I just finished lunch

whether it was a quick meal of a peanut butter and jelly

sandwich or a fancy gourmet experience Jewish tradition teaches I should thank

God for the food I just ate

there is a minimal ancient formula which can be

recited which can be roughly translated as rub-a-dub-dub thanks for the grub

yay God but the traditional prayer Birkat Hamazon, the blessing after a

meal that included bread is somewhat longer the first paragraph is probably

the best well known it starts as follows

Birkat Hamazon is one example of how our tradition expresses thanks and

gratitude it continues for four sections that talk about gratitude for food, the

Land of Israel, a prayer for a rebuilt Jerusalem, and God's goodness

Jewish tradition seems to be saying that we need more than just these two words

of thank you to be fully grateful

so let's dive into the first paragraph in

some more detail a number of words repeat Kol (all), Mazon or zon

(sustenance and sustain) Tov (good)

this is our way of saying you just finished your

lunch but you need to see this as your way to thank God for the goodness for

all creatures who are fed and sustained by God but wait a minute do I really

believe that God provides food for all if I really look carefully there seems

to be a different picture people in my own City live with food insecurity food

is expensive not everyone can afford good food let alone any food famines

occur. Many are hungry. Am I really supposed to believe God is feeding all?

Do I have to ignore the reality for many who really worry about from where the

next meal is coming? Do I have to lie?

I do not think Birkat Hamazon is asking me to lie

and describe God's actions in a way that is false

rather it is asking me to do three different things. First it tells me to be

grateful to God for the food I have eaten say thank you.

Second use my gratitude as a moment to assert in my imagination that God

sustains the whole world in all creatures. It does not have to be true

now but it is an aspiration for which to strive. And third, work to make this

aspiration a reality. It asks me what can I do so that others can have adequate food.

Prayers like Birkat Hamazon teach that with gratitude comes

obligation and responsibility. If I am able to thank God for my lunch then I

need to help ensure others will have lunch so that they too can thank God and

this is only the first paragraph of Birkat Hamazon.

What If Totally Accurate Battlegrounds Was Serious - Duration: 2:05.

Things used to be peaceful here.

But then they came… they took us from our homes, gave us guns and made is fight for

their entertainment.

I wonder these fields, I see the men and women who were once my brothers, my sisters… my

friends and neighbors.

I see them fighting for the entertainment of those bastards and I wonder just what I

can do to stop it.

These homes used to be full of laughter, and joy… children played in these fields.

But now it's nothing more than a place of death and decay.

I've learned to fight just to stay alive…

I've taken the lives of the people I once loved.

Just how much longer am I supposed to put up with this… are we supposed to put up

with this?

Just when I think I'm done… they put me back in the truck, kick me out and tell me,

fight….

Fine then…

I'll fight and then i'll find the sick bastards in charge of this circus and i'll

make them regret capturing me.

What Is The SCP Foundation Hiding From Us? - Duration: 6:39.

Hello Internet - and welcome back to the most inquisitive channel on YouTube - Life's

Biggest Questions - the place where we collectively scratch our heads and wonder, is there anyone

running this thing?

As always - I'll be your disembodied floating voice, Jack Finch - as we boldly ask the question,

What is The SCP Foundation Hiding From Us?

Now - I know we've casually joked about the existence of the SCP Foundation - as if

such a thing could ever go unnoticed this whole time without alerting a keen eyed journalist

or a nothing to lose whistleblower, but, in all seriousness - let me tell you - Project:

Anubis is alive and well and in need of [DATA REDACTED] [DATA REDACTED] [DATA REDACTED]

*PROJECT: ANUBIS 01001100 01101001 01100111 01101000 01110100 00100000 01110100 01101000

01100101 00100000 01100010 01100101 01100001 01100011 01101111 01101110 00101110*

Phew - sorry there folks, I lost myself for a minute.

Anyway - before we begin, if you're a fan of this SCP based video, go ahead and give

us a thumbs up - or a respective thumbs down - and share this video with a friend, enemy,

civil servant or your nearest state senator.

Because, the question is an important one - and in essence, the short answer is: a lot

of things.

The Foundation's very nature is to keep things secret, as we've covered before,

and contain those things in a special set of procedures.

Simple.

At its very core, the foundation seeks to withhold the truth, throw it in a sack and

bury it a thousand feet below the Earth in a concrete filled tube.

It's inner machinations rely on everything /but/ the truth to keep it ticking.

Sound selfish?

Well - no.

There's nothing selfish about preventing the universal manifestation of cosmic horror

from strangling all life as we know it with it's fleshy tentacles.

In fact, it's brave.

It's a role that always needed to be filled, and is absolutely necessary.

But there's one particular group that couldn't disagree more.

The Chaos Insurgency.

In 1924, a covert special task force was formed - known only to the O5 Council - which they

fittingly nicknamed, the Insurgency.

