Cover with lid, cook at small heat for 20 minutes, turn off the heat and leave covered for 5 minutes
For more convenient mixing temporarily remove part of the rice

Classic Chinese Egg Drop Soup Recipe ~ 10 Minute Egg Drop Soup - Duration: 2:47.
There is nothing more comforting than a bowl of good egg drop soup. It seems to
warm the toes and the soul. I'm Tess and today I'm making a classic Chinese egg
drop soup. Come join me!

Chinese egg drop soup is so
easy to make and you can have it ready in five to ten minutes. I'm using four
cups of chicken broth. This is homemade but if you're using a boxed or canned
chicken broth or stock just make sure that you choose a low-sodium.
I have my heat on medium high and I'm bringing this up to a boil. I'm also
adding in some light soy sauce and this adds some flavor and a little saltiness.
Also adding in a little black pepper. You can also use white pepper for a little
more heat. Giving it a good stir.
Once up to a boil I'm adding in a slurry of cornstarch and water and this will
slightly thicken the broth. I'm using 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and I don't
like my egg drop soup real thick. Some like the soup a thicker consistency so
you can adjust the cornstarch slurry to your liking.
Turning my heat down to a simmer. Now is the time to add the star of the show....
the egg! This is a beaten jumbo egg but you can add too small or medium eggs.
I'm stirring the broth and at the same time slowly pouring in my egg. You will see
the small strands start to form... it's like magic!
Finally, in goes some chopped white and greens of garden onions and a dash of
sesame oil. Give it a good stir and it's ready to eat.
I think the sesame oil gives it a classic bright flavor.
Initially, when bringing the broth up to a boil you could add in a slice or two a
fresh ginger. That is the great part of making this classic Chinese egg drop
soup at home, you can make it the way you like it. Also, if you have a chance please

5 Couples Costumes Inspired by Classic Movies - Duration: 11:10.
Movie characters are always a favorite for Halloween costumes, and I know this
year I'm going to be giving out candy to a lot of Incredibles, Elsas and Annas,
Jedis, and Moanas... and I'll have so many Marvel superheroes at my door I'm
kind of expecting Stan Lee to do a cameo. But for someone who loves classic movies
as much as I do, nothing gets me as excited as seeing someone who's dug deep
and come up with a costume that focuses on a character who appeared in a movie
that you couldn't see on an IMAX screen. So as a bit of self-serving
encouragement, here are five couples costumes inspired by classic movies that
you can wear this Halloween. Ny now everyone should know that the sequel
Mary Poppins Returns is coming out this Christmas, so why not get ahead of the
curve by turning yourselves into everyone's favorite singing nanny and
her chimney sweep dancing partner for Halloween for Mary you're gonna want a
white blouse if you can find one with some ruffles on the edges all the better
and you'll need to accent that blouse with a red bow tie in a pinch a bowed
piece of ribbon will work nicely if you live in a colder part of the world a
dark jacket would be a nice addition but it's not a requirement grab a black or
blue skirt and add a red belt for a pop of color either dark or white leggings
will work and you can wear dark heels boots you know lace-ups would be best or
simply some flats and you're nearly done now it's the accessories that really let
people know you're Mary Poppins you'll definitely want an umbrella and some
white gloves are a nice touch a bag with a tapestry Paisley or dark floral print
will work well to the last touch you'll want to work on is the Hat Mary wears is
kind of short top hat but really any black hat with a brim will work even a
derby style hat like you'd find for a few bucks at your local party store now
add a couple flowers around the brim and you'll be supercalifragilistic
expialidocious by the way supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
showed up in my spell checker and that's pretty cool now on to Bourke you want to
start with some black or dark gray pants add a button down in either
white tan or gray if you go with white though be sure to smudge it up with some
charcoal or something like that you're a chimney sweep you don't want to
look too neat and clean and if you live where it's cold grab a dark blazer at
your local thrift store and smudge it with some chalk or charcoal to dirty it
up some if you don't need a jacket where you live a dark vest also available at a
lotta thrift stores will do nicely grab some dark shoes and you're nearly
done now like with Mary is the accessories that make this costume first
Bert needs a scarf dark red works great if you can't find one though buy a red
t-shirt at the thrift store and cut it up to make one you'll also need to find
a flat cap you can usually find one of these at the Halloween stores or thrift
stores but ask around a better friend has one to let you borrow the last bit
you'll need is the chimney broom howling stores actually sometimes carry
these but if you like to DIY one you just need to find a dowel rod or a broom
stick to paint it black and for the bristles you want to grab some long
straws and hot glue them between two cardboard circles use a washer and a
screw and screw the cardboard into the end of the pole spray paint the whole
thing black smudge some charcoal in your face and you're ready to step in time
with the best all right Marion Bert will be cute but if you want to go for creepy
the Grady twins from the shining is a great option here's the thing this one
works with two females but I think it's actually better with a male and a female

