hey guys it's Coco and welcome back to my channel if you're new here then hello

it's lovely to have you here today's video as you can tell by the

title is a May favorites all about everything that I've loved in the month

of May

so as usual my first category is entertainment

I'll start off with my books that I've loved this month

well actually it's only one book this month because again I've had a slow one

because I've been revising a lot more now which is good but it means that I've

had less time to do things that I actually want to do but yeah this book

that I have here is called emergency contact by Mary HK Choi I mentioned this

in my book haul so yeah this book is about penny and Sam and they're both going

through a really tough time in their lives right now and they meet and

exchange numbers and become each other's emergency contact so they talk to each

other all the time I mean you can probably guess where it leads to such an

easy read that just made me continuously want to read more ther's a link in the

description if you want to go and check it out lastly an entertainment is

YouTube so anything that I've been loving on YouTube this month I've

actually discovered this new girl well I didn't discover her but I've just found

her video this is what I mean her name is Eve Cornwell me check yeah her

name's Eve Cornwell and she's a university student at Bristol University

in England she's hilarious so funny and I love her

style of videos I actually think she's quite similar to the type of videos that

I make which is probably why I like her because we got you know things in common

I've kind of been watched all of her videos Eve love her go check her out

again linked in the description next is all of the music that I have loved this month

and the first one is called afraid by Mimi

now Mimi's a youtuber that I've been watching for a really long time

well i say a really long time but really like a year and a half or something like

that two years I love her videos as well she's really cute I love her style

Mimi just came out with some new songs - two I believe... two

both of them I

absolutely adore but my favorite one is called afraid let me play you a little bit

okay yeah so as you can tell it's a really chilled out song I've been

listening to that song on repeat since it came out love Mimi

my next favorite song is called she changes the weather by Swim Deep this song

I have loved since like when I was in year 11 I first heard it when I was

going to the Reading Festival I was listening to all the artists that were

going to see if I like their music and I found this song and it is just insane

you'll get what I mean when you hear the song

again pretty chilled out but like in a really inspiring way I don't know and

then my last favorite song is by Haim which is a very well known band so yeah

the song that I'm talking about is falling I think this is one of their

Sun damaged skin with resulting in freckles and dark spots can appear at any age.

This includes situations such as younger people who've experience a lot of sun exposure

or indoor tanning, as well as older people with accumulated sun damage which becomes

more visible in later years.

Treating sun damaged skin in the past involved aggressive treatments accompanied by long

downtime.

Modern technologies allow me to help my patients get comparable results, but without the prolonged

healing process.

I'm Dr Amiya Prasad.

I'm a Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon and Fellowship Trained Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive

Surgeon.

I've been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island for over 20 years.

I have been treating sun damaged skin since I started my practice.

I started first using deep chemical peels and fully ablative CO2 laser.

As medical technology evolved, I adapted the use of less aggressive fractional lasers such

as CO2 and Erbium lasers.

In addition, I routinely use nonablative lasers which leave the top layers of skin intact

resulting in tupically no downtime.

I also synergistically use regenerative medicine technology like PRP or platelet-rich plasma

to further improve the skin at the same time.

Types of sun damaged skin ranges from different concentrations of melanin and pigment.

Light to dark discolorations that manifest as small spots are commonly described as freckles

or solar dyschromias.

Larger, more defined spots are commonly described as dark spots or brown spots, which we call

in our field solar lentigos.

These freckles and brown spots occur between the top and bottom layer of the skin, called

the dermal-epidermal junction.

To treat dark spots and freckles in the past involved removing, or ablating the top layer

skin.

This was first done with chemical peels, also known as TCA peels, which stands for trichloroacetic

acid, which required significant recovery for the top layer of skin to regenerate.

Chemical peels also tended to treat unaffected areas of the face, so treatment wasn't localized

to small areas.

This meant that more surface area of the face was involved in the healing process.

While TCA peels are effective, they did require patients to take time off work while their

facial skin was still peeling for several days after treatment.

Skin treatment evolved into the first fully ablative CO2 lasers in the mid 1990s.

CO2 lasers also removed the top layer of skin, and required significant downtime.

Lasers were also effective but patients were exposed to a lot of heat energy, and doctors

and practitioners had to manage the effects of high levels of heat on the skin.

