there was like no space for me to even get on stage with my wheelchair, that I ended

up crawling on stage and doing my set on my knees.

It was kind of crazy.

I guess you could say the first time I ever got on stage.

Um, because that's the only time I've ever felt like I was doing something courageous.

My most daring moment on stage, I think, would be coming out as a Transgender woman.

I think that was the thing.

It's kind of hard to top that.

I haven't like saved a puppy on stage.

Attempting to do standup comedy in a uh underground marijuana hotbox speak easy.

I had to perform standup comedy for half comatose high people.

And I think that is courage.

They are similar to burgers.

Eye boogers generally contain oil, dust, germs, etc.

They are formed from the tear film on our eyes.

Does the film have any action scenes?

No.

The tear film mainly consists of three layers, mucin layer, aqueous layer and lipid or oily layer.

Together, these layers moisturize our eyes.

They also trap dust and germs which are removed while blinking.

When we blink, the eyelid closes and if there is any dust or germ.

It gets discarded along with some tear film through the tear duct into the nasal cavity.

But while sleeping, since we don't blink.

The tear film, dust and germs get collected in the inner corners of our eyes and start to dry out.

With the left always trying to make President Donald Trump look like the most hated man

in America, it's hard to for some people to know the truth, thanks to the liberal media's

bias.

Fortunately, it seems that we just got to the bottom of things as Trump entered a packed

room in Missouri – and let's just say onlookers were left shocked by what they saw

in the crowd.

If ever there was one thing the liberal media was good at doing, it's spreading fake news.

At first we heard all this nonsense about Russia, but lately, it seems they're most

interested in Trump's approval ratings.

Most recently, we've seen them gloating about how "bad" they were and how much

he's hated all across the land, but then again, these guys are still listening to the

same pollsters who told them that Hillary Clinton was going to win the election.

Of course, they don't see the problem with it as long as the numbers push their narrative.

The left doesn't so much care about facts as they do about appearances.

Of course, that's exactly why they focus on Trump's supposed approval ratings instead

of the what he's accomplished (i.e. booming economy, stock markets on the rise, etc.)

They're hoping that they can convince the voters that Trump is hated by everyone, so

you should hate him too.

Too bad for them, that didn't work during the election cycle, and it doesn't look

like it's working now.

Proving that most recently was Trump's appearance in St. Charles, Missouri, where he walked

into quite a packed room.

Of course, there were a few liberal protesters there, like always, but too bad for them,

they were outnumbered as hundreds of people had to be turned away as there was simply

not enough room.

However, onlookers would be left shocked after seeing what was in the audience the entire

time.

It started just how you would expect.

With everyone talking and anxiously awaiting, things quickly got quiet as a voice announced

the entrance of the President of the United States.

Everyone in the room immediately rose to their feet and thunderous applause could be heard

– and things only got better from there.

President Trump stepped onto a stage decorated with Christmas trees and signs that read "Merry

Christmas," and he kicked off his speech by reminding everyone that, this year, we

would all be saying "Merry Christmas."

Still, that wasn't the best of what was to come as members of the crowd were left

shocked when they looked all around them.

As it turns out, no one wanted to sit in their seats.

Yes, you read that right – for 40 minutes, as Trump spoke, every single person in the

venue was standing, according to IJ Review.

As the president cracked jokes and ribbed the "fake news" networks, everyone stood.

As he then shifted his focus to attack Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), not a single seat

was occupied.

At several times during the event, the audience burst out into laughter and applause.

In the end, the entire ordeal turned out to be a 40-minute standing ovation to the President

of the United States.

Although it's not known whether this was done out of respect or simply because everyone

was so excited to see the man they waited so patiently for, the sight was spectacular

nonetheless.

The left needs to reevaluate their tactics because they simply aren't working.

They tried to make Trump out to be a fool, and he got elected while they lost their credibility.

Sadly, these morons are still doing much of the same, even though it cost them the election

as well as their reputation.

Hopefully, these liberals keep doing what they're doing – they're just helping

him win in 2020 too.

Our new First Lady Melania Trump released her first White House Christmas video this

past Monday.

It shows all the decorations which illustrate a stark difference between the Trump�s and

the Obama�s Christmas at the White House celebration.

The most obvious difference between the two decorating styles is the ambiance.

Melania Trump decorated the White House to look like a peaceful and magical place, very

elegant and the definition of what Christmas is supposed to be.

She shared the video of the display on her Instagram page.

The Christmas decorations and some scenes looked just like a true come to life winter

fairytale land, something out of a book.

