When we have health problem we visit doctors and sometime they advise to take X-Ray , Scan etc.,
X Ray/ Scan is taken by passing some rays in our body and they get results.
Some people it is not good to take these often and some doubt that by taking scan or X-ray frequently make cause some other disease.

There is a difference between X-Ray and CT Scan and Rays are passed on particular body part and result is given.
The same procedure is followed for CT scan but it can take upto 100 photos from different angles.
That is why the rays emitted in CT scan is more.
Eventhough we don't take X-Ray /Scan we are living amidst of various rays from the sun rays to the mobile phone.
We are safe upto the level which we stay away from rays.
A research was conducted how much rays can be used by a man in his lifespan.
It is found that a man can use 50 MSV rays in a month.
Out of 50 MSV we get 3 MSV from sun rays and there is no harm due to the balance 45 MSV rays.

Some doctors frequently prescribe CT scan and ask them whether you can take MRI Scan or Ultrasound Scan.
Magnet waves are used in MRI Scan and light waves are used in Ultrasound scan and so it is a good alternative.
As children are affected more by these rays it is better to avoid taking Scan or X-Ray from the first 6 months from the birth.
When you take CT Scan for a particular problem get the results given written in CD so that it will be useful when you visit other doctors.
We can reduce the expenses and exposure to the rays.
The amount should be mentioned in the X-Ray taken.
Some people tell if you take X-Ray frequently you will get cancer but there is no evidence but it is better to avoid taking X-Ray without doctor's advice.