Fully ablative CO2 lasers also involved removal of the top layer of skin, with heating of

the lower layer of the skin, the dermis.

A lot of healing time was needed.

Patients could be out for weeks while waiting for a skin layers to come back and cover up

the skin which was intensely red.

The laser technology I use in my practice every to treat solar dyschromias and lentigos

are treated without the need for prolonged downtime.

I discuss with my patients during consultation what the specific aspects of the skin my patients

want to see improve.

I also discuss the amount of recovery needed for the issues they are concerned about.

For example, if they want to address fine lines, an option we can use are fractional

lasers.

There is a dual benefit to fractional lasers.

One is the removal of irregular top layers of skin which is the epidermis and the other

is energy delivery for collagen remodeling in the lower layer of the skin, the dermis.

Unlike fully ablative laser treatment, fractional lasers allow surface areas to be left intact

which results in faster healing.

If the main concern is about dark spots and freckles, I usually use a Q Switch laser.

The laser can go through the top layer of skin leaving it intact while breaking up the

pigment caused by sun damage.

The approach to treatment is typically to have patients come in monthly so the pigmentation

progressively diminished without any disruption in the patient's schedule.

I explain to my patients that the pigmentation caused by the sun is comparable to a tattoo

even though a tattoo is placed in the deeper part of the skin.

The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment and broken up into smaller particles which

are metabolized by the body.

Like all laser treatments, skin type and skin color are very important factors in the type

of laser used and the energy settings.

Generally speaking, lighter skin can take a higher energy setting, while darker skin

needs a lower setting.

As I stated earlier, I routinely employ the use of regenerative medicine technology such

as platelet rich plasma and hyaluronic acid to help the skin quality.

It's actually a routine for us to perform Q switch laser treatment, which we refer to

as laser toning with PRP and hyaluronic acid delivered to the dermis called skin boosting.

In fact, PRP has been documented in the medical literature to be beneficial in treating hyperpigmentation

which further makes this combination an effective strategy.

Treating pigmentation and other skin issues caused by sun damage no longer requires the

long downtime of chemical peels and aggressive lasers.

As mentioned earlier, since the top layer of skin is intact with the Q Switch laser,

healing time is minimal to none even when combined with skin boosting.

This means your skin quality and areas of pigmentation can be treated conveniently without

interruption in your daily routine.

I recommend using other products such as sunblock to protect the skin from sun exposure which

can cause more brown discolorations to appear.

Faint Galaxy w/ Zero Dark Matter Finding Draws Heated Criticism - Duration: 6:32.

Hello Space Fans and welcome to another edition of Space Fan News.

In this episode, astronomers respond to the claim made by the authors of the Nature paper

stating the galaxy known as NGC1052-DF2 - a galaxy claimed to have no dark matter - by

offering alternative explanations and expressing frustration that such extraordinary claims

were made based on such flimsy evidence.

So back on March 19th I uploaded a video telling you guys about the discovery of a galaxy called

NGC1052-DF2 or Dragonfly 44, a galaxy that the team of astronomers who studied it said

had no dark matter.

But the thing is, this would have been the only galaxy found to not have any dark matter

in it whatsoever.

What's more, this result was used to put a nail in the coffin for the MOND theory of

galaxy rotation.

So to take a quick step back for a second, astronomers have found evidence that every

galaxy has dark matter in it.

They can't see it directly but they can see the effect the dark matter has on the

rotation rate of the galaxy.

A galaxy that has no dark matter would rotate like the image on the left while one with

no dark matter in it should rotate like the galaxy on the right.

When you add up all the stuff you can see in a galaxy, you get something called its

luminous mass and includes all the dust, cool gas, hot gas and stars that are all shining

or radiating at a wide variety of wavelengths.

For example, dust can be seen in radio, cool and hot gasses in the infrared, and stars

can be seen in infrared, through visible and up past ultraviolet.

So we can see most of the normal matter in a galaxy and this is usually called the luminous

mass of the galaxy.

There is another kind of galactic mass, called a dynamical mass and is inferred by looking

at the motions of things like globular clusters within the galaxy to get a handle on things

we can't see like black holes and dark matter.

If the dynamical mass is way different from the luminous mass, then astronomers assume

there are lots of black holes and dark matter in that galaxy.

