This is an easy one pot budget meal recipe. I'm Tess and I'm gonna show you
how I make my one pot ground turkey goulash. Stay tuned! (intro music)
I'm starting by adding just a little oil to my medium heat pan. I'm adding in a pound of ground
turkey and yes you can use ground beef for this recipe. Just cooking, stirring
and chopping until the turkey burger is no longer pink. And just a reminder that
you'll be able to find this recipe and the list of ingredients in the show more
section below,
Next, I'm adding in some diced onions, bell peppers and lots of mushrooms.
We love mushrooms. Add the vegetables that you like. I've also made this goulash
with carrots, celery and zucchini. Just cooking and stirring for two to three
minutes.
Now I'm adding in the spices and in goes lots of minced garlic, salt, black pepper,
Italian seasonings, basil, oregano, a little pinch of red pepper flakes for
some background heat, and finally some Worcestershire sauce cooking and stirring
for one to two minutes to get all those flavors combined.
Now I'm adding in the chicken broth and you can use water or any other broth of
your choice. Adding in some diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and a little sugar
to balance out the acidity of the tomatoes. Turning my heat up to high to
bring up to a boil and then reducing to a simmer and cooking for 15 minutes.
Oops! I almost forgot to add the paprika.
After 15 minutes of simmering I'm adding in my uncooked macaroni. The macaroni
will cook and absorb some of that flavorful sauce. Stirring in the macaroni...
bringing back up to a simmer covering and cooking for another 10 to 15 minutes
or until the macaroni pasta is done. This smells so good! I can hardly wait to eat!
This one pot turkey goulash is so easy to make and it will be a time-saver on
this busy after school nights. The family and the budget will love it!
Serving tonight with a little shaved parmesan cheese on top and a little
