove Ann Dunham Obama had been a patient, or that Barack Hussein Obama was born there

Zullo states –

"Queens Hospital was the hospital originally named by the Obama family as the birth hospital,

but when it developed that Queens did not have records of Obama's birth, the family

shifted to story to claim Obama was born at Kapiolani Hospital.

Queens Hospital quickly reported publicly that Obama was not born in their hospital.

The admission of Queens Hospital that no birth record existed presented a serious problem

for the already belabored Obama birth narrative.

Kapiolani refused to comment neither confirming nor denying Kapiolani Hospital was Obama's

birth hospital.

To date, Kapiolani has not produced a single shred of evidence that any original birth

records exist, nor has Kapiolani Hospital ever produced any supporting documentation

or released any information that proves Stanley Ann Dunham was a patient at Kapiolani in August

1961 who gave birth to a son, Barack Obama, supposedly born on Aug. 4, 1961."

InfoWars.com also reveals that Zullo went on to point out that a written statement of

former Hawaii Director of Public Health Dr. Chiyome Fukino issued in October 2008 cast

further doubt that an original 1961 LFBC for Obama ever existed in the Hawaii Department

of Health archives.

On Oct. 31, 2008, Fukino issued a statement that read in part:

"Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawaii, along with the Registrar

of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital

records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health

has Sen. Obama's original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies

and procedures.

No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital

record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of

the State of Hawaii."

Zullo was not convinced, stating –

"That statement would indicate, if true, that Fukino simply walked in to the file vault

at the Hawaii Department of Health, went to the shelf containing the bound book volume

holding some 500 certificates including Obama's, located it inside that bound book, touched

it, and returned the bound volume back to its proper place, back on the shelf along

with 500 others.

The CIA breach would also enable the undetectable insertion of fraudulent digital information

of a fictitious birth event to be surreptitiously implanted into the Hawaii Department of Health

vital records computers database.Once the fictitious record has been created that would

allow an unsuspecting clerk to simply locate the fraudulent record in the computer database

and print a computer-generated Short-Form Birth Certificate (SFBC) without ever verifying

the existence of the original Long Form Certificate (LFBC) in the file room vault.

Hawaii did in fact originally produce a Short-Form Birth Certificate in 2008.

In an attempt to quell the growing controversy and to satisfy the questions surrounding the

Obama birth narrative, a Short-Form was released in 2008 during Obama's presidential campaign.

However, that was a digital record and not an original Long Form Birth Certificate.

This did not satisfy the growing number of skeptics.

In various discussions with Montgomery, he suggested 'three-letter agencies' had

the ability to not only hack into a computer network unnoticed and to download information

out of that computer network undetected, but also had the ability to upload information

into a computer, again undetected.

That upload capability would allow the implantation of completely fictitious or altered information

at will.

Once implanted, this would grant an unsuspecting clerk the ability to create and issue a Short-Form

Birth Certificate that was retrieved from Hawaii Department of Health legitimate computers

in accordance with Hawaii Department of Health procedures and customary practices."

Montgomery turned this information over to the FBI along with 600 million records illegally

obtained by the federal government for an immunity deal 2 years ago.Zullo went on to

explain –

"The Obama birth certificate information was included in the information Montgomery

turned over to the FBI.

The FBI has done nothing with Montgomery's information for more than two years.

That's when the White House released to the public via the internet a computer-generated

PDF File of a purported Long-Form Birth Certificate claiming to be a copy of Obama's birth records

located in the Hawaii Department of Health vault on April 27, 2011.

What the White House released was not a physical hard copy document.

It was not a copy of any verified authentic document, it was absolutely nothing.

It was a computer-generated PDF file containing a copy of something that had its metadata

erased from the electronic file, making it impossible to determine origin and authenticity

of the file.

This PDF file cannot be relied on as proof a birth event in any legal setting," Zullo

insisted.

"It is not paper, it was created in cyberspace and resides in a computer.

On April 27, 2011, Obama showed the nation and the world absolutely nothing."