And most galaxies are like this.

But this galaxy wasn't.

It was a very dim, diffuse galaxy whose luminous and dynamical masses appeared to be close.

To get the dynamical mass, the authors measured the velocities of 10 globular clusters that

they assumed were gravitationally bound to the ultra diffuse galaxy.

If this result is confirmed, then it would be the the first ever case of such a galaxy,

out of hundreds of billions of galaxies.

But in a response published on the astronomy preprint site Astro-ph earlier this month,

and whose link I put in the description box below if you want to follow along, some astronomers

have a real problem with the methodology and the conclusions reached in this paper that

went out in one of the most prestigious scientific journals in the world, Nature.

They respond: This galaxy is very dim, and there is no way to measure for sure how stable

the orbits of the globular cluster are, nor can we even tell if they are gravitationally

bound to the galaxy itself.

If the globular clusters aren't really part of the galaxy, then they can't have anything

to contribute with respect to the dynamical mass.

There is also no evidence that the galaxy is the same at all angles (it may be a disk

and we're looking at it face on) nor is there evidence that all the stars and clusters

in the galaxy are gravitationally stable.

Objects in the galaxy may still be interacting in a chaotic way.

If it were stable, which is known as virialization, then we might be able to use these clusters

as the authors attempted.

But we don't even know that.

What we do know reasonably well is that this galaxy has a luminous mass of about 10^8 solar

masses, that's a hundred million solar masses, and as far as we know, galaxies this small

do not contain significant globular cluster systems.

Based on the paper, the authors claim that this galaxy contains 1000 times more globular

clusters than would be expected in a galaxy this size.

Say what?

If this is true, then the luminosity function (this is a way of finding what's inside

a galaxy based on its luminosity distribution), would be different from all other galaxies

in the universe.

Something these guys find very suspicious.

This galaxy would truly be different from any other known galaxy and would not follow

a luminosity function which has been proven to be universal.

So it is with a huge amount of incredulity that astronomers discover that this analysis

was published at all.

These guys are saying the findings in this paper don't even come close to the 5 sigma

deviation standard to warrant a paper of this magnitude to be published, much less in Nature.

Reading from the final paragraph of the response: Having said all the above, we cannot avoid

to ask ourselves how could such a result have been published at all, wondering how a similar

paper would have been received if the conclusion were the other way around.

This points to the responsibility of journals that at present adopt standards orders of

magnitude lower to publish results favouring the dark matter hypothesis compared to the

ones required to papers claiming the opposite.

Our sad conclusion is that science cannot progress this way.

Today i m going to share how you can use banana to do facial at home and it is very simple to make

So let's start

you need one medium size banana and peel it

Coheed and Cambria Drops New Sci-Fi Anthem Rager "The Dark Sentencer"

Coheed and Cambria have returned today with their first single in three years, "Dark Sentencer", presumably off their forthcoming album arriving later this year through Roadrunner Records.

The band dropped the 10-minute long track this morning via YouTube, which is a welcoming return to form after their departure on 2015's The Color Before the Sun.

"The Dark Sentencer", which is an anthem rager, returns to the sci-fi theatrical concept that made them famous.

"Years ago, chaos cut through this atmosphere.

The fractured worlds that inhabit this space were once locked in a force of uncontrollable destruction.

Gravity was lost.

Their planetary trajectories conjoined in one catastrophic collision, choking to remain viable even as the dying glow of their cores peek through the cracks and scars of those impactful moments.

Yet a gasp is a sign of life and the planets that many might have cast off as annihilated space continued to show a pulse across the hopelessness.

This discarded earth is still very much alive…and made profitable by the 5 Houses of the Star Supremacy, an elite society who looked to the sky and saw potential in the wasted planets.

The opportunistic approach could hardly be considered an act of empathy for the human condition, as the decision to convert the dying planets into private prisons meant another type of life sentence awaited those shipped off to their remote reaches.

Here, the desolate and derelict would burn away slowly, trapped in a race to death with the very ground they stand on.

This summer Coheed and Cambria will set out on a U.S.

co-headline tour with Taking Back Sunday and special guests The Story So Far. The 28-city U.S.

tour, produced mostly by Live Nation, will begin on Friday, July 6th in Miami, FL and make stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, Cleveland, Austin, Denver, Las Vegas and more.

