Morning chaps I'm down a farm today lots of activity going on down here and don't
quite know what it is goin' on. Lots of cars I don't recognize - this is the travel Pole when
it's packed and all 4 going out tomorrow but one gentleman has ordered
a conversion kit with it which is all the plates now he and I are a little bit
unsure exactly how the top of the plates are gonna fit so what I want to do is
I'll put them both I couldn't I could arrange this and put them in the vise
using the tennis racket piece I'll show you in a minute I can guide them both
straight out the door put all the components on and see how the travel
pole fits with a DX commander the original classic this one here which I'm
sending out now do with the nice with a nice bag before a star set to 20 like
this she quite likes the interview we did with Emily m6e LM well Wendy doesn't
have a call sign but she nearly took the foundation course out see but I think we

can get away without any hose clamps see that would work there wouldn't it

bit of a longer loop to just to load the top of it that's all
yeah that's what we'll do no the upper spreader I'll be waffling around as well
okay let's review this so that why won't it focus that is what you call that he's

just remembered and that's a nylon version of it okay and that fits
that fits at the 7-meter point so what happens is the 40 meter element it just

meter element just connects to it so that's using the classic pole the four

out and use a bit of tape if you want 30 all right but is it it's not flimsy Pole
but there's definitely more bend in a travel pole than there is in the classic
so it's drooping down about nine inches lower than the classic and it's
genuinely thinner okay so by all me to go portable with something like this but
just beware it's probably a tiny bit more fragile than a regular Pole because
I mean there's seventeen seconds you genuinely get tapers off but but
everything else fits so that's really cool

like Skype call I'm a bit pissed off because yes the travel holds great I
have been faffing around for an hour now it is genuinely lighter it's about the
same weight still get me wrong but because it's 17 sections each section is
a bit lighter there's more sections and the end is thinner so you can have to be
careful if you do want to travel bowl you know have some consideration for it
because it's not as I mean I can really whack these 10 meter poles around
normally but with a travel pole then you just need to be a bit more careful and
also the upper spreader which is the bit where the elements connect to on classic
at a 5 meter point it's not quite as robust the thing is gonna be a little
bit more whippy or distort in the wind so I'm gonna have to make a dedicated
upper spreader with a smaller hole thinner less diameter and I think it's
got to be a bit like a DX commander light is that you can have 40 metres on
it and full full on 40 yes but you won't be able to have 30 as well you'll have
40 and has the generator just kicked in and then you're into a bit maybe you
know to other bands I don't know where you
get 14 15 won't we so we can get 12 and 17 something like that so that that will
be fine thinking about it but I need a smaller top smaller upper spreader did
this this bit here which goes up at the 5bt point so all in all it's gonna work
the guys that there's a chap is just poor conversion kept what it's gonna
need to do is put an A now trying to put it in a box a couple of hose clamps sold
if he wants the upper spread of that is he doesn't need the upper spreader and
in fact it will fit it further down so you'll have to be a bit creative with 20
metres and load the top of 20 metres by going up and down but anyway whatever a
kind of a success at least we've worked it out there's a bit more droop I could
just got them horizontal at the moment and it's just ball whippy I mean he's
kind of lighter weak at the top you see cuz to get all the sections in that's
all it is Lucky's workshop before the next wall is about two feet short end me
two bowls so when I go for a 12 metre pole I'm gonna have to come at it a
different angle but I stick them out at the door anyway what I'll do is I'll
raise both of them outside and just make sure that yes you know I just want to
build feel comfortable at the wobble to be honest and I want to be able to alert
people exactly what they're getting into all right if you don't absolutely need a
travel bowl then I'd go for the four foot long at one point to look metre
long because well that's it wrapped at 17 centimeters if you don't absolutely
need a travel Pole go to 1.2 troubles bit difficult to get on air crafts and
stuff but there we are that's all guys all right I'm just downy I just want a
little update on that I'll see you gonna make the DB film in
the next couple of days decibels we didn't talk about that you remember so I
