hey hey how's it going there Aaron Chen here I hope you're doing well if you're
watching this video right now today then you're probably on YouTube doing a
little bit of research on email list building okay so I'm gonna be talking
about some of the best strategies for you to build an email list how to build
a relationship with their list and how to get that email is to buy from you
that's the most important thing right hey there my name is Aaron Chen for those
who for those of you who don't know me I'm an online entrepreneur have been
online for nine years eight of those nine years they'll feel really really
miserably so I know a thing or two about you know failing and kind of hitting
roadblocks but over the last year figured some amazing things out and have
generated over a thousand sales in my business okay and one of those big kind
of shifts was understanding how to grow my list how to build a relationship with
that list and how to get them to know like and trust me so that they would
actually buy my products okay so over the next few minutes I'm gonna be
sharing some of those secrets with you alright so email list building how does
it you know all start how do you actually do it properly right so I'm
gonna start from the beginning and I'm gonna talk to you a little bit I'm just
gonna assume that you don't really know that much about you know list building
but you want to learn how to do it okay so the first thing that you need to
understand is that you must have you must must have your own capture pages
okay if you're using somebody else's capture pages you want to consider
getting your own because if you use somebody else's what what's what's gonna
tend to happen is your conversions are gonna suffer because you look like you
know thousands of other capture pages out there right so instead of using
somebody else's what you want to do is you want to use software like click
funnels for example to build your own branded capture page so that it's unique
nobody else has it and that so and what happens then is your conversion rates
your opt-in rates are not going to suffer okay so if you want to get access

I love it I use it for everything I use it for all my capture pages I build all
my finals out with with click funnels I build my webinar funnels all with click
funnels everything I use click funnels it's very very powerful ok the cool
thing about it too is you can split test right so you can split test you know
capture page one with capture page two and see which one's better you just have
to change one small thing and the one that wins gives you a better opt-in rate
you make that the control okay and then you now have another you know split test
that you can just keep running and see which one does better for you that's all
it is okay now what you want to do then is you want to attach your capture page
to an autoresponder okay so if you're not using an autoresponder you want to
make sure that you you know use a good autoresponder you can use very basic
ones like Aweber or get response if you're a little bit more advanced you
can use there are a lot of really really advanced ones but you know Infusionsoft
is an advanced one it's it's kind of clunky though so I would be very careful
with using Infusionsoft but first stick to a weber and get response attach it to
your capture page and then what will happen is when somebody lands on your
capture page and they want to opt-in as soon as they leave their email address
in there they get added to your autoresponder
account and then what you can do is you can set up some preset follow-up emails
that will go out to the people that opt-in exactly the same way so for
example let's just say you set up ten automated emails every single every
single person that opts in to your email list will receive exactly those 10
emails okay now the way that I would do it and this is a problem with a lot of
people that do email list building is they tend to you know they tend to slam
their email list with sales message after sales message after sales message
okay so you want to be very careful because look if someone kept selling you
stuff every single day if you know if I but if a foreign salesman or a car
salesman came and knocked on your door every single day and they knew that you
didn't like you know okay let's just say they were selling washing machines okay
and they came to your house they rang on your doorbell
you open the doorbell and say hey how's it going Bryan my name is Erin and I'm
here to sell your washing machine and you're like no thank you
interested in washing machines you close the door the next day same guy came as
it rings on the doorbell you open it and it's it's like hey hey Brian its Aaron
and I'm here to sell you another washing machine it's a different version this
one's a Dyson yesterday was a Toshiba right you're gonna be like no thank you
Aaron I'm kind of you know I'm not interested in washing machine third day
comes around same thing happens you get the idea right what's gonna happen
you're gonna get really really sick of Aaron the washing machine salesman right
well that's exactly what people are doing online instead of building a
relationship with their list they're just literally slamming their lists with
the same offer every single day basically an email comes in and says hey
you want to learn how to make $5,000 click here day number two an email comes
in says hey you want to learn how to make $500 a day click here right so
you're it's the same sales message that leads to the same sales page and people
get sick of that kind of message okay so make sure you're not doing that here's a
strategy that you can try instead okay set up a series of seven emails in your
autoresponder first two emails need to introduce yourself and yes talk about
the opportunity that the person had opted in for for the first place so for
example if you're selling some sort of network marketing opportunity okay or an
internet marketing business opportunity the first two emails want to talk about
you know exactly you want to remind the person hey you know thanks for opting in
to my page really appreciate it I just wanted to let you know that you know you
can in order for you to get access to what you what you opted in for in the
first place you can get access to it right here by clicking here okay so you
just kind of like remind them you show them what they opted in for lead them
back to the page day number two you kind of do the same thing say hey it's a it's
Erin again you know hope you're well thanks for checking on my stuff
yesterday just in case you missed it remember that you opted in for the
system that actually teaches you how to become a very very powerful affiliate
marketer I personally made ten thousand dollars last month with it here's access
to it again and then you leave the link that's day number two okay from day
number three onwards to day number eight or day number seven what you want to do
instead is you want to you want to add lots of value okay so instead of just
sending them directly to the sales page for the opportunity you want to create
some sort of video series like this okay just grab your iPhone camera app grab
your Samsung camera and make a series of five four or five videos where you're
adding value and you're teaching your prospects something about that business
opportunity all about that topic that they opted in for so for example if
you're teaching someone how to build a business online you want to break up
five crucial steps that you can teach them over five days and each day you
teach them something very very important right about that particular thing and
maybe you create a video that lasts five to ten minutes that's all you have to do
very very simple right so maybe on day one you teach them how to build an email
list and then you record a video and you say hey listen if you want to build a
successful business online I want to talk to you about how to build a very
powerful email list and this is how you do it and you give them you know maybe
two or three strategies and then say hey listen I hope you enjoyed this video you
know I just gave you two or three strategies that you can use today to
build a very powerful email list to build a great relationship with your
list and if you want to learn how I was really able to do that and if you really
want to learn how to build you know a powerful business online I want to show