The summer tour will culminate in a performance at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, AZ on Sunday, August 12th .

Hey ladies again I apologize about the bathing suit I probably should go in

and decide to change but time is money so we're gonna go over your list and

event okay so we are going to put a list together of a hundred people do not

freak out on me okay trust me I did the exact same thing do not freak out that

list should always be developing that list should be a mom that you met at a

mother's day out program that maybe is looking for some extra income or or it

could be the cashier at your grocery store that you absolutely love and it's

great with people and it was complaining about how she doesn't love her job okay

always be adding people to that list and put pen to paper don't have just a list

that you think you can carry around on your phone put pen to paper okay so

we're gonna create a list add anyone to that so this is when I'm gonna tell you

about the three different lanes okay so the three different lanes of direct

sales is inviting then what's the next lane presenting and then what's the lane

after that deciding okay so inviting presenting deciding inviting presenting

designing deciding designing so when you are talking to someone or you are making

a list you are not making the decision for them I strongly strongly strongly

encourage this every time I've made a decision for somebody I've been found

out that they've started with somebody else or I've then found out that there's

someone else's customer and that they didn't until after I decided that I

wouldn't contact that so do not get out of the deciding lane okay don't be a

drunk-driving over you're all over the place it will help your business I

promise you I promise you okay so when you're in the lane of in of

making your list that's all you're doing you're not deciding for anybody you're

not presenting to anyone first thing you're gonna do is you're gonna do that

list of 100 okay even if you have stir even if you get to 20 that's okay just

start that list okay and then after that we're gonna do a chicken list the

chicken list is my favorite list that's out there because it's the one that

everyone is terrified of trust me I am too I still get butterflies what I think

about my chicken list but I also tell myself the way that I talk to myself so

I'm like you can do this you're fine you can contact them worst case scenario

what can they say is no that's it so when you're doing your chicken list

you're gonna think about people that are extremely well off might not need extra

income but they want to be a better person people who are incredible at

business people who have a lot of influence and

people who are extremely driven okay so this can even be somebody who works at

your local grocery store and they're a manager and they are dead-on

every time you walk in there they are getting stuff to get it together they're

getting stuff taken care of and they thrive on being a leader you're looking

for an ace in your business or a leader in your business okay so when you go to

do this Chicken list I want you to think of everyone that you respect that you

love that you think would be great at this business but I also don't want you

to limit it to that because some of these people might not need extra income

some of these people might not care about the money however they might care

about the life that they can change by doing this they might care about the

women that they can help with financial freedom they might care about the

cruises and being a part of the culture okay so don't limit your chicken list

either from there what we're gonna do with these two lists is we are going to

invite them to your first event y'all it is 2018 let's be honest events can be

virtual or they can be at your home so if you're like I really don't want to do

a party at my house or my house is a disaster or like me I have yet to have a

wine and wash in my own house I've had at other places simply because I have

poor children under the age of four and we don't have anywhere else to take them

I'm just being honest so when you go to do an event we're gonna go through this

list and all we're gonna do is invite okay so we will help you tackle that as

the leaders and mentor as leaders if you're watching this and you're like I

don't know what to do go to the leaders unit I'm walking you all through meat

and potatoes how to run an organization how to help people get to where they

want to go and how to do proper zoom calls everything okay so go look at the

leader tab so when you are creating this list we are now going to invite them to

a wine and wash event so this is where you have two different routes that you

can take them I'll get on three-way calls and 3-way messages on the next

video but this one is just inviting so when you do a wine and wash event be

creative have fun do stuff do a graphic that's fun do an invite on Facebook if

you want to here's my strong strong strong encouragement for you if you were

doing a Facebook invite make sure to have that person's number and call them

the hour or two before and just say hey girl I'm so excited for you

tonight just wanted to make sure you are getting everything ready make sure to

have a list of all your confirmed guests before your party and make sure to call

them and confirm that they're still coming if I had a penny for every time

this happens to me and I had forgotten and I'm like oh yeah no you're gonna I'm

