Former Chief Asst. U.S. Attorney Explains Why Mueller�s �Ugly� Probe Is �On

Track To Clear Trump�

Unlike the mainstream media, The Gateway Pundit has long believed the chief objective of Special

Counsel Robert Mueller�s Russia investigation is to nullify the results of the 2016 presidential

election.

In fact, while both liberals and conservatives declared the �honorable,� �highly respected,�

Mueller was the correct man to lead the Russia probe, this website expressed deep reservations

about the special counsel�s character and history as a prosecutor. As former Chief Asst.

U.S. Attorney Andrew C. McCarthy explains, Mueller�s investigation might be ugly, but

it�s �on track to clear Trump.�

McCarthy writes in the New York Post:

We must remain mindful, though, that Mueller has so far issued three sets of charges: the

one against Flynn, another false-statements charge against low-level Trump campaign adviser

George Papadopoulos, and the indictment of Paul Manafort and Richard Gates. None of these

allege any wrongdoing by President Trump or any collusion between his campaign and the

Kremlin.

Of course, it�s entirely possible Mueller is exploring whether there is a basis for

the president�s impeachment. That is a political remedy, not a legal one. The protections of

criminal due process would not apply, so it would theoretically be easier to prove �high

crimes and misdemeanors� than ordinary criminal offenses. But it�s a very long shot.

The higher likelihood is that the Mueller investigation, despite all the reasonable

suspicions about its partisanship, will end up exonerating the president. At this point,

it�s anything but clear that investigators who have political points of view have let

them infect Mueller�s investigation. The Strzok controversy and other indicia of bias

should be aggressively investigated by Congress. But President Trump � and the rest of us

� would be well advised to wait for the facts before drawing conclusions.

For those watching Mueller�s every move, McCarthy is a must-read. Mueller had Washington

spooked a day before Halloween after indicting former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort,

along with his business partner Rick Gates, on 12 charges, ranging from tax fraud to conspiracy

to launder money. While the mainstream media screamed bloody murder, a clear-eyed McCarthy

expertly broke down why Mueller�s charges against Manafort appeared �shaky and overcharged.�

�The offense of failing to register as a foreign agent (Count Ten) may be a slam-dunk,

but it is a violation that the Justice Department rarely prosecutes criminally. There is often

ambiguity about whether the person�s actions trigger the registration requirement, so the

Justice Department�s practice is to encourage people to register, not indict them for failing

to do so,� McCarthy wrote.

McCarthy concludes his op-ed asserting Mueller�s overzealousness paves the way for President

Trump to deny the Special Counsel�s investigation has �actionable collusion case.�

This could be a �boon,� for President Trump, argued the former prosecutor and National

Review fellow.

If the political and media elite believe the American people will sit by as President Trump

is removed from office, especially as the alleged crimes of Hillary Clinton, James Comey

and Andrew McCabe go unpunished, the ensuing shock will pale in comparison to what they

experienced on November 8, 2016.

The U.S. is set to further ramp up the pressure on North Korea at the United Nations, where

the North is also said to be making a rare appearance.

The State Department says Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will seek to rally members of

the UN Security Council on Friday to turn the screw on Pyongyang.

Tillerson is slated to take part in a Security Council Ministerial Briefing regarding North

Korea's nuclear weapons program.

State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert says Tillerson will reaffirm the Trump administration's

push for "maximum pressure" on Pyongyang so that it gives up its weapons programs.

And during the discussions,... he is also expected to confront North Korea's envoy.

North Korea said it will send its UN ambassador to the event, through an email from Jo Jong

Chol,... the spokesperson at the North Korean mission.

During his rare appearance at the council meeting, Ambassador Ja Song Nam is expected

to deliver a speech, possibly on how North Korea is a full-fledged nuclear power and

how it will not give up its nuclear program.

He met UN official Jeffrey Feltman on Thursday, to follow up on the UN official's visit to

Pyongyang last weekend.

North Korea is not a member of the UN Security Council,... but it made a request on Thursday

to attend the event as a participating nation.

The move is seen as a highly exceptional case, raising speculation that its envoy may be

planning to make strong and determined remarks on the meeting's agenda.

Ahead of the event, North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency lashed out at the

U.S. for convening the meeting.

The report said "The meeting is none other than a desperate measure plotted by the U.S.

being terrified by the North's state nuclear force".

In a separate broadcast, the North slammed the U.S. over the possible use of a naval

blockade... warning such a move would drive the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the

brink of war.