opting in today I really want to talk a little bit about you know
Facebook marketing and having a very strong profile because when people see
your stuff it's very important that you know it looks like you're a real person
and it looks like it's full so in this video I'm gonna talk about having a
really really good profile and a good profile starts with having a very good
profile picture okay so the kind of picture that you want blah blah blah
blah blah blah all that kind of stuff okay so after you teach that then you
say again you kind of link it back to your product so you could say something

okay so first two days promote the product directly next five days you want
to add some value and then link them back to the product okay now so you've
got a seven day promotion what do you do after day seven well what I would do is
I would blast your entire email list once every two to three days okay don't
email them every single day because if you email them every single day you're
just gonna get annoying okay and what's gonna happen is when you get annoying
people stop opening your emails and then you stop being you stop being effective
to your email list because imagine if you have 10,000 people on your email
list but only 1% of them opens your email does it really matter that you
have a 10,000 person email this not really right so if you've ever heard
people say the money's in the list the money's in lists that is absolute
bullshit okay the money is in the relationship that you have with that
list if you have a great relationship with that list it doesn't matter that
you you know you don't need to have a 10,000 person list all you really need
to have is a hundred person list right or a 200 a person list right because if
you had 200 people on your list but all those 200 people
love you they love your content they love your stuff and every time you send
an it an email they open every single email and they really consider the stuff
that you're selling seriously then you have a group of people that really
really love your stuff you've got you've got a group of raving fans that follow
your every word and your every lead and that's exactly what you want now how do
you do that it's all about email list building it's about cultivating that
list it's about building a relationship with that list it's about giving that
list your best stuff right so when you get to a point where you've you know
done the seven emails every two to three days instead of just selling them crap
what do you want to do is you want to sell them or send them sorry valuable
content okay so grab your camera or you know grab out your best email and create
content that would truly add value to your prospects life okay to your tribe
as you call it I'll get to your list to your to the people on your list right
remember that behind every email is a living breathing human being okay so if
you treat them like a real person then they're gonna reciprocate like a real
person if you just treat them like a number like an email address right then
then obviously they're gonna stop opening your emails and you may as well
just delete your entire list because it's not gonna be that valuable anymore
okay so all you do is is you blast out are
you do a broadcast okay through get response or Aweber and you create a
little video you think about a topic that you think will give them lots of
value for that day okay record a five to ten fifteen minute
video give them that value and say hey listen you know if you want to check out
what I'm doing right now you can click on the link below or you don't even ask
them to click on anything you know some days you just give them a real value and
you say hey look listen this is something that I've learned over the
last nine years this is something I learned over the last you know month
I've put in a lot of money into it I don't want you to fail as well so make
sure you you know avoid this this step and you know here's what happened and
here's what I did take this information and do what you want with it you know
this is our intense signing up blah blah whatever right
don't even ask them to click on anything and that is how you gain
you know that's how you you get people to to know like and trust you okay so
that is some email you know that is some list email list building strategies okay