turning around the car I will be right there it happens so help those women

remember not by just posting on the party and going hasty on a little bit

you might not check their Facebook okay so when you have your list of a hundred

and then you have your chicken list we're gonna start conquering these don't

freak out cold prospecting is an option but let's start here okay and let's not

make decisions for these people let's let them decide and trust me when you

see a wine and wash event you'll realize that it is extremely relaxed because we

know the power power of these products we know that when somebody loves the

products and when they try it they're converting them to a customer a VIP or a

market partner is way easier and trust me we're not going to attack them at the

parties it's just hey let's wash your hair and hang out that's it because

people support people who they what who they know love and trust so that's what

today I'm building a bamboo box accented with cherry and walnuts

I have a set of plans complete with templates for the legs and handles on my

website if you're interested in building one. I have a fair amount of scrap wood

laying around the shop so I'm going to batch out several of these boxes

Once I had all the materials gathered up I decided to use the 8/4 wide cherry I had

for the legs. So I just ripped them down too rough with on the bandsaw

then I cleaned up the material at the jointer and headed over to my table saw

to square off the ends and set up some stop blocks on my miter gauge to cut

them to length. I made sure I kept track of what side I had jointed to be

sure everything stayed square throughout the process

The legs are going to be joined to the sides with dominoes. On the long side

will be joined with two one on the top and one on the bottom. So I screw down a

jig to the table and put some stops down one on the left for the lower mortise

and one on the right for the upper mortise. For the short side of the box I

flip the leg over end over end and as luck would have it referencing off the

bottom of the legs put the mortise fairly centered on the side

for the curve in the leg I took the time to make a plywood template. This way I

can see the shape of the curve in its actual size to be sure I liked it.

The curves on the legs and handles are what defines the design of this box so it's

important to get the detail just right

Once I had the legs all marked out I headed over the bandsaw to cut them out

making sure I left the line

Even though this is a simple cut I took time to tape the cutoff back on instead

of just trying to hold the piece together it's just a little insurance to

be sure I wouldn't screw one up

once I had them all cut out it was off to the spindle sander to refine the

curve and sand them smooth

The bamboo I'm using is a stranded bamboo flooring leftover from a previous

job so I'm just upcycling it into some boxes

To get the bamboo flooring preped to be cut to size I ripped the tongue off

along the sides and ends

I set some stops up on the miter jig so I can alternate cutting the long and

short sides of the box. By doing this it allowed me to keep the board's in order

so the grain of the strands of the bamboo would wrap around the box.

It's just one of those subtle details that brings up the quality of a piece

How stranded bamboo is mad, is they compressed the strands of bamboo

together with a hard resin. This resin was really difficult to cut mortises in

with the domino. The piece would jump side to side while trying to cut it.

I built a jig to trap the bamboo in place and added stops to the left and

right to help locate the mortises. This worked a lot better than trying to hold

the board in place. Next I needed to cut the dado to hold the bottom. I stacked

the side pieces in order so I could keep track of the flow of the grain and not

get them mixed up

Since the bottom was going to hit the inside corner of the leg I set up my

keyed miter jig to cut a notch in the corner of each leg to accept the bottom.

A little better measuring could have solved this problem but I made it work.

The dado for the bottom went through the mortise for the Domino. So the bottom

wouldn't hit the Domino I just used the chisel to chop the Domino's in half so

the bottom would pass by it when assembled. Standard wood glue didn't stick

to the resin of flooring very well so I used some epoxy to glue the legs to

the sides. To get all the dominoes lined up with the legs, and all the sides put

together. I started my assembly process by creating little sub assemblies and

then I assembled those sub assemblies together.

Since the legs are an awkward shape to clamp I use some large rubber bands to

apply a little pressure while the glue dried. I also took care to apply blue

tape along the edges to protect the form from glue squeeze out. The flooring came

from the manufacturer pre finish so I didn't want to risk scratching that

finished just to get rid of the epoxy squeezed out.

While the glue is drying on the boxes I moved on to making the lids. I set up my

shop made panel raising jig, tilted the blade to an eye-pleasing angle, and cut

the edge profile out. I always cut the end grain first as it is more likely to

tear out and whit subsequent cut along the grain will remove any of that tear out.

I then set the plate back to 90 degrees and cut a rabbit on the bottom

of the lid so it would set a little inside the box and wouldn't slide off.