Impact of U.S. rate hike decision on Korean economy - Duration: 2:39.

The U.S. Federal Reserve has raised its key interest rate again... bringing it level with

the benchmark rate here in South Korea.

The Fed has also upgraded its economic growth forecasts for the United States for this year

and the next... to two-and-a-half percent.

Kim Ji-yeon helps us gauge the potential impact of the Fed's move.

Authorities at the Bank of Korea say there were no immediate signs of capital flight

from the country... since the move by the U.S. Federal Reserve has been widely expected.

The BOK also pointed to Korea's strong fundamentals, with the economy forecast to grow 3-percent

this year on booming exports.

But it says further tapering of U.S. assets could impact Korea's interest rates in the

long-term.

(standup) "To counter such risks the BOK has already

raised its benchmark interest rate by a quarter-percent to one-point-five-percent last month,... its

first rate hike in nearly seven years.

Although the move has been expected,... it has raised concerns that the rate hike would

increase the burden of the one-point-three-trillion U.S. dollar household debt... since it would

severely affect homeowners' ability to repay their debts and raise the risk of people defaulting

on their housing loans."

The BOK played down the possibility of the worsening household debt issue, saying the

government is laying out countermeasures.

This refers to a series of measures earlier this year to curb housing speculation... by

making it harder for people with multiple houses to borrow money to buy real estate.

(Korean) "We believe the burden on households of repaying

extra interest due to a rate hike is limited in general when taking into account the debt

service ratio."

While the BOK dismissed the possibility that a rate gap is the sole reason for capital

flight, it says such a decision will be made only after taking into account various factors,

including the recovery pace of the local economy, inflation prices, financial stability and

risks... shaking off market expectations that it'll raise rates in February or in July next

year... when the new BOK Governor is announced.

(Korean) "Since it raised the main interest rate in

November, it won't be easy for the BOK to raise rates again during the first half of

next year.

It'll only do that when it's confident the local economy can withstand the effects of

a rate hike."

BOK Governor Lee Ju-yeol said he does not interpret the move by the Fed as a sign of

preferring aggressive fiscal measures despite the Fed's decision to raise its growth trajectory

for the U.S. economy.

It has previously projected the Fed would raise rates up to three times next year.

Japanese Minister of Defense Itsunori Onodera announced on 8 December that Tokyo plans to

equip Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) fighter aircraft with long-range cruise missiles

amid heightened tensions in the region over North Korea's development and testing of

nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.

Onodera said in a press conference that Japan would acquire the missiles under the budget

for fiscal year 2018 (FY 2018) to enhance the country's defense capabilities in view

of an "increasingly severe security environment", adding that Tokyo will still rely on the United

States to strike enemy bases.

The sources said the government is especially interested in Lockheed Martin Corp.'s JASSM-ER

North Korea has hurled multiple threats against Japan.

In September, a North Korean state agency threatened to use nuclear weapons to "sink"

Japan and reduce the United States to "ashes and darkness" for supporting a U.N. Security

Council resolution and sanctions over its latest nuclear test.

Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, which handles the North's external ties and propaganda,

said in a statement carried by the North's official KCNA news agency.

"The four islands of the archipelago should be sunken into the sea by the nuclear bomb

of Juche.

Japan is no longer needed to exist near us".

In October, North Korea has issued a chilling warning to Japan to stop putting pressure

on Kim Jong-Un to relinquish his nuclear program.

"Japan's such rackets inciting the tension of the Korean peninsula is a suicidal deed

that will bring nuclear clouds to the Japanese archipelago," the statement read.

"No one knows when the touch-and-go situation will lead to a nuclear war, but if so, the

Japanese archipelago will be engulfed in flames in a moment.

This is too self-evident."

Japan is a pacifist country - at least according to its constitution.

Article 9, introduced under the occupying forces after the Second World War, seems unequivocal:

"The Japanese people forever renounce war and the threat or use of force."

But new laws introduced by conservative Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will allow a broader interpretation

of what the constitution does, and does not, permit - so-called " proactive pacifism".

The move may stir controversy in Japan, which upholds an exclusively defense-oriented policy

under the war-renouncing Constitution, since the missiles would be capable of striking

enemy bases.

Opponents say the laws are "war bills", and tens of thousands of people have taken

to the streets to protest against the legislation, but some commentators argue Japan needs it

keeping in view the North Korean as well as Chinese threats.