It was comprised mainly of members of an unequivocally loyal military task force - known as the Red

Right Hand.

It's role was to complete missions outside the remit of the Foundation itself, which

involved ethically questionable methods and politically unsavory results - which the Foundation

needed to keep clear of.

In short - The Chaos Insurgency was a rogue squad that got the job done when no one else

would do it.

However - it became a self fulfilling prophecy in 1948, when during a seemingly routine staged

operation - the Chaos Insurgency /actually/ went rogue and seized assets and entities

from a multitude of Foundation sites, disappearing into obscurity.

The question is why though?

And why do we know incredibly little about them?

Well - while the motives behind the Insurgency's betrayal remain relatively unknown - their

general code is to fully embrace the idea of transhumanism, ignoring ethical limitations

in experimentation - taking their practices to the ultimate extreme, and making them unpalatable

for even the black-and-gray Foundation to stomach.

In essence, the Chaos Insurgency believes that it's carrying out a great rebellion

against the Foundation's status quo - believing that humanity should embrace the chaos of

the void, and use the power held within it's anomalies to augment our very existence.

But - in all seriousness - know what knows what the Chaos Insurgency actually wants.

Maybe it's all a box within a box, and the O5 Council are orchestrating layers upon layers

of lies, double, triple - and quadruple bluffing even themselves.

They're playing 4d underwater chess, just for the shear fun of it.

Or - maybe they all took an O5 level amnestic and forgot that entire point of the Chaos

Insurgency.

They're just sat there, twiddling their thumbs - waiting for the whole thing to blow

over.

Talking of amnestics, though - we're led into our main point - the point that origin

doesn't even matter for the SCP Foundation.

Where did it all begin?

When did the first record pass across the first desk?

It can be a thousand tales, or one - they all mean the same thing.

You'd think that the easiest starting point would be SCP-001, right?

Work chronologically and all that.

But - no - as most things are with the SCP Foundation, it's not as easy as that.

To avoid seamlessly answering the question of where the Foundation originates, the first

note in their catalogue - several SCP-001 files have been created to act as decoys alongside

the true file or files.

There are exactly 27 separate files under SCP-001.

All of them could be true, all of them but one could be false.

There's no way to know, and that's exactly as the Foundation likes it.

Some people believe it to be the Wrong Proposal - a document that states the Foundation was

formed after the Great Occult War - which the cause and origin of is unknown, but a

number of groups banded together to create the Foundation as a preventative measure.

Or - some believe it to be a decoy.

Other's believe that CODE NAME: Bright is the truth.

AKA - the Factory, where in the fallout of the American Civil War - a great, hulking

factory was built that harboured the horrors of a man, James Anderson - known as the Anderson

Factory, built in 1835.

A surviving member of the O5 reportedly was a liberator of the horrors inside, and used

the site as a base of operations to secure, contain and protect their way across the planet.

Oh - also, the Factory is sentient and requires habitual human sacrifice.

Or - the Scranton Proposal - the idea that the Foundation itself is SCP-001 - it's

history so full of paradoxes, time travel and anti-memetics that no one really knows

where it's existence came from.

Or it's SCP-001-J - a big red, shiny button - so powerful, that it will obliterate reality

itself if pushed.

Well - the point is, we'll probably never find out.

And - in fact, now's about time that your Class-A Aerosol Amnestic should be administered.

Thanks for watching, and remember - the truth is irrelevant.

Well, there we are guys - the fantastically vague answer to What Is The SCP Foundation

Hiding From Us?

What do you think?

What do you think the true nature of the Foundation is?

Has it always existed, in some form or another?

Speak your mind in the comment box down below.

What Was the Song at the End of the 'Yellowstone' Finale? | Heavy.com - Duration: 2:28.

What Was the Song at the End of the 'Yellowstone' Finale? | Heavy.com

If you're like me, then that song at the end of the Yellowstone really moved you.

The singer talked about mercy, a man's work almost being over, and how people in power will do anything to keep their crown.

The scene at the end of the Yellowstone finale, as Kevin Costner walked toward the beautiful mountains and the music played in the background, really touched many fans' hearts.

If you are wondering what the song is and who the artist is, we have all the information for you and a video.

The song was absolutely phenomenal and perfect for that final scene.

Mary Gauthier has had an intense life that has helped make her songs raw and authentic.

She ran away from home at 15 and spent several years in halfway houses and rehab.

She even spent her 18th birthday in jail.

She has been sober ever since one fateful night in 1990 when she was arrested for drunk driving.

She wrote her first song at 35, which just goes to show that you can always achieve your dreams.

The American Music Association awarded her New Artist of The Year.

Mercy Now was her first major label release, in 2005, and was on Top 10 lists for dozens of publications, even Billboard Magazine and The New York Times.

What did you think of the song? Do you agree that it was the perfect ending for the episode? Let us know in the comments below.
