Classic Chinese Egg Drop Soup Recipe ~ 10 Minute Egg Drop Soup - Duration: 2:47.

There is nothing more comforting than a bowl of good egg drop soup. It seems to

warm the toes and the soul. I'm Tess and today I'm making a classic Chinese egg

drop soup. Come join me!

Chinese egg drop soup is so

easy to make and you can have it ready in five to ten minutes. I'm using four

cups of chicken broth. This is homemade but if you're using a boxed or canned

chicken broth or stock just make sure that you choose a low-sodium.

I have my heat on medium high and I'm bringing this up to a boil. I'm also

adding in some light soy sauce and this adds some flavor and a little saltiness.

Also adding in a little black pepper. You can also use white pepper for a little

more heat. Giving it a good stir.

Once up to a boil I'm adding in a slurry of cornstarch and water and this will

slightly thicken the broth. I'm using 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and I don't

like my egg drop soup real thick. Some like the soup a thicker consistency so

you can adjust the cornstarch slurry to your liking.

Turning my heat down to a simmer. Now is the time to add the star of the show....

the egg! This is a beaten jumbo egg but you can add too small or medium eggs.

I'm stirring the broth and at the same time slowly pouring in my egg. You will see

the small strands start to form... it's like magic!

Finally, in goes some chopped white and greens of garden onions and a dash of

sesame oil. Give it a good stir and it's ready to eat.

I think the sesame oil gives it a classic bright flavor.

Initially, when bringing the broth up to a boil you could add in a slice or two a

fresh ginger. That is the great part of making this classic Chinese egg drop

soup at home, you can make it the way you like it. Also, if you have a chance please

PECAN PIE - My mom's easy classic recipe! - Duration: 2:48.

hey everyone it's Dorothy from crazy for crust dot com welcome to my kitchen

today I'm going to show you how to make my mom's classic pecan pie recipe now it

wouldn't be Thanksgiving without pecan pie it also wouldn't be my daughter's

birthday or pretty much any time of year without pecan pie in my house we love it

that much so I'm going to show you how to make this easy classic that everyone

loves do you have those recipes that you just come back to again and again and

again that's this easy classic pecan pie recipe it's my mom's recipe that she got

when she was at home back way back when she was in high school and we've been

eating it every single year for Thanksgiving and Christmas ever since

you start with 3 large eggs to the eggs you're going to add dark corn syrup add

your melted butter granulated sugar salt now if I have one complaint about pecan

pie it's that the filling sometimes can be a little bit like jelly ish and

that's something that's a teeny tiny bit off-putting for me so what I did was I

just changed her recipe a teeny tiny bit by adding a little bit of cornstarch

into my mixture that cornstarch will make it a little bit thicker and firm it

up a little bit so won't be as jelly like in the center just whisk that one

bowl one whisk whisk it all together until it's a nice thick sugary mixture

prepare your pie crust as directed you can use my all butter pie crust recipe

or use a refrigerated one you're going to use about two cups of pecans a tip

about pecans and pecan pie if the pecans aren't fully coated in the

mixture they're gonna burn on top of the pie so I like to do is what I learned

from my mom I just pour the pecans in the bottom of the prepared pie crust and

then I pour the filling over the top and like magic the pecans will just float to

the top they'll be all coated in that mixture and they won't burn

add a PI shield or some foil strips to protect the crust from over brownie in a

vacant at 425 degrees for 10 minutes then lower the temperature to 350 until

the pie is puffed and golden see how easy that was a classic pecan pie only

takes minutes to make and look how gorgeous it's perfect it's perfect for

Thanksgiving it's perfect for a birthday my daughter asks for this pie every year

she absolutely loves it we all absolutely love it it's a classic family