But what is most important about this video is the nativity scene, which had been absent

from the White House since Barack Hussein Obama took office in 2009.

The fact that the White House once again has a nativity scene proves beyond any shadow

of a doubt that President Trump did, in fact, keep his promise to bring �Christmas back�

and end the so-called �Happy Holiday� movement.

What a difference one year can make.

The Obama�s final Christmas in the White House had no mention of Jesus whatsoever.

The decorations included a vast display of Lego gingerbread houses.

Michelle actually hired a team of Lego builders to build a total of 56 gingerbread houses

which required a total of over 200,000 Lego pieces.

Because we all know nothing says �Christmas� and �Jesus� like Legos.

In fact, the Obama era decorations had nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus at all.

Christmas Traditions at the White House

Nineteenth-century White House Christmas celebrations were not grand state affairs but usually simple

family events.

The first family decorated the house with greens and there were celebrations on the

holiday.

The first White House Christmas party was held in December 1800.

President and Mrs. Adams gave it for their four-year-old granddaughter Suzannah, who

was living with them.

The Adams invited the children of �official� Washington to the party.

One of the most elaborate children�s Christmas parties was President Andrew Jackson�s �frolic�

for the children of his household in 1834.

This party included games, dancing, a grand dinner, and ended with an indoor �snowball

fight� with specially made cotton balls.

The first Christmas tree in the White House was placed in the second floor Yellow Oval

Room (then used as a family parlor and library) in 1889 (Benjamin Harrison administration).

It was decorated with candles, toys, etc. for the Harrison grandchildren.

The Cleveland Family tree decorated with red, white and blue electric light bulbs, delighted

the president�s young daughters.

It was placed in the second floor Oval Room of the White House in 1894.

a few words.

To me fashion is creativity.

I think fashion is a format born to create trends.

To me fashion is being different.

Personally, I think that fashion is a way to show who you are.

I think for me, fashion is the ability to create styles that last.

Fashion is a way of expressing inner beauty.

For me fashion is about self expression and it is very similar to art I think.

Fashion, for me, is a way to express your personality.

I think fashion is what we want other people to believe about us, so it's a sort of status.

Creativity and also business; trends, something that most of people share, but it is also

a way to express our personality.

Fashion is a balancing act between the past and the future.

Most of the time, trends refer to the previous decades.

One season is the salon atmosphere of the 50's.

The next season is the flowers of the 70's, then could be the disco glitter of the 80's

and so on and so forth.

What makes a company fashionable is its capability to take inspiration from the past, and then

to give this past a contemporary flair.

You need a heritage, you need an archive, but then you need to adapt the product to

the contemporary needs.

You need to use different fabrics: lighter and more comfortable.

You need to evolute it, maybe not revolutionize the shapes of what you are doing.

5:00 Now, by far my favorite one, Oscar Wilde:

a poet, a writer, and as well, a very elegant gent.

He wrote, "Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it very

six months."

important theoretical concept.

Fashion companies succeed in persuading us to buy new products every six months because

they are able to associate the idea of change not to the physical usage of the product,

but to the idea that aesthetics should vary accordingly to the new season.

That is because there are new aesthetics and we should express our personality in a different

manner.

The artificial shortening of the product's life cycle is what explains why fashion companies

are able to sell more and to sell better than other industries.

So, to have an increase of their revenues and profitability in the short term and of

the brand equity in the long term.

ever, a very inspiring powerful woman and yet, a very successful brand.

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only.

Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what

is happening."

logic is a treatment that can be applied to many different industries.

Fashion is not only clothing, and by the way, not all clothes are fashionable.

For example a white tee shirt with a five a denim pocket pair of jeans are basic, they

are products that we could wear every day.

There is also the possibility to apply these seasonal trends to many other product categories.

Today fashion companies sell fragrances, they sell handbags, eyewear, watches, and jewelry.

More and more, they do not only sell products, they sell experiences.

So they open hotels, clubs, and many other different territories.

The possibility to extend the brand into many categories is what makes these companies very

profitable.

I also have to add that fashion as a treatment is not limited to a specific price range.

In the lecture about business models, we will go more in depth about the industry segmentation;

but fashion is a concept that applies from the luxury at the top of the market down to

the mass market.

"Fashions fade, style is eternal."

Yves Saint Laurent, another very talented designer made the difference between a trend

and a style.

8:15 A style can be defined as a permanent combination

of materials, colors, proportions, and occasional views; as such it may apply to many different

industries.

For example, in art we can differentiate between Baroque art and Pop art.

8:33 In the car industry there are station wagons

and city cars.