The tops and legs are finished with lacquer. I used an old stool with a

swivel top to make it easier to apply the finish.

Last thing to do is make the handles

I cut the general shape out on the bandsaw leaving the line. Then I made

a jig with some toggle clamps to hold the small parts safely while routing the

final shape with a pattern bit

For the curves on the underside of the handle I cut the bulk of the material

off at the bandsaw. Then I double stick tape some stops down on the spindle

sander and picked a spindle that was close to the radius I wanted and used it

to make the final shape

To attach the handle to the lid I just used a simple dowel, a little CA glue,

eyeballed what looks straight and installed the handle. Once the glue was

set it was strong enough for this little lid

DUG Insight: Build a 3D horizon from 2D data - Duration: 4:23.

We've picked this major unconformity located in the Browse basin on the North-West Shelf of Australia

Our project does not have any 3D data

so the horizon has been picked on available 2D

To get a better understanding of the geological environment

we would like to extrapolate the 2D picks to a 3D X/Y horizon

How do we do that?

Let's check the extents of this horizon

by double-clicking on the horizon in Control Panel

The extents show all the 2D lines this horizon has been picked on

We'd like to extrapolate the 2D horizon to a 3D X/Y horizon

In its current form, any interpolation will be constricted by the 2D survey

We need to translate the picked 2D points to either a 3D survey or to X/Y space

This is where the Regrid operation comes in

Regrid is a great tool

It can translate points from different surveys or XY space, or to a different spatial sampling

For this example, we'll translate the points from the 2D survey to X/Y

Display the 2D horizon in the Map View

and open Regrid under operations tab

Select XY for Survey

Insight will list the XY points and step used for the regrid

We're regridding a large regional horizon

horizon so I'll increase the step to 25m

depending on data, this could just as easily be 100m or 200m

Constrain the area using the polygons AOI

Do not select Interpolate here

as this is for minor interpolation only

We'll conduct our interpolation in the next stage

Click Regrid

Insight will run the regrid

Select Save as new horizon when the regrid has completed

You can see the new horizon only falls within the AOI polygon

selected during Regrid

Let's go back to horizon configuration

and check the extents of the new horizon

It's now on XY only

It's time to interpolate/extrapolate the horizon

as it is no longer constrained by the 2D survey

Under operations, choose the interpolate/extrapolate option

This operation is used to either interpolate data between available points

or to extrapolate the horizon to an area of interest

In this example, we're going to extrapolate our horizon to our AOI polygon

To extrapolate, select the extrapolate tick box

Insight will extrapolate the existing data to the full AOI

specified under Constraints > Area

Insight uses a weighting of Natural Neighbour and Inverse Distance algorithms to interpolate a horizon

Spreading power is the natural neighbour weighting

Smoothing power is the inverse distance weighting

A spreading power of 1 and a smoothing power of 0 (the default) is pure natural neighbour interpolation

A spreading power of 0 and a smoothing power of 1 is pure inverse-distance weighted

A spreading power of 0 and a smoothing power of 2 is inverse-distance squared interpolation

To create a more geologically coherent horizon

set the strike direction under direction and give the strike/dip a weighting

We'll use the defaults for now

Extra constraints such as stopping at faults or fault polygons

can be added to the operation. Click Extrapolate

Once complete you have three options

Discard, Replace this Horizon or Save as a New Horizon

We'll save as a new horizon so we still have a copy of the original 2D horizon

Insight automatically names the horizon

it keeps the old name and adds (extrap) to the end

Insight keeps the operation history on this horizon

Open Horizon Configuration and check out Notes

stack you want to be familiar with your entire sales process from the beginning

where you're developing leads all the way to the end where you're closing

business and signing contracts. By laying your sales process out like this you

allow yourself the opportunity to look at each piece individually and see where

will be the most effective use of technology in your processes. The second

thing that you need to be aware of is there are so many different tools out

there. They will not all fit your needs specifically. Before investing in a

piece of technology make sure that it integrates well with what you're doing

currently. The third thing that you need to be familiar with and be aware of

before developing your sales and marketing stack is you need to be

tracking the right information. If you're not tracking the information

appropriately you're not going to know where to invest your sales and marketing

dollars. Definitely definitely be sure that you are tracking information