Japanese PM, Abe has reiterated his determination to use the crushing (parliamentary) majority

he now enjoys to remove from Japan's constitution provisions, which restrict his ability to

deploy or use military force.

Short , Intermediate as well Long Range missile of North Korea which includes Nodong-1, Hwasong-12,

Hwasong-14 & latest Hwasong-15 are transported on a transporter-erector vehicle (TEL), but

launched from a detachable platform on a concrete pad.

Hence, the missiles are dependent on pre assigned sites for launch and are vulnerable against

preemptive strikes.

North Korea currently doesn't have these missile in hardened silos.

So, even a modest strike could disable its launch.

North Korean threats have meant it is in constant surveillance by U.S, South Korea and Japan.

The assets include satellites, land based radar network and reconnaissance aircrafts.

North Korean missile program is still not mature, impending launches need elaborate

organizational work and are detected as the missile is made ready for it.

JASSM-ER (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range) is a variant of AGM-158 JASSM.

The JASSM-ER is a low observable standoff air-launched cruise missile developed in the

United States.

It is a large, stealthy long-range weapon of the 2,000 pounds (910 kg) class.

The missile has an official range of about 1000 km or 620 miles.

It is powered by a turbofan engine, which enables it to travel at Mach 0.8–0.9 or

about 1000 km/hr.

The JASSM-ER has 70% hardware commonality and 95% software commonality with the original

AGM-158 JASSM.

The first flight test of the JASSM-ER occurred on May 18, 2006 when a missile was launched

from a U.S. Air Force B-1 bomber at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

The JASSM-ER entered service with the USAF in April 2014.

The features of the missile are as follows:

1. JASSM-ER utilizes a low-observable airframe designed to defeat enemy air defenses.

The missile's low-profile airframe is particularly important given the proliferation of sophisticated air defenses.

2, The missile is guided by INS/GPS unit developed for the JDAM and JSOW bombs, and uses IR seeker

for terminal guidance.

It also incorporates three-dimensional targeting models of the intended targets, of which eight

can be stored in each missile.

The missile is accurate within 3 m CEP

3. The JASSM-ER weapon can be employed day/night in adverse weather conditions

4. It can be fitted with different 1,000-pound warheads according to the mission profile.

Most of the North's weapons of mass destruction production units and storage facilities are

located in the mountainous areas near the Russian and Chinese borders.

Due to distance, Japan need a standoff missile with precision strike capabilities.

With JASSM-ER , Japan has way to take out these positions without ever needing to enter

the North Korean airspace.

North Korea has very little chance of even detecting this missile with its old radar

tech and will find it impossible to intercept.

President Donald Trump knew all along about the "deep state" colluding to oust him.

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and Loretta Lynch headed a group of deep state

rats who stayed working within the FBI and DOJ to try to overthrow him.

Well, that's coming to a rapid end as Trump has once again outsmarted them all with a

"secret sting operation."

You're going to love this.

Rep. Jim Jordan has revealed knowledge that could only come from a "secret sting operation"

that President Donald Trump helped "keep on track."

Most Americans are aware of the infamous Robert Mueller investigation, but not of another

investigation going on by the DOJ's Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

Before we get to that, we must make it clear that Trump, as president, can ask his DOJ

to either stop or start an investigation, and now, we know without a doubt that the

president is gunning hard and fast for the deep state rats, using the DOJ Inspector General

as head of a sting operation, and yes, those rats include Obama, Hillary, Lynch, Comey,

and all of their co-conspirators.

The Conservative Treehouse explains the sting operation, reporting, "Remember, the OIG

investigation [Trump's sting operation] is specifically looking at actions taken,

or actions not taken, by DOJ and FBI officials that reflect specific evidence of politicization

by the leadership within each agency (James Comey, FBI and Loretta Lynch, DOJ), and/or

their subordinates writ large."

In other words, this Trump sting operation, also called the OIG investigation, is looking

to see whether the DOJ and the FBI, under Obama, played personal politics, such as not

wanting Trump as president, and used that to take action against him.

We now know they did, and now, we have the actual evidence.All along, Trump was outmaneuvering

these deep state rats as they launched their bogus investigation with special counsel Robert

Mueller.

Many of you may have heard about FBI investigator Peter Strzok who was working for Mueller and

caught texting anti-Trump sentiments to his mistress, FBI attorney Lisa Page.