Arpaio and Zullo held a press conference showing Obama's birth certificate where a forensic

expert explained it contained "nine points of forgery," establishing that Obama's

Long-Form computer-generated birth certificate released by the White House on April 27, 2011,

had been copied from Johanna Ah'Nee's birth certificate.

What If the United States Was a Company? - Duration: 8:07.

If you've seen our shows on the mammoth corporations whose long arms extend into just

about all corners of the planet, you'll understand the sheer size of these businesses

and why we sometimes compare them to countries in themselves.

You'll also know that many of these companies come from the USA.

This includes tech giants such as Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and Google, but also the businesses

lining the shelves of our kitchens and bathrooms such as PepsiCo and Johnson and Johnson.

Between the burger behemoth McDonalds and retail giant Walmart, they employ about 4

million people worldwide.

That's roughly the population of Moldova or just less than half the population of Israel

working at just two American companies.

Well, today we are going to compare this successful capitalist powerhouse as one entity, in this

episode of the Infographics Show; If the United States was a company?

Don't forget to subscribe and click the bell button so

that you can be part of our Notification Squad.

First we should have a look at who is working in this company.

It would consist of around 325,000,000 employees, 81 percent of whom would be city slickers.

There would be slightly more female workers than male workers, and over the age of 85,

there would be double the amount of women than men.

About one quarter of our workforce would be under the age of 21, while the median age

of our worker would be 37.8.

Diversity is a huge issue these days, so we should have a look at the ethnicity of our

workforce.

We wouldn't be very diverse at all actually, with around 76.9 percent of employees identifying

as white.

Many of them would tell you they have English, German, Irish, Scottish, Scotch-Irish and

Welsh ancestors, along with many other European nations.

Hispanic and Latino Americans would make up 17.8 percent of our workforce, and 13.3 percent

of our employees would identity as black or African American.

6 percent of people would say they are Asian American, about 3.2 percent Middle Eastern

American, and less than one percent would identify as Native American.

If America was a company, about 4.3 percent of adults that could work would not be working

right now, if we look at present unemployment rates.

This doesn't really make any sense in view of this show, so let's just say these folks

are presently on sabbatical.

Our company would be the richest in the world, with a total earnings of 18.57 trillion dollars,

if we take net profits as the same as the GDP.

Per person, that means $57,466.79.

There would, however, be a huge inequality gap in our company.

According to one Berkeley economist featured in The Atlantic in 2016, just one percent

of our company would earn as much as 20 percent as the rest of our employees.

In fact, some of our employees would be having a pretty hard time subsisting in the lower

ranks of our complex company.

The Census Bureau in 2017 did however report some good news and that was that the number

of us living below the poverty line has decreased lately to just 12.7 percent or just over 40

million people.

The employees hit the hardest would be black and Hispanic, while white and Asian employees

would, on average, be doing the best.

The Census Bureau explains that US poverty does not have to mean living in a tin shack

and barbequing rats, but more not having sufficient money to live a stable and healthy life.

It put that at a yearly income of $24,257 for a family of four.

The worst off of us American employees on average would live in Alabama, where 19.2

percent of employees would live below the poverty line.

But how are we making money?

First of all, to take care of everyone in our company and keep the infrastructure intact;

to defend us from other large companies, we have to save money for our yearly budget.

America the company would spend about 3.9 trillion dollars on that budget.

Most of this we would get from Income tax, payroll tax, and a bit more from excise tax

and corporate tax.

This should insure most of us against hardships and make sure our country stays in one piece.

We will actually overspend, so will have to borrow a bit of cash.

To accrue this massive amount of tax money we need industry.

So what kind of things make cash for company America?

Well, one good thing for us is that we are making a strong currency.

The dollar is the world's reserve currency, because we have the most stable company on

the planet.

Just having this powerful currency is a bonus in itself to our company.

As one economist summed it up: "In short, U.S. firms get easier access to capital because

of the dollar's reserve status."

Sticking to making money out of working with money, the banks are a big industry in our

company.

CNN, one of our largest media organizations, reported in 2017 that banking profits were

the highest in a long time at $171.3 billion, mainly because our company CEO, Donald Trump,

relaxed regulations.

