do you really need to track your calories from vegetables when you're

trying to lose weight let's get into it

hey everybody and welcome back to another episode of walk with me this is

josh here and today we're talking about calorie tracking and more specifically

in regards to vegetables I've heard a lot of varying opinions on this topic

over the years so I thought I'd share my thoughts and what I'd recommend for all

of you it's true that vegetables are really low in calories and they are a

great thing to add into your diet especially when you're losing weight but

I still think you should be tracking the calories from any vegetables you're

eating. Even small amounts of calories and you're dieting can really start to

add up when you compound them into an entire day or an entire week or month so

you have a reasonable portion of vegetables

with 3 meals in your day comes out to about a total of 150 calories let's say

for an example 150 calories can really add up over a week and have a big impact

on your weight loss especially if you're towards the end of your journey or if

you're a little bit shorter you know a lot of times you're lucky if you can run

a 500 calorie a day deficit 150 calories that's something like 20 or 30% of your

weight loss compounded over time that can be a significant amount of pounds

and it's also I think the culprit for a lot of people that might be plateauing

with their weight loss or they're not really sure why their plan isn't working

when it should be you know an early on that's probably something you can get

away with pretty easily but towards the end of your journey as you're refining

your diet and that you're refining your plan and your goals it's important to

kind of recalibrate that stuff and make sure you're tracking everything

accurately including your vegetables so even if it doesn't seem relevant or if

someone else told you you shouldn't track them because vegetables are good

for you they can still have an impact on your weight loss so I still think you

should track it the more knowledge you have about weight loss and about your

situation about your stats the easier you're able to tweak and change and

adapt and stick to weight loss long term so you just want to make sure and

collect as much info as you possibly can vegetables included but that's gonna be

it for this week everybody nice short and simple one but an important one I'd