In the clothing industry there is the minimalism style: whose designers prefer geometrical-clean

shapes and understatement; and there are other designers that are more in the exuberant in

their style, more into showing off and more characterized.

long time.

They become fashionable just in the specific moment in which they are adopted by the vast

majority of people.

and because of that they change.

companies is that on one hand, they have to build their own, unique, recognizable style.

They need to have a personality, they need to have some stylistic cause the customers

will forever associate with the brand; On the other hand, in order to stay fashionable,

they need the style to evolve.

The challenge is to be able to adapt and filter the trends throughout their own eyes, throughout

their own personality.

If you want to be fashionable, you definitely must be contemporary, you must be relevant

for consumers as they are today.

I'm Annick Schramme from Antwerp Management School.

I'm also a professor at the University of Antwerp.

My expertise lies in the management and policy

of creative and culture industries.

And more particularly in fashion management.

There is a growing interest in local labels, in the local market,

also from the consumer perspective.

I think it's really the other side of globalization.

What's important for this independent designer,

who wants to focus on the local market,

is, first of all, that he has a strong label.

But on the other hand, nobody's waiting for a new label.

Maybe that sounds harsh,

and not motivating,

but it's really important to realize that.

There is no sector where the gap between the image, the perception,

and the economic reality is so big.

So it's very important, if you are creative,

that you're also aware of the high competition on market.

So you need to be entrepreneurial, you need to know about finance,

how to overcome the cashflow problem.

Who do you want to reach? Who is your audience?

Who is your public? Who wants to buy your clothes?

You need to think about that in advance.

Otherwise you will never succeed and you will get disappointed.

And that's a pity of course.

I think, compared to other programs located in the big fashion cities,

they are all focusing on the luxury market,

while Antwerp is really known for its creativity, its avant-garde.

And its high-end independent designers.

I think our program is really unique, because it's really international.

You start in Antwerp and you get,

first of all, insight in the fashion industry.

What are the different segments, what are the different dynamics?

And of course, what is typical for the Antwerp fashion ecosystem?

Besides that, you get some introductory courses

in finance, strategy, HR, marketing and communication,

typically for the fashion industry.

Then you have to choose the topic that you want to investigate.

And then you go to a non-European country,

in this case to Brazil.

There you get a course in the fashion industry over there,

because it's an emerging market.

And you will get contact with the industry,

and gather information about your topic.

From March on, you're back in Antwerp.

Then you have to apply this knowledge into your practical project,

and to elaborate it, in collaboration with another institution

in a European fashion city, such as Milan, Paris or London.

The participants will have diverse backgrounds.

I'm sure about that.

But I think we can distinguish two groups.

One with a creative background

who want to develop their entrepreneurial and management skills.

And the other part, that already has management experience,

but really want to work in the fashion industry.

Because it's really an industry with very specific dynamics.

We want to achieve the best quality,

so we are also looking for the best qualified teachers.

But it's always a combination of academics, that's one part,

with knowledge of the industry of course,

and on the other hand, professionals.

Over the years we developed a very good contact

with the high-end designers in Antwerp.

They are prepared to come and talk about how they manage their business.

So: the best quality and the best teachers.

Hey and welcome to a new "do it yourself" video, this time I made something for the upcoming christmas time

I want to show you my selfmade advent wreath because I wanted it a little bit darker and not that like typical glittery christmas stuff

at first you need a plate that has a star shape, I found this simple white one at a dollar store

then you need black acrylic paint, a brush and a color palette but that is just optional

then I found these four dark red candles at dm (drugstore)

at next I found these decor metallic rolls in silver

then a chain of lights and it has the shape of icicles

and you can't see it very well but I used decor sand but just the red one

I started to paint the whole plate with the black acrylic paint, I would recommend to apply two layers of paint for a higher coverage

the first layer was also enough but I liked to cover everything white

this is how it looks when the paint dried, then I pour the red sand into the plate but just a thin layer

at next I placed the candles and to be honest I didn't think it would be that hard to place them

because of the shape it was difficult to place four candles properly so I placed them centered

then I started to lay around the chain of lights

I personally wanted to have a chain of lights in it because I know that you don't turn on the candles very often and it's nice to light it up that way

I randomly started to decorate and I didn't have a concrete plan though, so I decided to put in some small black roses and the silver metallic rolls

and I spontaneously decided to use the black roses for the corners of the star

the bad thing is that you can see the battery thing of the chain of lights but I tried to hide it as good as I can

to fix the roses I used some hot glue, so they will stay in place

and this is the finished result, I personally like this advent so much more than the "normal" ones, also it matches our furniture much better