Banks make money by lending money and charging our company employees interest and also lots

of fees.

NPR reports that that's only half the profits, with investments making the rest of the money

for banks.

Finance and insurance in total makes up 8 percent of our GDP, at $1.159 trillion.

But banking and finance is only the 4th largest industry in our company economy.

Our biggest business is real estate, which includes renting and leasing.

This makes up 13 percent of our GDP, or $2.2 trillion.

Next is professional and business services, which covers many of the businesses we deal

with day to day.

This is about 12 percent of our GDP or $2.098 trillion.

In third place comes state and local government profits.

This makes up 9.1 percent of our GDP or $1.5 trillion.

We know the next is finance and banking, and the following five in order are: Health care

and social assistance; Manufacturing of durable goods; Wholesale trade; Retail trade; Manufacturing

of nondurable goods and in 10th place: Information.

This includes publishing on all the platforms you can think of.

Even if these are the biggest industries, that doesn't mean they are the most profitable.

If you've seen our shows on businesses that break the records in bringing in the bucks,

you'll know that tech, or IT, is leading the way.

In fact, it's said Apple is well on its way to becoming the first company with a value

of one trillion dollars.

You won't be surprised then to know that our IT services sector is the second most

profitable business we have, but in first place it is the health and pharmaceutical

industry.

The companies with the highest net margins were generic pharmaceutical companies in first

place, investment managing in second, tobacco in third and major pharmaceutical companies

fourth.

It seems that health is where we really know how to make the big money.

But where do we all work?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, things have certainly changed over the last

hundred years, with not many of us now working in the mining industry as we used to do back

in the day.

It's too complex to break down into actual jobs as there are literally thousands upon

thousands of different jobs.

But as of 2016 the biggest sectors in America the company are as follows: Education and

services – in the first spot by a long shot.

Second is the wholesale and retail trade; third is professional business services, fourth

is manufacturing, fifth is leisure and hospitality; sixth is finance services; seventh is construction,

eighth is just classed as 'other services'; ninth as public admin, and IT is in tenth

place.

So, who is our favorite country company to do business with?

That would be the European Union, which we might call a conglomeration of entities as

it contains lots of companies.

The latest US government stats tell us that in total, trade between the EU and US was

1.1 trillion dollars.

That was $276 billion in exports and $416 billion in imports.

Our next biggest trading partner is China, although we import $462 billion from China

and only export about a quarter of that amount.

We have almost equal import and export amounts with the next two countries on our trading

friends' list, and they are Canada and Mexico.

Do we have much competition?

Well, China has just been put ahead of us in terms of the world's largest economy,

although some experts disagree.

Even so, most predict it will soon happen.

Will China's growing computer hardware industry ever catch to up ours?

Will India's IT services make bigger ripples in the pond?

Can countries in Asia and Europe mount a challenge to the USA's huge pharmaceutical industry?

More importantly, when are us average workers going to get a pay-rise?!

Our Southern Forests: A Place for Us All - Duration: 4:14.

I've always had a connection and a love for the land.

Walking through the forest helps me to relax and just get a different perspective on life.

There's no prettier place to be than out in the woods.

The forest to me also is a source of income, it's a source of opportunity.

The forest means a lot of things to me.

It's peaceful, it's rewarding, it's sustainable.

[Narrator] What does the forest mean to you?

And what do you know about its role where you live or across the world?

What and who keeps our forest thriving and sustainable?

These questions are important as you consider that forests provide the world and our region

with multiple economic, environmental, social, and health benefits.

Forests cover more than 30% of both the world's and the United States' land mass.

The Southern US accounts for one third of our nation's forest land and is home to

more than 200 types of trees, from our reach's pine varieties to our coastal plains cypress.

Southern forests contribute over one million jobs and 200 billion dollars to our nation's economy each year.

The work we do enhances the economy of the forest industry.

We are a large part of our state's jobs and revenue.

[Narrator] Known as the world's wood basket, the Southern United States is a global leader

in the production of pulp and paper products.