One of those texts was so incriminating that the president knew it was time to let the

American people know exactly what is going on with his sting operation.

The texts, information about FBI agent Bruce Ohr meeting with Fusion GPS who wrote the

fake Russian Dossier, his wife Nellie Ohr who worked at Fusion GPS and assigned to create

the Russian Dossier, all that evidence came from Trump's sting operation, from this

OIG investigation that the president has kept on the down-low.

It's coming out now for one reason.

They have all the evidence they need to lock these rats up.

It's really happening.

Keep in mind, those agents and attorneys reported to Comey and Lynch, who reported to Obama.

They are all in hot water, so hot that they are panicking and many of them are going into

hiding.

The mainstream media refuses to report any of this at all.

Rep. Jim Jordan broke his silence on Trump's sting operation when he was interviewed by

Lou Dobbs.

He disclosed what the next step would be.

Yesterday, after the Rod Rosenstein questioning, Jordan stated that "the next move is to

put each of the named people in front of Congress for questioning."

Get them under oath, get them on-the-record, and get them committed to one story.

Jordan and Lou Dobb's interview is quite enlightening as the Ohio representative ends

with admitting they will all go to prison.This all implicates Comey and Lynch as the rats'

department heads, plotting to take out Trump using the fake Russian Dossier.

It implicates Hillary who helped pay for it.

Jordan goes on the record, saying he knows they used the dossier to get the FISA warrants

to wiretap Trump's campaign.

The text that reveals the plot to oust then-GOP nominee for president Donald Trump, if he

should win the election, was written in August 2016 right after Trump got the nomination.

FBI lead investigator Peter Strzok was texting his mistress, FBI attorney Lisa Page.

In the text dated August 15, he said, "I want to believe the path you threw out for

consideration in Andy's office [referring to Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe] — that

there's no way [Trump] gets elected — but I'm afraid we can't take that risk.

It's like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40."Strzok

is saying they can't take that risk that Trump gets elected, and they have a "path"

or a "plan" to make sure that, if he is elected, his days are numbered.

That "path" was the fake Russian Dossier to charge the president with collusion or

obstruction of justice and get him impeached.

Like many Americans, I was worried that President Trump was being set-up by Mueller with no

one getting to the truth.

Now, we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing he was on top of those rats all along.

I know many of you have lost faith in the system and are wary that these rats won't

go to prison.

I was too, but not anymore.

I think Trump has them all dead to rights and the evidence all points to the top, to

King Obama himself.

Keep the faith with Trump — he has not let us down yet, and he hates to lose.

Heated discussions between U.S. and N. Korea expected at UN meeting - Duration: 2:06.

The UN Security Council is meeting to discuss North Korea's nuclear provocations.

Pyongyang made the rare decision to send its ambassador to the event...

most likely to protest the gathering's agenda... with a defiant speech claiming the regime

is a rightful nuclear power.

Park Hee-jun provides a glimpse of how the session could unfold.

The U.S. is set to further ramp up the pressure on North Korea at the United Nations, where

the North is also said to be making a rare appearance.

The State Department says Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will seek to rally members of

the UN Security Council on Friday to turn the screw on Pyongyang.

Tillerson is slated to take part in a Security Council Ministerial Briefing regarding North

Korea's nuclear weapons program.

State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert says Tillerson will reaffirm the Trump administration's

push for "maximum pressure" on Pyongyang so that it gives up its weapons programs.

And during the discussions,... he is also expected to confront North Korea's envoy.

North Korea said it will send its UN ambassador to the event, through an email from Jo Jong

Chol,... the spokesperson at the North Korean mission.

During his rare appearance at the council meeting, Ambassador Ja Song Nam is expected

to deliver a speech, possibly on how North Korea is a full-fledged nuclear power and

how it will not give up its nuclear program.

He met UN official Jeffrey Feltman on Thursday, to follow up on the UN official's visit to

Pyongyang last weekend.

North Korea is not a member of the UN Security Council,... but it made a request on Thursday

to attend the event as a participating nation.

The move is seen as a highly exceptional case, raising speculation that its envoy may be

planning to make strong and determined remarks on the meeting's agenda.

Ahead of the event, North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency lashed out at the

U.S. for convening the meeting.

The report said "The meeting is none other than a desperate measure plotted by the U.S.

being terrified by the North's state nuclear force".

In a separate broadcast, the North slammed the U.S. over the possible use of a naval

blockade... warning such a move would drive the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the

brink of war.