ideally Mary Jane's will complete the look finally you'll need to make a
decision about whether or not you're the girls before or after they've been
killed you'll be fine going just as you are but
some people like the gory look and if that's you splatter some fake blood on
the dresses and use makeup to add some dark shadows around your eyes and you'll
be ready to head out and get your fill of Red Rum all right now let's keep with
the Kubrick theme our next costume can work for a couple or a group and it's
the droogs from A Clockwork Orange they're an ultra
violent gang whose questionable sense of fashion
easily translates into a costume you can pull off without much effort now to
start off you're gonna grab a white shirt and pants a basic button-down and
some painters pants you can find at Home Depot will work great and don't forget a
pair of white suspenders over the pants you'll need to wear a jockstrap now you
can find these of course at your local sporting goods stores get a big one it's
there for show not to protect your boys or girls for that matter you're looking
for comfort and style not protection for shoes you want to find a pair of black
work boots that you can tuck the pant legs into you'll also need a black hat
ideally a boulder or a top hat but in a pinch a pork pie or even a beret could
work once you have all that you're ready to accessorize now to really set your
outfit off you'll want a cane it doesn't have to be fancy a piece of black PVC
pipe will be light and look great you can pick it up at your local hardware
store when you're buying those painters pants you'll also want to get a set of
fake eyelashes the best part here is you only need to put the eyelashes on one
eye so you can share the other one with your partner and finally remember that
droogs drink milk so grab a glass and fill it with milk just fill it with
eggnog pina coladas whatever you like and as alex says that will sharpen you
up and make you ready for a bit of the old
ultraviolence with the recent news of Burt Reynolds passing away his
characters could be a popular choice this Halloween
ensure you could go as cannonball run Burt or deliverance Burt or even Boogie
Nights Burt but the best bird of the mall was Smokey and the Bandit Burt now
for the Bandit you're looking to do a classic cowboy look
that means blue jeans boots Brown is preferred black will do a big flashy
belt buckle a red collared shirt the bigger the collar the better and a brown
cowboy hat and if he could stick some feathers and a belt buckle with the
state of Florida on it around the band you'll be all set to go except for one
last thing you can't be Burt and you can't be the Bandit without a big ol
moustache if you can't grow one in time you can always get one of these at your
local Halloween store now for the other half of the couple if you have a wedding
dress by all means put it on and you'll be an
adorable Sally Field but remember it's not called Sally in the Bandit it's
called Smokey and the Bandit so I think you'll have much more fun dressing up as
sheriff Buford T justice instead now this is a pretty straightforward police
uniform in brown a tan button-down and some khakis will get you halfway there
add in a dark tie a big black belt and a sheriff star to complete the look
now for accessories you'll want a tan cowboy hat and some dark sunglasses if
you can make a name tag this is justice on it
that's even better and don't forget that b40 also has a mustache
his is a pencil-thin one though so you could probably get by by just drawing
one on with some eyeliner keep a cigarette in your hand and stay so
classic one-liners and you're ready to go now here's the best part either one
of you can be v40 and either one of you can be the Bandit if you can't decide
maybe just let the one with the hairier chest play the Bandit alright I've got
one last costume based on a classic movie that's not only fun but it can be
sophisticated and stylish as well and that's to go as barmy
Kalai let's start with Clyde the biggest piece defined here is a classic
three-piece suit ideally it should be Navy or gray but if you can find
pinstripes that's even better if you can't find the matching three-piece do
try to find a suit and a coordinating vest if possible add in a pop of color
with a loud tie big bold patterns were better here than stripes or ties with a
simple repeating pattern and remember this is Bonnie and Clyde not Al Capone
so avoid the gangster look Warren Beatty's Clyde looked more like a banker
than a mafia boss now the complete collides look be sure to top it off with
a nice fedora if you can't find a fedora a flat cap can work just as well all
right on to Bonnie Faye Dunaway had a number of different looks in this film
but the most iconic was her brown tweed skirt paired with a butterscotch sweater
top a dark pattern scarf adds a nice contrast and a floppy beret completes
the look to really sell the look though some lace-up heels and thigh high
stockings will give you a classic 30s feel and if you can't match this look
exactly don't worry the little touches like the beret and the scarf will up
everyone recognize that your Bonnie but to really sell the look there are some
props that both Bonnie and Clyde should have nearby first of course are their
guns pistols will work fine tommy guns are another great option though but be
safe make sure the guns you use are obviously toy guns and remember not to
take them anywhere where God's may not be allowed now if you're nervous about
having guns in your hands bags of cash they have the names of banks written on
them who will work just as well all right well hope this gives you some