Even though it contains only 2% of the world's forest land.

A seedling from this nursery can become someone's furniture or a pencil, paper, their home.

[Narrator] Over 5000 products used the world over are created from southern timber,

ranging from musical instruments to paper towels.

Even when you live in the urban areas, everything that's used in everyday life mostly originated from the forest.

[Narrator] Our forests also contribute to the economy and to our health and well-being

through the ecological benefits of cleaning the air and water, as well as creating areas

for wildlife habitat and recreational opportunities.

Trees are really important for many reasons.

I don't know that there would be a park in the area that would get any use during the day

if it didn't have trees.

[Narrator] Urban and rural forests alike require thoughtful caretaking by both private landowners

and forestry professionals.

You know we can really look at managing the forest holistically.

We've gone to school for this.

We've studied the science of forestry but we also are nature lovers, and so we understand

the values of the forest.

[Narrator] How can we maintain the values of our southern forests?

We can do so by recruiting and training the next generation of foresters and natural resource professionals.

In the South we are facing a shortage of natural resource professionals.

There are seven jobs per one graduate.

I would encourage any young person to study forestry because the opportunities are endless.

In the forest service there's room for everyone from foresters to IT professionals like myself.

It's the greatest job I never knew existed.

It is something unique, it is something special.

It is something that I feel honored that I get to do and see.

China and Russia URGE US and North Korea to END provocation in plea to stop World War 3 - Duration: 2:41.

China and Russia URGE US and North Korea to END provocation in plea to stop World War

3.

CHINA and Russia have both called on Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un to end the cycle of

provocation after North Korea said they shall not hide if World War 3 breaks out.

The North Korean Foreign Ministry wrote in a statement this week that they do not

wish for a war but shall not hide from it as tensions continue to heighten on

the Korean Peninsula.

The hermit kingdoms Foreign Ministry also wrote "The remaining question now is: when

will the war break out?" after a US B-1B bomber joined US and South Korean military exercises,

that North Korea has said is pushing the peninsula to the brink of nuclear war.

The US bomber flew from Guam and joined US F-22 and F-35 stealth fighters which were

seen as a reaction to North Koreas latest new intercontinental ballistic missile test.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said in a statement on Wednesday: "We hope

all relevant parties can maintain calm and restraint and take steps to alleviate tensions

and not provoke each other.

China and Russia have a common stance on the Korean peninsula issue.

Both countries have come up with initiatives to resolve the issue peacefully, putting forward

clear and understandable projects, which may help find a way out of the current situation.

"The outbreak of war is not in any side's interest.

The ones that will suffer the most are ordinary people."This was echoed by Russia, after the

Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, told US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that the large-scale

military exercises and aggressive nature of Trump's statements were adding to the rise

in tensions.

He said: I am not trying to excuse this (North Korean) launch.

"We condemned it and demanded that North Korea fully complied with the resolution of the

UN Security Council.

But the United States acted as if they wanted to provoke them for a new risky venture.

And so they did.

"Of course, now it will get more difficult to create conditions for renewing the dialogue.Mr

Lavrov also said that he has passed a message from Rex Tillerson to Pyongyang, which requested

the two counties sit down and try to end the crisis.

He said: "We know that North Korea wants above all to talk to the United States about guarantees

for its security.

"We are ready to support that, we are ready to take part in facilitating such negotiations.US

spokeswomen Heather Nauert said Washington will not talk unless North Korea is "willing

to denuclearise."

She said: "It is something that Russia says it agrees with; it is something China has

said it agrees with, and many other nations around the world as well."

She went on to say that North Korea had not shown "any interest in sitting down and having

any kind of serious conversations when they continue to fire off ballistic missiles."

North Korea running scared Japan joining US nuclear 'war chariot' strikes fear in Kim - Duration: 2:31.

North Korea running scared?

Japan joining US nuclear war chariot strikes fear in Kim.

NORTH Koreas leader appears to be panicked by Japans plans to climb aboard the United

States war chariot as it prepares for war breaking out with the communist regime.

KCNA - the media mouthpiece for the North Korean regime - has issued a ranting as well

as false statement accusing Japan of crafty military actions and getting on the

war chariot driven by the US and to realise the dream of reinvasion of Korea.

The statement added that Japan and Britain had agreed to form a semi-ally relationship

in order to strengthen cooperation for mutual defence.

It said that Japan and Britain had recently held "2+2" meetings of foreign ministers and

defence ministers where they discussed the issue of "agreement on status of dispatched

units".

They also identified the issue of stepping up the research into a medium-range missile

to be mounted on fighters which the two countries had carried out as a common project for three

years and thus produce a trial missile which will be miniaturised with a long-range strike

capability. However a MoD spokesman flatly denied any knowledge of such an agreement

when contacted by Express.co.uk.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman also flatly denied any agreement had been made although added

that joint talks between the two countries foreign and defence ministers were due to

take place shortly - before Christmas - however stated that as the talks had not

yet taken place nothing had been agreed.

KCNA also went on to accuse the Japanese reactionaries of various actions, including

attempting to inveigle other countries into joining in with military action against

North Korea, making territorial claims and using the pretext of aid as a way of

conducting military operations.

The communique concluded with a chilling prophesy: Japan should face up to the situation and

should not run amuck.

"If it opts for invasion, in cooperation with overseas aggression forces including the US,

it will only face self-destruction.

The statement followed after Japan said that it would arms its fighter jets with the latest

air-to-surface missiles in response to the growing threat of North Korea, as tensions

across the region continue to escalate.

Defence secretary Itsunori Onodera revealed today the money would be spent on equipping

the Japanese air force with high-tech missiles from the United States.

The weapons have a range of 560 miles, which would allow pilots to target the whole of

North Korea while flying safely over the Sea of Japan.

The move by Japan is not insignificant as the countrys constitution, imposed by the

US after World War 2, which states the country can only use its forces for self defence.

Mr Onodera said that Japan would continue to uphold its defence-only policy.

He said: We will introduce them as standoff missiles that allow us to deal with our opponents

from outside the range of threats.

Japans Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told lawmakers North Koreas continued missile tests were

an imminent threat to the safety of Japan, and attempting to negotiate with the

hermit state was pointless.

North Korea issues US threat: 'WHOLE WORLD will plunge into NUCLEAR WAR' - Duration: 3:19.

North Korea issues US threat: 'WHOLE WORLD will plunge into NUCLEAR WAR'

's foreign ministry has issued a furious statement this weekend, saying American aggression "cannot be tolerated".   The fiery statement, which was issued in a Pyongyang-based propaganda newspaper yesterday, said was "terrified" of North Korea's nuclear progress.

And it said any attempt to strangle North Korea with sanctions or a blockade would receive a furious response.

The statement said: "The gang of Trump, being terrified by our accomplishment of the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force, is driving the situation on the Korean peninsula more and more close to the brink of war, acting recklessly without any sense of reason.

"A naval blockade is an act of wanton violation of the sovereignty and dignity of an independent state and an act of war of aggression which cannot be tolerated.

"The gang of Trump is taking extremely dangerous and big step towards the nuclear war by recklessly seeking the naval blockade against our country, neglecting the strategic prestige of our country that has achieved the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force." The ministry said Mr Trump's hard-line tactics had been attempted unsuccessfully in the past. .

It said: "The naval blockade the gang of Trump is trying to pursue is something that was already tried and ended in vain during the collective sanctions campaign against the DPRK undertaken by the Bush administration under the signboard of 'Proliferation Security Initiative' in the early 2000s.

"Should the US and its followers try to enforce the naval blockade against our country, we will see it as an act of war and respond with merciless self-defensive counter-measures as we have warned repeatedly." The statement ended with a warning the "whole world" could erupt into "nuclear war". .

Pyongyang urged the West to preserve peace and not risk all-out conflict.

It said: "The international society should increase its vigilance on the reckless moves of the US trying to ignite a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula, and if the UNSC does not wish to see the Korean peninsula and the whole world plunging into a nuclear war, it should act properly in accordance with its original mission which is to preserve peace and security of the world.
